Enable Task Manager When Disabled By Virus or Administrator

This post will help you to re-enable Task Manager, if your system facing task manager disabled problem. Task manager is used to view currently running programs and also used to terminate that programs. Some trojan virus cannot detected by antivirus even if it is updated. Most of the viruses will affect first on Task Manager for protecting themselves and speeding up their infections. Before proceeding this trick, run a complete scan with up-to-date antivirus. After scan, press Ctrl + Alt + Del then an error message appearing like this,

If your system have the above problems, do the following steps,

Go to Start > Run. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, go to Search
Type "regedit" (without quotes) and hit enter to open Registry Editor.
Navigate to, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Delete DWORD Value "DisableTaskMgr".

Restart your system, if Task Manager still disabled. You can also use another tricks for enabling Task Manager like,

Using Group Policy Editor (Gpedit.msc).
Using Command Prompt.
Enable Task Manager by creating Registry Key using text editor.

Create Keyboard Shortcut For Any Program

Do you want to access your favorite programs faster? Then you might like this trick. Most of the software and Operating Systems have built-in Keyboard-Shortcuts for accessing its functions faster than regular method. For example, we use Alt + Ctrl + Del for opening Task Manager. It is simple and faster method. So we are gonna make a custom keyboard shortcut for our favorite programs. Do the following steps,

Right click on your favorite program's shortcut.
Take Properties
Click on Shortcut Key field from Shortcut tab.
Press any key from keyboard that you want to use as Shortcut.
Just note your shortcut key from Shortcut Key field.
Click OK to save your settings.

Now you can use your shortcut key to open your favorite program. It will save your time.

Note:

We can't use some of the keys like Ctrl, Alt, Tab, Shift, Enter etc.
To remove shortcut key do the above 1, 2, 3 step and press Del. After then click OK

Increase Virtual Memory for Better Performance

Do you want higher performance form you system, then dont waste time. Just Increase Virtual memory of your system. It will boost performance of your system. Your computer will create a file for virtual memory on hard drive, called paging file. If your RAM's memory use up by OS and some other applications, your computer will copies data from RAM to paging file. Increasing virtual memory will also increase size of paging file. Then RAM can store more data to paging file. Virtual memory also known as simulated RAM. To increase virtual memory, follow the following steps.

Go to Start > Controll Panel and Click on Performance and Maintenance
Click on System and select Advanced tab.
Click Settings button from Performance.
Select Advanced tab and click on Change button.
Select a Drive have more free space.
Choose custome size, then Initial Size & Maximum Size fields will enable.
Now enter a memory size on Initial Size and Maximum size fields (greater than previous size).
Click Set button then click OK button.

After restarting you can run some programs which require higher RAM. Restart your computer to see the difference.

Note:

For better performance set same size on Initial Size & Maximum Size fields.
Your system will got crashed if you set lower memory size.

You can disable error reporting service if you do not want to see error message again or not want to send error report to Microsoft. This service is better to disable when you don't have an internet connection. Follow the following steps to disable error reporting service,

1. Go to Controll Panel > System
or Controll Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System

2. Select Advanced tab from System Properties

3. Click Error Reporting button

4. Select Disable Error Reporting option

Note: You will not see any type of error message if you uncheck "Notify Me When Critical Errors Occur" option.

Securely Hide File or Folder Using Command Prompt

If you have a folder named "bestsongs" on drive D and you want to hide it. Follow the following simple steps.

1. Start > Run > and type “cmd” to open Command Prompt (without quotes).

2. Type "attrib +s +h D:\bestsongs" on command prompt and hit enter (without quotes).

Now the folder "bestsongs" will be hidden. To unhide that folder, type the following code on Command Prompt and hit enter.

attrib -s -h D:\bestsongs

Now you can view the folder "bestsongs". When a folder is hidden using this methode, no one can't find that folder using Search method. Show Hidden System Files and Folders to view those files.

1. Open My Computer or any other window.

2. Go to Tools > Folder Options and click on View tab.

3. Mark "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and uncheck "Hide Protected Operating System Files"
from View Tab.

4. Click OK

Now you can view all hidden files or folders in your PC.
Note: Most of these files are System Files. Don't make any changes to those files or folders, it will affect your system.

You can disable the Windows Xp Boot Screen; which will speed up the overall boot process.

Note: If you remove the Boot Screen, you will not see any boot messages, such as check disk.

Do the following simple steps to disable Windows Xp Boot Screen.

1. Start > Run > and type “msconfig” to open System Configuration Utility (without quotes).

2. Click the BOOT.INI tab.

3. Go down to Boot Options and tick /NOGUIBOOT check box.

4. Click OK to save and close the System Configuration Utility.

5. Now restart your computer.

The Windows Xp boot screen will be gone. It can be re-enabled by un-ticking /NOGUIBOOT check box from the System Configuration Utility. Try this trick now......

There are many tricks to disable pen drive access. But this is a secret trick to disable pen drive access. Do the following steps.

Important Note: Editing the registry may damage your system, please make a backup from your registry.

1. Click Start > Run > and type “regedit” to run Registry Editor (without quotes).

2. Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor

3. In the right pane, double click on the Start.

4. Change the value data to 4 to disable pen drive access.

Now your pen drive access is disabled. To re-enable the pen drive access, change back the value data for Start to its original default of 3. Try this trick now……………

Normally we cannot rename Recycle Bin. Follow these simple steps and change the name of your Recycle Bin.

Important Note: Editing the registry may damage your system, please make a backup from your registry.

1. First, Click Start > Run > and type “regedit” to run Registry Editor (without quotes).

2. Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

3. In the right pane, double click on the Default and type name you want for Your Recycle Bin and click OK.

4. Go to Your Desktop and Refresh the Desktop.

Now see the magic. Your Recycle Bin has been renamed. Try this trick now……..

3. In the right pane, double click on the LegalNoticeCaption and type a message and click OK. This message will be displayed in Title bar.

5. Restart your computer..

The message will appear every time you logon.. Try this trick now……..

Use Notepad As Your Personal Diary

You can make notepad as your personal diary using this trick. This is a hidden feature in notepad. Do the following steps..

1. Start->Programs-> Accessories->Notepad to Open Notepad .

2. Then type “.LOG” in notepad(without quotes).

3. Now save the notepad file and close notepad.

4. Open the notepad file then you will find that the current date and time has been

appended at the next line.

5. Now type your notes and save and close the file.

Each time you open the file, Notepad appends the date and time to the end of the file. Try this simple trick now………

This trick will help you to access internet without using a browser. You can access internet using Calculator. So you can browse internet using Calculator when your browser is messed up for some unexplainable reason. Do the following tricks to browse with calculator.

1. Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Calculator to open Calculator.

2. Help-> Help Topics to open Help topics of Calculator.

3. Click the top-left corner the help window.

4. Click ‘Jump to URL’.

5. Type your address into the available field, Address must be start with http:// and not just www.
