Have you noticed every time the Obama Administration wants to enact a radical policy we’re faced with The End of The Country as we know it if we don’t pass the current boondoggle immediately.There is no intelligent reason to vote to increase the Debt Ceiling. We don’t have to default on anything. When you hit your credit card limit do you ask the credit card company to increase your limit. No, you pay the minimums and cut expenses until you can bring your balance below the limit . Sounds simple doesn’t it. Then, WHY DON’T THESE TALKING HEADS AND MEDIA TOADIES GET THE MESSAGE?

If we were to raise the Debt Limit there would simply be another rash of spending until we faced the same problem again next year.We need SPENDING LIMITS-NOT INCREASES!

Draw a Line in the Sand and force the Democrat experts to cut spending now! If you cut spending by the same level they’re asking us to raise the Debt Limit the supposed danger of default vanishes.

Those owning U. S Securities would be less likely to panic and sell their holdings if we were to show some financial sense and Permanently Cut Spending and vote to Reduce our Debt Limit. Think about it. If we started to show some fiscal responsibility companies would start hiring, the real unemployment rate of 17% would drop like a rock. Markets, seeing the increased optimism and activity would take off and the current depression would evaporate almost immediately. Seniors would stop worrying about their retirement and we could reform rather than cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Folllow me for a minute. We’re supposed to believe that Bernanke, Geithner, Obama and most of the Democrat lawmakers are financial wizards when they tell us that the quickest way to get out of a financial hole is to keep borrowing and spending? You go to be kidding.

A previous column went into great detail on how we could cut spending drastically. A quick review. Eliminate the Dept. of Education altogether and return control of Education to local communities. Sell the Postal Service to UPS and/or Fed Ex. Eliminate the FDA and contract those services to Consumers Union. Abolish the EPA and transfer their more sensible policies to the Dept. of the Interior. Abolish Public Service Unions and end this illusion that actual collective bargaining exists between Government and their financiers.

Drastic, hell, I’m just getting started!

Teachers Attack The Wrong People

If youʼve been following the news lately “Teachers” across the country are out in the street demonstrating against further cuts in education. Weʼre hearing complaints that we arenʼt “fully” funding Education, whatever that means.

We used to have Elementary schools and High Schools until they came up with the idea of a middle school. What did that accomplish? New schools were built, at significant cost increases. More teachers were hired adding even more costs. And the quality of our childrenʼs education deteriorated.

Then we were told that the problem was that class sizes were too large and teachers couldnʼt provide each student with the personal attention needed to improve their overall education. The results, more teachers were hired, at substantial costs and the quality of our childrenʼs education got worse. Remember when a teacher controlled, fully educated and demanded the respect of classes of 35 to 40 children who actually learned something.

Compare that with the recent Department of Justice Announcement that 145,100 Public-School teachers were attacked by students and 276,700 were threatened with injury during 2010. In my day that would be unheard of. When we took discipline out of the classroom we created a real Blackboard Jungle.

In spite of these funding increases, the clamor for even more money to “fully fund” our childrenʼs education continued. Federal, State and Local Governments poured billions of dollars into elementary and high schools.

The amount spent per pupil on education in the country has increased over 30% while student achievement has not improved and some claim even deteriorated.

Where did the money go? Consider the Education Bureaucracy. We have a Federal Dept . of Education, State Deptʼs of Education, County Deptʼs of Education and in some cases even City Deptʼs of Education all staffed with Union members.

Remember when the education of our children was a LOCAL matter run by Local school Boards? Now we have a bloated bureaucracy, increased red tape, paperwork and administrative costs and a multitude of unfunded mandates. Currently, there are over 4,000 employees at the federal Department of Education making an average annual salary of over $100.000. Consider the salaries of those employed at the State, County, City and Local Deptʼs of education and you can see where all the money went! It sure didnʼt get to the class room.

We never had a Federal Depʼt of Education until the 1960ʼs and donʼt need one now.

If I were a teacher Iʼd be outraged too, but my outrage would be directed at the Unions and Bureaucrats that work hand in hand to siphon dollars from the classroom..

Have You Ever Wondered Who Selected The Current Crop of Black “Leaders”

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Charlie Rangel and others of their ilk have been appointed by the Democtrat Party and the “Main Stream Media” as the GO TO representatives of the Black population of the United States.

These phonies are front and center whenever an injustice, real or imagined, is perpetrated upon one of their race. Theyʼre shown leading marches in the streets, featured in the headlines and first to be interviewed by their “Main Stream Media” partners. They guard their positions of “leadership” jealously and are the first to label real Black leaders as pretenders or Uncle Tomʼs.

Have you ever wondered why youʼve never seen them lead a picket line at a failed inner city school? Think about it, these parasites eagerly seek out even minor slights yet totally ignore the biggest crime against Black Children since Slavery.

Have you seen the crowds of Black parents with their children at the lotteries held to gain admittance to inner city Charter Schools. Those selected rejoice while the unlucky ones are sentenced to yet another year attending a dangerous, sub standard location that passes for a school in too many of our inner cities. Yet we donʼt hear a peep out of the “appointed leaders”, nor a headline or lead story from the “main stream media”. (They donʼt deserve to be capitalized). The school district actually hired a private investigator who shot a video of this mother driving her children to the forbidden school.

This is not an oversight, they both know whatʼs going on. If not with their support, surely with their deliberate neglect. They donʼt dare oppose the teachers unions, who fund the campaigns of the elected officials, who are responsible for the conditions in these schools.

Where was the support for the mother who was sent to jail for falsifying the record of her residence so her children could attend a safer and better school? Who among us would not do exactly the same thing to protect and educate our children?

Where was the support when school officials asked her to pay $30,000 in back tuition?

A better question is What Are We Going to do about the problem?

Our media has been sold to us as our eyes and ears on the Government, our protection against malfeasance in office in addition to providing us with the NEWS of the day. Those days are gone forever.

Recently a forum of journalists actually voted on whether they should be mandated to tell us both sides of a particular story or controversy. A majority actually voted against this concept. Their explanations were as hairbrained as their votes.

They claim that Fox News simply repeats the Republican talking points. Have you noticed the words and even the phrasing and headlines are almost identical from paper to paper, station to station and program to program as they present their side of any particular story. Remember “Gravitas”?

Their headlines bemoaned the fact that levels of Mercury above that authorized by the FDA were found in some Tuna and Swordfish. Yet nary a word about the Mercury levels in the cfl bulbs they’ve mandated. Have you seen the instructions
for cleaning up after one of these happens to break?

The USA Today banners “Nonsense about death panels’ springs back to life”.
While they ignore the FACT that the FDA currently condemns Terminally Ill patients to death by denying them access to experimental drug testing programs.
They also overlook the Fact that every country with socialized healthcare is forced to withhold many end of life treatments from patients simply because of their costs.

“Let’s Grow Our Own Fuel” They praised the use of Ethanol and even provided subsidies for people to grow corn for this con job. Then they ignored the fact that the price of corn went through the roof increasing the cost of feed for cattle causing beef prices to increase. And I haven’t even got to the byproducts yet.

In spite of the fact that people can’t find a job they kept parroting Obama’s Summer of Recovery wishful thinking slogan.

Now that the republicans are determined to repeal Obama’s Health Care monstrosity were seeing a barrage of headlines supporting this job killing, budget busting piece of garbage. “Law’s impact on jobs likely to be modest”.”Vitriol eases on health care law” “Calling health law a job killer doesn’t necessarily make it so” Poll says opposition to health care law is softer” etc., etc. All of the reputable pollsters tell us that 60% of Americans want it REPEALED!

Here’s an even better one “Obama’s ratings surge as voters optimism rises”. Under what rock did they find these optimists.

Have you noticed the full page ads, often 2 or 3 per edition, running in most Daily newspapers, “Buying your Gold, Silver& Platinum. Or the outfit that sends you an envelope for you to send them your precious metal items and they’ll send you what it’s worth. In spite of the fact that Consumer groups are warning us that people are receiving a pittance compared to what their items are actually worth, the prostitutes in the media turn a blind eye to these claims. One such ad claims to offer you a minimum of $12.00 for $1.00 Silver coins minted prior to 1935. What a deal, since the silver content of that coin is going for about $30.00.

In short, integrity in Journalism is a DEAD issue. Some say the media is biased. I don’t believe that at all. The problem is that the Elites in media share a belief in the Progressive Agenda and see no legitimate reason for bringing you anything other than progressive propaganda.

The degree of stability of consumer spending is a reflection of the consumer’s continued feeling of well-being and a high degree of confidence in their own future. If the consumer each year is able to look back upon an increase in their net income, they can look forward to improver personal prosperity. Consumers who purchase big items on credit--who take on major credit commitments--need to feel confident about their prospects for future income. Since the consumer is always the most important single factor in determining whether business is good or bad it follows that consumer demand is a key sector of our economy.

Consumers have to learn to buy and consume in order to survive and function in the American economy. Although many excellent organizations are working to improve consumer welfare, the best protection against consumer fraud is a well informed consumer, one well grounded in personal economic competence.

A consumer education mandate So that all students who leave high school are provided with a basic understanding of our private enterprise system and with instruction in consumer education. In the past many states have passed consumer education mandates few schools have included consumer education in their curriculum.

Our economy is constantly changing, due in large part to it’s continuing development of new products, services and methods for meeting the changing needs. In our economy, we are free to exercise choice among many alternatives in both earning and spending. Our ability in the United States, to produce quantities of goods and services has raised the standard of living of the average consumer far beyond that of most of he rest of the world. This continues to be true even though we have unemployment and poverty in our society.

as Demand and Income. Increases of the items that appear in the right half of the circle such as Employment and Production.

Consumer education aims to help the student to become an informed consumer; to understand the role of the consumer in our society; to develop a sound decision making process based upon one’s goals and values; to utilize resources to facilitate greater satisfaction in making consumer decisions; to understand the rights and responsibilities of the consumer in society.
Instead, our Government, educators, media and even our elected representatives would prefer to keep the public at large uninformed and susceptible to their manipulation and easy prey to the shysters, WHY?

Real Deficit Cutting Ideas

In December a “Bipartisan Commission” of political cronies came up with a multitude of ideas they claim would trim $4 trillion of our $14 trillion national debt, over the next 10 years. If you paid any attention to the details, their ideas, as usual, were long on increased taxes and short on budget cuts.

I have a few suggestions that would accomplish twice the reduction in half the time.

Abolish the Department of Education and return to local control of the education of our children. Established in the 60’s this boondoggle succeeded in dumbing down our system of education while tripling the cost. Currently, we have national, state and county Departments of Education while we’re graduating kids, those who don’t drop out, who can’t read, write or count.

Abolish the U.S. Postal Service. The continued growth of e-mail has resulted in the tripling of the USPS annual debt. FedEx and or UPS would be more than happy to step in and fill the void.

Abolish the Food & Drug Administration. I could write a book on the reasons why, but I’ll limit myself to their most grievous faults. They’ve been a day late and a dollar short in taking action prior to actually recalling tainted foods. Their regulations require drug companies to spend billions in testing and retesting and turn around and complain about the high cost of the end product and arbitrarily limit the length of time of the patented results of that testing.. They deny TERMINALLY ILL patients access to experimental drug tests and are supported by the Supreme Court’s ruling that there is no constitutional right to receive unapproved drugs. What don’t they understand about the term TERMINALLY ILL? What do those people have to lose?? Talk about Death Panels. Explain that to me! FDA functions could be replaced by an expansion of the Consumers Union who do an excellent, and graft free, job of Consumer Testing and Reporting. Cellular intervention to slow aging is a science in it’s infancy. It seems as if the FDA is determined to keep it there. Although I can understand that seniors living longer would devastate Obamacare.

Demand Congressional approval of regulatory agency mandates prior to their
implementation. These groups play fast and loose when forcing questionable
mandates onto private sector companies.

Scrap the or severely modify the Endangered Species program. They sold us on the idea that a handful of animals were in danger of becoming extinct. Now one nut wants the thousands of varieties of Beetles added to the list. Add up the time, money and jobs lost when public projects are litigated and delayed for years simply because someone “says” they saw an endangered species on the site.

In closing I ask that you run through the lengthly list of U.S. Departments, Boards, Commissions, Committees and Agencies, each of which have a staff, sub committees and a substantial budget. Then tell me that we couldn’t get along very well with about 25% of just those listed.

And I’m just getting warmed up!

If they’re dumb enough to buy the idea that single payor health care will not lead to rationed care and Death Panels. In spite of the fact that every current Universal Healthcare program in the world has been forced by rising costs to adopt those elements. They’re dumb enough to buy the propaganda that Russia is a workers Paradise.

While their leaders claim to want to eliminate their dependence on foreign oil, they refuse to drill for their own oil. And this while we and the Chinese drill in their backyard. Let’s see how long their NATO Alliance lasts when we cut off oil and gas deliveries to their European members.

While our citizens riot in the streets to protest our selections, I mean elections, they readily elect incompetents to their highest offices. People who have no experience, think they have 57 states and can’t deliver a speech without a teleprompter.

They stand by silently when these idiots reduce the strength of their nation and urge the signing of one sided treaties.All while their President spends his time playing golf or traveling the world apologizing for America’s past transgressions.
Dimitry, when have we ever apologized for anything we’ve done?
While the Start Treaty signed by him and ratified by the U S Senate restricts the U S from building and operating missile defense systems. He tells his people the treaty “places NO limitations on the development or deployment of our missile defense programs”. He sounds like a Russian.

Talk about gullible. they ignore the fact they we’re providing Communist Nations in their own backyard with missiles and apologize for and hesitate to provide Eastern European countries with the missile defense systems they had promised, Go figure.

How quickly can we implement this advertising program

When you went to school, how many students were in your classroom?Did your teacher(s) have any trouble maintaining order?

Were failing students passed just to move them along?

Were your teachers afraid of censure or worse if they failed a student?

Did you have any idea what the political leanings of your teacher(s) were?

Did your teacher(s) ask you or your parents for the assistance in any actions for or against education related ballot measures?

Did your teacher(s) dress as professionals or did they dress down to the level of their students?

What were the actions of your parents to a failing grade or a problem with your conduct in school?

Did you have any idea of the sexual orientation of your teacher?

In my grammar school classroom Sister Mary Christine, all of 5’ 4” taught 38 students seven different subjects and never had any trouble maintaining order. Every student earned a passing grade. Once in a while someone would receive a rap on the knuckles or a tap to the back of the head for some transgression. No one was ever maimed, nor did any parent race to protest. I never heard anyone verbally attack, disrespect or use any vulgarity directed towards any of the nuns or lay teachers during my 12 years in grammar and high school.

Marginal students were given extra attention after school or the parents were notified and additional homework was assigned. No one ever failed a subject so it was never necessary to pass an unqualified student along to the next grade level. Parents and teachers alike felt it would be a personal failure if a student failed to pass a course.

The only politics that were ever discussed during my, or my children’s elementary education was when JFK was running for president. “He was Irish and Catholic, what other qualification was necessary?”

We were never asked to march, for any reason or bring political literature home to our parents. We, as students and parents, expected teachers to teach the assigned subjects...period.

The role of the teacher today has changed dramatically. They are unable to maintain order in their classroom, physically reprimand a student or hug a frightened first or second grader and almost ordered to pass a student along whether they actually learned anything or not.

Where did all the money we poured into education over the last thirty years go? Class sizes were cut in half, the number of teachers were doubled and administrators tripled. A Department of Education was established in Washington and a number of questionable and often unfunded regulations were imposed at all levels of education. We allowed Unions to control our children’s education. One local union leader in California, when asked about the effect of a mandate on the students, responded “I’ll start worrying about the students when they start paying dues”. Troubled schools are the rule rather than the exception in our inner cities while our supposedly concerned President cancels a Successful Charter School program in D.C. Where do we go from here?

I’m beginning to think We’re as Dumb as they think we are

While I continue to berate our elected officials of both parties, the elite media, the extreme left, secular humanists, progressives, unions, the government school system, college professors and a host of other miscreants, I have to admit that we, the American people, deserve as much criticism.

Yeah, I know we’re busy raising families, working to make ends meet under a ton of mostly ridiculous government regulations and taxes, but our lack of reaction to actions by people in power has allowed the kook fringe to frame the debate.

A significant number of people in my sphere of influence don’t subscribe to a daily newspaper, and pay scant attention to local, state and national legislation that will have a significant effect on their lives. Some of them actually still believe that if a news anchor says something on the air or if they read it in a newspaper it must be true.

The Democrat Party of Jack Kennedy doesn’t exist anymore, yet many of our seniors continue to vote for what passes for a Democrat Party today. They may have lived through the depression and still revere the party of FDR. They may buy the propaganda that the Democrat Party is still the party of the poor and middle class. I’ve had people that I know and respect tell me that the Republican Party of today is still the party of the rich and big business. In fact the Democrat Party would collapse if we actually won the War on Poverty. It’s in their best, no their vital interest, to maintain a significant number of our population beholden to the Government for their very existence.

Too many of you have bought into the Global Warming Scare in spite of the fact that there’s been no warming since 1998, forcing them to change their mantra to Climate Change. The fact that over 2000 eminent scientists recently rejected the entire concept as poor science was ignored by our government leaders and their media lackeys. In case you have a short memory, many of the current Global Warming enthusiasts were warning us of the coming Ice Age as late as 1975.

They’ve convinced a majority of you that they can’t cut taxes because the “cost” would add to the deficit. They hope you don’t remember that every time the marginal tax rates are cut, tax revenues to the government GO UP dramatically. They ignore the increase and try to focus on the myth that less tax would be collected.They’ve sold you on the idea that they represent Mainstream America based upon their agenda rather than fact.

Too many of you accepted the Bush Lied slogan even though the record shows most of those making the claim bought into the same intelligence Bush acted upon. Democrats claim to be the party of choice yet fight any attempt to allow you to choose the school that would best educate your children yet you continue to allow them to experiment with your children.

Too many of you have accepted the idea that the Government can do everything, when in fact, you can’t find one government program that wouldn’t be considered a dismal failure and those responsible sent to jail in the private sector.

Only half of those eligible to vote are registered and only about half of those registered actually cast a ballot. In contrast, legal-immigrants-turned- citizens vote in significantly larger numbers and find it difficult to understand our indifference. In short, we are responsible for the current conditions in this country. The question is what are we going to do about it?

Democrat PACS or Charitable Tax favored Organizations?

AARP-The American Association of Retired People sold their soul to the Democrats a long time ago. They scream bloody murder when Bush announces his Social Security reform program but you don’t hear a peep out of them when Clinton raises taxes on their Social Security income.

NOW-The National Organization of Women, a darling of the main stream media rarely supports Conservative or Republican women. In spite of this record the media regularly seeks their opinion on current issues, in spite of the fact that there are much larger and more representative Women’s groups available. How can anyone take a supposed women’s advocate group that has supported womanizers like Bill Clinton and Edward “Ted” Kennedy seriously?

The Old Main Stream Media-the major news networks, newspapers and national news magazines lost all credibility when they allowed the progressive agenda to dominate their news coverage as well as their opinion and editorial pages. Their refusal to provide balanced coverage of the War on Terrorism, refusal to vet Obama and other Democrat candidates and their antagonistic approach to anything Conservative while parroting the Democrat talking points is proof enough for me.

NPR & PBS-Here we have elements of the media supported financially by the Public that betray their trust daily by their radical partisanship in programming and “news coverage”. Their firing Juan Williams for not being liberal enough was the last straw. Did you hear their lame excuses?

Major Unions-This gets a little sticky. When the Democrats gave the unions veto power over major elements of their party platform they abdicated their former position of power over one of their major sources of campaign finances. When you consider the blatant gifts Obama has made to these unions it becomes difficult to figure out which is the dog and which is the tail.

Black ”Leaders”-Those individuals who have been anointed by the media rather than elected by their constituents and charged by the Democrat Party to deliver the Black vote. There are an abundance of Black leaders who place the best interest of their people above glorification by the media who never receive the publicity their works deserve. Instead the media chooses to focus their attention on the crazies who claim the Government blew up the levees in New Orleans. Bill Cosby was a darling of the media until he started to tell his Black audiences the truth. The attempts to assassinate his character, a stock in trade of the Democrat Party, followed immediately. Katrina gave us a good look at the abject poverty rampant in a city controlled by Democrats for decades. I guess it’s in the best interest of the Democrat Party to keep the inner city Black populations beholden to them for their meager existence. These “leaders” are quick to lead a march to protest almost anything but when was the last time you heard one of the current crop of “Black Leaders” of marching to support a Black mother forced to send her children to a substandard school?

Gas Prices Too High? We’ve heard all of the lies, Now I’ll give you the facts

We’ve been told that there’s nothing we can do that will have a short term effect and they’re telling us that a 35 cents a gallon tax increase is the only way to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. I believe they’re wrong on both counts.

We can ignore the environuts and start drilling in Anwar. Remember these are the same clowns who told us that the pipeline would ruin the environment and decimate the Caribou herds, what happened? The environment remained the same and the caribou herds, attracted by the warmth of the pipes, increased dramatically. The announcement of this decision alone will have an immediate effect on oil prices.

We can expand drilling operations in the Gulf of Mexico and off our coastlines. They’re using the BP oil spill and subsequent Obama moratorium as an excuse to further their Discredited Global Warming scare. The immediate increase in drilling activity in the gulf would provide us with an increase in supplies even quicker than Anwar.

We can devise One Nationwide Gasoline Formula. Refineries are now required to produce 40 different formulations for different areas across the country. This causes delays when they have to shut down to switch from one formula to another. It also causes shortages when one area runs low and their nearest refinery is producing another blend at that time. C’mon, ignore the kooks, it’s ridiculous. The EPA can come up with one formula that should satisfy most concerns. Any holdouts can ride their bikes.

We can double the current number of refineries. We haven’t built a new refinery in this country for the past 30 years while the demand for oil has skyrocketed. Between the NIMBYS and moronic government regulations it takes over 15 years from concept to production to get a new refinery up and running, that’s ridiculous.

Forget Lower Cafe Standards. For every action there’s a reaction. Every time we demand that manufacturers increase the miles per gallon their cars must provide, we get smaller, lighter more dangerous cars and higher repair bills. Manufacturers are now running safety checks on bumpers at 5 mph. 5 miles per hour and plastic bumpers, for pete’s sake where do we go from here? A few years ago coming home from the grocery store I was collecting bags from the passenger seat I must have hit the emergency brake release. After I had gone into the house the car rolled down the 5% grade in the driveway and hit the gardeners truck. The bumper and trunk wound up in the back seat. The bill was over $2,500, give us back our steel bumpers, or at least pre formed aluminum..

We’re not running out of oil! Even the most dire predictions give us another 50 or 60 years before it gets serious...if we’re allowed to drill for the oil we know is there. Let’s face it, regardless of all the propaganda, oil is going to be the engine that drives the world’s economy for years to come. Increased competition between oil companies and gas stations would also help. We’ve allowed oil companies to swallow up the independent gas stations and squeeze their own franchises. Let’s reverse the trend.

At this point scalpers and speculators have succeeded in running up the price of oil futures. The mere announcement that we were taking the steps I’ve outlined will have an immediate effect on OPEC and the oil markets. We claim to want to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil but refuse to drill while Russia and China have increased their drilling operations all over the world. Did you know that Russia provides a substantial amount of oil and natural gas to Europe? Stop and think about the level of control this will provide both countries over these customers. What are we waiting for?

Democrats Think Cuba Is A Utopia

For years we’ve heard a number of our Democrat leaders and clowns from Hollywood extoll the virtues of Life In Cuba."They have universal health care and a high rate of literacy." They utterly ignore the fact that the Cuban People don’t share their views. How desperate must one get before you get on a makeshift raft hoping to reach the United States over 90 miles of open seas?

Katrina exposed the abysmal poverty of a significant number of New Orleans residents who lived under 50 years of Democrat rule. You can find a number of U.S. cities who have been controlled by Democrat Govemors, Mayors and/or City Councils that mirror the same conditions.

It seems that our elected Democrat officials, having reached elitist status themselves, feel that the common people should live in subsidized housing, crammed into major cities, take public transportation or bike to work, be satisfied with sending their children to Government schools and be thankful for the crumbs they allow us.

Once you understand the basis for their legislative goals, things like the Global Warming Hoax, refusal to drill for our own oil, phony water shortages, slavish support of school unions and “environmental activists”, a willingness to kill babies and their ravenous appetite for more and more taxes become almost frighteningly apparent.

In spite of the fact that Communism or Socialism have never worked, while Capitalism has been the engine for growth and prosperity, they’re determined to destroy that engine. One Clinton appointee told us we had no business being the only major super power. They point to universal health care in most of Europe and ignore the fact the United States makes it possible for those countries skimp on their defense budget by our treaties to (help) defend them.

We're told by the new Messiah that he’s going to change the failed policies of the past eight years. They ignore the fact that Bush inherited a recession, was immediately hit with 9/11, the war in Iraq and still saw 6 years of significant economic growth before actions by Democrats destroyed that progress.

Obama and his minions blame greedy lenders and Wall Street for our current economic plight. The truth is that Neighborhood Redevelopment Fiasco by Carter, continued by Clinton and bastardized by Democrat Legislators caused this situation. In 2001 and 12 times over his eight year term Bush pointed out that the conditions caused by Government forcing banks to provide loans to people who had absolutely no ability to repay them was causing the downfall of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac and the worthless paper they were distributing Wall Street. The Democrats rushed to the defense of these institutions and supported the lack of regulatory oversight and the Democrat principals who ran Freddie and Fannie, blocking any remedial action.

The Democrats think Cuba is Utopia and can’t wait to duplicate those conditions in the United States!

Democrats Definition of Bipartisanship

Democrats from Obama to Pelosi promised to reach across the aisle to invite the input of Republicans during the recent campaign.Obama scheduled meetings with Republican Leaders and repeated his promise to consider their input.

What happened? Pelosi locked Republicans out of the process of the “Stimulus Bill” and refused to allow Republican Amendments. Then She and Reid locked the Republicans out of the House/Senate Compromise Committee approving the final wording of the bill. Nancy’s response, We won, you lost, live with it.

The Democrat main stream media pleaded for bipartisanship when the Republicans had the edge in Congress but say nothing about the strong arm tactics now that their cohorts hold the upper hand.

In short, Bipartisanship means Republicans should abandon their principles and cross the aisle to agree with Democrats Progressive, Socialist and even Communist principles but there’s no way in Hell the Democrats are going to give an inch.

Recently, the Socialist State of California, where runaway spending has the State in a $42 Billion shortfall, the legislature took months to pass their budget. It takes a two thirds vote to pass and they were 1 vote short. The Republicans were adamantly against any new taxes and continued to hold the line. The media was up in arms. Those unfeeling republicans were harming Schools, Police & Firemen, Seniors and State workers. The fact that the Democrats were harming all of those groups even more by their reckless tax and spend policies was never mentioned. They finally coerced one Republican to cross the line and the budget was passed in a “Bipartisanship” manner.
Democrat media editorials the following week extolled the importance of lowering the budget approval threshold to 55 percent so they'll never have to deal with those wascally Wepublicans again. One law professor at a State College suggested they adhere to a basic democratic principle-a simple majority vote.

Democrats cry that Bush never reached across the aisle, yet he allowed Ted Kennedy to write the No Child Left Behind Bill that the media constantly represents as Bush’s bill. During his eight years Bush regularly invited and lncorporated the input of Democrat members of the House and Senate and never received any credit for his efforts.

The art of Compromise is a vital element in any negotiation. The problem arises when one side has no principles and the other staunchly defends their basic principles. In the recent election the American public bought the "Hope and Change" slogan of a Pied Piper. He lied when he said no lobbyists would be allowed in his administration. He lied when he promised Transparency and his minions passed the "Stimulus Bill" without his promised exposure to the public. He lied again when he promised Accountability and packed his Cabinet nominations with tax cheats.

I don't know about you but I wonder just who or what group is pulling the strings of our new President?

Only Government Can Do It

Obama is telling us that Government is the only answer to the current mess we’re in. I don‘t know about you but looked high and low for a Government Program, any program that’s run by the Govemment that isn’t a complete disaster.Bloated administrations, budget overruns, outright fraud, missing equipment and an atrocious relationship with the recipients of those programs is the norm.

Let's take Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac for example. We set up these quasi governmental programs, staff them with Democrat hacks, pay them exorbitant salaries and bonuses, allow them to make contributions to their supposed overseers in government, and expect them to operate on an efficient basis. What we got was a recession.

Back in 1999 Franklin D, Raines, Fannie Mae‘s Chairman and chief executive officer told us, "Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 199O’s by reducing down payment requirements. Yet, there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying sufficientiy higher mortgage rates in the called sub prime market." Fannie then proceeded to ease credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders in order to increase home ownership rates among minorities and low income consumers. This ill conceived program led to banks and other lenders extending loans that were designed to fail. Obama and his Acorn buddies forced Banks to make loans accusing them of redlining when they weren’t lending to people because they were Black, they weren’t lending to people because they had no reasonable hope of ever making the payments.

Look at the mess our elected officials have made of Social Security. As long as we had a larger number of contributors compared to the retirees we were paying, they could plunder the "lock box" at will. The fact that a number of people were dying prior to reaching age 65 or soon thereafter made things look rosy. As usual, with all Government Programs their greed forces them to ignore sound financial practice.

How about the gas taxes they collected. These were to be used for repairs and maintenance of the roads and highways. Now they’re appalled at the condition of our infrastructure and seek more money for repairs. Where did the gas taxes go?

Look at the condition of the Veterans and benefits, or the salaries of Armed Forces Personnel and compare these with the salaries of bloated government department personnel.

They tell us that the condition of our National Parks is abysmal while they fail to tell us that if we allowed the National Parks to keep the revenue they produce, these Parks would fiourish. The just keep their hands off any revenue stream.

Medicare and Medicaid costs are out of control, not because those crooks in Washington have thier hands in the till for a change, it's because THE GOVERNMENT couldn't run a one car funeral efficiently.

If you actually think this government can run our Health Care System efficiently, you're either dumber than a rock or are certifiably insane.

In a FREE MARKET the owners of radio and television stations are only interested in programs that produce a PROFIT, Over the vears radio programs featuring conservatives Rush Limbaugh, Paul Harvey, Dr Laura and recently Sean Hannity have grown to hundreds of stations across the country because those programs produce profits for the station owners. lt's obvious that The American People want to hear these programs, primarily because they cannot find any balance in the main stream media.

When given a chance to compete for an audience, Liberal Talk Shows, like Air America, and other attempts to produce a liberal Rush Limbaugh, couidn't even succeed in the hotbeds of liberalism like New York and San Francisco, yet the Democrats continue to cry foul.

The fact that all major television networks, all of the major newspapers and all the major television channels, except Fox, dance to the tune of liberalism just isn’t enough for them, they can't afford to allow the American people to hear the Truth.

They avoid Fox News, ciaiming that Fox favors Republicans. Yet Fox News has a competitive balance of Liberal and Conservative program hosts that none of the above mentioned media outlets even come close to.

The definition of Fair to Democrats is total control of all media outlets and they’re not going to be satisfied until they come up with a way to silence Conservative Talk Radio.

Recently, they voted down an attempt to reinstate the “Fairness Doctrine" but immediately began talking about Locai ownership and balance, just another form of a fairness doctrine.

Their concept of "FAIRNESS” doesn‘t extend to Television and Major Newspapers because they own these outlets. Our “Journalism” schools haven’t turned out any signiñcant number of Conservative journalists in the last 40 years.

They can’t compete on the open market simply because the vast majority Of The American People just don't want to hear any more of their liberal, progressive and/or socialist nonsense. As a result they have to find a way to silence opposition through legislation.

Faìmess, like Bipartisanship, are one way streets as far as Democrats are concerned.

No More Government Programs

I want you to show me, if you can, ONE government run program that couldn’t be run more effectively at half the cost by the private sector.

Somewhere along the line we lost the will to take care of ourselves and the career politicians rushed to fill the void. They make more of us dependent upon them with every new program.

If you had invested the money they took from you for Social Security over the years you’d have done a hell of a lot better even if you placed it in government bonds. A number of years ago a group in the Houston Texas area somehow broke away from the Social Security System and started their own retirement program. Their monthly payments to retirees runs three to four times greater than current Social Security payments. We won’t even mention the fact that they spent the surplus when we had a lot more people paying into the system for every one receiving payments. Politicians can’t stand to see money just sitting there and earning interest when it can perpetuate their time in office. Now that the system is facing bankruptcy because of their misappropriation of our funds that want to raise our taxes or lower payments to retirees, Some Program.

They have to use the money in their Food Stamp program to advertise to get people to apply so they can use all the available funds and ask for an increase next year.

They just had to establish an unconstitutional Department of Education shortly before our education system stopped educating our children, The more money we pore into the current system the dumber our kids come out of the system.

Their War on Poverty has been about as successful as their War on Drugs. They destroyed the Black Family by paying unmarried young women more for each child they had without a male income earning member in the household, Great idea huh? If Medicare and Medicaid are an example of how our governments run medical insurance programs we shouldn’t want any part of a government managed Universal Health Care program. Both systems are a mess, blatant fraud is rampant, regulations are incomprehensible, unfair and unmanageable. I would like to see a National Health Care program managed by a private sector presented as an alternative.

The Federal Drug Administration is a mess, it shouldn’t take 15 years and $20 million plus to introduce a new drug, the system has to be streamlined. I also object to their strict limitations on the number of terminal patients they allow to participate trial programs on promising new drugs and procedures. In an associated subject, the current Regulations on Organ Donations cannot be defended with any level of common sense or logic. Walter E. William's has a great suggestion, allow individuals to permit their families to sell their organs, tax free, at the time of their death. I don’t know about you but they can have anything of mine that still works,

I’ve just scratched the surface, but you get the idea. The same crazies that point to the tapping the cell phones of terrorists and their contacts as a loss of liberty push the government to ban smoking, transfats and to declare a War On Obesity. Go Figure

Democrat Media “And The Public’s Right to Know”

I justifiably renamed the old Mainstream Media as the Elite Media and while it’s true the label doesn’t accurately reflect the actions of these Left Wing Loons.

There are no reporters any more, everyone’s a columnist. Headlines are slanted, if a story doesn’t further the Democrat, Liveral, Progressive Agenda it doesn’t get printed. When was the last time you saw, heard or read a story on a gun being used for self defense, the emotional aftermath of an abortion or something, anything positive happening in The War on Terror ?

Democrat Legislators are never seriously questioned, even their more ridiculous statements are accepted and delivered verbatim. While GOP legislators are harassed and pushed to explain every word in minute detail. They claim that Fox News promotes the republican talking points but ignore that they are the first to repeat Democrat talking points, remember “Gravitas”. They also ignore the fact that there are as many liberal hosts and guests on Fox as there are Conservative unlike their own guest/host mix. When they do include a conservative on a particular program they make sure they’re ambushed and outnumbered.

First, I was sure that there was open competition to show the public and their colleagues that they were citizens of the world rather than cheerleaders for the USA but these clowns didn’t stop there. They bristle at the mention of the word BIAS but their every action makes the charge more credible. They’re the cheer leaders for the Hate The USA club.

It’s the mind set. The really feel that the secular progressive movement is the only enlightened and sensible approach to the country’s and the world’s problems and can’t understand why the rest of us are too stupid or stubborn to recognize that “fact”.

In spite of the fact that Communism and/or Socialism has failed to do anything but subjugate the people, wherever they’ve been tried, they tell us that the next time it’s going to work. They ignore the fact that the Capitalist System has allowed this country to become a major World Power in less than 300 years.

The media and a number of Democrat Legislators point to Cuba as an example, extolling their health care and education systems while they ignore the fact that hundreds of thousands of Cuban citizens have risked life and limb in attempts to escape from that Hell Hole on makeshift rafts over the open ocean.

They actually believe that they, the current Democrat Party and the educational intelligentsia are among the enlightened elite and their ideological rants should be accepted and obeyed. They blame their dwindling subscriber base and diminishing listening and viewing audience with the explanation that we’re too stupid to understand that theirs is the path to enlightenment.
Does the public has a right to know only those items selected by this group of hypocrites or should they REPORT the news in an unbiased format?

With a little luck there will be a major revolution in the Media over the next several years and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Current Democrat Not Your Grand Parents Party!

It never ceases to amaze me when Seniors stubbornly cling to their belief that the Democrat Party is the party of the poor & middle class. The truth is that the Democrats need the poor & lower middle class to exist. They perpetuate victimhood.

Take New Orleans for example. Democrats have been in charge of that city and the state of Louisiana for decades yet the major portion of the population of New Orleans was mired in abject poverty. Without “victims” the Democrats would cease to exist. They’d have no reasons to justify their irrational thirst for more taxes. Therefore they must keep the poor and lower middle class just where they’re at in order to be relevant in the future. Isn’t it funny that Democrats in New Orleans are always able to find a bus to get people to the polls couldn’t find any to get then out of harms way?

While Democrats portray themselves as Champions of the “American People” many of their programs are based upon Communist and Socialist ideals rather than Democratic principles.

They Support “Abortion On Demand” compared to13% of Americans.

They Support Partial Birth Abortion compared to 12% of Americans.

They Support “Open Borders” compared to 22% of Americans.

They Support “Higher Taxes” compared to 28% of Americans.

They Support “Income Redistribution” compared to 20% of Americans.

They Oppose “Private Social Security Accounts” depriving the rest of us the same returns they receive from their investments.

They Oppose “School Choice” condemning the children of inner city mothers to a substandard education and a life of poverty.

They feel that we should place our military under the supervision of the United Nations rather than act unilaterally.

They’re embarrassed that we happen to be the World’s Super Power.

They complain that we represent 6% of the World’s population but use 25% of it’s resources and ignore the fact that we underwrite 25% of the United Nation’s costs and have to defend socialist nations that can’t afford to defend themselves.

They don’t have an identity, first they were Democrats, then they were Liberals, now they’re Progressives.

If they could, they’d cut and run from Iraq & Afghanistan the same way they did in Viet Nam and Somalia, disgrace and the loss of millions of innocent lives doesn’t seem to bother them.

They handcuffed our intelligence agencies and then blamed them for 9/11.

Every time the got a chance they reduced our military and increased their failed social programs.

They’re more interested in the World’s Opinion of us than doing the Right Thing
They Oppose the “Marriage between a Man and a Woman Amendment” compared to 77% of Americans.

They ‘ve raised the income tax on the Social Security Checks of Seniors.

They classify the burning of the American Flag as Freedom of Speech.

They refuse to pass English Only realizing that non-english speakers will be limited to low income jobs and remain dependent on them for existence.

The American Association of Retired Persons has morphed into a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democrat Party. Senior advocacy has taken a back seat to their profit centers and their liberal propaganda promotion.

During the 2006 elections they devoted several pages in their California editions of AARP Magazine to promote Democratic candidates regardless of how their positions may affect Seniors. I would presume editions in the balance of the country were used in the same fashion.

They’ve consistently supported Parcel Tax Propositions pushed by school unions that have had an adverse affect on house rich. cash poor seniors property tax bills. When I asked for them to justify these actions, I couldn’t get anyone from the local office to the national headquarters who wanted to justify their positions.

In 1993 when Clinton raised the income tax seniors paid on their Social Security income the AARP stayed mute.

The only time they deviated from the Democrat Party Line was was when they initially supported Bush’s Medicare Drug Program. As the program progressed they mended fences with their Democrat friends by carping about the degree of difficulty seniors had understanding which plan to choose. In spite of Democratic complaints about the program the vast majority of seniors who have participated in the program have been extremely satisfied.

Their profit centers include a Travel Agency, Health, Life, Auto, Mobile Home, Medicare Supplement and Long Term Care Insurance Programs, AARP Funds and AARP Financial, AARP Pharmacy and Medical Supplies and probably others I haven’t identified yet.

Their editorial policies are entirely liberal and the majority of people they feature tend to be liberal icons. They perpetuate the idiotic concepts that the Republicans represent Big Business while the Democrats are the Champions of the Poor and Middle Class, Corporations pay taxes and that all tax cuts are benefit the Rich in addition to the examples I pointed out previously. At this point in time Seniors need Real Advocates. A National Conservative Senior Advocacy Group is sorely needed to counter the propaganda of the AARP.

Katrina And The Aftermath

The Democrats and their “mainstream media” partners couldn't wait to blame the Bush Administration for the aftermath of Katrina but let’s take a few minutes to look at the facts.

Ten years earlier plans were introduced to upgrade the conditions of the levees in and around New Orleans. Unfortunately they were opposed by environuts who claimed these improvements would harm the habitat of native species.

The levees were controlled by a series of independent levee organizations who did little more than draw salaries and hold meetings.

Estimates that the hurricane could be at level 5 strength when it hit New Orleans were ignored by both the Mayor and Governor. Fortunately the hurricane was only at level 3 strength when it hit the area. While warnings were issued to evacuate, nothing was done to evacuate those who didn’t have the method or means to do so. Buses sat idle while the poor, elderly and infirm were carried away by the force of the hurricane and/or the flooding that followed.

Humanitarian organizations were initially denied access to those desperate for their aid while the Governor kept the Bush Administration twiddling it’s thumbs while she made up her mind what to do.

The Democrats who’ve controlled New Orleans and the State of Louisiana for generations have long “claimed” to be Champions of the Poor and downtrodden. Let’s see how well they live up to their billing.

The abject poverty, and abominable living conditions of most of those unable to evacuate became clear almost immediately. The party that can always come up with buses to take the poor to the polls stood around while the poor died in the flood waters and the aftermath of Katrina while hundreds of buses were readily available. If there were any substantive local plans for the aftermath they weren’t obvious. State and Local authorities seemed to sit around and complain that the Federal Government wasn’t there to help while the real heroes came from the citizenry.

Isn’t it strange that we heard far fewer complaints from other areas devastated by Katrina. While the Louisiana elected officials went on the air to condemn the Federal Government and continue to complain, rebuilding in the other areas is far ahead of schedule.

In short, it’s obvious that the Democrats “care” for the poor and needy is limited to luring the gullible into the party and getting them to the polls. Improving their living conditions just isn’t in the cards.

The “Fairness” Doctrine

The Democrats are introducing a bill that’s commonly called the “fairness’ doctrine. It establishes an ”independent” body to “monitor” the “media” to see that they present “both sides” of an issue. This is especially odd when you consider an organization of Journalists recently rejected a proposal that they were required to show both sides of any issue.

Since they refuse to believe that the so called “mainstream media” is made up of liberal loons, the purpose of this bill is to eliminate Conservative Talk Radio and Fox news. Although I can’t see where they could find any news organization more “Fair & Balanced” than Fox. Fox has more liberal/conservative balance than any other network, both in their anchors as well as their pundits and guests. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NPR, MSNBC and their ilk have NO conservative anchors and when they do invite a conservative guest they ambush them with a panel of liberal crazies.

One of the proponents of the fairness doctrine was interviewed recently and openly stated that he thought that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Major Newspapers, NPR etc. were Fair and balanced. Either that nut case never watched, read or listened to these liberal loons or he’s lying. None of this collection of propagandists even makes an attempt at balance.

Let’s look at the facts, the liberals are finally faced with a handful of media organizations who refuse to parrot their party line. They tried to compete with a string of liberal “Limbaughs” it didn’t work. The public has refused to watch or listen to programs who simply mirror the old media. Then they came up with Air America that had the same play book but were even more shrill. They lost their shirts, They just can’t compete on the commercial airways so they’re trying to “fix” their problem with their example or “fairness”.

Stations that carry Conservative programming aren’t being benevolent, they do so because it’s “PROFITABLE”. If liberal programs could generate significant audiences the same stations would carry them, they’re equal opportunity capitalists.

While the number of listeners, viewers and readers of liberal media is dropping like a bag of rocks, the audiences while the media carrying conservative content is growing like gangbusters. I can understand why Liberals, Democrats, Secular Progressives and their cohorts are in such a state of panic.

I have a suggestion for their fairness doctrine, let’s apply it to the old media and sit back and watch the fireworks.

California Style Politics

I have voted in every election, local, state and national for the past 50 some odd years. I register immediately when I move to a new state or community. So imagine my surprise when I showed up at my polling place for the recent primary election and was told that I wasn’t registered. They advised me to fill out a “Provisional Ballot” and they’d straighten out the problem down the road, whenever that may be.

I filled out and deposited my provisional ballot and on my way out found a few other people who ran into the same problem. I’m sure the fact that we were all Republicans had nothing to do with the confusion.

When I read my Provisional Voter Receipt it listed 3 reasons why my name might not be on the rolls:

If I had moved and did not re-register to vote. Records indicated that I requested an absentee ballot. If I was a first time voter and was unable to provide proof of identification.

Since none of these applied to me I called the phone number on the receipt, explained the problem and was advised that a new law had been passed requiring registered voters to provide their drivers license numbers. They claimed to have sent me a letter requiring this information and I had not replied, thus I was removed from the rolls. I never received their letter.

It’s funny that my wife hadn’t received this notification yet was still on the “official roster of voters at this precinct” and was allowed to vote.

Since then I have talked to over 100 California Registered Voters and not 1 knew of this supposed law, had received a request for their drivers license number and all were still listed on the “official roster” and cast their vote without any problem.
Now, I realize that I have been continuously critical of the Radical Liberal Wing of the Democrat Party that rules the State of California but I think this is going a little too far.

I’ve asked for a copy of this new law and thus far haven’t received a response.
I’ve been told that this was just a “glitch” in the system and should have no problem in the future.

I’ll keep you posted.

Selective Outrage

I’m always surprised at the feigned outrage of the radical left, pompous members of Congress and the sympathetic reception they receive from their toadies in the elite media.

Qualified Journalists?

Some time ago the White House provided credentials to a conservative blogger and the Press Corps screamed foul. They claimed he wasn’t “qualified” to be a member of the Press Corps or any part of the Elite Media. Since then I’ve been trying to pin down just what it takes to be a “qualified Journalist” and I think I’ve compiled the qualifying elements.

You must be a dedicated Secular Progressive/Humanist.

You must believe that national sovereignty is outdated.

You must believe that the United Nations should be the sole international governing body.

You must be a card carrying ACLU member.

You’re sure that the Constitution provides Freedom from, not of Religion.

Who, What, Where, Why and When are less important than, does it support our agenda?

You actually believe that your personal sphere of influence represents The “American People.”

You’ve accepted the “fact” that those hicks in fly over country are just too dumb to realize that God, The Flag, Patriotism, Family and Schools that actually teach our children are outdated.

You reject the idea that you owe any loyalty to the U.S.A. and claim to be representatives of the World’s Media. Your ilk changes labels like the rest of us change shirts. You started out as Democrats became Liberals, morphed into Progressives and wound up as Secular Progressives/Humanists.

You ignore stories regardless of their importance, in favor of those that support your agenda.
You’ve abolished the positions of Reporter, editor,headline writer, etc. and made everyone a columnist.

In short, you’ve rewritten the rules of Journalistic Standards to fit your “progressive agenda”, and are only beginning to suffer the consequences. You no longer control the distribution of the news and are too stubborn or too stupid to realize that “ the worm has turned”. Keep up the “good work”, it’ll get worse.

The "Mainstream" Media is an Outdated Myth

Tell me why people still refer to the Elite Media as Mainstream.

The prominent newspapers in our major cities and the national radio and television networks have been thought to reflect the ideals and values of Mainstream America, unfortunately nothing could be further from the truth.

Most of us operate in and associate with those within our personal sphere of influence and come to believe that “WE” think, believe and value to be common to most Americans, or in the “MAINSTREAM”.

People who control, manage and work in the major media centers have come to think of themselves as enlightened. They believe in the New World Order, and resent the fact that the United States is the major force in the world. In spite of the fact that Socialism, Communism or whatever you may call cradle to grave big government control has never worked, they can’t understand why the rest of us oppose their efforts to Europeanize us.

They bemoan the fact that their numerous attempts to find a Liberal Limbaugh have been dismal failures. They refuse to accept the fact that it’s not their messenger, but their message, we’re not buying. Think about it, Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura, Sean Hannity and Paul Harvey, among others, don’t have to be subsidized from the public trough. Mainstream American listens, watches and reads these people simply because they represent our feelings, hopes, dreams and ideals.

They reject Constitutional judicial candidates as being out of the Mainstream, in favor of social engineers who try to tell us that our Constitution is a “Living Document”, meaning that it evolves to judge the latest liberal fads as not just acceptable but Constitutional.

They tell us that Mainstream America supports Roe v Wade’s concept of abortion on demand, yet every survey tells us that only about 13% of the general population support this idea.

Their circulation and audience numbers are in a free fall and they grope for answers. The fact that most of us have come to realize that they pick and choose the news stories according to their preconceived liberal agenda doesn’t even enter their minds. When was the last time you read, seen or heard a pro second amendment story covered? They deny their obvious liberal bias while they content of their programs and news coverage bears witness to that fact.

Trent Lott makes a complimentary remark at the birthday party of an aged colleague and they blow it out of proportion, hounding Lott while they barely mention the fact that Sandy Berger stole top secret documents from the archives by stuffing them in his socks and down his pants.
They tell us that their polls show the President’s approval figures are dropping because of conditions in Iraq. Isn’t it odd that their audience has formed these opinions as a result of the information these “NEWS” outlets are beating them over the head with day after day. We receive bomb by bomb and casualty reports daily but rarely hear about any of the positive things that are happening in Afghanistan and Iraq. Our service men and women on rotation can’t believe the stories they find in their hometown newspapers and other media outlets. One wounded Marine told a reporter that he’d believe the worst too, if all he had to go by was the stateside reports of the conditions in Iraq by the U.S. “NEWS” media.

They shake their heads in wonder and claim the Fox News bases their programs on the daily Republican talking points. Yet Fox has a more balanced presentation than any other cable or network news outlet. They have as many liberal panelists and anchors as they have conservatives compared to the lone they point to as balance, token conservative.

They ridicule statements of fact by Republicans and blindly accept lies and half-truths by liberal Democrats. They KNOW every marginal rate tax cut since JFK has INCREASED FEDERAL TAX REVENUE yet they continue to blame Bush’s tax cuts for any “reduction in the growth” of a pet program.

Mainstream America is rejecting their phony claims of objectivity and balanced reporting. We’d have more respect for them if they admitted that they’ve become a wholly owned subsidiary of the “progressive” wing of the Democrat Party.
