Menginstal SDK Android Secara Offline

Catatan: Langkah 1 dan 2 dapat anda dilewati bila sudah menginstall Eclipse atau Netbeans. Nama file dapat Berubah sesuai dengan versi masing-masing. Saya mencantumkan nama file untuk memudahkan anda yang menjalankan instalasi dari CD/flash disk.

Langkah Instalasi SDK Android Offline :

Instal Java SDK, Nama file akan seperti "jdk-6u21-windows-i586.exe". Nama 6u21 dapat berbeda sesuai dengan versi JDK.
Instal Eclipse, Nama filenya "eclipse-java-helios-SR1-win32.zip". Untuk yang ini tidak perlu diinstall, anda cukup mengekstrak ke direktori yang diinginkan. Jalankan untuk memastikan Eclipse sudah bekerja.
Install SDK Android, Nama filenya "installer_r09-windows.exe".
Ditahap ini kita harus menginstall Android platform via SDK Manager melalui internet. Hal ini dikarenakan pesatnya perkembangan Android, tetapi akan menjadi sulit jika koneksi internet anda terbatas. Kalau anda memiliki koneksi internet cepat dan unlimited, akan lebih babaik menginstall Android platform tersebut melalui internet dan loncat ke langkah 10.
Langkah selanjutnya membuka struktur Repo Android dengan Mozila Firefox (kalau menggunakan Chrome tidak akan terlihat struktur XML-nya). Cari dengan ctrl-f kata "<sdk:platform>". Kita disediakan beberapa versi platform karena Android yang beredar terdiri dari berbagai versi, antara versi baru dengan yang lama tidak kompatibel). Lihat isi tag "<sdk:url>". Misalnya yang anda miliki versi 2.2 untuk windows, maka anda ambil isi <sdk:url>android-2.2_r02-windows.zip</sdk:url> kemudian anda tambahkan setelah "http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/" Sehingga URL-nya menjadi : http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/android-2.2_r02-windows.zip (Download file tersebut). Langkah 5 dan 6 dapat anda ulangi untuk versi platform yang lain.
Dari hasil Download langkah 5 tadi, kemudian anda Ekstrak file tersebut ke direktori C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\platforms (Ditempat anda menginstal SDK Android di langkah 3) sehingga file tersebut menempati direktori C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\platforms\android-2.2_r02-windows. Nama direktori "android-2.2_r02-windows" tersebut dapat anda rubah dengan nama yang lain.
Tahap ini anda membutuhkan direktori "platform-tools".
Copy direktori "platform-tools" ke C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\ sehingga menjadi C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools.
Jalankan ulang SDK-Manager (Start –> All Program –> Android SDK TOols –> SDK Manager). Platform 2.2 harusnya sudah otomatis muncul.
Menyiapkan Android Virtual Device (AVD). Pada panel kiri SDK manager, terdapat pilihan “Virtual Device”. Klik, kemudia lihat dibagian kanan terdapat tombol "New". Klik "new", maka akan keluar dialog. Isikan nama, target, ukuran SD-Card dst. Setelah semuanya selesai, dialog tertutup dan akan muncul AVD tersebut. Pilih AVD ini. Lalu klik "Start" dan tunggu. Proses ini cukup lama!.
Menyiapkan plugin Android untuk Eclipse, yaitu ADT (untuk mendownload scroll kebawah sedikit dibagian "Download the current ADT Plugin zip file"). Nama filenya akan seperti "ADT_9.0.0.zip". Jalankan Eclipse. Pilih Help –> Install New Software. Klik “Add” lalu "Archive". Pilih ADT_9.0.0.zip beri nama "Android Plugin" dan ikuti petunjuk selanjutnya.
Masuk ke menu Window -> Preferences, pada menu Android isi "SDK Location" dimana Android SDK terinstall. Misalkan C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows. Lalu pilih Apply, OK.
Masih dalam Eclipse, Coba test dengan mem buat app Android seferhana. Klik File -> New -> Other (atau ctrln-N) Pilih "Android Project" dibagian Android. Isi project name, pilih target, isi application name, isi package name (misalnya antu.ak.id), isi Activity dengan "Utama". Lalu finish.
Jalankan project tersebut dengan tombol play (ctrl-F11). Pilih Android Application. Tunggu AVD muncul dan loading (untuk menghemat waktu, usahakan AVD tidak ditutup selama Eclipse masih terbuka). Jika program Anda tidak muncul klik "menu" pada AVD.
Finish.

Creating and Using Databases in Android

Database support is the lifeline of every application, big or small. Unless your application deals only with simple data, you need a database system to store your structured data. Android uses the SQLite database system, which is an open-source, stand-alone SQL database, widely used by many popular applications. For example, Mozilla Firefox uses SQLite to store configuration data and iPhone also uses SQLite for database storage.

In Android, the database that you create for an application is only accessible to itself; other applications will not be able to access it. Once created, the SQLite database is stored in the /data/data/<package_name>/databases folder of an Android device. In this article, you will learn how to create and use a SQLite database in Android.

SQLite Database

Create an Android project using Eclipse and name it Database (see Figure 1).

Creating the DBAdapter Helper Class

A good practice for dealing with databases is to create a helper class to encapsulate all the complexities of accessing the database so that it's transparent to the calling code. So, create a helper class called DBAdapter that creates, opens, closes, and uses a SQLite database.

First, add a DBAdapter.java file to the src/<package_name> folder (in this case it is src/net.learn2develop.Database).

In the DBAdapter.java file, import all the various namespaces that you will need:

The DATABASE_CREATE constant contains the SQL statement for creating the titles table within the books database.

Within the DBAdapter class, you extend the SQLiteOpenHelper class—an Android helper class for database creation and versioning management. In particular, you override the onCreate() and onUpgrade() methods (as shown in Listing 2).

The onCreate() method creates a new database if the required database is not present. The onUpgrade() method is called when the database needs to be upgraded. This is achieved by checking the value defined in the DATABASE_VERSION constant. For this implementation of the onUpgrade() method, you will simply drop the table and create the table again.

You can now define the various methods for opening and closing the database, as well as the methods for adding/editing/deleting rows in the table (see Listing 3).

Notice that Android uses the Cursor class as a return value for queries. Think of the Cursor as a pointer to the result set from a database query. Using Cursor allows Android to more efficiently manage rows and columns as and when needed. You use a ContentValues object to store key/value pairs. Its put() method allows you to insert keys with values of different data types.

The insertTitle() method returns the ID of the inserted row. If an error occurs during the adding, it returns -1.

If you examine the file system of the Android device/emulator, you can observe that the books database is created under the databases folder (see Figure 3).

Retrieving All the Titles

To retrieve all the titles in the titles table, use the DBAdapter class' getAllTitles() method (see Listing 5).

The result is returned as a Cursor object. To display all the titles, you first need to call the Cursor object's moveToFirst() method. If it succeeds (which means there is at least one row available), display the details of the title using the DisplayTitle() method (defined below). To move to the next title, call the Cursor object's moveToNext() method:

Retrieving a Single Title

To retrieve a single title using its ID, call the getTitle() method of the DBAdapter class with the ID of the title:

To update a particular title, call DBAdapter's updateTitle() method by passing the ID of the title you want to update as well as the values of the new fields (Listing 6).

A message is displayed to indicate if the update is successful. At the same time, you retrieve the title that you have just updated to verify that the update is indeed correct.

To delete a title, use the deleteTitle() method in the DBAdapter class by passing the ID of the title you want to delete:

Easy Database Access

Using the DBAdapter class pattern defined in this article, you can easily access database records for your own Android applications. One important thing to note is that all SQLite databases created in Android are visible only to the application that created it. If you need to share common data, you need to use a content provider, a topic that will be covered in a future article.

Android smartphones are assumed to have been connected to the Internet or network. This connection can be shaped Wifi or Edge / HDSPA.

Android provides the facility to communicate internet applications ranging from high level such as a web browser to the raw socket. Library is also provided for the protocols HTTP, HTTPS, XMPP, TCP / IP and SMTP.

Some things to consider when creating applications that access the network:

Langkah-langkah untuk Install Netegate Data Backup :

Pastinya Download Netgate Data Backup v2.0 kalo belum punya.
Jalankan setup Netgate Data Backup.
Setelah selesai tutup aplikasinya.
Selanjutnya copy Keygen-nya ke dalam folder instalasi, yang secara default terletak pada Drive C://Program files.
Jalankan Keygen yang baru saja di copy ke C://Program files tersebut.
Pilih Generate
Setelah kodenya muncul, copy dan Paste serial tersebut kedalam aplikasi Netegate data backup.
Selesai.
