Funny animations
I decided to create another YouTube account called Altermation to focus on my animations, because my Meerkatist account is too random! Here are some funny animations that I created and uploaded so far.

Poop! - A really crap animation.
I created this video using 3Ds Max one time in Uni when I was bored! As you can see, it didn't take very long to make but I thought it was funny so had to share it!

How to make motorboyke and racing car noises

I got the inspiration to create this funny animation when I found some old audio cassettes of me and my brothers in the '80's when we were kids. I liked the one of my older brother saying that he "just learned how to make motorboyke and racing car noises", so decided to find an old photo of him to put it with. I then took photos of my mouth in various positions, deleted his mouth using Photoshop, and put the pictures of my mouth over the top, in time with the audio. If you like this, please share! Christmas funny animation

This is a funny short animation of a baby and his Grandma at Christmas. Me and some friends created the animation using Maya, as a first year group project at the Bournemouth University NCCA in 2006. I modelled the bookcase, wooden beams on the ceiling, skirting and architrave, Xmas cards, and the picture frames. I also made most of the textures, e.g. the wallpaper, flooring, rug, Xmas cards, chair, and the paintings.

Whilst on a cruise around the Med, we stopped off at the Greek island of Mykonos and found this Pekin duck swimming in the sea!

Wombats!

My parents went on a cruise around Australasia on the ship Diamond Princess.

On their stops in Melbourne and Tasmania they visited the zoos, where they found these interesting little creatures, which are so docile and kinda remind me of giant hamsters!

Meerkats and Marwell Zoo

Me and my wife had a day out at Marwell Zoo and I filmed these Meerkats playing and sunbathing in their pen

I also filmed some of the other animals including otters, strange birds, a chipmunk, a colony of ants, stick insects, a lizard, antelope, ring-tailed coatis, capybara (big rodents), an emu and flamingos and put them together in this video

Grey Squirrels and a rare British Red Squirrel

I'm writing this blog to share my large collection of videos and animations that I've created over the years and uploaded onto my Meerkatist YouTube Channel. I literally have thousands of videos just sitting on my hard drive waiting to be uploaded and shared!
My camera comes with me almost everywhere I go, photographing and filming all kinds of stuff from wildlife to wild parties. I've been known to wear out at least one camera every two years, so it's no wonder that I've got a bit of a reputation amongst my friends as a bit of a paparazzi!

For my first post, here's a selection of videos that I've filmed of squirrels:

I spotted this red squirrel up a tree near Shanklin Chine on the Isle of Wight. Red squirrels are very rare in England. There are only a handful of places where they can be found, as grey squirrels were brought over from North America in the 19th Century and took over their territory!

When I was at uni in Bournemouth studying 3D Computer Animation, we had a grey squirrel that hopped along our fence most days, and hid acorns in the long grass (being lazy students, it didn't get cut very often!) Here's three videos of our squirrel friend:

There are loads of grey squirrels in Bournemouth, especially in the gardens near the beach. The squirrels there are very tame, and will even come and take food out of your hand - although one man told me not to encourage them, because some bite! I filmed the following squirrels in the gardens whilst sitting on a bench for lunch. One of the squirrels climbed into the old man's shopping bag and helped itself to the food inside!

I found this squirrel on a chess table next to the Hudson River whilst on holiday exploring New York.
