Why Do You Want To Go To Heaven?

1 John 3:1-3 – See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

Heaven. The Bible doesn’t give us a lot of detail about heaven, but what we know thrills the soul. In the Revelation, the Apostle John describes some of the characteristics of this promised land for believers – “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:1-4). Yes, heaven is going to be an incredible place, but I want us to think about heaven today, not in the direction of a place we are going, but to a Person we will see.

In today’s scripture, the Apostle John proclaims God’s love to us in affirming our adoption into His forever family. As he states the security and assurance we have of being God’s children now, he also implies the spiritual struggle every child of God encounters this side of heaven. When John writes, “we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared”, he is telling us the reality of the Christian life; living in the now and the not yet simultaneously. We may paraphrase the Apostle like this, “Yes, rejoice we are God’s children now, but the work of living perfectly as God’s children is not yet. We are not finished being conformed into the image of our Elder Brother, the Lord Jesus.” And then he says what is the ultimate reason for wanting to go to heaven – to see the King of heaven, the Lord Jesus – “we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.” The final element of work in our sanctification occurs when we come face-to-face with Jesus. We will be like Him.

The number one reason for wanting to go to heaven is not to be delivered out of a tough life in this world. We want to go to heaven to see Jesus because in seeing Him, we are conformed to Him and this conformity enables us to do three things fully and without sin; worship Him, love Him, and serve Him. Yes, my friends, heaven is a beautiful place of no more tears, pain, sorrow and death, but heaven is more. It is the home of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings; the home He delights in sharing with us. The great Scottish divine of the 17th century, Samuel Rutherford, wrote of being a Christian in this life and all its trials while showing how they do not compare with the exceeding riches of heaven, particularly, the riches of Him who is heaven. He writes, “I have little of Him, yet long for more. God has made many fair flowers, but the fairest is heaven, and the flower of all flowers is Christ. One year’s time in heaven shall swallow up all sorrows beyond comparison. Christ Jesus is the end of your journey.”

Why do we want to go to heaven? A lot of good reasons, but the most important one is to see Him, the Lord Jesus, who is heaven to the believer knowing His love, grace, and power.

Lord, I reach out to you for your guidance.

Prayer & Confessions of Who I am in Christ

I am established in righteousness, and oppression is far from me, (Isaiah 54:14).

Early Harvest Is upon You!
“Some harvests take time to grow, says the Lord. For I have reserved some harvests to come upon you before their time, when you don’t expect them. Then rejoice and know that an early harvest is upon you!”
Prophetic Scripture:

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed… (Amos 9:13).
Both in the natural and spiritual realms, there are seasons reserved for planting and others for harvesting. Everything on earth is built upon the seed and harvest principle (see Gen. 8:22). Farmers plant seeds for natural harvests while we plant harvests for life through our choices. When it comes to the Kingdom of God, we reap spiritual harvests by sowing “seeds” into the things pertaining to God’s Kingdom. Not all these seeds are financial, but can be seeds of mercy, love, patience, right words, and so on. These seeds have a growth season and then eventually produce a harvest. Yet when it comes to God, spiritual harvests can transcend normal time. While there are established times for when harvests normally come, God can cause supernatural harvests to appear before their expected time. According to Amos 9:13, there is a type of harvest that can come so quickly that the harvest itself is maturing even before the seeds are fully planted.
There are supernatural harvests from God that come into the lives of everyone. Have you ever received a blessing that came quicker than you expected? That is a supernatural or “early” harvest. Know that God has planned some harvests in your life to come sooner than expected. Expect them at any time and know that times for an early harvest are always upon you!
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for seasons of early harvest that are established for me. I call them to manifest by faith. I see good things coming upon me that I didn’t even expect. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Be In Constant Communion With God

“Never stop praying.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT)

You will never grow a close relationship with God by just attending church once a week or even having a daily quiet time. Friendship with God is built by sharing all your life experiences with him.

Of course it is important to establish the habit of a daily devotional time with God, but God wants more than an appointment in your schedule. He wants to be included in every activity, every conversation, every problem, and even every thought.

You can carry on a continuous, open-ended conversation with him throughout your day, talking with him about whatever you are doing or thinking at that moment. “Praying without ceasing” means conversing with God while shopping, driving, working, or performing any other everyday tasks (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

A common misconception is that “spending time with God” means being alone with him. Of course, as Jesus modeled, you need time alone with God, but that is only a fraction of your waking hours. Everything you do can be “spending time with God” if he is invited to be a part of it and you stay aware of his presence.
The classic book on learning how to develop a constant conversation with God is “Practicing the Presence of God.” It was written in the 17th century by Brother Lawrence, a humble cook in a French monastery. Brother Lawrence was able to turn even the most commonplace and menial tasks, like preparing meals and washing dishes, into acts of praise and communion with God.

The key to friendship with God, he said, is not changing what you do, but changing your attitude toward what you do. What you normally do for yourself, you begin doing for God, whether it is eating, bathing, working, relaxing, or taking out the trash.

Today we often feel we must “get away” from our daily routine in order to worship God, but that is only because we haven’t learned to practice his presence all the time. Brother Lawrence found it easy to worship God through the common tasks of life; he didn’t have to go away for special spiritual retreats.

This is God’s ideal. In Eden, worship was not an event to attend, but a perpetual attitude; Adam and Eve were in constant communion with God. Since God is with you all the time, no place is any closer to God than the place where you are right now. The Bible says, “He rules everything and is everywhere and is in everything”

(Ephesians 4:6b NCV).

HELP OTHERS TO BE RESTORED

SCRIPTURE."Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you.
”(Ecclesiastes 11:1, NLT)

God has a system of restoration that is based on the principle of sowing and reaping. What you pour out to others will come back to you in increased measure. When you give generously, a generous harvest will return to you. When you help others succeed, you will find abundant success on your path as well. Are you helping others succeed? Are you helping others get ahead? There are some people in your life who hold the keys for you to reach your full potential. These are people that God has placed in your life for you to help. The higher they rise up, the higher you will rise too. When you give generously of your time, talents and resources, you are setting yourself up for greater success.

People will come across your path to help you grow and reach your full potential. Do your part to step out and sow the seed of restoration. Be on the lookout for ways you can help others. As you give of yourself to help others grow and get their restoration, you will also be restored. Sadly, some people never go higher. They have God-given dreams in their hearts and the promises of God on their side, but they surround themselves with a negative attitude that chokes the seeds of destiny in their life.

It is easy to listen to critics, or even well-meaning acquaintances, who say, “Don’t get your hopes up,” or “You’ve gone as far as you can go.” But they don’t understand that you have been called to go higher. Your path is getting brighter and brighter, from one level of glory to another. As you receive your restoration,your Heavenly Father will take you to a new level in your health, finances,relationships,career and every area of your life. Get a vision,let that seed take root. You might think that kind of success might be for someone else or that your future does not look so bright right now. Even if all you see is trouble in front of you now, don't give up, your restoration is close.

That situation is just a stepping stone to your restoration. I declare by faith that no obstacle will keep you down or hold you back. Instead of holding you back, every challenge is going to propel you to a victorious restoration. The Most High God is on your side! You cannot lose. Get a vision and see yourself going to that next level of restoration and refuse to let it go. God wants you to experience new miracles in your life starting tonight. God created you to soar!

Father thank you for the restoration of success in all that I do from tonight in Jesus name. Amen.

It's Time To Return To The Lord

The pleasure seekers are everywhere. Each one goes about his or her interests. A weight of hedonism rests heavily upon us. This is precisely what the Bible describes as the peril of the last days. Men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, proud, blasphemers, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. II Timothy 3:1, 2 & 4

Sin is the origin of the world's trouble. The need is repentance.

Madness increases with the population masses. We hope but in vain that there are not enough demons to exploit the rage.
Thankfully, by death on a cross the Lord Jesus Christ has borne the punishment determined upon us. "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath on him the iniquity of us all" Isaiah 53:6. By repentance, and faith in his death for us we can take part in God's grace and forgiveness.
Unfortunately, many good people are sitting on their hands.
In the meantime, precious young people are confused for lack of certainty. They can't be sure of anything except nothing is for sure. I'm glad I didn't grow up that way, but of course I'm old enough to remember days of relative innocence. We felt there were things we could depend on, such as: God and country.
But today's young people are left flat with little they can trust and almost nothing positive to identity with.
Who's going to fix the problem?

Someone said, "We have seen the enemy and the enemy is us."

We've allowed our churches to come under assault by every kind of evil idealism. It's the church's duty to lock arm and arm to defend the 'Word of God' and the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's time to take back our churches and do our part in caring for our world.
Many oppose the spread of religious good in any form. Supreme Court judge, Justice Douglas said in the case of Zorach v. Clauson, 343 U.S. 306 (1952) on behalf of a 6 to 3 majority Supreme Court:
"We sponsor an attitude on the part of government that shows no partiality to any one group...""To find in the constitution a requirement that the government show a callous indifference to religious groups. That would be preferring those who believe in no religion over those who believe. We find no constitutional requirement which makes it necessary for government to be hostile to religion and to throw its weight against efforts to widen the effective scope of religious influence."
If we have the will, we can widen the effective scope of religious influence.

A Cry For Holiness

       A cry for holiness is what I am writing to you: a cry to be set apart unto God. Out of the belly of the word of God you can hear it. Nothing can fix what ails the church but holiness unto the Lord. All that's wrong morally and spiritually will be corrected if we will unite ourselves to the Lord and line up to what tears at his heart. "Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee" Psalms 50:21. If we will begin at the place of reproof, we can then go to studying what is that lures us out of oneness with him.

       The requirements of holiness are very demanding but there is not a "to do list". Instead, we're united to the person of God. He will command heavily upon our entire being and he will draw out of us everything that takes us away from that set apart place with him. It follows like the scripture in James 4:9 "Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep". Pleasures and money cannot rule the one who answers the call to holiness. Rather, there will be much aloneness with God.

   "A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary" Jeremiah 17:12. We seek to his highness, his perfection and his holiness; there we can find sanctuary. Job said: "thy visitation hath preserved my spirit" Job 10:12b. We visit at his high throne where the angels cry holy: while the twenty-four elders fall on their faces (Revelation 5:8-10 & 7:11). The angels and the twenty-four elders are already in their perfect state but yet they are compelled to humble at God's holiness. They recognize that reconciling the world unto himself by the blood of his son Jesus Christ.
Prayer is a likely place to go if we will find the way of holiness. "Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for the gold where they fine it." "There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath no seen: The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it" Job 28:1; 7&8. We are not seeking an experience: we have run out of options and the only habitable place for us is wherever God is dwelling. Of course, he does live within the born again believer by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit but we must also abide in him if we will approach the place of holiness.
Jesus Christ "is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made lighter than the heavens" Hebrews 7:26. He offered up himself once (v.27) at the cross where God renders men innocent "through faith in his blood" Romans 3:25. The work of God is accomplished in the cross. Now, God says commandingly: "Be ye holy; for I am holy" I Peter 1:16. The church must come the way of holiness and reside there with God. Having entered this holy field we cannot venture our interests elsewhere.
The holy saint is relieved to know that there is nothing else to attend to but the "good way" Jeremiah 6:16. We will accept, that judgment must prevail upon the house of God, of wich we are a part (I Peter 4:17), in order that the thoughts and intents of our hearts may be discerned by the sword of God's word (Hebrews 4:12; 5:14).

       There has been enough talk about "practical Christian living", with so much buzz about "destiny", "purpose", "real life answers and solutions". We are and were created for God's pleasure that we might bring glory and honor unto him (Revelation 4:11). He is glorified in the one who seeks his person. He is not looking for a lot of activity. Today's modern message has led the masses to self-improvement resulting in self-absorption. The real life of the church is destroyed if we do not gather together to the glory of His person.
When we dare recognize the sinfulness and spiritual shallowness in our lives, we will be quick to seek out a preacher and camaraderie of people who share an interest in sanctifying unto God. To sanctify means to set apart unto holy use.

      Church, seek God. We have taught men too well how to enjoy life, how to find pleasure and purpose in family, job, career, education and entertainment. There are few that will love the message to "forsake all" (Luke 14:33).
We have told the masses that their calling is not in the four walls of the church and we will probably never see them again, who become so persuaded. Gathering together is for the purpose of exhorting on another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).
Jesus loves the church and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:25-27). He also, chose us in him before the foundations of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (Ephesians 1:4).

     Yielding to his sanctifying work in us is a full time occupation. The service of the church upon Jesus Christ is a continual thing and cannot be compromised with other preoccupations. The riches of Christ are unsearchable (Ephesians 3:8). Do we value Christ the person? Jesus is not interesting enough for most Christians. We lose interest because he must be sought out in prayer and consecrations. There are no short cuts. Easy-living Christians will not pass this way. They want a well-defined list of principles. They want to know what they're in for right out of the gate. Neither will they stand for having their lives invaded or put on tilt. They want everything prepackaged and fed for easy consumption. That's what you call feeding on the milk. They that partake of meat will have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:14).

     Holiness is essential to righteousness (moral rightness). Jesus was made unto us righteousness (I Corinthians 1:30) in order that we might without condemnation but with holy conviction seek the righteousness that is part and parcel of his nature.
Jesus Christ as the perfectly righteous one love righteousness and hated iniquity (Hebrews 1:9). He holds a sceptre of righteousness and will order his kingdom and establish it with judgment and justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this (Hebrews 1:8; Psalms 45:6; Isaiah 9:7). "Righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reigns" Isaiah 11:5.

15. I receive the anointing for spiritual promotion in the name of Jesus.

BE MIRACLE MINDED

It takes miracle thoughts to command and maintain the flow of signs and wonders. You cannot think obstacles and have miracles. You cannot think impossibility and expect possibility. Often times, many people allow the thoughts of impossibility be cloud their minds. The two do not go together.

The Bible says Abraham was not barren minded but believed the God of miracle.
"And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform." (Romans 4:19-21 KJV).
His age had no place in his mind, even though he and Sarah were both past child bearing age and his mind was closed to all negative factors. He refused to consider those natural laws that could cause his faith to waver. Rather, he chose to consider the ability of God and His omnipotence.

Abraham judged God faithful and became the "father of faith". His confidence in God made him to be persuaded that God would fulfil what He had promised.
Abraham believed that whatever God said. No one can maintain the flow of miracles without being miracle minded. The woman with the issue of blood was miracle minded and that was what brought her miracle. She thought her way through to her miracle.
"For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole." (Matthew 9:21 KJV).
Since no one commands the flow of miracles without being miracle minded, you need to renew your mind or else you will remain a victim of obstacles.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2 KJV).
All the mighty works that Jesus did while He was on earth came by His being miracle minded. It is impossible to operate with the mind of Christ without being a candidate for miracles. The mind of Christ is miracle minded and we ought to imbibe the same attitude. Renew your mind by being miracle minded.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." (Romans 5:5 KJV).

Love energises hope and faith! Some folks are ashamed to love because they think love is a sign of weakness. Some others are so ignorant and equate love with sex. Love is much bigger than a sexual relationship. Love is God's nature.The Bible says God is love.

"He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love." (1 John 4:8 AMP).

If you are ashamed to love you are simply ashamed of God! Love should excite you because it makes you superior to all those around you. Love makes you relevant in God's Kingdom. When you do not love, it is a sign that you do not know God or you are not acquainted with Him because you cannot know God and not love.

When you meet with God, His love will be shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit. The moment you received the Holy Spirit of God inside of you,the spirit of love also came into your life.All you need is to activate it through knowledge and practice it so everyone knows that you know God. Do not hate anyone or live in bitterness.

Many people are good until they begin to react to their situations.The Bible says,

"He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap." (Ecclesiastes 11:4 KJV).

You cannot live in love if your love is based on what happens or does not happen.The devil hates love and knows that love is God. You cannot see love and not see God.

Until your love goes beyond conditional love you cannot exercise God's divine love. Unconditional love involves loving without the influence of your environment. God's love is unconditional, He does not love because of what He sees you do. God's love is constant in spite of your shortcomings. He makes the sun shine on the good and the bad. The rain also falls for the benefit of both categories of people.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."

(Matthew 5:44, 45 KJV).

You must imbibe the habit of making excuses for people and love them unconditionally according to Gods word. Christ loved us while we were yet sinners.Therefore, love them inspite of their wrong. The Bible says we should use good to conquer evil,

"Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good." (Romans 12:21 AMP).

Love is superior to hatred malice, bitterness,strife, envy etc.It superceeeds every evil act. Overcome evil with good by loving everyone who comes your way unconditionally.You are a winner!

MEDITATION BRINGS MULTIPLE BLESSINGS!

SCRIPTURE."But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night." (Psalm 1:2 AMP).

In order to be blessed there are things you must not do and things you should do! We learnt in the morning devotion that without a voracious delight and desire for the word blessings cannot come. But that is not all,the same scripture says," Blessed is the man who............on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies)......" The wo(man) who will be blessed must not just love or crave for the word but he/she must meditate on the word.

Meditation on the word of God is like processing the word of God or digesting it from its written form into the spoken word. The same way any food you eat cannot benefit you if you do not digest it, any scripture you read that you do not meditate on will do you no good. The word of God is the blessing of God in written form. It needs to be broken down and digested to the level of usefulness. Meditation involves studying and pondering on the word,precepts,instructions and teachings of God's word. Without meditation on the word of God, the word cannot bless you because it takes meditation for the word to gain access to you. To be blessed by the word you must think about the word until the word produces the blessings required. Meditation is the engine room of the manifestation of Gods word.For as a man thinks in his heart so he is.

The more you think on the word of blessings, the more blessed you will become. No man can be blessed of God without first allowing the word of God to enter his heart.

"And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming." (Genesis 24:63 KJV)

When Isaac wanted to access the blessings of his father Abraham after his death,he did so by meditation.His servant went to bring a wife for him and after a couple of days there was no trace of him. Isaac was worried and several thoughts may have crossed his mind but instead of getting anxious and downcast, he stepped out of the dark.

When you meditate on the word of God it is a step out of darkness and anxiety. He went to the field not for prayers but to think and meditate on the promises of blessings.I am sure as he sat down in that field and thought of all the promises of God to his father and Gods faithfullness. H e must have told himself that God is the same yesterday,today and forever. The Bible says in a moment as he was pondering(thinking deeply on the word)he lifted up his eyes and saw what he was waiting for. Hallelujah! Whatever you can meditate on, your eyes will see. Give yourself to mediation of the word of God daily for your blessing is on the field coming to you.

Tonight's Prayer.

Father help me to give myself to meditation on your word as you open more showers of blessing unto me in Jesus name. Amen

ABRAHAM'S BLESSINGS

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3:14 KJV).

All believers in Christ are Abraham's seed and therefore possessors of all the blessings of Abraham.

"And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Galatians 3:29 KJV).
Some believers wonder why the Bible referred to us as Abraham's seed. They assume that he lived in the old testament.

First, Abraham lived before the Old Testament. He lived before the Law of Moses and he lived a life of faith here on earth. When God made a promise to him as recorded in the book of Genesis, the Bible says the promises were made to Abraham and his seed. This promise was repeated in Galatians 3:16
" Now the promises (covenants, agreements) were decreed and made to Abraham and his Seed (his Offspring, his Heir). He [God] does not say, And to seeds (descendants, heirs), as if referring to many persons, but, And to your Seed (your Descendant, your Heir), obviously referring to one individual, Who is [none other than] Christ (the Messiah)." AMP).

I like the amplified version interpretation of that verse. The word "seed" used in this scripture is not in a pluralised form but singular and it refers to Christ Jesus. Since you belong to Christ you are Abraham's seed . Your union with Christ automatically qualifies you as a descendant of Abraham and by extension the possessor of all the blessings of Abraham

As the seed of Abraham, you can never be disadvantaged or defeated in life. Poverty and sickness cannot be part of your life.
Isaac walked in super-abundant blessings during a period of severe famine because he was Abraham's seed.
"Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favoured him with blessings. And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished;" (Genesis 26:12, 13 AMP).

The same way it worked for Isaac, it will also work for you. You will have hundred fold blessings for every seed-sown. The Lord will favour you with blessings the same way He favoured Isaac because of Abraham. You will be great and gain advantage repeatedly. You will be very great and distinguished among your peers. For you are the Isaac of this generation.
"Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise." (Galatians 4:28 KJV). You are a child of promise! You will not fail! Welcome once again to your month of multiple celebration of blessings.

Today's Confession.
I declare today that I am a partaker of the blessings of Abraham. I am blessed everywhere I go;in the city,in the field,in my going out and in my coming in. Amen.

‎ FAITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS BRINGS TESTIMONIES!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." (Acts 3:16 KJV)

Nothing in the kingdom of God is possible without faith! The Bible says,
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 KJV). Faith makes things work! Last night we learnt that the name of Jesus is the major instrument for a testimony lifestyle. Calling the name of Jesus is not enough,you must believe in that name that is above all other names in heaven and earth.

In the opening scripture, Apostle Peter was defending a testimony that happened at the beautiful gate. He and John met a man who was crippled from his mother's womb and the man asked them for alms. Instead of giving money they gave him a lifetime testimony with the power of attorney they possessed.

Look at what they did with the name of Jesus
" Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk." (Acts 3:6 KJV).
Hallelujah! They spoke a testimony into existence using the name of Jesus and the result was instant. They spoke with authority in the name and the devil ran away from the man. Wow!That is what happens when you use the name of Jesus with faith in your heart. The man was healed immediately,
"And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God." (Acts 3:7, 8 KJV).

He was healed instantly and the testimony began to spread, people gathered as they watched a testimony happen before their very eyes. When every body started asking how it happened Peter stood up and explained with our opening scripture
"And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all."
You have direct access to that name and you can command the same result if you use the name in faith.

Faith is believing what the word of God declares as truth over every situation and circumstance. Having faith in the name of Jesus is being conscious and confident that God cannot lie. Expect your testimony as you use the name of Jesus in faith.
"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;" (Philippians 2:10 KJV).

Henceforth believe the Word and operate in the Word.When Peter used that name and the man was staring at him, he added an action to make it work.
"And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength."

Faith is acting on the word of God because you believe He cannot fail. This is your season and hour of testimony ,keep speaking in the name of Jesus with faith in that name.

‎ YOU ARE A TESTIMONY

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:" (1 Cor 1:6 KJV)
What you see most is the strongest in your life! Your birth was not a biological mistake. You came to this earth a winner! You are a victor! You are a champion! The first testimony you must see and share this month for your celebration is you! The seeds that left your father into your mother for a formation were in thousands but you were the first to hit the expected target. All other seeds died but you made it!

Your mother encountered several complications during your pregnancy and you overcame them. There were conflicting predictions about your birth date, some people said it would not come to pass. Some medical results were negative. Even the scan results were contradictory, yet you were born. It was an unusual delivery but here you are! Your mother cried and groaned in pain. It was a valley of the shadow of death but you scaled through.

When you were born, you came out crying but all the same you are still alive. I cannot imagine any bigger testimonies than you and your journey through life. You are a bundle of testimonies!Since you came to this world you have been through all kinds of temptations and trials but through it all you are still standing. Remember those days when it seemed you would not wake up or make it through the day, yet you are still alive.

Enter this month with a different perception about yourself. Scream it on top of your voice that you are a testimony. Stop seeing those temporary set backs of the past. Remove your eyes from them! I agree that some challenges you went through where quite painful just like your delivery where your mother cried in pain but the tears eventually turned to joy. In the same way, all your tears are turning to joy this month.

You are not a failure but a testimony! The fact that some parts of your life seem to be unfruitful does not make you barren, you are a testimony. Some persons who went through what you experienced died as a result but you pulled through because you are a testimony. You are not poor because poor people cannot survive what you have gone through in life. Every area of your life is a testimony.

That you are alive today to see the beginning of this month is a big testimony. There is no bigger testimony than you, you are a living proof that God cannot fail. You are an evidence on earth that God is faithful. God sees you and He is proud to be God because you are a reflection of His glory. Can I hear you shout I am a TESTIMONY!

Today's Prayer.
Father thank you for making me a testimony in Jesus name. Amen!

THE HOLY SPIRIT
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" (Acts 2:17 KJV)

Welcome to the month of March! Thank God for the grace to see the third month of 2012. T...he Holy Spirit is the third person in the trinity and three is His number. Thank God for all the powerful revelations He gave us all throughout the month of February about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit impressed on me that we should continue learning about Him this month.

You cannot know too much about the Holy Spirit! In order to be filled, pressed down,shaken together and running over,you require more knowledge of His person. You must know Him until the rain, the former rain and the latter rain has been poured on you. Like the opening scripture says these are the last days for us to witness the outpouring of the Spirit upon all flesh with signs and wonders.

In this month you will see signs and wonders from above in every area of your life. Everyone around you this month shall see the abundance of the Holy Spirit in you.
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth” (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit wants to give us wisdom, guidance and direction in everything that we do. The Spirit becomes our guide, leading us in the way that we should go. You should ask the Spirit to lead you whenever you are making major life decisions. I am confident that it is God’s deepest desire that we seek him in every area of our lives.

The Spirit will lead you into the place that you should be. Are you facing an important life-changing decision? Do you need to make a major financial decision with regards to investment? Do not be afraid to ask Him to lead you in making the best decision. He will speak if we ask for His help.

How do we know when he is speaking to us? There are several ways that we can hear the voice of God. The Spirit speaks through the Word of God. He uses the Bible to reveal his will. He also speaks through our circumstances. Be aware of what God is trying to tell you in your everyday life. Sometimes he speaks through a still small voice in prayer. If we will be quiet long enough and listen, He will speak. The Spirit might use somebody else to speak to you. It is not uncommon for the Lord to speak through somebody when you least expect it. Finally, God sometimes speaks through dreams, visions and other gifts of the Spirit. In this evening's devotion we will continue our study on the fruits of the spirit. Welcome to a new month of multiple celebration!

‎TEST WHAT YOU HEAR

SCRIPTURE."BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world." (1 John 4:1 AMP)

Praise God for all the various languages of the Holy Spirit we have studied. The series will be incomplete without also knowing ho...w to test what you hear. How do know that God is leading or speaking to you? The scripture above suggests that we test all spirits to be sure they are of God. Even our Lord Jesus said whenever He heard He would first test to be sure it was from God.
"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30 KJV).
If Jesus have to judge what He heard, as His followers we must do the same.

Determining the genuineness of what you hear begins with ensuring that whatever you are led to do or what you heard from God is in line with His word. God will never lead you contrary to His word."
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple." (Psalm 119:130 KJV).
Secondly,the leading or words from the Holy Spirit will produce comfort, edification and exhortation.
"But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort." (1 Corinthians 14:3 KJV).
Prophesy is a manner of speech of the Holy Spirit with the above qualities. It must edify (increase understanding and be uplifting), exhort (encourage and cheer one up) and it must bring comfort( freedom from worry, disappointment and confusion).

Whatever the Holy Spirit says to you that brings confusion is questionable. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of peace. God is not an author of confusion
"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." (1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV).
The Holy Spirit's leading is God's leading and He will always lead you beside still and not troubled waters. When what you hear is not characterised by the above you must be careful and pray in the spirit for redirection. In a nutshell, whatever God tells you about any problem must also include a good solution and not more confusion and suspicion .You must celebrate!

Tonight's Prayer
Help me Lord to always be patient to hear from your Spirit and also confirm that His leading is in line with your will in Jesus name. Amen..

THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH

SCRIPTURE."Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." (John 14:17 KJV)

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth! What is the truth? Until you know what the truth is, you cannot relate properly with the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus said
"Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth." (John 17:17 AMP). The truth is the Word of God, therefore tonight's topic can also be titled,
"THE SPIRIT OF THE WORD OF GOD".

You cannot operate in the Spirit without the ministry of God's word. The Holy Spirit and the Word are like a cell phone and airtime. When you are out of airtime,you cannot maximise your phone optimally because you are limited by the amount of airtime on your phone. In the same way without fuel or gas your car will be grounded. The Holy Spirit needs the word of God to dwell inside of you in order for you to experience a full manifestation of His power. The move of the Spirit is determined by the amount of the word you have on the inside. When the word of God is at work in you,the Spirit of truth will be alive on your inside.

Without the active word of God in you ,the Spirit will be dormant and you will be as empty as a car without fuel or a cell phone without airtime. Our opening scripture said the world cannot receive the Holy Spirit because they do not know the truth(ie the word of God). The knowledge of the word of God gives you access to wonderful,powerful and memorable experiences with the Spirit of God. In order to experience the Holy Spirit's manifestation in your life, you must have the knowledge of God's word by revelation. More of His word in you means more of His power and ability in you. Be addicted to the word of God,study it day and night and you will be giving the Holy Spirit ample opportunity to operate in your life.

Father I promise to give time and attention to your word so I can see and know more of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. Amen

THE SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" (Isaiah 11:2 KJV).

Praise God! You are endowed with the best virtues of life! The Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might and the spirit of knowledge. The Spirit of knowledge dwells in you as soon as you receive the Lord Jesus and the Holy Ghost. You possess a wealth of knowledge by the in dwelling power of the Spirit in your inside. You cannot have the Holy Spirit and lack knowledge because He is the embodiment of all knowledge.
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1 John 2:27 KJV).

The Holy Spirit is the teacher who is always willing to reveal mysteries of the kingdom to you. When you make Him your teacher, you gain uncommon knowledge that enables you fulfil destiny. The anointing you have received will teach you all things. He will give you access to the truth.
You cannot be ignorant or foolish in Christ. Being born again comes with an anointing to excel in knowledge. Your God is a God of knowledge,
"Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed." (1 Samuel 2:3 KJV)

Stop judging yourself based on past failures! We walk by faith and not by sight. In order to manifest this knowledge, know that God cannot lie. You are knowledgeable, ordained by God to rule and reign. The adversary cannot fathom the volume of knowledge in you. While Jesus was on earth,he exhibited this knowledge and people stood in awe.
"And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers." (Luke 2:46, 47 KJV).
The world heard Jesus because of His divine knowledge, the will also hear you. Keep confessing that you are a wo(man) of knowledge everywhere you go. Do not allow any situation intimidate you. Manifest your divine knowledge by the Holy Ghost as your multiple celebration continues in Jesus name.

Today's Confession.
I am a wo(man) of knowledge by the power of the Holy Spirit. The spirit of knowledge is at work in me and it will increase from glory to glory in Jesus name. Amen

SPIRIT OF COUNSEL

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" (Isaiah 11:2 KJV)

You learnt from our previous teachings that you possess the spirit of wisdom and understanding. In addition,you have the Spirit of counsel in you. The Spirit of counsel is the supernatural ability for direction or helpful suggestions regarding a decision or future course of action. The Holy Spirit is also referred to as 'The Counsellor' and He dwells in you to give you direction in all your affairs. The Holy Spirit is the best counsellor in the world.
"And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21 AMP)

In the old testament,they were counselled by the Spirit outside or behind but in the new testament you hear it from the inside. You have the Holy Spirit within, therefore the spirit of counsel is at work in you. That is why the Spirit led you in the right direction,
"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." (Romans 8:14 AMP)
Be led by the spirit of counsel at all times for you Multiple Celebration.

You cannot be confused in life when the spirit of counsel is in you! Allow the Holy Spirit lead and guide you in all your ways. Do not embark on anything without divine direction,
"Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track." (Proverbs 3:6 MSG) Listen to the voice of the Spirit in everything you do. Acknowledge Him as your director and instructor. Many Christians are in the habit of seeking counsel elsewhere instead of harnessing the opportunity of having the Spirit of counsel and thereby invoke curses upon themselves .
"WOE TO the rebellious children, says the Lord, who take counsel and carry out a plan, but not Mine, and who make a league and pour out a drink offering, but not of My Spirit, thus adding sin to sin;" (Isaiah 30:1 AMP).

No matter how intelligent any counsellor may be, make sure you weigh his/her counsel beside what the Spirit of counsel says. The more you use the ministry of counsel in the Holy Ghost the more your life in the Spirit will grow into greener pasture.
"He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake." (Psalm 23:2, 3 AMP).
Your comfort and celebration is in His counsel. You must Celebrate!

Today's Response.
Start listening and seek direction from the Holy Spirit even in the simple things of life as you begin to depend on Him for counsel in bigger decisions.

SPIRIT OF WISDOM.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; (Isaiah 11:2 KJV)

The Holy Spirit gives you grace in various areas of daily living!We shall take a look at each of them as stated in the above scripture. From yesterdays teaching, you have an understanding that the Spirit of God dwells in you and rests upon you. The first thing He empowers you with is the Spirit of wisdom! The Spirit of wisdom is the supernatural wisdom of God in you to have solutions to all kind of challenges that confront you in life. Wisdom is being prudent and sensible enough to apply knowledge. This kind of wisdom is divine and supernatural. The Bible says,
"For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."1 Corinthian 1:21 KJV.

The Holy Spirit by wisdom brought salvation to you and that wisdom dwells in you as long as you remain saved. The people of the world are helpless because they lack the wisdom of God hence they are foolish and ignorant. You are different, the spirit of wisdom resides in you and as a result you are outstanding and no power can match the divinity in you.
"For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."(Luke 21:15.KJV).
That is your heritage! The mouth and wisdom to rule your world.

The spirit of wisdom secures you against any attack of the evil one. Wisdom is a weapon of war! The promise in the scripture above was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost and it is a gift from God without repentance. Thank God for the spirit of wisdom in your life. Celebrate the Spirit of wisdom daily and apply it in all your dealings.

Activating the spirit of wisdom begins with constantly feeding on the word of God because the Word increases wisdom.
"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." (2Timothy 3:15).
The scriptures will boost the wisdom in you. You are a genius! You are the solution to the worlds problems,the answer to their questions on various issues such as war,natural disasters,insecurity,economic meltdown,corruption etc.

You are the light of the world! Shine with the Spirit of Gods wisdom in you and liberate the world from darkness and ignorance.
"To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God," (Ephesian 3:10. KJV)
Go out today and show them the stuff you are made of! The Spirit of wisdom is at work in you.

CELEBRATE FORGIVENESS!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Then Peter came up to Him and said, Lord, how many times may

my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go?[As many as] up to seven times? Jesus answered him, I tell you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven!" (Matthew 18:21, 22 AMP)

Many people are living in the bondage of un forgiveness as a result of ignorance. When you understand the truth about forgiveness,you will forgive easily . Whenever you forgive,it is for your good. On the other hand,un forgiveness is unacceptable in the kingdom. The side effects of un forgiveness are innumerable. If you do not forgive others, God will not forgive you. Un forgiveness exposes you to all kinds of incurable diseases.
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed......" James 5:16KJV.
This simply means settle your differences and forgive one another so you may be healed. If forgiveness can bring healing it means un forgiveness brings sickness.

Un forgiveness is a form of demonic captivity. If God does not forgive you because of your un forgiveness, His presence will not be with you. Safety is not the absence of danger but the presence of God! His absence from your life will make you vulnerable to all forms of attack. As a Christian you should act like your heavenly father because you are a god. God never recalls your offences.

The first reason why you should celebrate forgiveness is because it keeps the door firmly closed against the devil. When you do not forgive, you allow bitterness and malice, both of which are satan's keys of destruction. Celebrating forgiveness makes the power of God in your life flow unhindered. It also keeps you in good health. Ensure you always forgive those who have wronged you. If you forget how merciful and gracious God has been to you, you may find it difficult to forgive others. But when you appreciate the mercy you receive daily from the Lord you will forgive easily.

Like our opening scripture says you must keep forgiving no matter how many times you have been wronged. Jesus said you should do it seventy times seven which is four hundred and ninety. It is impossible for one person to offend you that much. Jesus was simply saying you should continue to forgive.

Today's Confession.
Father, I refuse to allow un forgiveness,bitterness and malice in my life. I have the capacity to overlook the faults and shortcomings of others in Jesus name. Amen
