I was just looking back on my last post and realized how much has happened since then! The biggest thing to happen that has also hindered my ability to post (and keep up with fellow bloggers) is that my laptop died. The logic board gave out and while they could fix it for a price it is more cost effective in my life right now to just get a new one. So now I am just waiting for that to arrive and am lucky if I get to check my email on a daily basis.

I am also starting Grad school in the fall (or a few weeks) which I know will hinder my posting but I am going to give my best effort to keep up. I am not one to brag but I am starting in a program that is one of the top ten in the country and only accepts twelve people a year. So it's going to be a very busy two years. It's not a program you can do while working a regular job; it's a very intense program. But I am very excited for the challenge.

In the meantime I appreciate you sticking with me and I hope to be up and running very soon, so check back often!

I apologize for going mia for quite a while there and then changing the look of my blog and not posting anything. I am still working on the redesign and promise that I am recording any looks I wear to share with you just a little late. To be honest, I have been so busy lately that I have gone without eyeshadow most days! Not too long and I will be up and running again!

Okay, there is an extremely good reason as to why I am already behind. On Sunday, during my morning walk with my cute little 20 lb terrier mix my dog was attacked by a pit bull mix! The other dog was not on a leash and bit right into my baby. I then rushed him to the vets and thank god he is alright. The dog just barely missed his jugular! He was bit really bad and has stitches and tubes and has to wear one of those cones so that he doesn't chew them! Its so sad looking. I don't have any children yet, so he is my child and to watch him being attacked like that was really hard. So the last thing I was worried about was my makeup. But he is home now and is going for a checkup tomorrow and I will keep you posted. And will keep up with the days and make up the ones I missed!

It is no secret to my friends and family that Christmas is my favorite time of year. There is something about this time of year, the music, the excitement, the decorations that just brings out the child in me. And as a makeup lover the holidays are a wonderful time for gift sets and new releases in pretty packages. I just love it! So in honor of the holidays this year I am going to do a new look everyday from now (Dec 1st) till Christmas using the All Wrapped Up collection from last holiday season.

The collection came with six mini eye colors in a cute little box that I know keep my earrings in! The eye colors are all named after holiday type things and loving the holidays so much I was a sucker, but I didn't get to enjoy it for the holidays last year because I got it for Christmas. When bare escentuals announced that they were releasing pressed shadows I was so excited. When they launched and came with a sponge applicator I will admit I was disappointed. One of the main reasons why I was so excited about the pressed shadows was so that I could easily travel with my beloved BE, but with the sponge applicators I still had to bring extra brushes. So when I saw the holiday 8.0 palettes came with a double ended brush I knew I needed them...both. So I bought them at the preview sale because there was no way I could wait to have them.

So I have had both the playlist and the cocktail hour for a while now and I have to say, I have no complaints. While I have not traveled with them yet, they have been my go to eye shadow when I am at all in a hurry. Rather than having to find a bunch of different pots and opening them separately, I just grab this and all the shadows I need for a complete eye look in the palm of my hand. The colors are so pigmented and gorgeous. It comes with, Pumped, Chart Topper, Max Volume, Louder, One Hit Wonder, Most Requested, Remix, Speaker Box. When I was at the Outlet yesterday they had selected kits on sale for 20% off and finally the Foiled Eye Kit was one sale. makeover from BE outlet

I had a makeover at the BE Outlet today as part of the Preview Night Event. At the outlets they were featuring "old" products that they have just received, such as The Women of BE, Mayan Rivera Kit, Earthy Elegance Eye Shadow Palette, a ton of new retired Buxom lip glosses and more. As part of the makeovers you could choose any of the new products to be used so I decided to try some colors from the Women of BE kit as I will probably never buy it. Unfortunately my lip gloss wore off before I got a chance to take photos but everything else stayed put.
