It has remarkable anti aging properties.&lt;br /&gt;

Resveratrol is found primarily in the skin and seeds of grapes. Fresh grape skin contains about 50 to 100 micrograms of resveratrol per gram. Red wine typically contains between 0.2 and 5.8 mg/L, depending on a range of factors, while white wine has much less. . This is because most of the resveratrol in grapes is located in the skin of the grape, and red wine is fermented with the skins of the grape included, allowing the wine to absorb it; by contrast, white wine is fermented after the skins have been removed.&lt;br /&gt;

Resveratrol have anti fungal and other defensive properties . It can inhibit oxidation of low-density lipoproteins and aggregation of platelets and &amp;nbsp;has anti aging properties.&lt;br /&gt;

Results from a new study published in Free Radical Biology and Medicine suggest that eating grapes can slow or prevent age related blindness. The antioxidant actions of grapes are believed to be responsible for these protective effects.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
"The protective effect of the grapes in this study was remarkable, offering a benefit for vision at old age even if grapes were consumed only at young age," said principal investigator Silvia Finnemann, PhD, Department of Biological Sciences, Fordham University in New York.&lt;br /&gt;

Results from her study suggest that age-related vision loss is a result of cumulative, oxidative damage over time. "A lifelong diet enriched in natural antioxidants, such as those in grapes, appears to be directly beneficial for RPE and retinal health and function."&lt;br /&gt;

Age-related mascular degeneration is a progressive eye condition, leading to the deterioration of the center of the retina, called the macula. It is the leading cause of blindness in the elderly. Aging of the retina is associated with increased levels of oxidative damage, and oxidative stress is thought to play a pivotal role in the development of AMD.&lt;br /&gt;

Weight loss contests, especially the Biggest Loser, where obese people drop insane amounts of body weight - like 10, 15 or even 20 lbs in a week - have become extremely popular. Many people say they get incredibly inspired and motivated watching these huge weight losses take place right before their eyes. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I agree that fitness contests are a powerful motivational catalyst. But I also believe that there are some fatal flaws in contests that encourage rapid “weight loss.” That’s why I finally decided to host my own body transformation contest - the “Burn The Fat Challenge”…&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But Our Contest Was NOTHING Like The Biggest Loser…&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Our fitness contest is different because it’s a "body composition transformation" contest - not just a “weight loss” contest.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you’re not hip to what “body composition” means, then the results of our first contest are going to blow your mind: Josh, the men’s champ, and Ryan one of the top finalists, both only lost one pound.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You might be thinking, “what kind of weird body transformation contest were you running where the winner and the finalists only drop a pound?”&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Well, it might seem weird if you thought success at body transformation ONLY meant dropping large amounts of weight on the scale, but…&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
What About The Difference Between Fat Loss and Weight Loss?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
What if you gain muscle while losing weight? Think about this - if you gain muscle in a weight loss contest, you get penalized, right? But shouldn’t you be REWARDED for gaining muscle as well as burning fat? Wouldn’t that be the ultimate prize?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
That’s the fatal flaw of “weight loss” contests: Most people are obsessed with scale weight but don’t pay any attention to their body composition - the all-important fat-to-muscle ratio.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Of course, some of the contestants in our last Burn The Fat Challenge contest DID drop a lot of weight - 14, 19, even 26 lbs in only 7 weeks (49 days). In our upcoming 98 day challenge those amounts could be double that. But the person who drops the most pounds is not necessarily voted the winner in the Burn The Fat Challenge.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Some contestants became winners because they made astonishing improvements in their muscle to fat ratio, even though they didn’t lose much weight.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For example, Josh lost LESS than a pound because the solid new muscle weight replaced the fat weight. He looks leaner AND more muscular, but the scale hardly changed at all!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
How Gaining LEAN Muscle While Losing Fat Helps Women Get Fit, Sexy and Bikini-Ready…&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Burn the Fat System works for women too, and replacing fat with muscle is EXACTLY what most women need, but aren’t getting, because most women are worried about getting “bulky.”&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Women who don’t train for more muscle are making a BIG mistake! What most women don’t realize is that if you strip off fat AT THE SAME TIME as you put on lean muscle, you don’t get bulky - you get strong and sexy!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The idea that women who gain muscle will look bulky or masculine is completely false (except for women who take anabolic steroid drugs, and I would NEVER recommend that!)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
One of our female champs, Sarah, gained an astonishing 7 pounds of muscle during one of our previous Burn the Fat contests. Her body transformation puts to rest the idea that women get bulky from gaining muscle. They also reveal why the scale can play tricks on you…&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sarah actually GAINED a pound of bodyweight according to the scale, increasing from 119 to 120 pounds, BUT her body fat decreased from 19% to a ripped 12.6%.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
These results are definitely not typical. Most people don’t lose 7 pounds of fat weight and replace it with 7 pounds of muscle weight in 7 weeks. More typical results might be 1-2 pounds per week of fat lost (7-14 pounds in 7 weeks) and, if you do everything right, 2 or 3 pounds of muscle gained at the same time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
However, these body composition transformations do show what is possible with hard work, a goal, support and accountability.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3 Things You Must Know To Make Body Transformations Like These&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
My fat burning programs have helped dozens of men and women lose over 100 pounds, and up to as much as 256 pounds. Why then, did I share the success stories above, where there was virtually no “weight loss”, instead of 100+ pound massive weight loss stories - the kind so popular on TV shows today?&lt;br /&gt;

1. I wanted you to see real-world proof that it IS possible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time…&lt;br /&gt;

3. I wanted you to finally give up the notion that weight loss is the only goal that matters&lt;br /&gt;

You may have a lot of weight to lose (body fat), but weight loss is not all there is to a body transformation.&lt;br /&gt;

Some people are not seriously overweight, but they are seriously unhappy with their bodies.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div&gt;Bend the fingers and grab the left hand with the right hand with the palm facing inward so that both the hands are clasped.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Exhale and vigorously pull the hands apart without releasing the grip.&lt;br /&gt;

The hands are in front of the chest and this action will tense the muscles of the upper arm and the chest area.&lt;br /&gt;

Inhale and let go of the tension&lt;br /&gt;

National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey&lt;span style="font-size: x-small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;( NHANES&lt;/em&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; is a survey research program conducted by the&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;National center for health statistics &lt;span style="font-size: x-small;"&gt;( NCHS &lt;strong&gt;)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt; to assess the&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;health&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;nutritional status&lt;/em&gt; of adults and children in the united states and track the changes overtime. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The survey combines interviews and physical examinations. The interview includes demographic, socioeconomic, dietary and health related questions. The examination component consists of&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;medical&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;denta&lt;/em&gt;l and &lt;em&gt;physiologica&lt;/em&gt;l measurements as well as laboratory tests administered by medical personals.&lt;br /&gt;

The first&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;NHANES&lt;/em&gt; was conducted in 1971. Findings from the survey are used to determine the prevalence of major diseases and risk factors for diseases. Information from the survey are used to assess the &lt;em&gt;nutritional status&lt;/em&gt; and its association with &lt;em&gt;health promotion&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;disease prevention&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;

A lot of people do not even notice that they have been won over by a simple smile - thus, making even that a tool for subliminal persuasion. It is essential in &lt;a href="http://gg709.mikecpa.hop.clickbank.net/"&gt;becoming an influential leader.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You can subliminally persuade another person through two techniques: via his or her own words, and via inflection, or the particular words we give emphasis to in a given statement. A simple sentence like "I can't assure you that" can have a lot of meanings, depending on which word you have inflected. See the examples below.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I can't assure you that. (But somebody else probably can)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I can't assure you that. (No way that will happen!)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I can't assure you that. (But, if you're lucky, you might get it.)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I can't assure you that. (But I can if it's somebody else.)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I can't assure you that. (Maybe I can assure you something else.)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Giving off what we mean via inflection is subtle. It will also help spare you from being overtly direct, especially if you're the type who hates the thought of turning someone down. Understanding which words to emphasize will save you from this awkward moment (yet you still get to have things go your way).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Another way to subliminally persuade other people is to have them eventually agree with you without them noticing it (because they thought it was their idea). This is a rather tricky method of persuasion and not many people might agree with it. But, hey, it works! &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When negotiating, repeat what the other person said and then show how you will be able to achieve what they want for them. Be consistent so you don't run the risk of contradicting yourself. As long as you have what the other party needs, you hold an advantage.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Here's an example. Let's say you're trying to sell used cars to a friend. After listening to the other person tell you what he or she is looking for in a used car, emphasize the items being sought in the vehicles you have in your roster. It will be difficult for the other party to say 'no' since you already have what he or she said he or she needed. This is what subliminal persuasion is; and when employed the right way, it works like a charm every time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There's nothing bad about using such clever persuasion techniques to get what you want. That's the way life is played. This is how the rest of the world operates. The important thing is always go for the win-win resolution. If your persuasion skills are powerful enough (and even cunning enough), you'll have no trouble winning people over.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Some like to call this influence; some argue this is foolery. However you might choose to view it, it is effective. And it won't be a surprise if you attempt to employ these effective strategies in the future; that is, if you haven't already applied them in the past.&lt;br /&gt;

QUESTION: Tom, what about alcohol? How does that fit into your burning fat program? I am not talking binge drinking, just one or two a day.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
John&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
ANSWER: Hi John. A couple drinks on the weekend and or on special ocassions probably won't have any major impact on your fat loss results (although I would encourage you to consider the mindset that EVERYTHING you do either helps or hurts).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A drink or two on ocassion is a part of enjoying life for many people, and it's important to find lifestyle balance for the sake of your long term happiness and success.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
However, I do not recommend drinking every day.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
"A couple every day" adds a LOT of extra calories to your daily diet. If you're talking about two 150-calorie beers, thats 300 calories extra a day or 2100 extra calories a week.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Multiply that out for a year and you have 109,200 extra calories! WOW! That's potentially 31.2 pounds of fat in a year.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you DO account for the calories in those drinks, then you have another conundrum - the alcohol calories displace good valuable food calories ...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Drinking gives you empty alcohol calories with virtually no nutritional value (and some negative value in more way than one), while pushing out important vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, fiber and other good stuff.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Alcohol also inhibits fat burning. While your liver is busy metabolizing alcohol, it puts your fat metabolism on hold. That's why I do NOT recommend any drinking when you are on a fat loss program (at least if you are serious about it).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When you are on a regular, year-round lifestyle / maintenance program I recommend that if you drink, you do so in moderation, keep it to special occasions or weekends and remember to factor in those calories to your daily intake.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
By the way, there's a major risk to drinking every day - even just one or two - that most people don't even think about:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Daily drinking is habit forming. Anything you do every day easily becomes a habit that is difficult to break later.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On the other hand, if you could establish the habit of eating 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables and getting some exercise every single day, those would be habits worth forming! :-)&lt;br /&gt;

This substance can increase belly fat and consuming even small amounts (2% of total energy intake) is consistently linked to coronary heart disease. The research also says that this stuff can increase visceral fat, contribute to insulin resistance, increase risk of type 2 diabetes, increase bad cholesterol, decrease good cholesterol, trigger systemic inflammation and adversely affect almost every cell in your body. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What substance could be so harmful that it causes all of these health problems and yet is so prevalent in our food supply that most people are eating dangerous amounts every single day? This industrially manufactured ingredient is called Trans fatty acids (TFA’s).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;TFA’s are not found in nature, with the exception of some ruminant-derived TFA’s in certain dairy products (usually contributing less than 0.5% of total caloric intake). TFA’s come mostly from the industrial hydrogenation of vegetable oils, which alters the natural cis configuration of the oils to the trans configuration. If you see “partially hydrogenated” oil in the ingredients list of any food product, then it contains TFA’s.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;TFA’s have been studied for decades, but were largely ignored until the past several years. Research papers linking trans fats to heart disease date back to the 1970’s. In 1994, the Center for Science in the Public Interest petitioned the Food and Drug Administration to put trans fats on food labels (didn’t happen until 2006). Since 2006, TFA’s have thankfully received a decent amount of publicity when they were in the news regarding new food labeling laws and the banning of their use in restaurants in some states.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;New studies have been published in the past year confirming the dangers of TFA’s. Four recent studies indicated 24, 20, 27 and 32% higher risk of myocardial infarction (MI) or CHD death for every 2% energy of TFA consumption isocalorically replacing carbohydrate, SFA, cis monounsaturated fatty acids and cis polyunsaturated fatty acids, respectively. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;TFA intake in the United States still averages 2-3% of total energy intake, 4% in some developing countries where fast food is being introduced and as high as 8-10% in certain subgroups (who eat large amounts of baked goods, fried foods, pastries, doughnuts, etc). The government recommended maximum is 1% of total energy intake (2 grams!). Some experts say there is NO safe level of TFA intake.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Legislation has been enacted in some states banning the use of TFAs in restaurants. It was big news New York. As of 2008, 11 cities and counties have adopted regulations to restrict TFA use in restaurants. However, industrial TFA use is still widespread and lots of people are still scarfing them down every day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If Trans fats are so dangerous, why is their use so widespread? Dietary fat expert Udo Erasmus put it this way: “TFA’s are a food manufacturer’s dream: an unspoilable substance that lasts forever.” TFA’s are cheap and for countless food products, they can prolong shelf life, allow easy transport, provide solidity at room temperature (to make spreads), and increase suitability for commercial frying. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Although most people have heard of TFA’s, the bad news is that this increased awareness has not been enough to translate into behavior change. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A study recently published in the Journal of The American Dietetic Association (ADA) found that in 2007, 73% of Americans knew that TFA’s increased risk of heart disease, compared to 63% in 2006. However, the bad news is that 79% of Americans could not name 3 foods that contain trans fats. 46% of Americans could not name any sources of trans fats on their own.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Knowledge about food sources of fats remains low” says Robert Eckel, professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Public health messages have been raising awareness, but they haven’t been enough. “TFA’s are bad for you.” Ok, so now what? What you really need are some simple behavior guidelines and a list of foods to eat very infrequently if you eat them at all.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are some good places for you to start.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4 Ways to Avoid Trans Fatty Acids &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Eat mostly foods that do not have a label. At the risk of stating the obvious, if you don’t eat anything that comes in a box or package with a label, then you won’t ever consume manmade TFA’s. If your diet consists primarily of fruits, fibrous vegetables, root vegetables, beans, legumes, brown rice, unprocessed whole grains, nuts, seeds, eggs, fish and lean meats, you’re home free. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Watch for label loopholes. WARNING: Food companies are lying to you on their product labels to make you think their foods are TFA-free. The front of their package may say “ZERO grams of trans fats,” and yet there is hydrogenated oil listed in the ingredients. How could that be? There is a label loophole where the government allows companies to claim zero trans fats if there is less than a half a gram per serving. So the food companies sneakily manipulate their serving sizes until the servings are so small that the TFA content falls below the per serving limit. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Read ingredients lists. The primary source of TFA’s is partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. In particular, soybean, sunflower, cottonseed and palm oils are frequently hydrogenated. Your first step then, is to read food labels on any packaged products and look at the ingredients list. If it contains partially hydrogenated oils, it contains TFA’s.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Avoid foods that contain TFA’s most of the time. TFA’s are commonly found in baked goods (bakery), fried foods and packaged convenience foods, especially:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;cookies*&lt;br /&gt;crackers*&lt;br /&gt;biscuits*&lt;br /&gt;pastries*&lt;br /&gt;pies*&lt;br /&gt;doughnuts*&lt;br /&gt;packaged frozen foods (breaded chicken, breaded fish, etc)&lt;br /&gt;corn chips&lt;br /&gt;potato chips&lt;br /&gt;packaged popcorn&lt;br /&gt;some breads&lt;br /&gt;frostings&lt;br /&gt;french fries (fried potatoes)&lt;br /&gt;taco shells&lt;br /&gt;margarines and spreads&lt;br /&gt;shortening&lt;br /&gt;some salad dressings&lt;br /&gt;some candies&lt;br /&gt;some artificial cheeses&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* major food sources for American adults&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2002 when I published the first edition of my ebook, Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle, I warned my readers of the dangers of trans fatty acids. I was not the only one either. Years ahead of the 2006 law requiring trans fats to be listed on food labels and the 2007-2008 restaurant TFA bans, numerous health professionals were already warning people to stay away from TFA’s. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Not enough people heeded the warnings, while meanwhile, politics and commercial interests delayed legislation. No doubt, skyrocketing rates of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease can be largely linked to the continued use of these artificial fake food additives. In the US alone, 1,700,000 new cases of diabetes, 233,600 diabetes-related deaths, 600,000 myocardial infarctions and 451,300 coronary heart disease-related deaths are reported every year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A campaign for better education and lifestyle change is worth supporting. As researchers from Harvard said, “A comprehensive strategy to eliminate the use of industrial TFA in both developed and developing countries, including education, food labeling, and policy and legislative initiatives, would likely prevent tens of thousands of CHD events worldwide each year.” &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For a healthy and balanced lifestyle, and for better long-term compliance, I’m rarely in favor of tagging any foods as totally “forbidden” or to use words as strong as “poison” in describing foods. But if there are any exceptions, trans fats are one of them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are unable or unwilling to eliminate TFA’s from your diet completely, then you would be wise for the sake of your health and your family’s health, to keep foods containing TFA’s to a bare minimum and avoid eating any TFA-laden foods on a daily basis. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last, but not least, be on guard, because history tells us that when one harmful food additive is banned, it is often replaced with another, which is sometimes even worse.
