My Review on Rusch Babycook And My Apple Puree Recipe!

Just tried out the Rusch Babycook to make Apple Puree for Jayla and I love it!! Aside from the fact that it looks really pretty and neat, it works really well for me!! I decided to take a short simple video and post this since some friends have been asking me about my review on it. It is so easy to prepare baby puree and so convenient as I only have to wash 1 equipment only! And it is very easy to wash as well! Yay! Efficiency is important for me as I am taking care of my baby alone and cant leave her alone for long to cook. But with this I can easily and quickly prepare her food and even my soup whenever I want to! Steam Cook Blend, All in one!

I initially thought it would be costly to get this, as I saw a few other brands which cost hundred over bucks! And to me, if i had to pay that kind of money, I would rather get the blender cooker from brands like Philips that I could use for myself too! But when I found this on Lazada Flash Sale, I knew I had to get it!! Its pretty cheap and if I would be using it for a year or 2, my money would already be wellspend! Plus its compact and pretty and to pay a little for convenience and efficiency, I would say just take my money!!! Haha!

So for those of you who are wondering, I got this at $47.70 during the flash sale! But I only paid $33.70!! $2 off Shop Voucher to offset, and $12 cash reward from Lazada! (I Love You Lazada!) What a steal!! Seriously I would regret much if I didnt get this! So glad I did!

Previously before I got this, I had to use a steamer to steam my vegetables til soft. Then transfer it to a bowl or pot and use my hand blender to blend it up. If I was using a stand blender it would have been even more troublesome cause it is more difficult to wash. Plus I had to wash the steamer and the blender and more bowls! And it takes up more space to bring out my big steamer and a blender. My kitchen tabletop space is very limited so I really dont wish to have to use too many equipments at one time. Imagine having to do this everytime I need to prepare her food! Omigosh~ The hassle~

Anyway to prepare your baby's puree, first chop up your fruit or vegetable and pop them into the steaming basket. Steaming takes 15mins and the machine switches off by itself once done so you need not worry about burning or damaging the babycooker. Then transfer it from the steaming basket into the blender compartment to blend it up and this takes only 2 mins! And Its Done! Super fast and easy!! You can choose to use this to cook every day or freeze it up like what I did!

My Apple Puree Recipe (Using Rusch Babycook)

Ingredients: 2 Fresh Apples

Steps:

1. Wash apples and peel of the skin.

2. Chop up apples into small cubes so it is easier to blend

3. Pop chopped apples into steam basket. Pour 100ml of water into steamer water compartment and turn on Rusch Babycook to steam mode. Steaming would take 15mins. Steamer will switch off once steaming is done.

4. Take steam basket out and pour out the water into a bowl.

5. Pour steamed apples back into the blender compartment and pour in as much of the water earlier as you need. Amount of water poured in would determine the consistency of your puree. If you want a thicker consistency you can choose not to put any water or just a tablespoon. If you want a more watery consistency like mine as I am feeding a 4month old baby, you may want to put in more water. Pour a little at a time and blend til desired consistency then stop. Rememeber that you can always pour more water but you cant remove any water once pour and blend in. So be carefil not to pour too much in! Do it slowly a little at a time!

6. And Your Apple Puree is Done!! Remember to make sure puree is not too hot if you are feeding right away!

Jayla doesnt eat much now and its kinda silly to make the effort to cook so little everyday. (She only eats about 1 to 2 teaspoons right now at 4months+). So it makes sense for me to prepare 1 week of puree for her and portion it out using an icetray/foodtray. Once frozen, I pop them out and store into ziplock bags and name and date them so I know when I prepared the food and wont keep it for too long! Whenever I want to feed her I would just pick out as many cube as I want to feed her with and warm it up with my food warmer! This takes about 15mins to prepare each meal as well but I need not do much. Just pop it into the food warmer, set a timer, go back to care for my baby and wait for the alarm to go off then head back to get it out and stir it up to make sure no hot spots then I am ready to feed her! Easy!

Looking forward to preparing more fresh and nutritious food for her! Yay! ♡

Highly recommend all mummies to get this or similar product to prepare your baby's food too! :)

My not so smooth and short breastfeeding journey

Everyone has been so hyped up about breastfeeding their babies and me as a first time mother was also very excited to join the bandwagon of being a breastfeeding mom. I prepared and bought both a electric breastpump as well as a manual breastpump, breastmilk storage bags, nipple cream, disposable breastpads, breastmilk storage bottles, attended a lesson on breastfeeding and did alot of reading up on how latching should be done, the different positions I can hold my baby while latching, information on how breastmilk should be stored and whatever else I need in preparation for my breastfeeding journey which I was so looking forward to.

BUT......sadly my breastfeeding journey was just not as smooth as I hoped it to be, and in fact I end up having to shorten this sweet yet painful journey.

At the hospital right after I gave birth, we tried latching my baby during our first skin to skin session but she didnt seem hungry and wanted to sleep instead. We tried again later on and she finally manage to latch on successfully for the first time. I was elated to see her suckling away til the pain kicks in. Yes PAIN! Oh my gosh! It was probably one of the worse feeling after going through a very painful labour.

But I didnt give up immediately. I persisted and endured the pain and tried swapping to my other boob and woah! It still hurts like no tomorrow. No joke! Then after I told the nurses about it and they checked me and baby out while she is latching and nothing seems wrong. She is latching correctly. So latching was not a problem. But our guess is that my baby girl is STRONG! Like her suckling power is just wayyyy too good and my nipple and boobies are just too delicate.

Nonetheless I endured on and latched her for 2 days straight with each session lasting at least an hour. And even after latching for an hour, sadly she was still hungry and crying away despite me being in so much pain. We ended up having to supplement her with formula just so she doesnt go hungry.

By then, my nipples were already soooooo SORE and was already bleeding. Oh My Gosh! Have you ever tried having someone suckling on your open wound!? It was so pain I was tearing up and had to hold the sides of the bed to endure through the extreme pain just so I can feed my baby.

After I discharged from the hospital I decided I had to give my nipples a break to heal plus it just didnt feel right to continue feeding when I was bleeding plus I had some pus coming out. Didnt want to pass on any bacteria to my girl. I had to apply nipple cream and put on breastpads to soak up the pus and blood and change it ever so often cause it was just so painful, uncomfortable and smells really bad. And I needed it to heal quickly! Took me at least 5days before I see improvement and the wound slowly drying up. I tried using my manual pump and electric pump to stimulate and pump out whatever I could just so that my supply dont stop or dry up. The first pump was a little painful and I didnt get much out. Tried the first time and second time and I do see a little milk coming but it was just way too little that I just dump them away in fear that there may be some traces of blood or pus in them. By about 3rd pump, I manage to finally get 10ml of milk from both boobs. Yes thats very little, but I was elated that I can finally see something better than nothing!! I fed it to my girl and of cause supplemented with formula milk. Following day it was slightly better, I manage to get between 20 to 30mls from both boobs! Yay! I was so happy I thought like FINALLY my supply is increasing and I am gonna be seeing more milk as the days goes by.

BUT.....Nope! I kept getting only 30ml and the supply didnt increase! Sad max!

And so I bought Fenugreek after much reading up, and thats what my postnatal masseur recommended. I also added on with the Milkmaid tea just so I could boost my supply further.

After consumption, Yay my supplied boosted to about close to 50ml from both boobs! I was so happy! But then, my happiness was shorten again. Cause the next day my supply dropped back to 30ml again and was stagnant once again. Sulks!~

Thereafter I bought a bag of lactation cookies from Singapore Lactation Bakes. Honestly I wasnt a huge fan of the cookies as they were not sweet enough for my liking and I didnt quite like the texture but I still ate it anyway in hope it might actually help. But sadly it didnt really work for me.

I tried relatching my baby as people mentioned that a baby's latch works much better at stimulating supply compared to the breastpump and so I did. And guess what?

The pain and sore came back again! Thats it, No more latching for me and so I decided I was gonna be pumping exclusively.

But honestly the amount I pumped was just insufficient for my very hungry baby and I couldnt meet her demands at all. I was just so down and it makes me wonder if that pathetic amount was even worth my precious time spend pumping.

Gradually I just gave up, my pump frequency decrease and I just rather spend the time watching my baby and catching up on my much needed rest.

Yes some of you may ask why did I give up just like that? In fact I get this question alot by both friends as well as relatives. And it hurts me inside to hear such questions cause they dont know how much I went through, the pain, insufficient sleep, and how many methods I have tried just so that I can be able to even pump that pathetic amount of breastmilk for my baby. Like HELLO? Who doesnt want to be able to breastfeed their little one if they can?!

BUT I have to face it, my body just isnt build to be a milking machine. My boobs just dont supply much milk, and I just had to accept it.

It could be my diet all along that could be the cause. People say that I should eat more fish but I just dont really enjoy eating fish unless its sashimi. Since young I dont eat alot of fish and that could potentially be one of the causes.

Regardless, my breastfeeding officially stopped when my baby was about 2months plus after I was unfortunately down with appendicitis and was warded and had to go through a keyhole surgery to remove my appendix. I was on so much painkillers and antibiotics during that period that I just decided no more breastfeeding for me.

Yes its sad, but I was also happier to get more rest and spend more quality time with my baby rather than spending time pumping that little amount of milk.

Yes I know breastmilk is good for my baby as it provides antibodies for her rather than just drinking formula milk. And I am glad I was able to at least be able to provide her a little of it at least rather than totally not breastfeeding at all. And with that thought alone I feel more at peace with myself.

But really, formula milk is honestly fine as well. It is packed with the required nutrients that she require and she is thankfully growing really well and so I am very happy and feeling blessed! Truly Thank God for that!

And my baby girl is also blessed with more breastmilk supplied from a very nice friend of mine who gave birth to her baby boy 2 months after me. And I am truly grateful for that! Thank you so much Sheryl!

So that pretty much sums up my breastfeeding journey. Not the best journey but still a sweet memory for me. =)

I did not have any issues with engorgement or mastitis which I know many mummies went through. And in a way I am really very thankful cause I heard its wayyyy more painful and the worse is having to go through surgery to get their milk ducts unblocked! Just the thought of it seems scary so I salute breastfeeding mummies who have to got through that.

To all mummies out there, EVERYONE is DIFFERENT! Dont compare with others and make yourself feel bad! Dont feel depress or upset that you are unable to have enough supply of breastmilk for your baby. It is honestly very fine! Many babies including myself are formula fed babies from birth and we all grew up well and healthy. Dont be overly concerned or overly obsessed with having to breastfeed. If you have it, Great! BUT if you dont, thats fine too! Most importantly DONT let your babies go hungry!! If your supply is little, just feed formula! Its definitely better than starving your little one!

I have friends who go into Post Natal Depression partly due to not being able to supply enough breastmilk for her baby and some people around her are just pressuring her and giving her more stress about it. Honestly a stressed up mommy is not gonna be supplying more milk as stress affects the body and the supply. Plus it was bad for her health and it made me worried as PND can be pretty scary! I've heard of some bad cases of PND where mummies committed suicide or even killing their own child because they just couldnt handle it. And I really dont wish for such things to happen to anyone especially people I personally know!

Stay positive, stay happy, take things in its stride. Its not the end of the world to not be able to breastfeed! Remember you have a healthy baby and thats what matters much more than being able to breastfeed or not!

For people who are PRO-breastfeeders, for relatives, or friends of new mummies, PLEASE stop asking or pressuring mummies on why they are not breastfeeding. Its is our choice and it could be personal choices or it could be choices we have to make because of certain unforeseen reasons, and you as an outsider should just respect that. It DOES NOT affect you that we are not breastfeeding. So honestly just keep your opinions to yourselves. We dont need to hear it cause we have other important things to think and worry about with our new baby that we are still learning to take care and handle. So please dont add on to our stress. Thank you very much!

Diary of my first Pregnancy Part 5 - Early Signs of Pregnancy & Part and Parcel of my Pregnancy Journey

Suspect that you might be pregnant? You might just be right!

Here's my personal experience to share with all of you!

Thought I will experience morning sickness or nausea (which doesn't only happen in the morning, but can also actually happen in the afternoon and night!), or feel queasy and may end up vomiting all day long which is usually what MOST pregnant mummies experience during their first trimester and also what some of my personal friends experienced and end up going to the hospital frequently to be on drips due to dehydration. But NOPE! I did not experience it at all throughout my entire pregnancy! (Truly Thank God!!)

In fact, I did not have any tell tale signs of early pregnancy at all! I was even hitting the gyms, going for sauna and Jacuzzi sessions, exercising a whole lots and running all over the place when I was apparently pregnant but didn't know about it til I was about 8weeks pregnant! So thankfully my baby was fine despite me exercising so much and over exerting myself, jumping around alot and even being in the hot water jacuzzi and sauna which was apparently very bad for the fetus and might even endanger it!

I was also driving for long hours as a UBER driver for about 2months til I found out I was pregnant and my parents told me to stop driving to be safe!

I just had an instinct somehow that I might just be pregnant and so I got a pregnancy test kit and got myself tested before I headed to Korea for my holiday! And was pleasantly surprised that I was right!

Women's instinct and sixth sense are very accurate! Trust them!

Adding on, here are what I experienced and the changes I had with my body during my pregnancy.

1) Sciatica. It refers to back pain caused by a problem with the sciatic nerve. This is a large nerve that runs from the lower back down the back of each leg. When something injures or puts pressure on the sciatic nerve, it can cause pain in the lower back that spreads to the hip, buttocks, and leg. So apparently my growing baby bump was pressing onto my sciatic nerve and I suffered really really bad backaches as well as pain on my left hip, buttocks and leg. Like seriously, extremely pain! It was so painful I had problem walking, getting out of bed and even turning in bed! There was one night it was soooo painful I ended up crying as I wanted to go to the toilet badly but couldnt get out of bed because it was just too painful and I almost pee on myself! Had to get my hubby to help me up! At times I had to get my hubby to help massage my back and hip, and every single spot he press or rub against is aching! No joke!

2) Bad skin. And I really mean VERY BAD skin. I had major acne outbreaks ALL OVER my face and body! My neck, chest, back, boobs, face, everywhere~ My gosh! Its was worse than my puberty period! My hormones were just going crazy!! People told me it would probably just last through my first trimester and thereafter my skin would be beautiful and glowing. And I tell you, Its NOT true! At least its not true for me! I do know some expectant mummies have really nice glowing beautiful skin during their pregnancy. Lucky them. But it was the case for me. I had outbreaks throughout my entire pregnancy til after my confinement! It was a period of my life where I probably took the least amount of photos because my skin was just really bad. Acne, dark pigmentation, dull skin. My gosh. I don't even want to think back about it! Its a total nightmare! And there is just NO cure for it! I tried all sorts of facial skin care products and none worked! I ended up just giving up and stopped applying anything as I feel like I am wasting my skincare products and I even felt like normal water and cleanser was actually better than smacking on any skincare products at all! I couldnt even take any medication for my hormones to help with the acne as it would not be good for my baby and so I just had to endure through it all and relied heavily on make up if I have to go out and photoshop or photo editing apps just so I dont look too scary!

3) Lethargy. Feel tired everyday, all day. Especially during my first trimester and later part of my third trimester. Just keep wanting to sleep! I was sleeping close to 12 hours everyday! On certain days I even had to take naps.

4) Bad memory. Or what some people refer to as Pregnancy Brain! Like seriously, it felt like we were passing on toooo much of our own brain cells to our babies which cause us to be really forgetful or become a little silly! No joke! I felt a little stupid/silly during my pregnancy cause I kept forgetting things, brain just couldn't process certain simple information and it will take me awhile to understand things. AND this didn't just happen to me. Cause it seems my husband was going through the same when I was pregnant! Like seriously I felt like punching him at times! Haha!

5) Insomnia. Had trouble getting to sleep at times despite feeling tired and it makes me feel super frustrated!! I would toss and turn in bed a lot trying to find the right or most comfortable position to sleep cause of the baby bump and body aches. Plus every little sound would disturb my sleep real bad, and this causes me to quarrel with my hubby as he would snore and grind his teeth at night and it was really affecting me and my sleep really badly. He ended up having to sleep on the floor with a mattress just so that he would not snore right next to my ears and not kick me and also its for me to be able to move around a lot more in bed to find a comfortable position to sleep! (Thanks hubby for the sacrifices you made just to make me feel more comfortable and have better sleep)

6) Frequent urination. Like really VERY frequently. I had problems holding my bladder especially if I was coughing or sneeze, my pee might just escape from my bladder involuntarily and I really hated it! I had to keep waking up in the middle of the night to go pee as well and it really disturbed my quality of sleep. Even when we are out shopping I would go to pee at least 5 times in a short span of 2hours. It was really a pain in the ass! Reason for this was because my growing womb was pressing on my bladder! And you can really feel it! Especially after 20weeks, you can literally feel your little one inside kicking you and at times when they kick near your bladder you can feel like your bladder was gonna burst and you need to go pee immediately! Legit!

7) Food Cravings. My husband was so thankful I didn't have much food cravings throughout my pregnancy. Only occasional ones, plus the food I craved were manageable and can be easily found! Lucky him! Haha! Also my food cravings were not so severe that I needed to have the food immediately. So far I could wait like a few days to have it satisfied. There was just this one night where I suddenly craved yoghurt and was in a bad mood and showing tantrum at home because of it and my husband had to quickly rush out to the nearest supermarket to get them for me. Just ONCE!

8) Edema / Swollen Feet. Normal swelling, which is also called edema, is experienced in the hands, face, legs, ankles, and feet. This extra retention of fluid is needed to soften the body, which enables it to expand as the baby develops. Extra fluid also helps prepare the pelvic joints and tissues to open for delivery. Thankfully I only experience this towards the last stage of my pregnancy. My feets, ankle, legs, face and even my hands were swollen due to the water retention for a couple of days. Especially when I dont drink enough water, stand too long, sit too long, and dont get enough rest. Some friends taught me to drink red bean water and it really helped with the water retention problem! After the 2nd or 3rd day the swelling really subsided! Its really simple to prepare! Simply buy some red beans from the grocery store or supermarts. Boil some water and pour into a thermal flask and put in about 2 tablespoons of red beans and leave it for half an hour. Do not shake as it will cause the water to be really cloudy and murky. Simply drink it straight from the thermal flask or pour the water out into a cup and just drink the water. Red bean is known to help with water retention and I understand that some actresses drinks this quite frequently to prevent water retention and swollen faces. Hope it works for you too!

Other then the above mentioned, I was still living my life normally, going out with friends, went traveling to Korea, Penang and JB, was still jumping around and walking around ALOT. Eating normally most of the time, except til I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and had to control my diet and sugar intake. Only food I had to avoid were seafood such as crab and shellfishes, raw food, halfboiled eggs, anything with scrimps in them. Although I still cheated a few times and had a piece or two of sashimi and halfboiled eggs.

Also during my last stage of pregnancy I had a coconut every week as people mentioned to me that it would be good for my baby and that they would come out cleaner at birth, and so I had it and I guess I might have to agree with them on that! My baby indeed came out nice and clean and the midwives just had to clean up the blood a little and she was already nice and clean and ready for me to carry!

I hope the above information would be helpful and insightful for new first time expectant mummies who have no clue what to expect and who might happen to chance upon my blog and be reading this! It can be quite stressful when you dont know what to expect and feeling fearful when you experience certain changes with your body. But rest assured that you are fine!! Every mothers go through a different pregnancy experience. And every pregnancy is different even for the same mother! So dont be too surprise if you dont have the same experience as I do, or dont have the same experience as what your friends, siblings or relatives may have. Listen to your own body. If you feel unsure about anything, try to google your symptoms or ask around. You dont have to trust or listen to every advice or information you hear or find. Ultimately, you may also call in or check in with your gynae to be sure.

If you find any bleeding or extreme pain that are out of the norm, PLEASE go to the hospital to have yourself checked! Cause that would obviously not be a good sign!

Meanwhile, I wish all you expectant mummies a smooth pregnancy and delivery!! And Congratulations! Welcome to motherhood!

DIY Newborn Baby Photoshoot

DIY Newborn Photoshoot done at home when Baby J is 1week old, by me and the help of my brother! Wasn't easy getting her into position initially as she was awake and started fussing. We ended up having to take a break midway to feed her. And only after feeding her did she finally doze off into deep sleep and it was so much easier thereafter to put her into some of the positions! Plus the fact that she was still so little and fragile and I wasnt very experience with handling such a little baby and I was obviously scared as well and so I was extra careful and it took me abit more time to put her into position and changing her into the outifts. Plus with my wound pains, it was a little difficult for me to move around and bend down or squat down. But it was really fun and nice seeing her look so cute and I am so please with how these photos turned out! ♡

Again like my DIY maternity photoshoot, I saved money from having to send her for professional newborn photoshoots. Plus I could do it at the convenience of my own house and at my own time and pace without having to travel out to studios and I could get the photos immediately! Just simply use her new, cute and pretty clothings and accessories, look for some basket, stuffed toys, clean fur mats or cloth, and you could also get some props or photoshoot accessories such as the tutu skirt and angel wings that I bought cheap from Shopee!

Just require a decent camera, with natural daylight and you are good to go!

Not boasting or showing off, but I personally feel these photos are pretty decent and it'll be wonderful keepsakes for memories! I'm sure you can do it too!

Arrival of our little precious ♡

Our little precious finally came into this world and joined our little family on 3 Dec 2018!

Exactly on my EDD (Estimated Delivery Date) at exactly 40weeks full term! From the time my waterbag burst, took 1 hour in total to bath, eat my breakfast and prepared my stuff and went down to the hospital delivery ward and after approx 5hours+ in the delivery suite, with only laughing gas, via natural and with vacuum assist, and soooooooo much pain, she finally popped!

6.00am - Waterbag burst

6.40am - My In-laws came by to pick us up to send us to the hospital

7.12am - Arrival at the hospital delivery ward

7.41am - Blood drawn and plug inserted

9.30am - Ate breakfast served by the hospital but appetite aint really good by now as minor contractions has began

10.30am - The doctor finally came by to check on me and my dilation. 1cm dilated. Started on the laughing gas. I must say that the cervix check hurts sooooo much!!

11.30am - Contractions for the pass 1 hour has been really bad at every 1 to 2 minutes. Already in so much pain I am pushing involuntarily even though I am still not 10cm dilated. Baby found to have unstable heartbeat by now as it is feeling distress. Doctors asking if I want Epidural which I rejected as I have always been brainwashing myself to not take any epidural. By now only 2 to 3cm dilated. End up the doctors advise to administer some medication/drug to calm me down and ease the contractions in hope that I can relax and rest a little to that my baby wont be in distress. But the effect only worked for 10mins and I was back in contractions and pain again. Some doctors were discussing if they should push me in to have a caesarean delivery instead but thankfully 1 of the doctors was against the idea and decided to let me wait and try to hold out a little more.

12.05pm - I am screaming so badly by now that all the nurses, doctors, midwives from outside my ward came in to check on me. More and more hands went in to me to check on my cervix and dilation and trying to push baby's head back in as I was still pushing. It was so painful I thought I was gonna die.

12.20pm - Doctors decide its time to try to start pushing. Screamed my lungs out and was teased about it as I was screaming into the laughing gas which was silly since I was wasting energy instead. Finally a midwife taught me the proper way of pushing and after several push they decided to snip me to open up abit more and that I require vacuum assistance as I just couldn't push her out and they were worried that she might be in danger due to the distress and unstable heartbeat.

12.37pm - My precious finally popped! Hooray!

First question I asked after she popped, "Is she ok?"

Second thing I said right after she popped (while crying), "No more number 2. I dont want already!"

Blood drawn, plug inserted and waiting in the delivery ward for my contractions and labour to start!

On laughing gas and getting myself high to hopefully relieve myself from the pain!

Thank God for her smooth and relatively fast delivery~ Else I dont know how I was gonna survive all that pain for any longer! And I must really Thank God for bringing her into this world smoothly, safely and healthily!

Sincere thanks also to the doctors, nurses and midwives at KK Women's and Children's Hospital for making sure I was well and my baby was well and taken care of and for the wonderful stay and hospitality! IF I ever have my 2nd baby, I will definitely go back to KK Hospital!

I must say, labour pain is really just out of this world and I don't know if I will ever have the courage to go through it another time. But for now at least I am glad its over and I must say all the pain experienced over the 9months of pregnancy + the labour pain felt so worth it when I finally get to see her and hold her in my arms and especially when I heard her first cry! She is just the cutest and sweetest little one and I still cant believe she came out of me!

Now, the real journey begins with our new upgraded status as new parents, to many sleepless nights, sore boobs, and much smiles, love and happiness to fill our hearts~

Our family, life and hearts are contented, complete, and so full right now~ ♡

Diary of my first pregnancy Part 4 - DIY Maternity Photoshoot and Milkbath Maternity Photoshoot

Did a simple DIY Self-taken at home photoshoot and Milkbath photoshoot today at 36weeks6days! Happy with how the photos turned out! Saved some bucks and still manage to have some keepsake photos for memories! Its really easy and I would recommend you try it out too if you are on a budget and would like to save some money to spend on your baby instead!

I have a bathtub at home so decided to make full use of it because why not?!

If you dont have a bathtub that's fine too! I've seen some other mummies book a staycation at a hotel or resort that offers a bathtub and did their milkbath maternity photoshoot there as well! And you can relax and enjoy yourself before the baby pops out too!

Just have to buy some flowers (of your choice) which were really cheap! You dont have to go to the florist to get them as it is usually more overpriced. Just simply pop by the supermarkets such as Cold storage or NTUC to get the fresh flowers! Do some simple trimmings and you are good to go! And you can just get milk powder or even coffee creamer to create the milkbath! I wear my own clothes and accessories as well! Just need a camera with a timer mode or hand gesture function with a tripod and you are ready to snap snap snap!!

Diary of my first pregnancy Part 3 - Feeling Swollen & First CTG

21oct2018 ; Feeling so swollen~ My feet and ankles started swelling and my hands are starting to swell up a little today as well! And I realized I gained 1kg in 4 days!! Likely due to this swelling~ Edema / Water Retention is making me feel so depressed! I'm aching everywhere, my body feels so heavy and my skin feels so tight and I look soooooo fat and swollen!

22oct2018 ; 34weeks! how time flies~ tummy feels huge and tight now, feeling swollen everywhere, and too heavy to walk for long now. Even being on the train I'm given so much priority cause all the kind folks are so eager to give up their seats to me the moment they see me board. Feels so embarrassed cause at times I only had to take 1 or 2 stops to reach my destination and so I rejected them all~ Thanks to all those kind souls anyway~

18oct2018, First batch of clothes washing began!

Bought Milk bottles and Orthodontic soother (Pacifier) from NUK cause they come in Hello Kitty Prints! Just tooo cute to resist! On top of that, a relative had recommended this brand as she said the teats are good! Hopefully baby would love it!

And my sweet mother-in-law bought the Ergobaby Omni 360 Baby carrier in the sweet pink Hello Kitty prints for me! Yay! Toooooo pretty! Can't wait to use it!

First CTG(Cardiotocography) done today cause baby's heartheat was a little too fast so Gynae wanted to make sure its nothing to be alarmed about~ Thankfully results turn out alright~ Half hour lying down listening to Baby's heartbeat~ quite therapeutic~

Thanks to all my friends and relatives for passing me some of your baby's clothings which are still in very good or even new conditions! And also thanks to my mum and mother-in-law for getting baby stuff and clothes for Baby J! Also thanks to my neighbour for giving us a brand new baby stroller and baby bath tub, and another neighbour for blessing us with a good condition Recaro baby stroller! Feeling so blessed!

24aug2018, My 25weeks baby bump!

18sep2018, My 29 weeks bump! entering 3rd trimester~ getting heavier and baby J is kicking more and more vigorously~

Did the OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) & GD (Gestational Diabetes) test at 29weeks pregnant on 18sep2018, and I was sooooo scared as I had to fast overnight and draw 3 times of blood at every 1 hour interval~ And I must say, the bottle of Glucose drink that we were forced to finish up after the first blood draw was just plain disgusting! It was soooooo gross I almost puked it out halfway through and was really struggling to finish it. I was told I cannot vomit it out if not I will have to repeat the whole test all over again and I really do not wish to do that! Trust me I have a sweet tooth and never thought that I would taste something so sweet and so bad it makes me want to vomit ever! I was pretty confident I would not have an issue drinking it since I love sweet drinks such as redbull! But really this is legit disgusting!

18sep2018 at 29weeks 2 days! These were taken when you were sleeping in my tummy~ Even your sleeping position is just like mummy with hands clapped together on the side of your head! Too cute! Grandma says you have big feets! Just like mummy too~ Weighing at 1.43kgs now~ You are growing well with your size in the 50th percentile~

Anyway, on the 19sep2018, one day after the test, I received a phone call from the hospital to tell me about my results and I was devastated. I failed he OGTT and was officially diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. Sigh!

On 24sep2018, I went for a one day program to see a dietitian to educate me on Gestational Diabetes and how I should manage my diet to control my blood sugar and sugar intake to ensure that my baby would not be overweight or have any health issues. I also had to undergo more blood draws and was taught how to prick my finger to test my blood sugar using the Blood Glucose Monitoring Device. 7 pricks a day!! 1 first thing when i wake up before I have breakfast, 1 at 2hours after breakfast, 1 before lunch, 1 at 2hours after lunch, 1 before dinner, 1 2 hours after dinner and 1 before I go to sleep. I had to spread out my meals into 5 different meals (Breakfast, tea break, lunch, teabreak, dinner, supper) and have smaller portions per meal.

Gosh it was really difficult!! I had to monitor the timing and ensure I have my meals on time, prick my finger to test my blood sugar on time and couldnt eat too much at one meal and force myself to have more meals just so that my blood sugar test would be more accurate. And every session to prick was a session I dreaded! People tell me it would get better after each prick and that I would not feel pain after a few times. But they LIED! The pain did not go away or become lesser. I still felt pain everytime I prick myself an in fact I felt that it gets more pain after every prick, especially when I had to prick the same finger again during the day.

The first time I pricked myself! (Previous prick was done by the nurse as I didnt dare to do it initially.)

It's official! I'm gonna be a MUMMY!

First scan and first sonogram/photo of you at 8weeks on 24April2018!

Anticipated for your arrival for awhile but you came when I least expected! Especially at a time when I happen to be out of a job! (Why you don't let mummy enjoy her maternity leave benefits!~)

8April2018 First pregnancy test kit tested positive!

9April2018 Wasn't convinced by my 1st test result and ended up buying another kit to test. 2nd test came out positive again~ Pretty much convinced by then~

But I must say its a blessing that you finally came into our lives and a blessing in disguise cause I get to rest more during this tiring pregnancy period~

Truly an amazing experience to be able to feel you punching, kicking, turning, dancing and who knows what else goes on in there~

23May2018, 12weeks! Already pretty much formed up at 6.7cm~ The little one even raise up a fist! So amazing to see my little one wiggling, stretching and moving around so actively during the scan~ ♡

22June2018, 16weeks pregnant and I can finally see a little baby bump!

17july2018 before heading out to my gynae appointment decide to take a bump update photo! 20weeks into my pregnancy and baby is about the size of a banana right now~ friends commented that they can finally see my baby bump although still considered small~

17july2018 Finally got to know baby's gender at my 20weeks scan! It's a GIRL! Both hubs and I are very happy and excited as we have always wanted a baby girl! ♡

Honestly I am having a lot of mix feeling throughout this pregnancy. From excitement, anticipation and happiness to fear, and anxiousness~

Its truly a stressful period for us considering only daddy is working to support us. Its also a period where I feel a lot of backaches and all sort of pain I don't experience before pregnancy and also a time in my life where I have the most number of needles poked (vaccinations and blood draws) into my body within this short period of time! (And I'm truly amazed with myself for going thru them bravely without any tears despite being extremely afraid of needles! I swear I never fail to cry when I go thru them before this pregnancy!)

I also fear I wont do a good job as a mother as I don't even think I am taking very good care of myself much less to take care of another little one.

But on the other hand, I cant wait for you to pop out of my tummy and hear your first cry~ Cant wait to hold you in my arms and dress u up in pretty clothes! Cant wait to experience a life of a complete little family of my own, and watching you grow up to be an awesome person! Cant wait to do all the things I have envisioned us to do together to create our very own beautiful memories and experience~

Praying hard that you will be delivered smoothly and arrive on earth safely and healthily to breathe your first breath of air!

To my other half and soon-to-be-daddy, thanks for helping out with most of the household chores especially the mopping and vacuuming of floor since I cant really do them due to my severe backaches and leg pains. Thanks for always trying to fulfill my cravings and taking care of me during this period of time. And I am truly thankful to you for being so supportive and working hard to support our home and family during this period of my unemployment~ Love you lots!

To my little one, Mummy loves you and promise to try my best to be an awesome mother to you and give you the best that I can within my means~

Yuriko's Indulgence - Homemade Nyonya Kaya

As per requested by my friends, sharing my recipe for Homemade Nyonya Kaya! Super yummy, just the way I like it! Its a healthier choice as there is no artificial coloring or preservatives in these! You can also adjust the sweetness as to your preference! Its easy to make as well with just 4 ingredients!

In case you are not local and have no idea what is Kaya, it is essentially a coconut egg jam, and is usually eaten as a spread over a slice of bread, biscuit or bun, and sometimes used as a cake or pastry filling or topping. 'Kaya' is a Malay word meaning 'Rich', and you will understand why it is name as such once you have tried it! The texture of Kaya is smooth and creamy and has a really rich taste! It is sweet and fragrant as it is primarily made with coconut milk, eggs, flavoured with pandan leaves and sweeten with sugar.

There are 2 types of Kaya. The 'Nyonya Kaya' and the 'Hainanese Kaya'. Nyonya Kaya is light green in color due to the pandan leaves while the Hainanese Kaya is darker brown as it uses caramalized sugar and is sweetened with honey. My recipe below is for Nyonya Kaya.

This recipe makes about 750ml of Kaya. If you would like to make more or less just adjust all ingredients in relative proportions! =)

Ingredients

5 Eggs
230ml Coconut Milk/Cream (You can get these from supermarket or use freshly grated coconuts for more fragrance)
180g Sugar (You may adjust this base on your sweetness preference. I personally have sweet tooth so this may be a little too sweet for some of you)
30ml pandan juice* or 1/2 tsp pandan essence or pandan paste (You may add more or less depending on the shade of green you prefer your Kaya to be.)

* To made pandan juice, prepare 5 pandan leaves and 3tbsp of water

Instructions

1. Blend or pulverize pandan leaves with water in food processor or blender until as fine as possible. strain the mixture by pressing it with back of a metal spoon to obtain pandan juice. Measure out 30ml of pandan juice. (leftover juie can be keot well in airtight container for up to 5 days, refrigerated)

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar and whisk by hand for about 2 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Add coconut milk/cream and pandan juice and stir well to mix thoroughly. Strain the mixture into a small pot that can sit inside a bigger pot or a bain marie as a double boiling method is required for cooking.

3. Set up bain marie / double boiler by carefully pouring water into the bigger pot until water comes up to the sides of the small pot. (Make sure the water does not overflows into the small pot containing your mixture!)

4. Bring the water in the bigger pot to a gentle boil or simmer over medium fire, stirring the mixture continuously. (You may want to bring a high chair, which I did, into the kitchen in front of your stove to sit there and stir til mixture is ready. I dont enjoy standing for long as I would get the dizzy spells) As the mixture cooks, it will thicken and become sticky. Keep stirring until Kaya is at desired consistency, then turn off the fire and set to cool.

5. Optional: Use a handblender to blend mixture for a smooth lumpfree texture, or simply pour into a food processor or blender to blend until desired smoothness. (You may skip this step if you are fine with having a slightly lumpy texture)

6. Set aside to cool completely. Once cool, store in an air tight container and refrigerate!

To note: If fire to too big, the mixture will cook too quickly causing the mixture to turn out very lumpy. Make sure to keep stirring!

Travelogue; Hokkaido Japan ; Day 1

Been wanting to go to Japan for the longest of time! After much delay, I finally booked my tickets to Hokkaido Japan. As Japan has a lot of beautiful places to explore and we only had that much time due to insufficient Annual Leave, thus we decided to fully dedicate our 7 days trip to Hokkaido only. Shall plan another trip (hopefully soon!) to Tokyo, Osaka and other parts of Japan next time!

Our trip lasted from 1st til 8th of May 2017 which falls during the season of Spring where the country is ablaze with beautiful white and pink cherry blossom! I'm sure you can imagine how excited I was to fly there! Its 1 of the best time of the year to go to Japan!

So we flew off on the night of 1st of May from Singapore Changi Airport and did a transit at Bangkok before finally flying to Sapporo Chitose Airport.

A must have everytime we are at Bangkok even if we were just there for a short transit! Its none other than my favourite Mango Sticky Rice!

Upon arrival on the 2nd of May 2017, first thing we saw when we headed out was this cute Doraemon! We just had to stop to take a photo with it to mark our safe arrival!

After which without wasting much time, we started shopping at the airport itself and had our lunch at the Doraemon Cafe.

I'm a collector of these copper pressed penny / coins souvenirs and so I just had to get it! Its so cute! Pikachu! I Choose You!

My first bag of shopping loots in Japan! I truly love Hello Kitty! And Japan happens to be a land of Hello Kitty! They are everywhere! Making me a really happy girl here! Hehe! I wish I can buy everything and bring it all home! But its honestly quite pricey, and my other half kept complaining nonstop so I had to control myself from buying too much in case I couldnt carry them home! =p

Tried out the Doraemon toy catchers! And we didnt leave empty handed!

After lunch, we took the JR to Hakodate and checked into Hotel Route Inn Grantia Hakodate Ekimae. Washed up and prepared and took a bus out to Mount Hakodate for the spendid night view!

Isnt it beautiful~ This photo didnt give it enough justice though~ The view in reality is so much more awesome than this! But I must say we were pretty under-dressed for the cold weather! Despite bringing alot hand warmers, it was still way too cold to be standing out here for long~ So we ended up going indoors to do some shopping as well as to enjoy the super yummy icecream!

No joke! This is the best ice cream I ever had! And definitely the best we had throughout our entire trip despite eating so many icecreams~ The cream is just sooooo fragrant and rich, paired with the super yummy biscuit cone that was really good too!

Finally we ended our day with dinner at Lucky Pierrot before heading back to Hotel to rest.

Ji Chang Wook 지창욱 10th Debut Anniversary Concert [Jiscovery History Concert 2017.07.22] and Fan meeting at Olympic Hall at Olympic Park Seoul ♡

Impromptu Weekend Trip from 21 July to 23 July 2017 to South Korea, Seoul, with a new friend I got to know through JCW SG Facebook fanpage! Booked the trip 2 weeks before and flew right away after meeting up for once to discuss the itinerary! Overall the trip is really short since our purpose was for the concert, but its an awesome trip as we still manage to do some shopping, eat yummy Korean food and streetfood, and most importantly we got to see our favourite Oppa 오빠 in person rather than through the TV/Laptop/MobilePhone screen! Its an experience I wont forget and I wont hesitate to do this again! Through this I am really glad to know a new friend who shares alot of common traits and common interest as me! Thanks for accompanying me on this trip!

Was looking for a water base face spray to refresh myself and freshen and moisten my face during the day and chance upon the Bioderma Sensibio Range thanks to an invite from Samplestore to try out their new range of products!

Took the Bioderma Sensibio Dermatological Water out with me and spray it on during my day out. Felt super refreshing and SHIOK~ Love that it does not leave any sticky feeling at all and simply gets absorbed into my face with a few light pats~

I tried out the Bioderma Sensibio H2O after a day out to remove my make up~ I had lipstick, concealer, BB cream, compact powder and blusher on, and drawn my eyebrows. Removed half face make up to see its efficiency, and manage to clean up all of the make up with zero residual left with just 2 piece of cotton pads soaked with the solution. Awesomeness! On top of that, it does not leave any sticky oily feeling at all, and my skin feels really soft and comfortable unlike some other make up removers of the same nature.

Finally after a 3 years long wait!! Keys collected on 5th November 2016!

CPF and Bank Account gonna start bleeding like no tomorrow~ Slaves to our new home~ Gotta work harder le~ Gambatte!

Seems so surreal when I stepped into my new place! Cant believe its really happening and this is a place I am gonna live in real soon!~ Happy and very excited to fill this place with beautiful memories, happiness, laughters and lots of warmth! Looking forward to the renovation process and cant wait to move in here soon!

Did a simple Door Opening Ritual when we first went to open the door.

Here's what we did:

1) Mix up a bowl of Rice, Salt, Tie Guan Yin Tea Leaves and Green Beans.

2) Scatter Item (1) at the entrance of the door

3) Knock on door 3 times, and say some auspicious words and open the Door (Dont step in yet)(At least Shout HUAT AH if you dont know what to say or like me I forgotten cause I was to excited to know what to say)

4) Scatter Item (1) into the house.

5) Roll the pineapple into the house from the entrance of the door (Bowling style) while continuously say auspicious words or simply shout HUAT AH! Preferably for it to land in the middle of your living room / house.

6) Step in and continue rolling the pineapple around the round and also scatter Item (1) at all corners of the house (Walk around in clockwise around the house)

7) Pour some water into a container layed with cotton wool / pads, scatter green beans and let it grow!

8) Done with ritual! Now to commence Defect Checks!

* Advice - Try to only do the door opening ritual with your immediate family. Dont invite outsider for this.

* Items can be cleared after 3 days. Pineapple to throw or eaten by self. Do not give to others.

* Greenbeans grows very quickly, within a day it should sprout. If your green beans dont sprout move it to somewhere with more sunglight and put more water. After 1 week, it can be removed.

We had submitted a long list of defects for rectification. Hopefully the rectification works would be completed soon so my contractor can start commencing our renovation works soon!

On Monday, our Team Valor headed out for dinner after work to celebrate Mel's Birthday in advanced! Went to Goro Goro Steamboat & Korean Buffet located at Orchard Gateway @ Emerald.
Chose 3 soup base, namely Collagen, Mala & Bak Kut Teh. Must say that the Mala is just so-so. The best one would be the Collagen soup! The food selection was not bad although the Tteokbokki was not up to my expectations. Kimchi was good and the shabu shabu is good too! We had alot of Enokitake, all our soup were filled with it, which was awesome since all of us love it!

On top of that the service is pretty good and they even provided table to table phototaking with props! Just nice for us to take an awesome group photo together! =)

Dinner was awesome, as usual keep laughing til all of us were full from the laughters. Alot of ranting throughout the night as well! Despite it being a Monday and everyone was having Monday blues, glad we have this dinner to perk up our day! Fantastic team of people indeed! =)

Earlier in the day in office we had an advanced Birthday celebration for her as well!

Anyway Happy Birthday again to my dear girl Melmel~ ♡

Crazy Fun KTV Night!

Its been a super duper hectic week at work! Back to back meetings and interviews, tight datelines to meet, and adhoc stuff to handle~ 天啊~ Tired die me~ Headache max~ Shagged out! Cant wait for this 2 weeks of forecast and budgetting to end~

Thank goodness I have very supportive and awesome colleagues at work and really glad I can call them my friends and buddies! Really blessed that this group of us share a close and strong bond and are there for each other in good times and bad times making sure neither of us collapses as there is always someone to reach out to help and support each other!

Such colleagues turn friends are not very common and thus I'm cherishing this friendship alot!

Anyway we have had a couple of other gatherings and dinner outings prior to this KTV session~ Will back-post them real soon!

As I had to attend to some family matters, I took leave yesterday and met them at night after their work at Marina Square! Went for a yummy and fulfiling dinner at Emporium Shokuhin. Had a nice hot bowl of Ramen since the weather is cold and we needed to calm our nerves after the hectic week! Dinner was filled with laughters as always and the whole restaurant was probably filled with out voices and laughters which I do apologize to the other patrons there for disturbing their supposedly peaceful dinner. But we simply couldnt contain ourselves! Haha~

After dinner, we headed straight up to Manekineko for our long awaited KTV sessions to sing our lungs out! Again it was filled with soooo much laughters that my jaw locked for a while and was hurting like hell but I was still laughing and singing despite the pain! Took many photos, some videos, and sang nonstop til 3am before we decided to call it a night and head home to have our much need sleep to recharge for the weekend!

Halloween Horror Night 6 at Universal Studio Singapore (USS)

Scare Die Me!

Told myself 4 years ago after I went for the Halloween Horror Night 2 event that I am never gonna attend such events ever again, but somehow this year I decided to go for it again when my neighbours asked me along. Thought I may be braver now, but right after the 1st haunted house and scare zone, I immediately regret going! Plus this year, I even paid more to get the express passes to scare myself faster. -.-"

As much as I hate the queue, I honestly thought for that moment that I need a breather to calm my nerves before heading into the next haunted house and scare zone! Really scare die me sia! I was soooooo scare I honestly think i wasted money paying so much to torturing and scaring myself! Plus I ended up not seeing much since half the time my eyes was closed or my stuck my head on my hub's back and walk right through! Or I only peeped through my hair which I used to cover my face, or watch the ground to make sure I dont trip! Hahaha!!

But I did see some, and I must say that some or most of their make up and costumes are really realistic and well done! Scared the shit out of me!

Some of the staff were nice enough to see that I am really very scare so they didnt try to scare me further. Some intentionally came over to scare me further, while some simply try to be funny, and whispered to me ear "Boo!".

Well I would say my friends did enjoy the event, I enjoyed the photo taking portions as well as some of the shows and definitely the rides as always! Dont think I will spend money to scare myself again for such events. But you never know. I may just forget about this and end up going again a couple of years later! Haha! =p

Its been a really Stressful, Busy, Emotions-filled Week!

Havent got time or the mood to blog since last week. Work has been really busy! Work is piling up, many datelines to meet, and my memory is literally like a Goldfish these days! Just way tooo much going on in my head!

Timelines to meet, pressing issues to settle, difficult people to handle, etc.

Had some other personal issues bobbing in my head as well which I wont be discussing here.

And, as the date for my key collection is drawing near, I have other sets of stressing issues to worry about such as my house renovations, financial issues, and other stuff that comes along with it.

Been so so so so down last week that I just didnt feel like doing much. I ended up falling sick and was given 2 days of Medical Leave on Monday & Tuesday to rest at home which I am eternally grateful for. Although the feeling of being sick isn't awesome, but its just wonderful that I could finally just rest my body, mind and soul.

Also it was a good time for me to just lie in bed, do some soul-searching, have some deep thoughts about life and a great time to really let things go. Let the pain, the stress, and other what nots go.

Learn to LET GO, cause that is the key to HAPPINESS!

But as they always say, the beautiful rainbow will always come after the rain. Which is sooo soooooo true!

GOD IS GOOD! THANK GOD!

Good things started happening after my 2 days of Medical Leave. My long awaited Key Collection Date is finally OUT! Will be collecting the keys to a place I can finally call my own, on the 5th of November 2016. I AM SO EXCITED!! *Jumps for JOY*

Work was pretty smooth yesterday and today as well. I manage to settle some of the pressing issues and although there are other work and stuff that came up, but being in a good mood does somehow helped in making my life at work so much better! Now charging up energy and clearing as much work as I can in preparation for a hectic busy stressful period starting next week for the forecasting and budgetting phase!!

Thereafter, I will probably be busy with my home defect checks and rectifications, house renovations, shopping for furnitures and stuff in the month of November and December! I am sooooo looking forward! This is probably the 3rd time I am mentioning it in this post! But the excitement is just overwhelming! Considering I've waited for this for 3 years!!

But despite being busy, as promised, I will find time to blog and note down phases of my home renovation!! Its gonna really exciting!! =)

Interaction with others is a necessary and normal part of life, but sometimes I go out of my way to make the effort to make sure I will be surrounded by people I care about.

If this sounds like you, here are some more examples of what it’s like being an extroverted introvert (or social introvert if that’s the term you like better) is like.

1. You have no problem talking to strangers but when the conversation is just small talk you’d rather just go back to being alone.

You can hold a conversation for the most part, but small talk doesn’t keep your brain engaged in the conversation. Small talk is light and fun, but we like more deep conversations. Not to say we won’t ever engage in small talk, because we do, that’s part of life, but we always try to push it a little bit further and dig deeper. We want to the conversation to lead to us actually getting to know the person.

2. If you’re not comfortable in a group of people you keep to yourself in the back.

You love being surrounded by people, but generally only be people you’re comfortable around. Being around a different group of people makes you feel awkward and might even give you a little social anxiety.

3. You have days where you want to talk to everyone and days where you don’t want to be contacted.

Some days you want to be texting all your friends and making plans whereas other days you ignore everyone. It just depends on the day; there is no real explanation other than you have two opposite ways to recharge and you need a balance of both. If you spend too much time around people you are dying to get back to the comfort of your own home. But if you spend too much time alone you desire being around others.

4. You prefer meaningful conversation.

Like I said, small talk is not important to us. It makes us more uncomfortable, especially when the conversation goes nowhere, like usual. When we have a conversation we want to get to know you, the real you. We want to have something engaging and meaningful to talk about. Deep conversation is what it’s all about.

5. You’re always wrapped up in your own head.

You’re always thinking, alone and with people. Your brain goes a million different directions, whether it’s thinking about something you have to do next week or something you forgot to ask a friend there is always something on your mind. You also frequently give yourself pep talks when you need some motivation.

6. Sometimes it’s really hard to get us out.

Because what if it isn’t fun or isn’t worth it? I’d probably end up regretting getting up and leaving behind my books and laptop. But what if it’s the best time and everyone’s talking about how fun it is? There are nights when you don’t want to do anything and nights when you want to do everything.

7. Just because you like being alone doesn’t mean you like being lonely.

There is a total difference between the two. You like being alone because you choose to be alone. But you don’t like being alone because you don’t have anyone there for you. Being alone and spending time doing your own thing is what makes you happy, but being with people also makes you happy. Being lonely satisfies nothing and completely kills both moods.

8. You enjoy listening to others.

You enjoy listening to others because sometimes all you want is someone to listen to you. Even when you don’t have anything to say, you listening helps someone out because they know you’re involved. But listening to someone who has something going on engages us because we feel important, like we are doing something good for someone.

9. You’re selectively social.

You enjoy being social, but you don’t want to be social with everyone. People that are involved in a lot of drama are completely out of your interest range. You don’t enjoy talking negatively about others and you’d rather avoid people who do. It makes you extremely uncomfortable.

10. You make new friends easily, but have a harder time maintaining those friendships.

Making friends is no problem for you. When you’re out you love being out. You talk to people, you’re social and you’re happy. But after the night out is over and you wake up the next morning the importance of maintaining that friendship isn’t very high. Whether it be because you don’t feel like texting anyone or because you don’t want to leave the house it’s the maintenance that is the real struggle for you.

Belated Farewell Dinner and Birthday KTV

Not exactly a farewell but rather an appreciation dinner for 1 of our temp staff that has become our friend and team member =)

Thanks for the help with our work as well as making life at work more fun! Thanks for accompanying me to run around the parks during the crazy pokemon craze period and for all the other fun and enjoyable time to make my life at work less stressful! Appreciate the listening ear to hear my ranting when I am stressed out, and for all the support rendered in one way or another.

Anyway yesterday after work we had dinner at Kiseki Japanese Buffet Restaurant located at Orchard Central. My second time to this place, I must say I really love the snow crab and without fail I ate alot of Sashimi as I always do for every other international buffets. Didnt really eat alot, nor tried many stuff since my appetite wasnt fantastic that day. But overall I would say food is good. :)

After dinner, 3 of us decided to continue the night with KTV session at Teo Heng located at Rendevouz Hotel to celebrate Winnie's Bday! Our first KTV session! Ended the night at 2+am. All of us were totally drained by this time! But certainly had a lot of fun! More KTV sessions to come since we found out that the whole group of us except 1 loves singing~
