HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 EVERYONE!

May the year ahead be better than the years before!

New year this year has been busy busy for me! I had been rushing around like a Bee. Super tiring!

I went to Causeway Point to get myself a new Iphone 4S White 16GB, and sold it within 1 hour at Tampines Central. How sad.

Truly hope this year would be much much better! Hope I can earn more money, and achieve much much more in life this year!

Reflections on 2011 (Back to 2011 New Year)

2011 had indeed been a year that zoom by really quickly. Alot of happenings for me in this 1 year. Changed 3 jobs (Not exactly something to be proud of or happy about). Bought myself my very first car. Got myself a couple of CC which I had wanted(which caused myself to be in many debts right now!) Renovations at my house, and for the 1st time we moved to a rented apartment and stayed with outsiders (which was honestly not a very pleasant experience). Moved back into my newly renovated old house. Met new good friends such as Jen, Liangching, Peggie, Faye, Grace, Belinda, Yiwen, and new colleagues who had been really nice thus far such as Doreen and Jerene. I would say I am truly blessed with nice friends and colleagues around me througout this year. It has been an awesome year indeed!

2011 New Year Resolution

- Save more money

- Lose 7kgs of weight

- ~~Work really hard and aim for my newly set personal targets for 2011~~

- ~~Pick up Korean language~~

- Improve my temper, patience and tolerance

- ~~Keep fit & healthy~~

Sadly I didnt manage to save more money since I spend most of it on my car. My temper, patience and tolerance have improved a little bit, but I guess I still need to work on it. I did Lose 7kgs, but soon gain them back again. :(

- Earn more Moolah! and Save more Moolahs!

- Clear my debts!

- Lose 7Ks of Weight AGAIN!

- Improve on my Korean Language

- Be able to play at least 3 songs on my guitar

With this newly set 2012 New Year Resolution, I'm ready to embark on this new year! Hope this new year would be as awesome as the years before, or even better! =)

Poker Face !

No I'm not thinking about the song. But rather about what a friend of mine, said to me some time ago. It suddenly crossed my mind today, and thus decided to blog about it.

For those who aint very sure what it really meant (other than knowing the song), below is the defination of the word, Poker Face.

Noun

- Informal, a face without expression, as that of a poker player attempting to conceal the value of his cards
- A face lacking any interpretable expression, as that of an expert poker player.

As mentioned, my friend had actually told me that I have a Poker Face. And this is only noticed recently. She mentioned that previously I didnt have a poker face, and in fact usually 1 look at my face and you will know exactly what I am feeling at that moment. I dont know if its due to age, stress, lethargy or simply the environment. But I actually do kind of agree with her to a certain extent.

Oh well....Poker Face or not, I guess the only venue which wouldnt be able to know would be through my blog, for my facial expression would not be shown nor portrayed. But 1 thing for sure, the emotions I feel are greatly reflected in my words.

I may not be a great speaker on stage, as I would stammer due to stage fright.
I may not be an awesome friend, as I am not really good with words of console.

But...

I do think I would be a better writer than most people I know, for when writing, I would not stammer nor be afraid of people laughing at me.
I will try my best to be there for my friends to lend a listening ear, lend my shoulders to cry on, and offer a warm hug when needed.
I do think that I try my very best to console and give advice to my friends through writing, blogging, SMSing, and even MSNing.

People who know me would know better. Well this is just yet another random post which suddenly crossed my mind. Just sharing, and I hope my readers would get to know me better and enjoy reading! =)

Totally filled with Admiration and Adoration for Jang Geun Suk!!

Jang Geun Suk recently was reported to secretly donate USD$1.2 million to Hanyang University last month (November2011) to help deserving students and fund their scholarship in the film and acting department. And on 19th December he was invited to attend a commemoration ceremony for his donation to Hanyang University. (Click here for full details of News)

On top of that, he was also reported to be the youngest star to be included in the 1% of real estate wealth among celebrtities. Expert analyst explained, “As Jang Geun Suk is 24 years old, this makes him the youngest and one of the wealthiest amongst the stars. WOW! This is really a BIG WOW dont you agree?! I would say he is really a very impressive guy, considering his age (Mind you, he is the same age as me! Therefore I am totally impressed and blown away by these news!) I suddenly feel super rejuvenated and motivated all over again to work and strive hard for myself and for my future! I shall set him as a benchmark towards my goal!~ =)

Xmas 2011 is nearing!!

Hey all lovely readers!

The Festive Season is here again!! X'mas 2011 is nearing! Any special, fun, exciting plans to celebrate this festive season?

Anyway for myself, its gonna be the same as the previous 2 years. Dinner party countdown at Bf's relative's place! On top of that yesterday had a Xmas Lunch in Office, and also a gift exchange session with my Healthy Lunch Khakis! Its quite a nice event, everyone were happy with their presents and we all had a good time! =)

Also this year, I'm receiving lots of cards, and presents not only from my colleagues but also from my vendors who were really nice! =) Cookies, candies, chocolates, gummies, etc! I guess thats the fun about being on the other side. For those who dont know what I'm talking about, well I was previously a Recruitment Consultant in an Employment Agency, and usually it would be the Agencies's role to buy presents to give to the clients or customer as a token of appreciation or rather, to 'curry flavour' them. Right now, I'm on the other side recieving these presents from the agencies! =) =)

Also, 1-2 weeks ago, my family celebrated my Dad's birthday at Medz @ Orchard Central. Food was quite good, ambience was good, service was good and we all enjoyed ourselves over a nice yummy dinner filled with laughters and warmth!

After dinner, we took a stroll to view the lightings and decos along Orchard Road. This year the lightings arent really fantastic but as always the ambience there is really joyous as it was crowded with people taking photos, laughing and having fun. =)

Its been awhile since I last updated. Again I know I have alot to update and blog about but simply have no time. Bit by bit I will try to update the happenings last few weeks, or if not, simply check out my Facebook which I update much more frequently instead.

Anyway happen to catch a HK movie recently which I thought was quite nice. Not the best, but good for those who love to watch movies to make that wish a fairytale would also struck them in reality. 2 good looking actors as main character, Louis Koo, and Daniel Woo! =)

Don't Go Breaking My Heart 單身男女

Mainlander & financial analyst Cheng Zixin (Yuanyuan Gao), who followed her then boyfriend Owen (Terence Yin) to Hong Kong, runs into her ex-boyfriend while riding the bus. Owen is now with his pregnant wife and when his wife spots Owen talking to his ex she she freaks out. Cheng hurriedly gets off the bus and, being in a daze, is almost run over by a car. A haggard drunk named Fang (Daniel Wu) then saves Cheng.

Meanwhile, in a nearby car, sits CEO Cheung Shen (Louis Koo) who watches everything that transpires. CEO Cheung Shen is a playboy who also works in an office building directly adjacent to Cheng Zixin. Cheung Shen soon starts to woo Cheng Zixin by sending messages to her through the window of his office building. The drunk haggard Fang, who saved Cheng Zixin's life, runs into Cheng Zixin a few weeks later. It turns out that the drunk haggard is a Canadian-born top architect going through personal problems. They soon become friends.

Overdued post!

Gosh, many things have happened over these past weeks, and I simply have no time to sit down comfortably to blog a proper post. On top of that I seriously need a new lappy!!

- Many happenings in office.
* Faye, Belinda and Yiwen are no longer working with me. Had farewell meals with them which was kinda saddening since they left 1 after another in such a short span of time.
* I've decided to resign as well.
* My sweet friends and colleagues organized a Birthday ktv session for me at Partyworld.
* The stress is killing me. So bad that I have very frequent migraine these days!
* Had a nice wine and dine with all my colleagues at CMPB (Contemporary Melting Pot & Bar @ Dempsey Road) - Super awesome food and wine served! The ambiance and live band there was quite good as well! Totally recommended! I would foresee myself heading there again sometime soon! This time round not much pictures as I didnt bring my camera. I promise more photos next time! :))

- Went to the Jurong Fishery Port which was quite an eye (and nose) opener for me. The fishy stench is quite bad! The floor is really dirty and wet. BUT, the Fishes and other seafood are all really fresh there. So fresh that some are still alive. The fishes are also really huge!

- Had a steamboat and BBQ session at his cousin's place.

- I found another job which i would probably enjoy more and something I had been wanting to do for sometime.

- I miraculously passed my Korean Language Basic Level 2 test! Considering i didnt attend almost 4 session as I was caught up with work and all.And i didnt even practice nor open the book to read at all!

- I bought myself a new pair of glasses from Ted Baker together with Rain jie! And we both decided to get the same frame!! Reason being we both like our red frame specs! She lost her previous pair and mine was old and partly damaged from one of my scuba diving trip years back! haha! =)

Many many other nitty gritty that i couldnt even remember off hand right now.

Well whatever it is, these few weeks had been really hectic for me. So much so that I hardly had proper time for myself to even have a breather!

Right now I'm really looking forward to starting my new career, and I hope this time round its the right move. Sincerely dread job hopping!!

These few weeks many events coming up as well!

* Faye's birthday celebration tomorrow. (probably going kite flying if it doesnt rain)
* Lil Bro's 21st Birthday (I still cant think of the right gift to get or make for him!)
* Car servicing soon! (Still hesitating on which workshop I should bring it to. Project S? BMS? or Autobacs in JB)

Gosh everything requires money!! i hope more moolahs will be showered on me!! =p

Pencil: I'm sorry Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.

Pencil: I'm sorry because you get hurt because of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.

Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad.

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way, they get hurt, and become smaller / older, and eventually pass on. Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad. All my life, I've been the pencil. And it pains me to see the eraser that is my parents getting smaller and smaller each day. For I know that one day, all that I'm left with would be eraser shavings and memories of what I used to have.

Hereby officially wanna commemorate myself breathing for 24years on planet earth. Wonderful yet dreadful. I wanna be 17 again!!

On this day, I wanna be thankful to my parents, for without them I wouldnt be on this planet earth, for without them I wouldnt be who I am today, for without them I wouldnt be able to sit in front of my lappy now and writing this post on my blog.

I love my beloved parents!! Thanks for coming together and bringing me into this world! =)

Alot to reflect back upon. Many sweet birthday celebrations and moments. Every year seem different. Celebrating with different friends, parties, clubbing, dinner, lunch, simple heartwarming get together to my family, surprises, etc.

This year its also going to be very different. No elaborated celebrations or parties. Just a simple dinner date arranged by BF later on at night, and a belated birthday dinner with my family when my bro is home some time later as we've all been really busy these days. And a couple of lunch and dinner treat from some close friend. Nothing more. I must say, for me, as each year passes, the number of friends celebrating with me and the presents really decreases...which is kinda saddening..but yet I know thats life, especially for me now since Im really busy with work and simple tooo tired to prepare anything.

Well, nonetheless, looking forward to dinner later on! And I hope work wouldnt be too stress for me later as well. Yea sad to say I would be working on my birthday!! Career comes first for me now, therefore no choice! Honestly I dont mind going to work cause I have my bunch of nice colleagues who would be making my day, but I pray really hard that nothing bad comes up, and pray that my boss wouldnt make my day bad!!

Anyway to those who had wished me "Happy Birthday", to those who had treated me to lunch or dinner, to those who had given me presents, I sincerely thank all of you from the bottom of my heart! Truly appreciate it! =) *hugs*

Been close to 3 months since we moved back home after the major renovation. Finally the house is more or less settled down and we manage to find time to organize an officially house warming session.

We organized 3 sessions, 1st session for our friends and colleagues, 2nd session for my dad's relatives, and 3rd session for my mum's relatives. 1st and 2nd session had been held, and the 3rd session would likely be held next week or the week after.

Mixed Emotions

Its a day filled with Mixed emotions.

Came into office today and was surprised with a Bad news. A colleague and good friend has decided to resign as she felt that this is not for her. Kinda upset as I'll be losing a good friend and lunch khaki and our lil office sunshine. But on the other hand I understand how she felt and am glad for her.

After this news, came another news, which was Good for me but yet worrying for me. I've been officially confirmed as a Permanent staff with my current employer. And it was an advanced confirmation as I've yet to complete the 3 months probation. Happy as it was a compliment for me and at least I know my hardwork has been acknowledged and appreciated. But yet worried as I know there would be higher expectations from me and I didnt want to disappoint my boss. She's been nice and I appreciate the acknowledgement, compliments and rewards. Feeling more stress, burden and responsibilities on my (already) heavy shoulders!!

After work, went to TOUCHE at Orchard Hotel with my sweety Yiwen for our IPL and Facial session which I was kinda excited about as we've been talking about it for some time and am really looking forward to it. I must say the IPL experience was kinda weird, I was shocked on the first treatment. It wasnt exactly painful, but rather it felt like an electrifying ant bite! Haha! =)

After the session was done, I decided to treat her to a nice farewell dinner at California Pizza Kitchen at The Forum. Had previously gone there for dinner a few years ago, but it still taste as good, plus service was good and ambiance was nice as well. =)

Talked for a long time over dinner and I was feeling a little upset that I'll be seeing less of her in future. But glad we had made a pact to meet up every month to catch up and also for our IPL sessions together. =)

Anyway hereby wishing her the very best in her future endeavours! =)

Lately finished watching Heartstrings / You've Fallen For Me (넌 내게 반했어 / Neon Naege Banhaesseo). Another super nice k-drama that I was totally hooked onto. The OST are all really nice as well! Its a Musical Romance drama starring Jung Yong Hwa (C.N. Blue Lead Vocal & Leader) acting as Lee Shin, Park Shin Hye acting as Lee Kyu Won, and Kang Min Hyuk (C.N. Blue Drummer) acting as Yeo Joon Hee.

Sypnosis:

Lee Shin is a university student majoring in modern music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks and strong passion for music, but in reality he is cold, lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won.

Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.

This show totally made me captivated by Jung Yong Hwa as well!! Totally charming! You guys should also catch the show We Got Married (WGM) pairing up Jung Yong Hwa and SNSD Seo Hyun!! He's just soooo cute and a totally ideal BF to have!! =) On top of that, because of him i feel sooooo motivated to pick up my guitar again! This time round I'm soooo determine to get it right and learn it properly! =)

A woman in her late 20's is always asked "when are you going to get married?" On a whim, the woman then lies that she did get married.

Kong Ah-Jung (Yoon Eun-Hye) is an administrative official for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. She then co-ordinates a meeting for government officials. The meeting appears to flow smoothly and she is even praised by the minister. Disaster soon strikes when bees attack the meeting place and the meeting turns into chaos. Taking responsibility for meeting, Ah-Jung is ordered to submit a written apology. That evening Kong Ah-Jung goes to a club and drinks away her sorrows.

Meanwhile, Hyun Ki-Joon (Kang Ji-Hwan) is the president for conglomerate "World Group." He is handsome, smart and from a rich family. But, in his teen years due to an accident he lost both of his parents. Since that time, Ki-Joon and his younger brother were raised by his aunt. Ki-Joon has a responsible character as an older brother but his younger brother Sang-Hee (Sung Joon) is more carefree. The younger brother Sang-Hee then comes back to Korea and meets Ah-Jung at the club, while she is drinking away her sorrows. Ah-Jung and Sang-Hee start to chat and Ki-Joon shows up to looking for Sang-Hee. He misses Sang-Hee. in front of the club Ah-Jung passes out and Ki-Joon takes her to the hospital. In order to ask Ah-Jung about Sang-Hee's whereabouts, Ki-Joon stays next to Ah-Jung's bed all through the night. The next day, they go their separate ways.

On the following day, Ah-Jung meets So-Ran (Hong Soo-Hyun) who stole away her first love Jae-Beom (Ryu Seung-Soo). So-Ran and Jae-Beom eventually married. After So-Ran and Jae-Beom became a couple, Ah-Jung studied hard and passed her government official exam to impress Jae-Beom. At the hair salon, Ah-Jung on a whim lies to the couple and tells them that she is married. Ah-Jung then goes to a hotel to pay Ki-Joon for the other night's hospital bill. An accident occurs and she spills tomato juice all over her sweater. Ah-Jung is so embarrassed she pretends to pass out. Ki-Joon picks her up and takes her to his hotel room. During this time, Ah-Jung's friends watches and a rumor soon spreads that Ah-Jung and Ki-Joon are married ....

Hae-Young (Song Seung-Heon) is a 31-year-old diplomat. He is the sole successor of the Daehan Jonghap Group (the largest conglomerate in Korea). Hae-Young is also handsome and graduated from an Ivy League school. Agreeing to his grandfather`s creed, Park Hae-Young decides to give up his rights to the company and all of his assets. This is all for a young woman named Lee-Sul.

Lee-Sul is a 25-year-old college student, majoring in Art History. She doesn't think about the secrets surrounding her birth or her stepsister who teased her behind her back. Lee-Sul keeps a shabby appearance and works several part time jobs on top of her college career. She also has a crush on her professor Nam Jung-Woo (Ryu Su-Yeong). One day, Lee-Sul becomes a princess overnight. Yoon-Joo can't forgive Lee-Sul for what she has caused. Yoon-Jo then makes a plan and if it succeeds Korea will lose their imperial family.

Jung-Woo (Ryu Su-Yeong) is a professor, archeologist and holds a PH.D in the Arts. He is also popular among the female students. Jung-Woo grew up in a poor family. Even now with his high status, his financial situation isn't so good. Because of this, Jung-Woo hasn't proposed to his girlfriend Yoon-Joo. One day, something strange happens. Jung-Woo's student Lee-Sul (who always submits papers late, but works hard at excavation sites) turns out to be a princess. Lee-Sul then asks Jung-Woo to become an advisor for the "Redemption Committee of Imperial Family Cultural Assets".

Introducing my new toy! Canon EOS 60D (DSLR)

18.0 megapixels, 3" screen, APS-C sensor. Key features include an articulated LCD screen, a 18MP CMOS sensor, an ISO span of ISO 100-3200 (expandable to 12,800) and 1080p movie mode.

Totally in love with it! New hobby yet again! Photography! Not exactly new, as I initially already love photography. But I was only able to snap with my digital camera Samsung PL150 which wasnt exactly totally satisfying at time. Though it was enough for me previously. But I guess its just in the human nature to always want something better and never satisfied or contented with what they have. Of cause I wouldnt say that Im greedy, nor would i deny that Im a perfectionist. Thus since I can afford it I would get it. But if its not within my budget or capability then I'll just wait til that day arrives that I am able to do so. Thats my logic. Always good to aim high right? Hehe! :)

But this time round I'm pretty fortunate. My lil bro had suggested to get a DSLR instead! I'm tight on my budget these days since i just bought myself a car and have a heavy liability. Therefore I didnt dare to even think of spending too much on unnecessary wants. And he was really nice to offer to buy it himself instead! =) I'm blessed with a nice lil bro! But he's also blessed with a nice sister like me! wahahaha!! Cause, in the end we share the cost though the bigger proportion is paid by him this time round. =)

Excited to play with it and learn how to use it! Hope I can snap pretty photos and beautify my blog soon! =)

Been having a rough and bad week. Nothing seem to be going right.

Traffic jams in the morning. Sick and headache and a bad flu through the week. Disappointments at work. Quarrels. Etc etc.

I was soooo down and emofied that I really wish I can vanish into thin air.

But Im really glad that my week ended pretty well. =)

Friday 5August2011
Met up with dearest Jen and Liangching for dinner after a long stressful angst day at work. Was suppose to drop by my ex-office to say Hello to my ex-colleagues and pick them both up before we head out. But alas I was caught up in a super impromptu meeting at work that started at 5.10pm (20mins before Knockoff time on a FRIDAY evening). and ended at 6.40pm! =( *sulks* And so I was late and ended up meeting them directly at Takashimaya instead! Headed to Pepes Restaurant (Indonesian food) for our dinner. Catching up with them over our yummylicious dinner totally made me forget my whole day of stress and unhappiness! After dinner, we decided to head over to Dempsey Road. Wanted to find a place to chill, but everywhere was packed and we decided on Dome instead. =) The night was fun with phototaking, chit-chatting and gossiping. After which send them back home and headed over to Bf's place. At night head out for supper at Changi Airport as Bf was feeling hungry.

Saturday 6August2011
Woke up and head out for brunch before going back home to rest and prep to go for dinner at Swissotel Merchant Court to celebrate his aunt and dad's birthday with this family and relatives. After dinner head home to change we head to ECP to relax with Yiu. Later on decided to head to Cineleisure to catch a midnight movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Super duper awesome and meaningful show! Personally i feel that it is a very recommended show! It shows that even animals have a conscience, compassion and faithfulness. :)

Woke up pretty late since we only reach home after the movie at about 5am! Washed up and headed back to my house to pick Muffin up before we head to ECP for our brunch at Old Town White Coffee! After brunch walked my dearest Muffin with my baby dearest! =) After the stroll, send bf home before coming home to bath Muffin. After which decided to wash the toilet and take a shower myself. Then it was back to kdrama relax time! =)

I truly hope tomorrow and my week ahead would be much better than last week. *prays* Anyway stay tuned for more updates! I'll be playing around with my new toy! Hopefully able to snap some nice photos! =)

Goodbye to my less than 1 month old (NEW) Raleigh Nomad Full Susp Bike! My first toy ride. Totally love it at first sight. Its pretty and done me proud. Accompanied me to Helix Bridge, ECP, Bedok Jetty, Pengerang and many other places. But sadly its way too heavy for me due to the alloy body and full suspension and kinda too big for me. Probably a size M. I love color combination of White Black and Purple. But i guess its also due to the parts not being really fantastic as its of Alloy body and mechanic disc brakes. Anyway its officially SOLD.

And Welcome my new toy ride! My 2nd baby! GIANT Terrago Disc! Its baby blue in color with combination of black and white. I must say its also pretty. Size XS, lighter for me as well since its a hardtail bike. Also this time rounds its with Hydralic disc brakes with better parts. Hopefully it doesnt let me down! Will try it out and blog about its performance! :)

2d1n Genting, Melaka 'loklok' Dinner

Totally Impromtu.

We were suppose to set off on Saturday morning, but end up we heard from news about some protesting going on in Malaysia and had wanted to cancel the trip. But alas in the afternoon after checking that all is fine, we set off to Malaysia.

Attendees: Me, Bf, Simon and Jean
Mode of Transport: Car

First stop was to JB to have Bak Kut Teh. After which we head straight up to Genting. Upon reaching, there was no rooms left! Fully booked! We worried for a while before a tour agency representative approached us to offer us a room! We got it right away, went up to unload our belongings and head to have dinner and played at the Casino. Had Mc-supper before we rested for the night.

Sunday woke up we we head washed up and packed up and checked out. Unload our stuff in the car and off we went to eat our brunch at Kenny Roger and continue our day at Genting. In the evening at about 6 plus, we left Genting.

Drove over to Melaka to have our 'loklok' dinner at Restoran Capitol Satay! Super yummylicious!! And the queue is super long!

Anyway after dinner, we drove back home. I was soo drained and tired i slept throughout the ride home! =p

Fun getaway nonetheless! Totally love the weather at Genting!! =)
