The grave of Mumtaz Mahal is located at the lower chamber, while the grave of Shah Jahan was added to it later. Four minarets rising to a height of 162.5 feet surround the 213 feet high central dome. The architectural intelligence lies in tilting the four towers of the Taj Mahal at a 2-degree angle. In the face of any natural calamity like earthquake the minarets surrounding the dome would not fall and destroy the dome but would fall away from it.

Meanwhile, there are thousands of children in our State’s foster system in need of families, and the cost of adopting is free because the State pays for it (and in some cases even pays you to adopt them). Let alone all of the poor babies who never see the light of day due to abortion in our country (around 3,500 per day I have heard, a sickening number).

International adoption is wonderful and a beautiful call from God. Domestic private adoption is, too. Foster adoption is also a call, one that–like the other two–can have significant challenges, but if such barriers are being put up by countries like China, I hope that many families will explore their other options and see that there are children living right there in the same city as they are, waiting for a family to love them.

The Red Fort was the palace for Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's new capital, Shahjahanabad, the seventh Muslim city in the Delhi site. He moved his capital from Agra in a move designed to bring prestige to his reign, and to provide ample opportunity to apply his ambitious building schemes and interests.

The Red Fort was originally referred to as \"Qila-i-Mubarak\" (the blessed fort), because it was the residence of the royal family. The layout of the Red Fort was organised to retain and integrate this site with the Salimgarh Fort. The fortress palace is an important focal point of the medieval city of Shahjahanabad. The planning and aesthetics of the Red Fort represent the zenith of Mughal creativity which prevailed during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan. This Fort has had many developments added on after its construction by Emperor Shahjahan. The significant phases of development were under Aurangzeb and later Mughal rulers. Important physical changes were carried out in the overall settings of the s... more

Roshan Mall is another of the destination malls of Jeddah. It is so big I still haven't seen all of it and I've been there several times. One of its anchor stores is HyperPanda, similar again to Super Target in the states. It also has a popular family entertainment and amusement area, and a big underground parking garage.

Heraa International Mall is an enormous bright and shiny single level mall with about 240 stores and offering a food court and an extensive children's playground. Its numerous arched entrances are adorned with yellow smiley faces, which is eye-catching but I think it looks a little cheesey. But once inside, it is a shopper's haven with an abundance of stores to delight anyone, including Laura Ashley, Diesel and Mothercare.

"Even if by some miracle the Rose Art Museum is kept open, who in the future is going to donate works of art, to donate any money, is going to believe in the potential of the Rose. Even if we prevail and this precious museum remains open, who in the future is going to give their money and their beloved art to an institution that could always be on the brink of annihilation? Who would do that. Even if we prevail, this would be a pyrrhic victory."

Parrot, common name applied to any of about 340 species of brightly colored birds that make up the parrot family. Groups of parrots that have their own common names include the cockatoos, lories, lovebirds, macaws, and parakeets. In length, parrots range from the buff-faced pygmy parrot of New Guinea at 8.4 cm (3.3 in) to the hyacinth macaw of South America at 100 cm (39.4 in). A large part of the macaw's length is attributable to its long tail, and it is probably outweighed by the very large (60 cm/23.6 in) but short-tailed palm cockatoo of New Guinea.

Oh those snobby cephalopods! Watching crabs run around on a mere big screen isn't good enough for them, they want that crisp, sharp, HD quality or they're just not convince, said researchers from Macquarie University in Australia. The research team "collected gloomy octopuses" from Sydney Harbor and showed them HD videos of crabs, another octopus, and the last video was of a boring jar.

They have tried to go formaldehyde free, but I suspect those manufactured joists in the roof are the usual particle board. The large yachts that have over 65 meters are the more sophisticated ones that stand put among the others. With four decks above water and two below, some have 30 to 50 square meters suites, revolving beds, all equipped with TV, bar, air conditioning, computers, DVDs, satellite communication and beauty salons. Even more, some are likely to incorporate a landing platform for helicopters, cinemas, libraries and dancing rooms. No luxury is restricted even though you are on water.

Luxury yachts are commonly called mega yachts (their length vary around 34m or over) or super yachts (their length vary around 70m or over). They have become increasingly trendy representing a symbol of wealth and prosperity. The Mediterranean and the Caribbean Seas are swarmed with luxury yachts. Due to their high maintenance, some choose to operate them as businesses charters, charging from 30,000 Euros up to 600,000 Euros per week. Because of this, the luxury yacht industry runs effectively, providing good income to the owners. Moreover, many find it more convenient to charter luxury yachts than own one, which is highly expensive. This way they also have the liberty to pick a different location, boat type or crew each time they charter another luxury yacht.

Maryland law requires that a charity run the raffle, so Walters teamed up with the Annapolis-based We Care and Friends. The charity, which helps at-risk youths, was set to receive 10 percent of the proceeds if Walters reached his goal of selling 31,500 tickets, said president and founder Larry Griffin.

Karen McHale didn’t bother telling her husband last month that she had purchased two raffle tickets for the chance to win a million-dollar house in Edgewater. The Idaho Springs, Colo., woman viewed the $100 she spent as a contribution to a Maryland charity, not an opportunity to actually acquire out-of-state property.
