Cougar Cubs, Post 1 of 3

noreply@blogger.com (Lance H) — Sun, 07 Aug 2011 21:23:00 +0000

Question: I'm posting these as separate pictures instead of a slide show, which do YOU prefer? Please leave a comment.

I have over 30 pictures to post, these are the first of 3 in the set. This is the younger female, during an encounter. There will be some of the male posted later. No permanent names yet for these little ones. Contact Cougar Mountain Zoo if you are interested in sponsoring a name.

Our menu:

Starters

Meat plate, good, picture below
Tomato soup fondue: comfort food, nicely presented. a favorite.
Foie Gras sliders: Outstanding, excellent compliments, nicely presented.

Excellent Riesling chosen by the sommelier. Need to get the name.

Second:

Beef Bourguignon: savory, gorgeously prepared.
Coq au Vin: comfort food for me, done elegantly.
Salmon with Foie Gras. Sumptuous and creamy and rich.
Heirloom tomato "BLT" salad. Also nicely executed.

After

Chocolate and strawberry sorbet: the flavors were brilliant!
Salted Carmel and MacAllen butterScotch Beignets: butterscotch made with my favorite scotch. rich and a must have
Chocolate pot de creme: variety of flavors, chocolate lovers must have.
Strawberry vacherin. Strawberries, creme Fraiche, basil meringue and fennel. Amazing

2011-06-19 Mostly White Tigers

noreply@blogger.com (Tiger) — Tue, 21 Jun 2011 03:24:00 +0000

Vitez was being particularly active on Sunday.

Its hard to see, but he was able to get all 4 feet on the large toy ball they have.

noreply@blogger.com (Tiger) — Tue, 07 Jun 2011 03:49:00 +0000

Warm sunny day. Not the best for taking tiger pictures, they are sleepy and less active.
Vitez was not to be photographed at all. Playing hide and seek around Tiger Falls.
Oh well, there WILL be other days.

noreply@blogger.com (Tiger) — Tue, 24 May 2011 03:03:00 +0000

See no...

noreply@blogger.com (Lance H) — Mon, 23 May 2011 01:31:00 +0000

See No Tiger,
Hear no Tiger,
Get NOM'ed by a Birthday Tiger!

The monkey trio was a big hit with Bagheera and Vitez.

Someone (Sasha) must know what 2 year old tigers like for their birthday.

I have posted these as individual pictures. Click on each to get a larger version.

Please do not distribute, I would like to retain copyright.

Next post will be a slide show.

Please leave a comment with your preference (separate pictures or slide show)
