On her 12th birthday, Tang Ying lost her parents and older brother to a tragic road accident. Although she survived, she lapsed into a coma for 13 years. Strangely, he takes to Tang Ying but although, he is fond of her, he is unable to express how he feels. Jieming is an autistic savant and is highly intelligent. With his help, Tang Ying is able to unravel several mysteries.

Situ Dongcheng is a down-and-out former lawyer. Like Tang Ying, he has also lost everything he treasured in his life. They encourage and support each other and become fixtures in each other's

Jack Kevorkian has big problem in his heart and had been hospitalized for about two weeks at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

Today, partially as a result of his efforts, Oregon, Washington and Montana allow terminally ill patients to ask a doctor for a lethal amount of medication after a medical and psychological evaluation, but they have rejected Kevorkian's call for "death on demand."

Those who have pushed for more liberal laws and legislation in other states say there is no single advocate with the same riveting rhetoric who could have the same impact as Kevorkian.

"His shoes will be extremely hard to fill," said Philip Nitschke, founder and director of Exit International, which leads the worldwide right-to-die movement. "He moved the debate forward in ways the rest of us can only imagine.

"He started at a time when it was hardly talked about and got people thinking about the issue," said Nitschke. "He paid one hell of a price, and that is one of the hallmarks of true heroism."

That price was a murder conviction in 1999. Kevorkian served eight years in prison, but was released early on parole on the condition he would not kill again.

Kevorkian never married and had no children, but his niece, Ava Janus, was with him when died.

"He brought to the fore the idea of personal autonomy," said Nicol. "You have the right to choose how you did, regardless of the law."

Earth Day gives those people who have not taken part in recycling the opportunity to make changes to their lives and their community that they will cherish for a lifetime. Many organized groups have adopted a pay as you throw program in their local communities.

With these programs you only pay for the trash you put out by the curb thereby saving money on your trash bill. They are using a bag and tag system, which lowers their annual waste collection bills. If you’ve never heard of “payt” you can learn more about pay as you throw programs here.

The following activity can save our earth such as:

1. Recycle

Waste Management has made it easy to do curbside recycling in Arcadia. Items that are accepted for recycling are paper products, including computer paper, catalogs, junk mail, copier paper, phone books, grocery bags, gift wrap and envelops, even if they have “windows”; cardboard, including food packaging such as cereal boxes, cake-mix boxes, frozen food boxes, egg cartons and soda/beer carriers; all beverage containers marked “CA Redemption Value” or “CA Cash Refund”; plastic containers labeled #1-#7; aluminum and tin cans, liquor bottles, empty aerosol cans, pie tins, glass jars and bottles. See the full list here. Just drop the recyclables in the blue bin and put it on the curb on trash day.

2. Replace light bulbs

Buy some compact florescent light bulbs (CFLs) to replace your incandescents when they burn out, or if you're feeling really "green," save some energy and replace them all now. They last a lot longer and save quite a bit on the energy bill overtime.

3. Install a low-flow showerhead

Low-flow showerheads cut down on the amount of water coming out when you shower, but you really can't tell the difference, except for a lighter water bill! They pay for themselves quickly.

4. Ditch your dryer

We pay a lot of hidden taxes for the wonderful sun that we get all year long, why not put some of that instant solar power to work and reap the reward of sun-fresh clothes. The dryer takes a lot of energy to run, so start out trying half-time loads, hanging the clothes out to dry when they're damp, then eventually go all the way and ditch that dryer.

5. Compost

According to the Environmental Defense Fund, 18 percent of the waste in an average U.S. household comes from the yard and garden, a huge amount of mostly bio-waste that can be returned to the garden.

The composting process essentially involves setting aside certain types of organic waste apart from normal trash and collecting it in a composting bin somewhere outside, where it decomposes and becomes a nutrient-rich soil additive or fertilizer.

Not only does this reduce waste in the dumps, it reduces the energy spent to take it there, can save you money on soil and fertilizer, reduces the use of chemical fertilizers, and plants love it!

Thousands of people come out today for Yeardey Love's funeral in North Baltimore, the slain University of Virginia lacrosse player's hometown, according to the Baltimore Sun. Yeardley Love, at 22 years, was murdered by a fellow student of UVA George Huguely and discovered dead in her bedroom by a roommate in her apartment early Monday morning.. The casket was brought on Saturday at Mary Our Queen’s Cathedral.

Following her tragic death, the police concluded George Huguely 22 years of age and also a lacrosse player while with the men’s team, was the person of interest thus he was held within few hours of Love’s death. George has been sent to jail already and faces first-degree murder charges. The tragic death of Yeardley Love left the entire community shocked and saddened.

Yeardley was remembered as an enthusiastic woman, and was expected to graduate in just a few weeks. Her lacrosse coach Julie Meyers delivered a eulogy at the ceremony today, and said: "Yeardley was the player who made everyone feel better. As genuine, kind and gentle as she was, she was also tough as nails on the lacrosse field."

Ex-boyfriend and UVA lacrosse player George Huguely was charged Monday with first degree murder for her slaying, and is being held in jail until his trial in June. His lawyer called the death "an accident with a tragic outcome" earlier this week.

Funches claims the actress "engaged in sexual foreplay" with Wade in front of his 8-year-old and 2-year-old sons while on an unsupervised visit to his Miami home, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The suit also alleges that Wade's oldest son was allowed to play unsupervised in or around the Miami home's pool at night. Wade and Union allegedly ignored the child, whose "screams and cries" eventually caught the attention of Wade's mother, Jolinda Wade.

In a statement furnished to Gossip Cop, the actress’ legal representative says:

“Each and every allegation made is entirely false. Ms. Union wasn’t in the state of Florida or Illinois where and when each of these allegations are said to have occurred.”

“These false accusations were previously made approximately one month ago in family court. Not only was Ms. Union not named a defendant at that time but the court ultimately rejected these claims as frivolous.”

“Gabrielle apologizes to the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois for tying them up with erroneous claims when there are real victims who should be receiving the legal attention they need.”

Ernie Harwell, the long-time Detroit Tigers radio and TV announcer died tonight at age 92 after a battle with cancer. William Earnest "Ernie" Harwell was born on January 25, 1918. Ernie Harwell was an American sportscaster, known for his long career calling play-by-play of Major League Baseball games. For 55 years, 42 of them with the Detroit Tigers, Harwell called balls, strikes, and home runs on radio and television. In January 2009, the American Sportscasters Association ranked Harwell 16th on its list of Top 50 Sportscasters of All Time.

Baseball Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig issued the following statement tonight regarding the passing of Hall of Fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell at age 92:

"All of Major League Baseball is in mourning tonight upon learning of the loss of a giant of our game, Ernie Harwell. This son of Georgia was the voice of the Detroit Tigers and one of the game's iconic announcers to fans across America, always representing the best of our national pastime to his generations of listeners.

"Without question, Ernie was one of the finest and most distinguished gentlemen I have ever met. On behalf of Major League Baseball, I extend my deepest sympathy to Ernie's beloved wife Lulu, his four children, his friends and his countless admirers throughout our game."

He was a good man who got to spend his life around the game he loved and was able to share it with all of us with humility, class, and an abundance of grace. If you didn't grow up within earshot of the 50,000 watts of WJR in Detroit, you probably can't quite understand this, but trust me when I say the man's voice simply WAS summer. It WAS baseball. It WAS childhood. It WAS Detroit. And it WAS innocence. And it was all of those things for several generations of Tigers fans.

The teenager was wearing a khaki shorts and a red Phillies National League Championship t-shirt, waving around a towel as he dashed around the field. He was Tasered from behind, causing him to fall flat on his face. Although the incident wasn't televised live -- at the time, the St. Louis Cardinals were awaiting their turn at bat -- many fans had their own video recorders and uploaded the video to YouTube shortly after the game. The newscasts have picked up the video. In response, Philadelphia Police used a Taser on the young man in front of the 40,000 crowd members.

Philadelphia police's Internal Affairs Bureau will review the case to see if this was an appropriate use of force. The teen wasn't named because he's a minor, but he'll be charged with criminal trespassing and other offenses. Police are reviewing the case to see if it was an appropriate use of force.

"The teen, wearing a red Phillies National League Champions T-shirt and khaki shorts, was running around the outfield waving a white towel and eluding security. A uniformed officer pointed the Taser at him, fired and didn't miss, taking the boy down face-first, like the way Pete Rose used to slide," Fox 29's Steve Keeley reported.

Halo: Reach is apparently running at a full 720p according to Digital Foundry's review of the beta thus far (so many Ps!). And, like Halo 3 before it, the Reach beta achieves a near constant 30 frames-per-second of highly frenetic gameplay, albeit dropping a few every now and then during, um ... explosive situations (let us once again remind you that the game is still in beta).

In fact, aside from the occasional screen tear and a bit of a "ghosting" issue ("frame bending" -- two or more images being blurred together -- can sometimes result in objects on screen not appearing solid, as seen in this image), DF is quite impressed with the beta's visual presentation, not to mention the gameplay. Starts from Tay-Sachs disease, also known as GM2 gangliosidosis or Hexosaminidase A deficiency, is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder. In its most common variant known as infantile Tay-Sachs disease, it presents a relentless deterioration of mental and physical abilities which commences at 6 months of age and usually results in death by the age of four.

Tay-Sachs Disease is caused by a genetic defect in a single gene with one defective copy of that gene inherited from each parent. The disease occurs when harmful quantities of gangliosides accumulate in the nerve cells of the brain, eventually leading to the premature death of those cells. There is currently no cure or treatment. Tay-Sachs Disease is rare. Other autosomal disorders such as cystic fibrosis and sickle cell anemia are far more common.

The disease is named after British ophthalmologist Warren Tay who first described the red spot on the retina of the eye in 1881, and the American neurologist Bernard Sachs of Mount Sinai Hospital, New York who described the cellular changes of Tay-Sachs and noted an increased prevalence in the Eastern European Jewish (Ashkenazi) population in 1887.

The Cure Tay-Sachs Foundation (CTSF) has recently awarded over $208,000 in three research grants to study the degenerative neurological disease. Tay-Sachs, which is always fatal in children, occurs in the absence of the enzyme Hex A, which allows fats to build up in brain cells, eventually destroying them.

The grants will pay for studies on Jacob’s sheep, a rare breed affected with a Tay-Sachs-like disease; stem-cell research in mice with Sandhoff disease, a variant of Tay-Sachs; and research on the role inflammation plays in the brains of Sandhoff-affected mice.

CTSF is a Cleveland nonprofit organization that raises funds to find a treatment or cure for Tay-Sachs. The gene mutation causing the disease is much more common in Ashkenazi Jews, French Canadians, and Louisiana Cajuns, with a 1 in 27 carrier rate. Irish Americans have a 1 in 50 risk of carrying the gene, compared with 1 in 250 in the general population.

Since its founding in June 2007, CTSF has raised $1.2 million for Tay-Sachs research, awarding over a half-million dollars in grants. Tax-deductible donations can be made online at www.CureTay-Sachs.org, or checks can be mailed to 12730 Triskett Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.

For everyone’s information, the Kentucky Oaks is the “little sister” of the Kentucky Derby, and has taken place for the past 136 years, just like it’s big brother race. And for this year event, the race is teaming up with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization to raise money for breast cancer research.

The horse will start from post position #12 and has morning line horse betting odds of 12-1. He will be ridden by Martin Garcia. Conveyance won his first four starts before losing as a big favorite in the Sunland Park Derby. He is almost certainly going to battle for the lead on Saturday and see how far he can go. The last time Baffert won the Derby was in 2002 with War Emblem and he had the same running style as Conveyance. The problem for Conveyance is that there are a number of other speed horses in this year’s Kentucky Derby odds.

Todd Pletcher will extend his streak of futility to 0-for-28 - A couple of weeks ago it seemed like Pletcher was destined to win this race. He had as many as seven horses that were possible for the race, and likely favorite Eskendereya seemed invincible.

The official announcement regarding this year's edition of Ozzy Osbourne's long-running traveling metal festival, Ozzfest, will be made this Friday night, April 30. The tour will mark the first time the two bands have toured together since 1984, during the Crües breakthrough appearance as Ozzy's opening act on a major U.S. tour.

Ozzfest, which took a year off in 2009 and was a one-day event headlined by Ozzy and Metallica in in 2008, will kick off August 14 in San Bernardino, California (the birthplace of the first Ozzfest in 1996) and then make stops in Chicago; Hartford, Connecticut; Camden, New Jersey; Pittsburgh; and Boston. Live Nation will promote the tour nationally.

The main stage will feature full sets from Ozzy, the Crue and Rob Halford, the latter performing songs from his solo career along with material from Judas Priest and Fight. DevilDriver and Nonpoint will fill out the main stage line-up. Second stage headliners and six-time Ozzfest veterans Black Label Society will be joined by Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, and Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours and Kataklysm.

In addition to the general slowdown in both the economy and the concert business, Ozzfest began facing competition in 2008 from the Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour and Crüe Fest. Tour co-organizer Sharon Osbourne experimented in 2007 by making the show admission-free, with fans obtaining tickets through corporate sponsors. But the bands were not paid either, leading to a lack of big names.

Each date on the tour will include 13 bands on two stages with music beginning at 1:00 p.m., according to the statement. There will also be a "Village of the Damned," featuring interactive activities, shopping and entertainment throughout the venue concourses.
