MRSA Bacteria loves skin with tiny openings so the bacteria can easily enter the skin and cause painful red swollen life threatening infections. If not treated you could end up with Sepsis blood infection!!!<br />

To prevent MRSA (SUPERBUG) skin infections:<br />
1. Make sure you take a bath daily and more than one bath per day if you are sweaty.<br />
2. If you have openings in the skin, wash the area, apply antibiotic ointment, and cover with a bandage. The antibiotic ointment and bandage will help prevent MRSA bacteria from entering the open area on the skin.<br />
3. If you have a pus pimple already forming clean around the puss pimple with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide and let dry a few minutes. Next gently squeeze the pus out. Then, clean the area with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, apply antibiotic ointment and bandage.<br />
4. Dispose of all cleaning materials into a separate bag. Wash hands to the happy birthday song.<br />
5. Hibiclens is an excellent product to use to clean around skin infections and I highly recommend Hibiclens.<br />
6. If the skin infection is large and painful go see a Doctor immediately!!! The doctor will drain the pus lesion and prescribe antibiotics such as Cipro and/or Bactrum.<br />
7. Keep squeeky clean over the summer<br />
8. Do not have skin to skin contact with a person who has a skin infection unless their skin infection is covered adequately. <br />
9. Be sure to dispose of all cleansing materials in separate bags.<br />
10. Make sure you disentfect bathrooms after each use if you have a skin infection.<br />
11. Make sure you wash your bed linens and clothes with hot soapy water and bleach if you have a skin infection.<br />
12. You MAY catch a MRSA (superbug) skin infection by having sex with a partner who has a skin infection with pus so have a good look at your partners skin from head to toe.<br />
13. Make sure you use a new clean fresh razor and do not share razors with anyone!<br />
14.
