Note: Please look for similar tabs and options while performing the tasks.

Probably the most effective ways in which you can make your phone work faster is through these tasks:

1. Disabling the transition animation of an android smartphone
2. Clear cached app data
3. Cleaning Task Manager at every set interval
4. Wiping off Cache Partition

Now, let us learn how each of the tasks can be performed to achieve the maximum performance from your phone. I have used Samsung Note 4 to perform these tasks. However, it can be done on any android smartphone.

1. DISABLING THE TRANSITION ANIMATION OF AN ANDROID SMART PHONE

Pre-Process Arrangement for disabling the transition animation
You need to enable the Developer Option on your Android Smart Phone for this. This is done by:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on About Phone tab.
3. Scroll down to the System information.
4. Look for Build Number.5. Tap on Build Number seven times.
5. A message will pop up saying “You are now a developer”. This message will be shown on smartphones running Android versions Ice Cream Sandwich 4, Jelly Bean 4.1/4.2 and Lollipop 5/5.1 only.

Steps for disabling the transition animation

Tap on Developer Option
Locate Animation Scale
Set the scale to 0.5x for:

a) Window Animation Scale
b) Transition Animation Scale
c) Animation Duration Scale

OR

Turn off Animation for better performance.

2. CLEAR CACHED APP DATA

Download CCleaner, DU Speed Booster Cache Cleaner or any other cache cleaning apps for smartphones.
Run the app to clean all cached app data.

Note: While cleaning cached app data, do not delete any images which are associated with messenger apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

3. CLEANING TASK MANGER AT EVERY SET INTERVAL

Click the Multitasking soft button on the handset.
Clean all the running apps.

Note: This does not only help your battery last longer but also helps your phone from slowing down.

4. WIPING OFF CACHE PARTITION

Go to Recovery menu of your phone.
Wipe Cache Partition.

Note: This helps to boost your phone tremendously.

Lastly, never forget to restart you phone after performing any or all these tasks mentioned above to see best results on your phone.

Try any or all of these simple tricks and see the effect. The effect may not be tremendous, depending upon the smartphone that you are using, but worth noticing! Hope this helps you.

Reliance Broadband WiFi Router Configuration

Over a long duration of time, I made innumerable searches on all major search engines on how to configure wireless router for broadband connection. Nothing bore results! But then I had found a solution and chose to pen it down on my own.

Configuring your WiFi router to Reliance broadband is quite easy. However, if you call the Customer Service on 1800-3000-7777, they will deny helping you with the configuration as it is time consuming on their part. Additionally, they mention that their broadband service does not support any WiFi router to be installed with the modem.

Being technology-driven, I found the simplest way to configure the WiFi router with the modem provided by the broadband internet providers.

Reliance generally supplies modems from ZTE, Huawei or Binatone. I have tested the process with my Binatone DT-820 modem with TP-LINK WDR-4300 router gigabit.

Pre-Process arrangement for Reliance broadband WiFi configuration:

You will need to note down the LAN IP of both the WiFi and the modem.

Note: If the LAN IP of modem is same as that of the WiFi router then you need to change the LAN IP of your WiFi router. Click here to find how to change the LAN IP of you WiFi router.
If both are different, then follow the steps mentioned below to configure the router with Reliance Broadband.

Configuration of WiFi router with Reliance Broadband:

Open your router homepage mentioned on your router and login.

Select your WAN connection type as Dynamic IP.

Clone the MAC address of your computer.

RESTART both the router and the modem.
Check if the WiFi router has connected to the DNS Server. When connected, the details will be filtered and filled on their own as shown in the image below.

If not connected, wait and allow the server to connect.
You will see a screen similar to the one shown in the image below where no details are shown except for 0s.

Click on RENEW button to let the router reconnect.
Wait for 15 minutes and follow the same steps as mentioned above.
Once you are connected, open Reliance Broadband homepage.
Login with your User-ID and password.

You should be connected now!

How to change the LAN IP of your WiFi Router

You may need to change the LAN IP of your WiFi router may a times for various reasons e.g., if have modem provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and you want to customize your IP, when you want to configure your WiFi router, etc.

You can follow the simple steps mentioned here to change the LAN IP of your WiFi router:

Note the LAN IP of your WiFi router. It is always mentioned in the User Manual of the WiFi router. If you do not have it with you, then you can find out in this way:

Run CMD as Administrator (Win+X)
Type "ipconfig"
The details are shown on the CMD window as shown below:
The Default Gateway under Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi will reveal you LAN IP

Now, you are ready to change the LAP IP of your WiFi router.

Open your router homepage mentioned on your router and login.

Change the LAN IP to 192.168.1.XXX. As an example, I changed it as 192.168.0.1.

Windows 10 WIFI "Limited Connectivity" Error

Windows 10 WiFi limited Connectivity

We are often annoyed at the "Limited" connectivity status in Windows 8/8.1/10. Often our works are left incomplete or an important piece of information that we were reading is lost midway. We may disconnect and reconnect the WiFi or restart the router or may be some other tweaks in the hope that at least one might get the WiFi connectivity back. But friends, many a times its not the fault of the router or the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) but the Operating System (OS) itself.

Do not worry! You need not call your ISP for the solution for you can do it yourself. The solution is right here for you.

You can follow the steps mentioned below:-

Open WiFi manager and forget the existing WiFi profile

Run CMD as Administrator (Win+X+A)

Type "ipconfig /flushdns"

Type "netsh winsock reset"

Connect to your WiFi

And you are done! You are connected to your WiFi now. Enjoy the joys of seamless internet!

Windows 10 Audio Driver

Audio Advanced Dolby Error Message Issue In Windows 8, 8.1, 10

Laptop used: Lenovo

Windows Version: Windows 10

Audio Driver: Conexant Audio Driver

Audio Advanced Dolby Error Message Issue In Windows appears after the upgrade from native Windows 8 to 8.1 and/or 10.

The issues that were encountered after Windows 8.1 and/or 10 upgrade:

Windows prompts that the audio driver is not compatible with an error pop-up as Unable to start the Dolby audio driver. Please restart the computer or reinstall the driver if the problem persists.

This can be easily solved by following this:

Uninstall the Conexant Audio Driver (from Device Manager).
Press Win+X and go to the Device Manager.
Right click and uninstall the Audio Driver.
RESTART the system for the complete uninstall.
Re-install Conexant Audio Driver from the drivers partition (D:\Drivers\Audio) or download fresh driver from here.
Install the Dolby Advance Audio (D:\Drivers\Audio\DolbyGUI) or download fresh driver from here.

Your drivers will work perfectly now. Enjoy the music!

Update Android 5 Offline For Samsung

How to update Android 5.0 Lollipop Offline for Samsung Galaxy S4-GT-I9500

1. Create user Id and login for Sammobile.com and login

2. Download Lollipop Update for GT-I9500.zip

 Odin

 Samsung Kies

3. Set your phone to download mode and connect USB to the phone

4. Open Odin

5. The first tab shows “Pass”

6. Check only “PDA” button and uncheck all others

7. Select the “md5” file

8. Click on “Start”

9. Set the phone to reboot

10. After 10-15 minutes, the upgrade will be done

Windows 10 Scroll Issue

Touchpad Gesture Control issue in Windows 10

Laptop used: Lenovo G580

Windows Version: Windows 10

Touchpad Version: Synaptics v16

After the upgrade to Windows 10, the touchpad gestures did not work at all. Many of you may be facing the same issue after the upgrade. Having researched a lot on this, I found out that neither any portal nor OEMs have any update on it. The OEMs are yet to develop a solution and come up with their updates.

So, I thought of giving it a trial myself and voila! It worked perfectly! So, I am here to share the trick with you all.

The issues that I had encountered after Windows 10 upgrade:

1. One Finger Scroll not working

2. Touchpad scroll not working

3. Two Fingered Scroll not working

4. Issues with Internet Explorer 10 scroll bar

It was also noted that the conflict may happened as the windows drivers have been retained from the old version of Windows 8.1. As a result, the Touch or the Sound drivers may not perform as expected.

Windows have generic drivers to work. So, we do not get the proper gesture control on the touchpad which works as a PS2 mouse. Thus, the manufacturer's device drivers are vital for any driver to function properly. However, as mentioned earlier, the OEMs are yet to release the drivers as it takes time for their R&D.

Having found that Synaptics v16 Touchpad driver is the latest driver which is compatible with Windows 10. Perhaps, it is being used by most of the most manufacturers. The OEMs adjusts the Synaptics Touchpad drivers according to their needs, to work with Windows OS.

I tried to make some adjustments and tested if it worked for my own system.

The steps that were followed are mentioned below:

1. Uninstall Pointing Device Driver using Control Panel or from Device Manager, if it is retained from your previous OS. (Synaptics Touchpad, Elan Pointing device etc).

2. RESTART the system for complete uninstall.

3. Install Synaptics v16.

4. Open Registry Editor (Win+R)

5. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTPEnh

6. Create a new DWORD 32 called "UseScrollCursor" and set it with a value of "0" (Acer, Dell, Hp, Sony Vaio)

7. RESTART or Logoff.

That's all folks! Now, you should be able scroll using Gestures.

Kindly note that this was tested in Lenovo G580, where:

 The Elan Pointing Driver had to be re-installed after Step 7.

 "UseScrollCursor" was set with a value of "1".
