The Bikini

The Bikini - home to a variety of bikinis - most of which are very stringy and quite revealing. More interestingly, they are home to the strapless bikini, which is essentially a sticker to cover your nipples and lady parts!!!

You can buy 1, 2 or 3 pieces to cover the necessary, 1 piece is $10 (£6.50), 3 is $26 (£17). I think that's a little pricey considering what it is...

They are made from felt and there are some frequently asked questions at the bottom of the stringless bikini page which is actually very useful. They can be reused if you take them off and store them correctly, and you can get refills at a reduced price. This is a bikini with an on going cost which to me doesn't really sound worth while. But that's just me. They're not my cup of tea (as they say).

The other bikinis on the website though are small and come in a great variety of colours, my favourite is "hot pink".

Also, a nice little find that I haven't seen in a while are the handmade crochet sets! I LOVE the crochet bikinis, they tend to be pricer but they are so great to look at. At The Bikini, they are $69 (£45).

An American retailer of sexy little bikini's, SNS Bikinis have on offer 4 stringy micro numbers. The smallest of which is called "Extreme" and wow, that is a tiny bikini! It looks like it is held together with a single thread!!!

This is clearly designed for the brave and for those who want maximum tan coverage. I do wonder how strong this will be, but I suppose as the amount of fabric it is holding up is minimal, this shouldn't be a real problem.

"Extreme" only comes in "one size" - maybe it is stretchy? It doesn't say on the website, I would love to get my hands on one of these bikini's to review properly and see how it works!

The prices for these micro bikini's are an average of $30 (£20) for the 2 part set. There is a huge amount of choice in colours and a colour chart on the website so you can get an idea.

Like their competitors, they run a competition for their customers to send in photographs wearing the "swimsuits" with a chance to win $100.

Micro bikinis from Japan! There are many beautiful designs and they are all tiny. My particular favourites are the Nudy range but if they're not to your taste, there are many other varities.

These bikini's are very expensive, I have only had a little looksey at prices but they're coming out at like18,000 to 35,000 Japanese Yen!! I am off to Japan in the new year and I know that 12000 Japanese Yen equates to approx £100!!!!

Unfortunately though, as typically Japanese women are tiny little things, girlies like me can only just fit into their largest size - Japanese 11L (UK 10)

Alphamoda.com are a microwear company based in Greece providing high quality hand crafted swimwear and underwear for men and women.

All the products have been named after Greek Islands which I think is a brilliant idea! whilst looking for a bikini, you can plan a holiday!

Since I originally started this blog in 2008, Alphamoda have updated the way in which you view their range on their website which I must say, so far I am not a fan.....

They have a home page, which you must now log into or you can view the catalogue in pdf format. This isn't particulary easy to navigate round, there are no links so you can quickly skip to the microkini section or mens bit .... you have to scroll the whole way down.

It doesn't make it clear how you can log in if you haven't already got a username and password - my current theory is you have to buy something?

The content of the catalogue seems to be the same and there don't appear to be any new styles added to the range.

The options for men are similar but there are none made in the "outline" range..... perhaps you can use your imagination as to why?

Alphamoda have gone into detail about the different backs which are available and show pictures to make it easier for the customer which is a great idea. There may not seem much to it but when you have options of "thong", "triangle" "d-string" "g-string" or just a plain old "string" then pictures are genius!
Like some of their competitors, Alphamoda have an ongoing contest where customers can upload their piccies to win a prize of any swimsuit in their range!

Dubio Bikinis seem very "playboy"! They have 6 sections for Women's bikinis, Micro Bikinis, See Through Bikinis, Handmade Crochet, Naughty Neons, Separates and Extreme Bikinis (for adults only). I think you get an idea of what DuBio are about! Especially if you check out their European Elegance "Jewellery" definitely NSFW!

They even do cool costumes and party wear, like this Santa outfit for Christmas!

Dirty Bird Bikini are an American based company from Naples, Florida, and have been in business for over 15 years, so have excellent experience when it comes to customer service.

There are some smaller and more see through bikini's on their website, and once you choose a style you like, you can then choose from 9+ different colours.

Having received 3 bikini's from Malibu Strings I can personally ensure you will LOVE them! They are made with great quality and nice comfy material... when trying to be super confident, it's nice to know you can be comfy!

I love this little style diagram, really helps you see what the style looks like. As you can see, most of them are tiny!

A Swiss String make extremely small bikinis/lingerie, some down to 30mm wide! Most of their designs are so small that they recommend shaving! (they often make up funny phrases up using aSS, such as "always Smoothly Shaved!") From the below pictures I'm sure you can see why!

This is a cheeky and fun site, offering mainly ultra tiny bikinis. Prices are in euro's and at the current exchange rate this is working out at about £60 per bikini, but understandably, because these are all hand made and can be totally customised, from band colour to fabric choice!

Homicidal

The homicidal range is described on aSS website as a "deadly must-have for every killergirl". You currently have the choice of three colour bands and various coloured mesh/sheer fabrics. Initially, I looked at the top and thought "ooh that's quite modest" as would cover large area of skin over the boobies, but without the need to look too closely, you can see that it's not really hiding anything.

Minimal

The Minimal range seems to be a skirt which you can get to cover up a little on the beach. Like everything else at aSS, they are totally handmade so you can choose the band and the fabric. You can choose to have the main body of the skirt as a see through mesh or a more solid fabric. The minimal mini skirts are coming out at around €42 which in English monies is about £37 at the current exchange rate.

This is one of my favourite styles of microbikini - the tear drop style. Sadly, it doesn't suit me at all but I do really love it!!

aSS have added a stylish metallic (nickle free) ring to the tops and bottoms of this bikini to make it a little more "jazzy". You have a choice of 10 band colours, 4 fabrics in various colours and patterns.

Trivial

These are very much the style for the "Brave but not quite there yet" girl as they cover a lot more of your lady parts than the smaller micro bikinis shown above!!

Again, these are handmade in Switzerland and look fantasic. You can choose from 10 colour bands (weirdly there is no green colour and I do love a green) and various fabrics and patterns. The pants on this bikini have a rouched or ruffled seam down the middle of the bum which apparently "enhances your tush roundness and makes it even crispier".

aSS invite their customers to take part in a modelling competition in which the winner will take home 300 CHF (Swiss Francs)!! All you have to do, is upload at least 5 piccies of you wearing one of their bikini's or lingerie and you are in for a chance to win!!

Dangerous Curves

They have a monthly free bikini give away, for which you just need to complete a questionnaire.
