Farmer Mickey

2013-08-24T18:45:00.001-04:00

(Vintage overalls and net top, converse tennis shoes, Karl lagerfeld tote gift, HM sunnies)

I was feeling quite like the urban farmer in Detroit, even found black eyed Susan's in the heart of the city to match my overalls! I counter act the farmerness of the overalls with a see thru net top and added the flaming Converse for some punk comfort. I hope everyone is enjoying these last weeks of summer! I know I am. It is so beautiful here right now! All I want to do is go to the beach tomorrow and be around sand and water. So I think I shall make this happen. Hamtramck Labor Day Festival is next weekend! Can't wait to ride the Ferris wheel and Himalayan! I love the summer time,I know it sounds cheesy but, I hope it never ends!

Noir City

2013-08-16T00:06:00.001-04:00

/zara sandals, asos shirt, thrift jean shorts
Detroit felt like a ghost town last Sunday, only exaggerated by the giant ZOMBIELAND written atop an abandoned building across the freeway. As of late Detroit has been full of people and commotion. With Transformers 4 being filmed here and our own mini Tokyo in the midst of our city, it is quite the tourist attraction! Movie stars and movie sets! Detroit needs this, it's a party for everyone! I've always loved drowning in huge t-shirts. I'm in love with the simple black and white, and the noir written on it. I added the red fringe Zara sandals to add some flash. I'm really loving red lips, red shoes and red nails now! Pop pop pop!!!

Sheer Heart Attack

2013-08-02T15:39:00.000-04:00

Dress thrift, shoes ASOS, necklace thrift

This is my absolute favorite dress I have ever found thrift shopping.

For $8 it was a little pricey for my taste at a thrift store, but it fit like a glove so I couldn't resist.

The lattice cut outs are so amazing. The sheer flowy fabric give it that sexy 70's vibe I always love.

I feel like Jerry Hall when I wear this dress.

You can also dress it down with over the knee socks and flat shoes or boots as well.

I've worn it that way too.

Ad a belt and over the knee boots for a Anita Pallenberg feel!

Comfortable and sexy.

So many different looks from one beautiful dress.

These little heels I've had for a couple years now. They are the perfect wear all day shoe. They are the perfect heel to make any outfit look great. The tan leather and mirrored heel ad the perfect relaxed, yet put together effect to your look.

La Dolce Vita heels, Sparkle and Fade skirt, white tee Nordstom, vintage jewelry

I can't get enough of white tees lately. In the hot hot heat they are what I gravitate towards as of late. I really really love my Elka heels by La Dolce Vita! When I spotted the acid yellow leather and the rose gold heels I just had to have them! I found them on 6pm, a website that sells shoes for super good deals and basically rules. I have been so happy lately, I feel so good about going back to school. Having a goal is so good for me. Welp see you all very soon!

Celestial Horsey

ASOS Hearts and Bows skirt, F21 t shirt, Dolcetta harness boot, vintage over shirt

Well, there have been little spurts of spring weather here and there.

On one of these spurts, mr, Tom and I went for a ride all through the streets of Detroit.

What did we notice...

Man, Detroit is getting covered in graffiti art.

I don't mind though, I like it.

I like the gritty feel of it, and always wonder how they get up in those weird places.

Seriously, how do they do it?

On to what I've been wearing...

I have been wanting clothing with celestial space skies for quite some time.

I finally found it in this perfect little swingy skirt.

To make it even better, it has celestial horseys flying through the celestial skies!

Bonus!!!

Paired it with a my fave old army lookin cut off sleeve top and I'm good to go!

Hopefully one of these days I will go back, fingers crossed.

I love this cropped little burgundy jacket, perfect for the spring time.

Nice to be able to wear something besides the faux furs....

Although, it is snowing as we speak.

Look of the week

2012-10-09T11:14:00.000-04:00

I'm usually not into the floral on floral on much of anything, but this girl did it good.

It's not the typical floral pattern and the black background makes it much more me.

I also love the pops of light pink. Yes it's cheezy but I'm a sucker for certain pinks.

Look at those sunnies! Look at those shoes!

This look is it!

I love anything clear Lucite, so when I saw these I had to have them.

When I put them on I fell in love but realized these babies were

outfit- dress- Hippi London(ASOS), shoes- Jeffrey Campbells, shirt shorts and jewelry thrift

I'm a sucker for chambray. Especially vintage and especially if it has colorful stitching.

this one has a palm tree and parrot on it!

Deep down I guess I just love one of a kind vintage pieces the most.

I love finding a gem and knowing that no one else is going to have the same thing.

I forgot about these Jeffrey Campbells I got a couple of years ago, on sale on the Urban Outfitters website. I think I got them for 20$ or so, such a steal!

On another note I'm going to go see Jesus and Mary Chain on Saturday!

Don't be too jelly, but it's gonna be awesome!

I may be going a little overboard with the whole jean thing. Oh well.

Loving the exaggerated cut off shoulder look too, Ala Isabel Marant, or as I like to think the 70's teens run amuck look. My friend tells me I look like Carly Simon.

Jean on jean on jean!

Canadian tuxedo LOL!

You'll see what I'm talking about soon.

On another note, check out these beatious pics.

Detroit looks rather pretty from atop this hill.

Kinda reminds me of the Wizard of Oz, we saw a rainbow too!
