Hello Montana! Welcome to Evil Tammy’s Brazen Book Banter. It’s a pleasure to have you today. Please tell me about your book.

Hi Tammy! Thank you so much for having me! I’m very excited to talk to everyone about my very first paranormal romance book, Warden. It’s the first book in the Elemental Paladins series (hopefully!) and features a gaggle of smokin’ hot knights, born to protect and serve, as well as one very clueless charge, born to annoy the hell out of them! The leading lady, Max, is quick-witted, sharp-tongued, dirty-minded and pervy! Very, very pervy! She’s tough because she’s had to fight to survive and can’t believe her luck when she stumbles upon the ‘harem’ of good looking paladins. The sarcastic little redhead meets her match in Ryker, the reluctant leader of the ancient knights. He’s broody and insensitive … but he does have nipple rings! Did I mention Max was pervy? So she can pretty much forgive him anything when he flashes those metal bars at her from his amazingly ripped chest! Want to know more? Then go meet Max and Ryker in Warden!

What’s your next project?

I have a handful of partial ‘masterpieces’ and after the release of Warden, I now found myself motivated to complete them all! But first up is the second instalment in the Elemental Paladins series featuring Diana and Darius. Soon to follow will be a new series, cheekily name-dropped courtesy of Max in Warden. For everyone who has read (or yet to read) Warden, keep your eyes peeled for mention of Sabre, the rather violent angel assassin from Reluctant Royals!

Where do you live?

Australia! Yes, I’m an Aussie so please forgive the Aussie slang and beware of the unavoidable Aussie spelling in all my books.

What’s your favourite line from any movie?

“Fuck ‘em if they can’t take a joke.” This has been in multiple movies and books but nobody says it better than John Travolta in Broken Arrow.

What’s your favourite TV show of all time and why?

Stargate SG-1. Hands down the best TV series ever! And I’m talkin’ about the originals here, SG-1, not those other bastardised versions! I do love me some Daniel Jackson and Jack O’Neil!

What are you afraid of?

Praying mantis … and bananas. Say what? Well the praying mantis is a genuine phobia- I can’t even look at a photo of one. I once ran barefoot over broken glass just to escape one’s evil clutches! And bananas? Well, that’s more of an aversion, really. I don’t like to see them, smell them, touch them or hear them. Keep those awful yellow, potassium-filled, phallic-shaped things away from me!

Cats or dogs?

Both! I actually have one of each. In fact, would you like to meet the real Montana Ash? May I Introduce …

Yep, my fur-kids named me! The only problem now is that they want a cut of the profits- I have a feeling I’m going to be supplying ping pong balls and stuffed bunnies as payment for a long time!

Ryker! Finally a name to go with that body of his, Max thought as she shivered in delicious anticipation. The name certainly fit him. The guy looked like he belonged in a maximum security prison after all. He had a heavy five o’clock shadow, messy black hair almost touching his shoulders and bulging muscles displayed perfectly by his plain white tee shirt. He had a huge scar running from under his jaw all the way up the left side of his face and disappearing under his hair line. It was like someone had attempted to hack his face in half. But the imperfection by no means detracted from that fallen angel face. In fact, it made Max want to trace its jagged lines with her tongue – that was her thing for scars talking. She let her eyes roam south and, no – it couldn’t be! Was that what she thought it was? Please don’t let it be, she begged privately ... Fuck, it was! Her very own Achilles heel … nipple rings! She could just detect the outlines of the metal under the white cotton where his nipples were situated. Lord have mercy, she was a sucker for a good nipple ring. Were they hoops or were they bars? She could work with either but she was a little partial to bars.

“Are you done staring?”

Max managed to refrain from jolting at the snarled words. Shit! She had obviously been staring at the inmate too long. He was glaring at her from across the room with those too-good-to-be-true deep brown eyes. They were the colour of her favourite chocolate … dammit. He was like her own personal, life-size walking wet dream. She had to be cool.

“Not really.” She answered, deadpan. “I was planning to take a picture. I hear they last longer.”

So many projects in the works right now! Next week I have two releases that just happened to get scheduled together. In January the Crawley Creek Cowboys will be back and readers will finally get Hawke’s story, as well as an update on the flood stricken ranch. This week I’m switching gears from cowboys to shifters in my writing den as I work on a new paranormal short for an anthology coming out in February. I Wish I Could...

Hey peeps!
I've been stuck in YouTube land all afternoon. I popped over to the site JUST to see if I could find a well rounded video to post here today. O. M. G. THAT was at 1:30 pm today. Since I'm not clicking publish right this second, I'll tell y'all that the time on my laptop says 4:26 pm. O. M. G. I spent almost 3 freakin' hours on YouTube.

Anyway...I'm finally here and it's time to tell y'all what Evil Tammy's Weekend Wish is.

Evil Tammy's wish is...*drum roll please*

IRELAND:

I know...sounds kind of funny when it's just thrown out there, doesn't it? But, I want to go to Ireland, see everything, do everything, maybe even not come back. Ireland is #1 on my 'bucket list'. And on this wish...I'm greedy. I don't want to take a quick week trip and be rushed. Nope...no way. I want to go for a minimum of 2 weeks and would thank my 'lucky Irish stars' if I could stay longer, maybe a month? *sigh*

Y'all might be wondering why Ireland is my wish...my #1. Well, I'll just try to explain. I think my love affair with Ireland started WAY back in the 80s when I first read Nora Roberts' Irish Thoroughbred. Throw in her Irish Born Trilogy starting withBorn in Fire and her Gallaghers of Armore Trilogy, with Jewels of the Sun starting it off and I was 100% completely hooked.

And THEN, she has Eve fall in love with Roarke...guess what? He's IRISH! So THAT was the icing on the cake. Every single one of her J. D. Robb In Death books just pulled me more and more into the 'dark side'! LOL

Although the brilliant Nora Roberts started my craving for Ireland, her books are not the only reason I want to go. Every photo, video, movie that has anything to do with Ireland just reaches out and touches me. Those beautiful rolling green hills, angry seas, jagged cliffs, and lovely local pubs just talk to me. The addition of the Irish Folklore is just gravy. I mean, seriously...witches, faeries, leprechauns, banshees, selkies, ghosts, haunted castles...they all just make me wonder...'What if?'

Castles...haunted, stately, gothic...Irish castles exude the romantic feel of this beautiful place. They evoke magical visions of brave warriors, fair maidens and even scary dungeons.

Irish superstitions/beliefs...we all know about the lucky four-leaf clovers, throwing salt over your shoulder if you spill it, horse shoes for good luck, and of course the 'luck of the Irish'. But did you know that if a woman sees seven white horses in one day then the next man she sees will be her true love? SEE...that's just super cool to me. There are tons of Irish superstitions, beliefs, old wives tales...and I just LOVE the fact that they exist.

Again...my brain (and heart) simply asks...'What if'?

ETHAN GRANT

Ethan Grant is one of the heroes from Heather Rainier's Divine Grace, which is the first book of her Divine Creek Ranch Series. Ethan also makes quite a few appearances throughout the series. He owns The Dancing Pony in Divine, Texas and has accumulated lots of 'pickup lines' over the years. I first met Ethan in person, well, on Facebook, back in 2013 and he can still make me blush when he says in that deep, sexy, Texas drawl - Tammy darlin'. *shivers just ran through me thinking about it* (btw...I AM his favorite...just sayin') ~evil grin~

Hey peeps!
Do y'all ever think that you 'wish your life away'? My momma used to tell me that ALL the time. Funny...I used to roll my eyes at her and say, 'whatever'. Now...I'd give almost anything to see her and hear her say that again. She's been gone almost 14 years now. Not a day goes by I don't think of her and something that happened or something that she said. I can remember saying, "I wish Friday would get here, or I wish it was Summer, or Christmas, or whatever" and she'd say, 'there you go again...wishing your life away'. When I was young, I thought, ok...whatever you say, momma. NOW...I totally get what she was saying and I still find myself doing it.

I know I heard every single one of those when I was growing up. Makes me smile just hearing her voice in my head.

I'm sure most of you are like me...you struggle to get through your work week, make it to Wednesday, thinking...only 2 more days and the weekend will be here. A store clerk says hi, how are you? You respond, I'm okay, but I sure wish it was Friday. Notice how easy it is to 'wish your life away'?

So, Evil Tammy's Weekend Wish is...*drum-roll please*...To go back in time and LIVE in the moment rather than 'wish it' away.

I came up with 5 things I'd 'do-over' if this wish came true.

1. Wait until I was older than 20 to get married. The thought crossed my mind to say just not get married at 20 but if i did that, then I wouldn't have my two amazing sons.

2. Join the Air Force right after high school, get my degree while in the military, stay in and retire at 38.

3. Get more into fitness. I exercised some...but not habitually. I think if I had really gotten into running, or biking or swimming on a daily basis, that my health today would be MUCH better!

4. NEVER start smoking.

5. Take the job I was offered with the CDC in Atlanta after I graduated with my microbiology degree instead of staying in my home town because my husband didn't want to move.

Hey peeps!

How are y'all doing this weekend? I'm enjoying our lovely cool weather we are having. Highs in the 60s, lows in 40s....it's absolutely fantastic! Too bad it's supposed to be back up in the 80s here by Wednesday.

I've been thinking about what to 'Wish' for this weekend. I decided that since it is MY wish that I'm going all out.

I wish that I could Visit (maybe move to) a Fictional World'!

Wouldn't that be freakin' awesome? Take a minute and think of all of the wonderful fiction books that you've read. To actually be able to visit...or even move to one of these fantastic places would be amazing! Now...which one would I want to go to? Hmmm...there's no way I can pick just one. I'll choose my top three.

1. Divine, Texas - This is the setting for Heather Rainier's Divine Creek Ranch Series. Oh...to be able to actually go there and meet Gracie and Ethan and Adam and Jack and I could go on and on. To go out with them to the Dancing Pony and get out there and dance with all of those ladies. *le sigh* And if the visit turned into a move because I met a Divine man...or men *gigglesnort*, well that would be just awesome!

Ok...I couldn't find Divine Creek Ranch or even Divine, Texas but I did find a video with the gorgeous Hill Country in Texas, with an amazing house (for sale in the video, but ignore that, lol). And I know from reading that I'm 'close' to Divine...it's somewhere in that beautiful Texas Hill Country! THIS is what I imagine when I read Heather's Divine Creek Series and I could definitely see myself there!

2. The Carpathian's World - Christine Feehan's Dark Series intrigues me. A little scary but oh so exciting. To meet Mikhail Dubrinksy, the Prince of the Carpathians and his lifemate Raven. To have immortality, powers, and possibly find out I have hidden gifts that make me a possible lifemate would be mind blowing.

3. New York, 2058, the world where J. D. Robb has created her In-Death Series. To get to meet Eve and the 'OMG' Roarke would be out of this world exciting. Walking into 'cop central' with Eve and Peabody; meeting McNabb and Feeny; watching Summerset and Eve go at each other; holy crap, just walking into Eve and Roarke's home would be fantastic! Hearing Roarke say 'Darling Eve' in that sexy Irish accent...*le sigh*...hoping he finds his long lost identical twin brother before I get there! *gigglesnort*

Here's a Fan-Made Video about the In Death Series. It's pretty good. Not quite the Eve and Roarke I picture in my mind, but then...that's why books are so wonderful. Every reader sees the characters in their own way.

Alanea Alder: Polgara from The Belgariad Series by David Eddings. Because she was the first strong female character that I read where men respected her power and authority. AND because she was an all powerful sorceress!

Alanea Alder: Pool, because there are too damn many things that can pinch, sting or bite you at the beach.

Hiya Peeps!

Hope your weekend has been going great so far! I just glanced at the clock and it's almost time for me to get depressed because it'll be Sunday evening...then Sunday night, then that Bitch, MONDAY, will be here. UGH!

Oh well...I just need to enjoy the moment, right?

Before I get to My Weekend Wish, I HAVE to tell you about a book released Friday that was kickass! I'm sure all of you have figured out that I'm a HUGE fan of Heather Rainier. I've read every single one of her books and love them all. Of course, I have my favorites, and my very very VERY favorite is Divine Grace, Book 1 of Heather's Divine Creek Ranch Series.

Heather's newest addition to her Divine Creek Ranch Series, BUNNY AND THE BEAST made it into my top 3 of all of her books. When I started this blog, I decided NOT to make it a 'review blog'. There are so many of those out there and I felt like I'd just fall in the cracks. I wanted to do something a little different on my book blog. That's why y'all hardly ever see me write a review.

BUT...I have to write just a small one on BUNNY AND THE BEAST.

BLURB:

Evil Tammy's Review:

      As always, Heather Rainier produced an outstanding book. And honestly, there was never a doubt in my mind that Bunny and the Beast would be anything else. I always look forward to her new books. I feel like I'm going to visit my close friends every time I pick up a Divine Creek Ranch Series book. Ms. Rainier is brilliantly talented in making her readers feel that way. This time was no different. Page one had me right back in The Dancing Pony in Divine, Texas with all of my friends that I had missed so much!
     Heather Rainier is not a name you automatically think of when you list BDSM authors. There have been bits and pieces throughout the series, but no single book that focused on dominance and submission. Heather created this beauty in a way that thoroughly explained some of the BDSM aspects while keeping it entertaining and fun.
   Ms. Rainier gives you:
   Joseph - Dom with EXACT expectations of a Subbie of his own
and
     Bunny - independent, smartass, "I don't do submission", talk like a sailor cutie

Could there be two more different personalities for a Dom/Sub couple?

     I promise you'll be fanning yourself from some of the blazing scenes, wanting to smack the crap out of a few people, wiping your tears from some of the heartbreak, and then laughing your ass off at something else.

     Ms. Heather Rainier's writing is PURE GOLD. I absolutely adored Bunny and fell in love with Joseph. I highly recommend Bunny and the Beast as well as ALL of the Divine Creek Ranch Series!

I thought a while on what I wanted to post. Lots of different things were flying around in this 'evil' head but I decided to go with a serious subject. (I know...y'all had no idea that I could even BE serious, didcha?) LOL

Here we go...

I WISH that I didn't smoke. Yup. I said it. Wait, wait...before y'all say, "Evil Tammy, you can stop smoking anytime you choose to"...Yes...I know I can. Let me rephrase my Wish.

I WISH that I didn't WANT to smoke and LIKE to smoke. See...that's a difference. Sadly, I just really enjoy smoking. Yes, I know it's not the PC thing to do these days, but oh well.

If I could figure out how to shift my 'Smoking WANT into Exercising WANT' then now, THAT would be something to write about, eh?

I NEED to exercise, but I don't wanna. I KNOW that I NEED to exercise and I still don't wanna.

I guess I could start exercising and reward myself with a cigarette afterwards? LOL!

I know...NOT how I should be thinking.

Oh well...that's my Weekend Wish....and of course...it's up to me if I ever make it come true.

This was a really hard decision for me to choose ONE book that I've read this year as my 'Rockin' Read! I read so many different genres of Romance that I found myself comparing Paranormal, Romantic Suspense, Erotic Romance, Gay Romance, Sweet Contemporary and BDSM. Let me tell you...it's freakin' hard to pick just ONE out of those.

This book has it 'all'. I know, I know...y'all have heard that before...but I promise it really does. To create an entire new world which has shifters, vampires, witches and fey, and that is unlike anything anyone has ever read about is amazing in today's world with so many paranormal books out there. Ms. Alder's characters, (shifters/vampires/witches and fey) also are refreshingly different. She gives you smoking hot, strong alphas that have a tender side but with a sense of humor that you will adore! And the females...oh boy...get ready for a snarky, no brain to mouth filter, independent heroines. I PROMISE (notice the big letters here, lol) that you will absolutely love her books and have her on auto-buy after you just read one. So...if you want a book that TOTALLY ROCKS...MY SAVIOR will definitely hit the spot.

I think I only got a max of 5 hours sleep a night since Tuesday...and one night...I didn't even get 3 hours because of that 'Evil Kris Cook'! I started his book and could NOT put it down. HIGHLY RECOMMEND y'all read it! I ADORED it and can't wait for the next one in his series, Mockingbird Place. LOVED it! ♥

Okay...on to my WISH!

I have NOT found one that I didn't love!

There is just something about an author who's writing spans decades and she stays at the top of the bestseller lists!

ONE of these days...I AM going to meet these three...ONE of these days!

Hey y'all! I'm sure by now y'all have figured out that I kinda like Alanea Alder. *grin* I'm not sure WHAT gave it away. LOL Maybe the fact that all of her Kindred of Arkadia Series Books are on my blog??? Hmmm, yeah...that's probably it. LOL Well....have I got EXCITING news for y'all! Not only is Alanea writing those hot, scrumptious, funny, sexy as hell Arkadia books that are published from Siren, but she is also writing as an INDIE AUTHOR too! WOOT WOOT!

Since When Is It OK to STEAL?

I'm sure that most if not all of y'all have seen and read about the FB and Yahoo groups that have been 'outed' regarding their book 'sharing' activities this week.  I am appalled that so many people who claim to be author's FRIENDS are in these groups. People, who author's have gotten to know, talked to online and some even met and hung out with in person at conventions. PEOPLE, who these authors truly thought they could call FRIENDS. It's bad enough that "No-Name Pirates" are OUT THERE, all over the web", but to find out that your own friends are stealing from you just like these "No-Name Pirates" has got to be the ultimate knife in the back.

I've read LOTS of FB posts this week about this and what truly amazes me are the excuses that I see. Here are a few:

1. I have never shared books, I had no idea I was in that group...I didn't join...

     ***EXCUSE ME??? Even if I don't actively join a group and someone else adds me to a group, FB is kind enough to have a little box that pops up in the upper left corner of your screen that asks if you want to either join. Let me just share the Merriam-Webster Dictionary Definition for the word STEAL:

1- to take (something that does not belong to you) in a way that is wrong or illegal
2- to take (something that you are not supposed to have) without asking for permission

3- to wrongly take and use (another person's idea, words, etc.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even idiots should be able to understand that no matter how they color this, it is STEALING.

So, all of you pathetic, pond scum sucking maggots, that think you are so smart/cool/getting away with this....just remember...WHATEVER word you call it, it's still STEALING, and WHATEVER word you use to describe yourself, you are still a THIEF.
