Hello Loves!

Oh my Gosh! its been a long time since I last added a new post! I haven't forgotten about you at all, things in my life had been so busy for me lately that I havent had the time out to sit down and create a new post. But here I am and I'm glad to be sharing with you once again =]

I just had a birthday a few days ago (July 30th and I turned the lovely 23) and one of the things that that I got for my birthday was a nail art set from sephora (click here to view nail art set). Something I always wanted to do was to attempt to make a Hello Kitty mani! I think that It turned out pretty ok!

The colors that I used were:

French mani - O.P.I Pink Friday (my staple nail polish)

French mani underline - Julep Oscar

Hello Kitty face - Essie Blanc

Bow - Essie Lollypop

Nose - sally hansen mellow yellow

Outline - Essie licorice

Simple Solutions: restoring your broken powder makeup

Hey loves!

Ahhhh! Dont you just HATE it when you drop your favorite eyeshadow or powder makeup and afterwards you just dont feel like using it anymore?!

You can easily restore your favorite make up just by using a few items that you most likely have laying around in your home

All you need is

- 70-90% isopropyl alcohol

- a piece of cloth

- a plastic spoon

- a butter knife (not shown)

1. Take your spoon and crush your make up until it turns into a fine powder

2. Add a small amount of alcohol into your makeup, not too much or your makeup will get to liquid-y, stir until it form into a paste like substance

3. use your spoon or a butter knife and smooth until the makeup is even on the pan

4. Place your cloth over your make up and using your fingers gently press the make up. For my foundation I used the bottom of my lotion bottle. The cloth will absorb the alcohol making it faster for the make up to dry

5. Let your make up dry

And now that destroyed make up you had looks like new again!!

Mani of the week (MOTW) & a little update on my life

Hey loves! I been on a almost 3 week hiatus but I'm back! so much had been going on that I've been slacking on this blog =[

My MOTW is a summer neon leopard print that I've been loving so much. It was surprising very easy-to-do all you do is make random dots on the nail bed and with a nail brush, take your black nail polish and make C's and parenthesis on the nail. The colors I used was Sinful colors innocent (neon lime) and sally hansen the sky is the limit (sky blue)

Now If you follow me on instagram, facebook or twitter you may have know that I announced that i cut my hair! yes I cut my hair! The reason I decided/have to get a cut was because when I recently dyed my hair auburn, it damaged my hair =[ and I also wanted a change for myself. So far I'm loving it so much! I have those days when I get frustrated when I'm trying to style it and it won't work out for me but overall I love the cut on me

Another thing that I announced was that I have a dog! His name is Rocky hes a beagle mixed and I adopted him a week ago. I went to so many pet stores in Tampa and online searching for a puppy until something told me to just go to the humane society and find one. When I first saw him he was very shy and reserved but once I took him home he warmed up and been loving the place and my family ever since.

Simple Chic Nails: Gold Glitter Ombre Nails

I wanted to do something that wasn't to drastic and that can look good on anything.

My summer must haves / whats been going on!

Long time no speak! These past 2 weeks has been the most busiest for me yet but I will share with you whats been going on with me but for now I want to share with you my must haves for summer! Bright nail colors!

Summer is all about bright colors and fun so you have to have a fun bright mani to match with that

Clear, clean, bright moisturized skin

(Neutrogena naturals purifying pore scrub, Lush imperialis moisturizer, Lush dark angels coarse facial scrub)

Well this isnt a "summer tradition" for me I been doing this for the longest. In the summer your going to sweat more so you have to keep that face of yours clean! In my opinion a clean clear face just makes your skin looks brighter and more healther. Oh yes, dont forget to moisturize! When your shopping for a facial clensing product make sure the ingredients are organic and have no harsh chemicals like alcohol and mineral oil. My favorite cleansing products and moistuizers are neutrogena naturals and lush products

Bronzers!

Oh how I LOVE bronzers!!!! I love the way it makes my skin glow especially when I'm in the sun. The sephora Illuminating bronzing oil is the BEST I'm not joking! I use this more than I use lotion, it keeps my skin hydrated and it brings that glow that I cant find in any product! I bought a back up I love it so much and its a limited edition, so if you can get it, its worth the $14

Makeup & primers

(from top to bottom: Urban decay naked 1 palette, maybelline 24hr color tattoo cream eyeshadow in bad to the bronze, Smashbox photo finish uva/uvb spf 15 face primer, wet & wild walking on eggshells eyeshadow)

For summer I don't like to wear foundation because how hot it gets especially here in Florida, I just use a concealer to eliminate my blemishes and dark spots. I like the smashbox primer because it controls the oil on my face and it also have uva/uvb protection. Now everyone who knows and follows me know that I love UD's naked palette, this is my holy grail of eye shadows, I use it everyday. I really like the maybelline 24hr eyeshadow b/c I dont need a primer, I just put it on my eyes and go and it last all day! Another thing I just discovered is the wet & wild trio eyeshadow palette, its very pigmented, the colors last all day and they work just as good as the M.A.C eye shadows for more than 1/2 the price

Lip Stains, butters, balms & glosses!

These are my go-to products! I love having lip gloss, butters and balms with me wherever I go. Another thing I discovered are the revlon colorstay lip butters, these will make ur lips look so pretty and also hydrates and make them soft. I LOVE lipstains! to me they're better than lipsticks because they last for hours and you can just apply your favorite lip gloss or balm on top.

Color & studded cut-off shorts!

Let me tell you that I had turned my house into a clothing factory for making these shorts!! But I LOVE them. These are just a few that I made but I love the outcome of these and not to mention the compliments I receive. These are defiantly a summer must have. Mani Monday: Bikini so Teeny Plaid Mani

Summer Ombre Nails!

e.l.f (eyes lips face) - $1

N.Y.C (new york color) kohl brow/eyeliner - $1

Urban decay 24/7 glide on pencil in perversion - $17

So I been doing make up for quite awhile and I'm always on the search for a good black eyeliner that will last on my (small little) eyes and most of all don't SMUDGE!

Gel liners and liquid liners usually last longer on me But I always have a tougher time finding a good kohl pencil that can give me the pigmentation that I want and last like a gel or a liquid

So I went into my make-up stashed and gathered 5 of the most used kohl liners I had and decided to compare them and see which one stands out the most

1. e.l.f

This didnt give me the pigmentation that I wanted but its good to throw in the makeup bag for on the go

2. N.Y.C

Even though it gives me some pigmentation I HATE how it dont glide smoothly on my skin, it feels like its tugging it

3. ULTA

I like this pencil, I dont have any issues with it

4. SEPHORA

I love sephora brand products but i HATE this pencil with a passion!!! Its too wide that it cant fit into a standard sharpener and it crumbles when I put it on and not to mention the wood sticks out. Not a good pencil and a waste of my $5

5. Urban Decay

I LOOOOVEEE this pencil!!! I actually have 2 more of these pencils in brown and a lighter black shade. Lately I been grabbing this thing more than my gel and liquid liners. Oh yeah and it glides on like silk!

Heres how the liners look after I lightly smudged them after 15 mins

So who's the winner

Urban Decay! They dont call it a 24/7 pencil for nothing!

My Ulta pencil came in 2nd place

another thing you can do to make your liners last longer is to take an angled eyeliner brush and a matte black eyshadow and gently pat the shadow on the liner after you applied it

D.I.Y studded ombre colored cut-off shorts!!!

After many comments, request and votes..its finally here my fun D.I.Y on how to have your own studded ombre colored shorts!!!

(my 1st pair of colored shorts I added pyramid studs)

Ok before I get started on this d.i.y project please add me on bloglovin (widget located on right side) pinterest (link on right side also) also repin if you like. Also comment down below!!!

So my inspiration for this actually came from when I saw Rihanna's pictures from this years cochella. I liked her spiked coved shorts and wanted some. I saw that the ragged priest click here for site designed the shorts and was selling them for $95. To me thats expensive for a pair of shorts. I saw their other shorts and liked them and I thought "I can make these myself for way cheaper".

So lets get started!!!

Im going to be using a teal and yellow dye for my 2 colors

you will need:

an old pair of jeans

1. Two different colors of fabric dye (you can find these @ an arts & crafts store)

2. Scissors, tweezers, nail clipper (optional)

3. Four teaspoons of salt for the dye, GLOVES (these are mandatory!), a bucket or medium sized container, and bleach.

4. Studs (best advice buy online. I got mines at studsandspikes.com)

1. Try on your jeans; walk around in them for a little bit so you can get a good fit

2. take a pen or marker and on the side of your leg mark where you want to cut you jeans (advice: mark your jeans to a long length before deciding how short you actually want them)

3. look in the mirror to make sure everything is correct (throws the peace sign @ you guys)

4. take a ruler and make an even line at the front and back of your jeans and cut

5. try jeans on, if you want them shorter repeat step 2 and 4. This time they should be a perfect length for you

To fray your jeans, take your tweezers and pull downward. This will take a little time to do but at the end it will be worth it. Also use your scissors to add holes :)

For these jeans I wanted to add a studded back pocket

1. turn the pants backwards and find the back pocket seam ( my jeans the seam will be located on the left pocket, right side) break the seam and unravel 3/4 of the thead

2. (optional) take a nail clipper and cut the top (the thicker thread) of the back pocket seam

3. your pocket should look like this. Use the darker color as a guide for your studding

4. cover dark colors with studs!

Use your medium sized container or sink, pour bleach and 1 cup of water and wait NO LONGER THAN 15 MINS for jeans to turn. If you wait longer the bleach will WEAKEN the fabric and your jeans will tear!!!!

WEAR YOUR GLOVES!!!! RINSE WELL. Ring access water out and place in dryer till jeans are 80% dry

WEAR A DARK COLORED SHIRT AND GLOVES BEFORE DYEING!!!!!!

1. Boil a pot of water, place in container/sink, add 4 teaspoons of salt and 1/2 packet of fabric dye.

2. place pants clip hanger on end of jeans and dip jeans in dye for 10-15 mins while stirring dye. Add remaining dye to water, dip lower portion of jeans to die for 5 mins

3. ring dye out and switch hanger position

4. repeat steps 1 - 3 for new colored dye

5. rinse well with cold water and hang to dry

And look at you girlfriend with your new jeans!!!!!

How did you guy's week/ weekend go?! Mines went pretty good, the highlight of mines was my celebration (really didn't celebrate it ) of cinco de mayo by taking patron shots lol and seeing the avengers (GREAT movie btw) with my boyfriend... yeah so pretty much didn't do anything extravagant.

Lately I've been discovering and practicing on my nail art skills, I can say that I like the results of them but I can get better

Hey loves!

Well what do know, its been one month since I started this blog! Man time does flies by!

I just want to thank everyone that have taken the time out to check my blog out and shown me their support! It really means a lot to me.

When I started this, in all honesty I was scared because I didn't think that anyone would've taken the time out to read on what I had to say (due to my first blog failure =[ )and also theres sooooo many beauty fashion and nail blogs out there so why would someone look at mines. But... I put all my doubts, fears and certain peoples thoughts aside and did what I wanted to do, and that was to create a blog of something that I love, nail polish, make-up, fashion and music... basically me!!!

I got a LONG way to go but I feel that in the long run this will blow up.

I have sooo many ideas and stuff that I want to share with you guys you don't even know lol! But one thing I DO KNOW is that I need some feedback on the things I post up and/or suggestions you would like me to do. So please leave a comment, Facebook, twitter or E-mail me.

Galaxy nail tuitorial!!

To infinity and Beyond!! <--- ok that was cheesy lol

As promised I said that I was going to post a nail tutorial, so I thought why not show you guys how to do a galaxy mani.

Believe it or not this was a very EASY to do nail art, thats fun to do and overall will make your nails look pretty and receive a lot of compliments.

Lets get started on what you will need

nail polish remover

cotton balls and swabs: for clean up

cosmetic sponge or wedge cut up: for color blending

Base coat and top coat

I use OPI natural nail strengthener

(its very good if you nails are weak or if your coming off the acrylic nails)

but for this I'm going to use the ridge filler

For the top coat I recommend seche vite.

(I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!... it gives the extra shine and dries FAST!)

colors

you don't have to get the colors I'm using, just have similar ones

midnight (dark) blue - essie midnight cami

light (neon) blue - sally hansen blue me away!

(barbie) pink - zoya jolene

lavender - OPI a grape fit

pastel green - essie navigate her

light grey - essie master plan

white - essie blanc

glitter w/ multi-color hexagon - revlon stunning

Lets paint!!

start by washing your hands and remove any old polish, oil or dirt off your nail bed and apply the base coat. Let it dry for 1 minute

apply 2 coats of the dark blue. let it dry for 1 - 2 minutes

TIP: leave a gap near the edges and cuticle to avoid polish getting on it and to have a professional look

Take your light blue, paint the edge and dab the wedge onto your nails

next, take the pink and a new cut wedge and dab it in random spots, I dabbed near the outer corners

Take the light green wedge and dab towards the center

Take the grey and white wedge and dab in the center

add one coat of your glitter polish and top coat

clean up any polish that got on your edges

and.....

Vola! you have a Galaxy Mani!!!

I told you it was easy to do. Let me know what you think of it, if you tried it or whatever!!

Also, you don't have to use all the colors I used, you can use black instead of blue, a medium to dark green and a grey to get the look, its up to you

BTW this is my first tutorial that I've ever done so let me know how I did, if you want me to do another tutorial or whatever!!

Will you be seeing this movie?

I have been a big and I mean BIG superhero cartoon and movie fan for as long as I can remember! Some of my favorite superhero shows and movies that I loved were Batman (can't wait for the Dark Knight movie to come out!), X-men, The avengers ( excited for this movie to come too) Ironman and my favorite of all time.... SPIDERMAN!!! I am a HUGE spiderman fan!!! I loved the classic 70's spiderman cartoons and I admit I watch them sometimes on Netflix when I can't find anything else to watch, and I liked the sequel movies.

When I heard that another spiderman movie was going to be released I was happy. I watched the trailer but this one didn't really excite me as much because its not going to have the same characters but Emma Stone is going to be on this one and she's one of my favorite actresses.

I guess we will have to see how this movie turns out

Nail Trend Alert: Caviar mani

Ok before I get to the topic, let me just say that I MISS BLOGGING!!! Lately my personal life have been placed on full speed, from planning a party, to classes, work and studying for an important upcoming test.. you guys get the point. So right now I feel great sitting at this starbucks, drinking my favorite passion fruit tea, listening to some music on my day off and just blogging!!!

So one of the latest nail trends that I taken notice at is the caviar mani. A caviar mani is basically little tiny beads (caviar sized) covering your nail. I'm not really into following trends and if I do, I want to do them before anybody else get ahold of them (like the crackle), but this one makes me wanna rock it!

To get this look sephora is selling a kit for $25... but if you want to go a cheaper route you can go to michaels or your local arts and crafts store and buy a pack of beads for half the price.

So would you rock this look?

Alot of things have been going on in my person life (nothing bad) that I haven't been able to post, watch t.v and youtube and my regular internet activity. Get Nailed!: My nail polish obsession q&a

As some of you know or may not know that I have a nail polish obsession! I know some of you guys wonder why I have so many bottles or post my nail art up and my answer to that is because I LOVE IT!! It's my passion, Its something I love to do.

Over the time I been asked a lot of questions about my nails and also someone from youtube tagged me a q&a nail question, so I'm going to be answering all of those questions starting now lol

Q: Why are you obsessed about your nails?

A: We all have an obsession about something mines happen to be doing my nails. I like how it makes me look and I can also express my creative side.

Q: Can you remember that name and brand of the first nail polish you owned?

A: Well the brand and color that made me begin my collection is essie turquoise and caicos. I still own it and is one of my favorite colors to this day

Q: What's your favorite nail polish company?

A: Essie! I am an essie girl! I also like OPI, china glaze and beginning to like Zoya

Q: Glitter or no glitter?

A: I love glitter! Sometimes its a pain to get off but I love how it makes your nails look

Q: OPI, China Glaze, or Essie?

A: All of them are great brands that I love

Q: When do you change your nail polish?

A: Haha like every 2-3 days. I get bored with a color very fast and also I don't like when I start to see chips and cracks on my nails

Q: What's your favorite color on your nails?

A: Pinks, Pastels and dark colors, I like how they make my nails look and they are the colors I get the most compliments on.

Q: Darks or Brights?

A: Darks for the fall/winter time and Brights for the spring/summer time but every now and then I will pop up with a black mani in the summer and a bright neon pink in the winter!

Q: What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?

A: Its an ombre nail that fades from yellow to white that i tried a few days ago AND that I'm going to be posting a tutorial on next so be on the look out for that!!!

Q: Matte Nails--In or Out?

A: OUT! I hate the matte look! I want my nails to be shiny and glossy not plain and dull. For me I'm not into these nail trends like the crackle, matte and etc. I like to be original and start my own trend

A: French mani's are boring to me

Q: Favorite Winter Color?

A: greys and black

Happy friday everyone! I love friday's for some reason! (I mean who don't love them?!)

Well maybe some of you heard or not but Nicki Minaj album Pink Friday: Romans Revenge have got leaked a few days ago (really no surprise there). I'm not really excited about this album or Nicki in general (I'm not bashing her) because of what she has been giving the public lately, basically to me she isn't the same person I feel in love with back in her mixtape days.

The "perfect" royal blue

Colors: (Blue) Essie - Mesmerized & (Multi-glitter) Nicole by O.P.I - Birthday in the s-kylie

So I recently went to ulta to find another color to add to my "massive" nail polish collection and this color (essie) caught my eye right away. I think its the "perfect" royal blue that fits so perfectly for spring. I also added a pop of glitter to give it a little more glam.

What Are your thoughts about this color? Have you ran into any royal blues, or just any blue nail polish that you like and want to share?
