The Pass is the highest point in history, known from the Middle Ages. Previous pilgrims traveling from England and France to Italy called the pass "Via Francigena"

The pass is known primarily from the Napoleonic army's march in 1800. There is a monastery founded in 1050 by St. Bernard of Menthon.

Dog names came from the name of the crossing. For a small fee you can take dogs for a walk. (only in the summer the dogs are on the monastery grounds).

France: Mountain de Sous Dine

The Montagne de Sous-Dine constitutes a pleasant hike in the heart of the Bornes Massif. At the top of the mountain is a beautiful panorama of many alpine peaks. Unfortunately, we were not able to see it, too much cloudy :(
The route is not demanding. It lasts 2.3 hours and the total length of both directions is 11 km.
There are few tourists on the trail and at the top. If someone likes the peace and quiet here it will surely be.

Small Town in France. It is 30 minutes away from Geneva. It is considered a French Venetian. Annecy has a picturesque old town in pastel colors. The city is famous for its lake which is one of the cleanest in Europe. Surely it will come back here!

Near Lutry town there is a riviera with vineyards. Place with designated tourist trails. Le Chateau de Bertholo gives a unique vineyard character. Beautiful view of the lake, vineyards and mountains.

Climbing the trail we started at 4 am, from Haut-de-Caux. The route takes about 3.5 hours (depending on fitness). Many scenic spots with beautiful landscapes. On the route you can meet chamois, salamanders, and at the top - marmots.
At Rochers de Naye You can get a train, You can also stay in a Mongolian bungalow.
