I’ve now coached a statistically significant sample size of over 3,000 traders. And I’ve worked with enough traders to find reliable patterns based on what gets results and what doesn’t.

One of the most common reasons that traders fail has nothing to do with their ability to read the market or manage a position.

Instead, the biggest downfall for many traders is their impatience. A good trader isn’t defined by their ability to spot great trades.

Instead, it’s by their ability to avoid bad trades. This is where trading and playing Texas hold ‘em poker are very similar to one another…

Keeping Your Head in the Game

You see, a game of Texas hold ‘em will see a total of seven cards dealt in three stages…

First, each player will get two cards, and won’t reveal them to their opponents. Next, the dealer will lay three more cards facing up. This sequence is known as the flop, and are communal cards.

After the flop comes a fourth communal card, the turn. Finally, there’s the fifth and final communal card, the river.

Between each stage that the cards are handed out, a round of betting takes place. This is where players will jockey for position and try to force their opponents to fold their hand by raising the stakes.

If a player bets the required amount to stay in the game, then they get to see the next community cards that the dealer will pull from the deck.

But here’s where trading and poker are very similar...

The company projects 257% YOY ARR growth by the end of 2023 and ~200% YOY revenue increase in the same period.

From EOY 2021 through August 2022, Lano has a 170% NDR and an average dollar churn rate of 1% from January 2021 through August 2022.

Lano is also leveraging a key partnership with Rapyd to provide payment capabilities while enabling remote workers to open a virtual account and get paid faster, without the hassle of complex transactions or expensive FX conversions. The two companies plan on offering a white-label credit card and other services in the near future.

The Round
OurCrowd is investing up to $2M to co-lead this €10M Series A round with participation from existing investors Atlantic Lab and Spark Capital. Tomahawk is a previous investor in the company.

IonQ acquires assets of Entangled Networks

Quantum computing pioneer IonQ (NYSE: IONQ), announced its acquisition of the operating assets of our portfolio company Entangled Networks, which focuses on enabling computation across multiple distributed quantum processors. Surviving the dreaded down round

Spanish FinTech platform Divilo will be using the AI-powered transaction monitoring systems from our portfolio company ThetaRay to boost its fraud protection, FinTech Global reports. Divilo supplies SMBs with financial products, including cards, transfers and mobile-managed payments, so it needs to keep these services free of money laundering, sanctions violations and other financial crimes. "Using ThetaRay's AML solution, we will be able to grow our network of relationships and increase business internationally with the assurance that next-generation AI detection will provide enhanced coverage and highly accurate alerts to allow businesses to focus on what really matters," says Juan Guruceta, Founder and CEO of Divilo.

Remitly completes acquisition of Rewire

Level Up teaches them about earning, spending, saving, credit management and taxes, using challenges and awards presented throughout the game. Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) Center for Health Care Innovation successfully deployed DreaMed Diabetes' endo.digital clinical decision support system in the electronic medical records workflow at Northeast Medical Group, YNHHS' not-for-profit, multispecialty medical foundation. This marks the first time in the industry that a diabetes clinical decision support system has been deployed as an integrated component of patients' records, allowing all providers in the patients' care continuum to provide expert-level diabetes care.
