I want to challenge you! That’s right, I dare you, no double dare you to love your life in the whole month of February. It will be a “lovefest” for 29 days, can you dig it? Yes, I know you can. Love is one of the highest vibrations that you can have, the more you give it out, the more you will get back. It sounds so simple, so why don’t more people do it?

Start thinking now about what you love about your life. It can be anything and everything. I will pose questions for you to think about throughout the month. Single During The Holidays!

The holidays are legendary for being the saddest time of year for single people. That is news to me, because my single self has a grand old time during the holidays when I am flying solo. Are you single this holiday season? If you change your perception to see that the grass can be greener on the single side, you can have a holly jolly time all by your single self. Here are four reasons that being a Savvy and Single Auntie this holiday season rocks:

1) You get to make more play dates with your nephews and nieces. You probably have some time off and so does those cutie pie nephews and nieces. Why not make a few play dates for just the two of you so that you can spend quality time together. Take them ice skating, or to see a flick, or even a holiday play. There are so many festive things that you can do with them. While they love getting presents from you, time together is priceless.

2) You can go on the vacation getaway that you always wanted. You have been planning to get away for the longest time, but something keeps getting in your way. Instead of sitting at home with a pile of frozen dinners in your apartment, go away for the holidays. There are plenty of resources online for the solo traveler. Who knows who you will meet on your solo adventures; maybe you will meet someone to help you get your groove back. We have all seen those movies where a single woman is alone in an exotic location and out of nowhere a hot stud comes along. Who knows, it could happen to you. Book that flight!

Life Lessons from The Lion King

I recently went to The Lion King in 3D not once, but twice. It would have been wonderful to take my nephew to see it, but he lives miles way. I do have a confession to make. I cried my eyes out both times I saw it. Even though I have seen the movie more times than I can count, seeing it this time around was very different.

Here is a quick break down of the story: The Lion King is about a lion cub named Simba who will one day be king of Pride Rock. This does not sit well with his Uncle Scar, who becomes second in line to the throne the day that Simba is born. Simba is being taught how to be King by his father Mufasa when a tragedy happens. Scar murders Mufasa and lies to Simba to make him believe it is his fault. Simba runs away and through a chain of events he returns home to reclaim his throne completing the "circle of life."

Here are life lessons entertained throughout the movie that can help a Single and Savvy Auntie live a life filled with more love and happiness:

1) Give Encouragement Everyday. Most of the scenes between Mufasa and Simba feature a father encouraging his son. He tells Simba how great he will become. This lesson is something all Aunties can do. One of the best gifts that you can give your niece or nephew is encouragement. What we are told about ourselves as children stays with us forever. When you encourage the little ones as they grow, you are planting seeds of self love in them that will last forever.

Wednesday is Wild About Yourself Wednesday- Today is your day in every way, feel wild about yourself. Make your day a lovefest with you.

Thursday is Toot Your Own Horn Thursday- You rock so let everyone know why. If you don't toot your own damn horn, who else will?

I just stumbled upon this clip of Susan Lucci . I grew up watching the soap operas "All My Children"and "One Live To Live" with my mom, we got so into it my brother even watched with us. It is sad to know that these two shows have been canceled.

Why I am sharing this clip is, because it is inspirational. Susan Lucci was nominated for 19 years before she won the award for best actre ss. It got to the point that it was a running joke that she never won, it was a long running streak. Lucci is known for being one of the nicest people you will ever meet, which makes this win even sweeter. If you are working toward something, stay in it to win it. It just may take you 19 times before you accomplish what you desire, but it will be well worth the way. Stay luscious!
