7 Ways to Know God Loves You

God shows his love for us in so many ways. The first and most important act of love was that He gave his son, Jesus, so that we would have everlasting life. This was the ultimate sacrifice that has ever been made in the name of love. He did this to show his love toward us, even while we were sinners.

Here are seven ways to know God loves YOU:

God Loves You

God loves YOU! This is the greatest truth in the entire world! His love sets you free. His love helps you to love yourself and others. God loves you so much He sent His only begotten Son to live and die for you so that you would be able to live with Him forever in heaven.

New Life

When you accept Christ, you get a new life. God loves you so much that he not only gave his son so you would have eternal life, but he washed all your sins away to give you another chance, a new life, which is in Christ Jesus.

He Carries Our Troubles

God encourages us to cast all our cares on him, because he cares for us. What a compassionate God we serve. He wants to carry our burdens. He wants us to trust him enough to give our cares to him. Just like our children come to us when something is wrong, that is how God wants us to come to him.

Forgiveness

God shows his love as he forgives us everyday. He shows us how to forgive others and he continually forgives us for the wrongs we do and he continues to love us no matter what the sin.

Personal Relationship

There is nothing that we cannot share with God. He can be our most intimate friend with whom we can share anything. We can go to him with our problems, our hurts, pain, fears, and shortcomings. And if we go to him in true repentance and a changed heart, He is just and faithful to forgive us; nothing will separate us from his love.

Grace

Sometimes God blesses us just because he wants to. We have not done anything great or wonderful to deserve the goodness of God, but he sees us as wonderful through the blood of Jesus, and deserving of a blessing.

Healing

Although there may be suffering in life, Our Father doesn’t want to see us in pain and hurting. He heals our broken hearts, bodies, and minds. He loves us so much that when we seek him out, he can and will heal us.

How to Demonstrate the Love Of God

Love can be hard when you come across someone who seems unlovable. They may have harsh words when they speak to you, or they may do things that hurt your feelings and you wonder how you can love this person.

Well the good news is if God can love you and me with all of our short comings, and issues, we can ask him to help us love others the same way. It will not always feel good because it will be a struggle to overcome the selfish nature we have to automatically protect ourselves and to retaliate.

Demonstrate the love of God by showing kindness regardless of the situation. No one said love would be easy. We are not focusing on the easy to love but those seemingly unlovable people who you run into time after time. Make a decision in your head and heart that you will show that person the love of God through kindness regardless of their reaction. Do this enough times and you will begin to see the power of love in action. Slowly that cold barrier will start to dissolve.

Another way to show the love of God is to be deliberate about loving others in your actions and words. Once you decide how you will do this, the actual love acts will become easier and you will begin to feel joy about how you are positively impacting others for Christ.

Being slow to anger is another demonstration of the love of God. There are times when you may be tired and not have much patience, but remember that God shows us mercy every day and we need to do the same for our brothers and sisters.

Protect your relationships from the enemy by being willing to forgive and really forget if another has offended you. This can be challenging when someone close to you hurts you but you can forgive with God’s help. This not only shows God’s love, but it strengthens our connections as the body of Christ.

Show love by thinking of others before you think of yourself. Jesus was the greatest example of this by his death on the cross. We need to die to ourselves everyday as a witness to the love of Christ on this earth.

Keep trying to show the love of God to everyone you meet. Think of ways you can change someone’s life though an act of love. Love is powerful; give it freely and often.

Giving God Thanks for His Great Love!

February is the "Love" month as people celebrate Valentine's Day. I thought it fitting to start the month of February giving God thanks for His great love. There's no greater or purer love than that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Obviously, there's a great many Scriptures that demonstrates just how great God's love is for His children; however, I chose the following three:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

“But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13).

Father God, I thank You that You loved the world so much that You gave Your one and only Son – Jesus Christ – that whoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Thank You, Father God, that we don’t have to be perfect or get ourselves together first, or work to earn Your love or salvation. Jesus already paid the price (ransom) for every human being on the planet!

Thank You, Father God, that You demonstrated Your own love toward us while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. You already knew ahead of time all the sin we would commit and the rebellious heart we would have; You even knew we would reject Your Son Jesus. Yet, Jesus was still willing to die a horrific death on the cross so that we would be redeemed from eternal damnation and be reconciled to You Father.

Thank You. Lord for such a deep abiding love that You have toward each one of us! Thank You for the blood of Jesus that saves, heals, delivers, protects, loves, and covers a multitude of sin!

Thank You, Father, that the love of Jesus brings healing to families, individuals, and even to the nations of the world that would receive it. Thank You, Lord, that Your love never fails!

Prayer does not need to be a flowery speech; its how we talk to God. We pray when we want to communicate thanksgiving or a need to our Heavenly Father. He is the source of our strength ^[1] and every one of our prayers is heard by Him. He not only listens and answers our prayers ^[2]; He also tells us how to pray. We see the model for prayer as given by Jesus in Matthew 6 ^[3]. I list the model below amongst these ten powerful prayers for strength.

Step Out Into The Deep!

One thing I have learn and continue to learn is that you MUST take your dreams, goals, and vision out of your head, put it onto paper, and then into the world, it will stay in your head or on paper and your frustration will INCREASE until you STEP out in FAITH!! YOU have to put feet to your dreams. You, I, and anyone else who wants to accomplish something of great of value have to understand that it will involve risks! Not irresponsible risks but calculated risks. Count the cost is what the Bible says.

If it's a God-given dream/vision, trust me, the desire will NOT die or go away!! God is patient with us but if we take too long to ACT, He will give the assignment to someone else who is willing to step out into the deep and TRUST HIM!! The longer we wait, the more frustrated we become. Some have even given up on their dreams thinking it would never happen because that didn't have ALL their ducks in a row so to speak!

So many people who started out with nothing other than a strong desire, dream, and vision and succeeded!! If people that can from other countries to our “land of opportunity” with NO money, relatives, or "support", WHY can't WE do it? WE born and live in a land of opportunities! So, what is it that kills so many dreams before they have a chance to be born? FEAR...FEAR...FEAR!! This ugly FEAR comes in so many forms and can be very subtle!! IF we had EVERYTHING "before" we get started, why would we need God's help?

God will NEVER give any one person a dream, vision, or goal that she/he can accomplish on her/his own! Whether people believe it or not, without God's help we are very limited!! We NEED God. He causes resources from unexpected places, and He brings the right people to come along to help, etc. It's called God’s FAVOR! And favor can take you places where money can't take you!

If we never get out of the boat, we will never know how far and deep our dreams and goals God's placed in our hearts will reach! WE cannot afford to allow the enemy of FEAR, DOUBT, and PROCRASTINATION to kill our spiritual baby or cause us to comment spiritual abortion! EVERY worthwhile goal or dream will involve RISKS!! The only guarantee that we have is GOD and His Word! It will NEVER return void! His Word is stamped and approved with the BLOOD of JESUS!!

It's TIME to get out of the boat and into the deep! Please realize not everyone will celebrate you or embrace your dreams and goals or when you get out of the boat of comfort! You just have to bless them and keep it moving!! Like my pastor said in a recent sermon series "I DARE YOU!" I dare you to step out of the boat and into the deep and pursue your God-given dreams, goals, and vision.

Be encouraged today by the Word of God:

"In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether they both alike will be good” (Eccles. 11:6).

Freedom From Fear

One of the most debilitating emotions that we can experience is fear. Fear is so destructive because it causes us to hide, think, believe, and act small. Fear can paralyze you preventing you from doing the things you love. It keeps many of us stuck, experience lost opportunities, and the list can go on and on. God does not want any of His children bound by a spirit of fear; He wants you to live in total freedom from fear.

One of the worst things about fear is it causes us disobey God by giving into the fear causing us to live in unbelief or lack of faith in God’s Word and what He has promised us as children of God. Fear also causes us to fail to see ourselves through the eyes of a loving, forgiving and merciful God.

The great news for you today is this. If you are a born again, spirit-filled child of God, you have been given freedom from fear the moment you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life! However, it will take faith to appropriate the promise of freedom in Christ Jesus. John 8:36 says, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” You appropriate this promise in God’s Word by decreeing and declaring it over your self daily until faith come, if the fear in your life is greater than your faith at the moment.

Fear is based on a spirit of deception and lies or perversion, which are tools that the devil uses to contaminate your faith by using toxic people, thoughts, words, and images to produce fear in your life. There is only one way to counterattack the spirit of fear and that is the spirit of truth – God’s Word.

You can be set free from Satan’s lies by knowing the truth; however, you must read and study the Word of God in order to know what the truth is when you hear it. You speak the truth of God’s Word until it manifests in your life and you can testify that you are walking in freedom from fear. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

How to Appropriate Your Freedom From Fear

Admit the truth to God and yourself that you have fear
Confess and repent for being fearful to God
Renounce the spirit of fear and its right to be in your life
Take authority over the spirit of fear (Luke 10:19) by binding it in the name of Jesus
Declare the truth of God’s Word out loud, making it a part of your daily life until faith comes and you’re living a life of freedom from fear

Never forget that God is and always will be our source of freedom from fear. Remember, Jesus is the wonderful Counselor and Prince of Peace – Jehovah Shalom!

You Have to Switch to Make the Shift

How do you get from where you are to where God wants you to be? In other words, how do you get to the other side of where God is beckoning you to go? One of the first things that will be required is change! It is a change in mindset or a paradigm shift.

For some of us, it may mean a change in patterns of behaviors or habits that are destructive to our lives and keeps us playing small, thinking small, and believing small when God’s created us think big and to do big things for Him.

Doing big things for God requires a certain mindset and thought process. You will have to tear down and uproot some things out of your life. That will require you to switch from what’s not working in your life so that you can shift in the direction of the purpose-driven life God ordained for your life.

Definitions:

Switch: (1) to turn, shift, or divert. (2) To connect, disconnect, or redirect. (3) To change direction or course, turn, shift, or change.

Shift: (1) to move from one place, position, etc. to another. (2) To manage to get along or succeed. (3) To change gears in driving an automobile.

In order to be able to switch to make the shift to where God wants to take you, it is important to locate yourself so that you know where you are and what needs switching in your life. I’m going to use the shifting gears of a car (Drive, Park, Reverse, and Neutral) to describe four types of people:

Drive means to do something, to keep going; to make an effort to reach or obtain; aim, a united effort to accomplish some purpose. This is a person who knows her purpose and is actively pursuing God’s will for her life. She’s motivated and on the go for God! This woman is a woman whose attitude is like that of the Apostle Paul when he said, “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ (Philippians 3: 14).

Park means to put or leave (an automobile, etc.) for a time in a particular place, as on the street. The woman who is in Park tends to make a lot of excuses as to why she cannot do something or is not moving in the will of God for her life. She may not have clarity of her purpose or doesn’t know where she fits in God’s plan and because of this she lacks the motivation to move, so she doesn’t move at all or very little that it’s not noticeable to anyone. (Read John 5:1-7)

Reverse means opposite or contrary in position, direction, order, or character. In Gen 19, the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, the angels urged Lot to arise, take his wife and two daughters because they were going to destroy the city. According to verse 6, Lot lingered. Lingered means to remain or stay on in a place longer than is usual or expected, as if from reluctance.

In verse 17, the angels said to Lot “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you…” Then in verse 26 it says, “But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” By implication, she was reluctant to leave. Hebrews 10: 38 says, “Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

Neutral means of no particular kind, color, characteristics, indefinite. (Of a person or state) refraining from taking part in a controversy or war between others. “I know your work, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth” (Rev. 3:15, 16). Lukewarm means moderately warm; having or showing little zeal; indifferent.

This woman lacks zeal for the things of God and shows little to moderate interest in the seeking God for His will, plan, and purpose for her life. She may even sit and criticize those who are on the go or moving with God in her purpose.

What we put our focus on will determine whether or not we switch and shift successfully. You get more of whatever it is that you choose to focus on. Therefore, you must switch off any and all negative focus so that you can shift to a higher level of thinking. This requires that you switch from the “old man” or “old nature’s” ways of thinking and doing things by the renewing of your mind through the Word of God.

Here’s some things the Lord gave me that we must switch from in order to shift into the position and place He is leading many of us to. Again, locate where you currently are and seek God through prayer to help you to make the necessary transitions:

Switch from fear so you can shift into faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. You must switch from fear because it’s an enemy to your soul, purpose, and destiny in Christ. Seek God for deliverance from fear. Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the Lord and He heard me, and delivered me from ALL my fears.” It’s time to shift into faith. You cannot achieve God’s will, plan, and purpose for your life without faith! James 2:20 says, “…Faith without works is dead.”

Switch from your will so you can shift into God’s will for your life. Like Jesus, you and I must come to the place where we pray, nevertheless, not my will but your will be done.” Psalm 143:10 says, “Teach me to do your will for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.”

Switch from a lack mentality so you can shift into an abundance mentality. 3 John 2 says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” If you are a child of
the King of kings, then you are king and priest, a royal priesthood of God.

Switch from a spirit of pride so you can shift into a spirit of humility. Pride is when knowing you need help but you refuse to ask for what you need because you think people are going to judge you, talk about you, or look at you differently. Yes, we are to seek God first and foremost for whatever we need; however, we must realize God’s answers to prayer are going to come through willing vessels, that is other people. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him in the first place.

Switch from toxic people so you can shift to right associations (1 Cor. 15:33). Your associations will either do one of 3 things: 1. Take you up (2) take you down (3) get you stuck. Obviously, you want to associate yourself with faith people who will take you up and empower you.

These are people who will keep you accountable, who genuinely care about you and believe in you. Your associations will positively or negatively impact you, your purpose, and your destiny in God. Where God is taking you, not everyone you’re currently connected with is ordained to go with you. God assigns people to our lives for a reason and often times it is for a season or for a lifetime covenant friendship.

Switch for a negative attitude and shift to a positive mindset full of the faith of God (Rom. 12:2). You have to change your negative attitude about yourself and whatever seemingly negative circumstance you find yourself in at the moment. Your attitude is the only thing you have the power to control and change with the help of the Holy Spirit. You cannot change the attitudes of other people. It is a waste of your time and energy trying to do so; you’ll only end up frustrated and miserable. God gave you control and power over your self, not other people; they will only rebel against you!

No matter where you are today with the help of the Lord you will successfully make the switch so God can shift you. Understand it will not always be easy and smooth sailing when making the switch you need to make.

There will be bumps along the journey and processes that you and I must go through. There is no skipping the process. You and I must also understand that God not only orders our steps but He also orders our stops.

My hope and pray is that you go away from this blog post with 5 things for you to consider and do:

1. Locate yourself in light what you’ve heard tonight. This is not a time for condemnation if you find you are not where you need to be or doing what you ought to be doing.
2. Know what you need to switch from in order to get ready to shift to the next level God wants to take you.
3. Take serious time to list at least 5 excuses that’s been hindering you moving into your purpose. Across the top of your paper of excuses write “God is Greater!”
4. Pray and ask God how you to eliminate those excuses and to help you implement them.
5. Whatever it takes prepare to shift into your purpose-driven life with Jesus Christ in the driver’s seat.

Prepare NOW for 2012

Wow! I can hardly believe that the year 2011 is fast coming to an end! Did you accomplish what you set out this year? Did you do what you said you would do? Those New Year's resolutions you made in 2010 for 2011 did you hit the mark?

I can honestly say, NO! I did not reach where I wanted to go in 2011! To further be honest with you, I did not set any significant goals and I sure as heck did not write them down. What about you?

The majority of people wait until New Years Day to start planning for what they want to do for the New Year. However, I am getting a head start for the New Year 2012, so when the New Year rolls in I already know what I need to be doing in order to accomplish my dreams and goals.

NOW is the time to start some serious planning, strategic planning! People make New Year's resolutions every year; however, by the end of January or March, all the excitement and momentum as long sense died out! To ensure that this does not happen to you and I, we really must take the time to pray and spend quiet, quality time with God. He knows what you need and what you are suppose to get done in 2012.

God says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

We really need to take time also to get to know ourselves, the gifts, talents, abilities, and creativity that God placed on the inside of our hearts. It's time to wake up those dreams and goals that has been lying dormant due to perhaps frustration, disappointment, and lack of support, encouragement, inspiration, and motivation. It's time to go back and pick up your dreams and take action toward making them come to pass with the help of God and supportive people.

Start thinking about what it is that you feel deep inside your heart that God is calling you to do. Pray and ask Him to give you His vision, goals, and plans for your life so that you can write it down, read it, and run with it! "Write the vision, make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it" (Habakkuk 2:2).

When setting your goals for 2012 and in the years to come, keep these S.M.A.R.T. things in mind as set your goals and create your plan of action:

S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Attainable
R - Relevant
T - Time Specific

A Specific goal is so clear and concise that there is no room for doubt as to where you're going.

A Measurable goal has a number associated with it that can be tracked.

An Attainable goal is one that you are either equipped to accomplish now or will be equipped to accomplish in the foreseeable future.

A Relevant goal is one that truly means something to you right now and that supports your vision.

A Time Specific goal is tied to an actual time period and feels like a deadline.

Your goals need to be based on things that deeply matter to you and are in line with your deeply held values. This will help to keep you motivated, inspired, and focused.

Keep these Scriptures in mind during your time of preparing your goals for 2012:

8 Ways to Total Life Balance

I believe one of the pieces to laying a solid foundation for success can be summed in one word – BALANCE! If you lean too much to just the money side of achieving your dreams or goals, you may find getting or arriving at the top of your field or business lonely. If you place too much emphasis on getting ahead and working endless hours, you may wake up one day to the harsh reality that you have no meaningful friendships or significant person in your life to love.

The best way to guard against these possible scenarios or others like them is to devise goals that include key areas of your life that are based upon your core values. For example, as a Christian woman, my values are (1) God first (2) family second (3) ministry or business, etc is third on my hierarchy of priorities; it is different for everyone.

Here are six tips to help you create a strong foundation six area of your life: (1) Faith (2) Family (3) Fitness (4) Finances (5) Friends and (6) Fun.

1. Faith. It is important to build yourself up spiritually and stay connected to God through prayer, praise, and worship, reading the Bible, and study Scripture. Doing these things every day consistently will help you be in tune for divine guidance, instruction, and direction for your family, health, business, etc.

2. Family. Family is one of the most important relationships you can have in life! If your home is not in order or falling apart, it will have a negative impact on every thing you do including your business. You may have the most wonderful wife or husband and children in the world, but if they are not nurtured and made to feel important, you jeopardize losing them. Devise a family mission statement and stick with. This will help you see when you are getting of course or imbalanced.

3. Fitness. We live in such a fast-paced society that we often neglect our physical health. The fact is you cannot neglect your physical health and expect to accomplish your dreams and goals. A sick or diseased body will limit how we pursue your dreams and goals – energetically or sluggishly; sharp thinking or dull thinking, etc. The best remedies for this is to plan and execute a regular exercise regimen and eat more healthy foods. Being emotionally healthy is just as important as physical health. Exercise your brain by reading inspiring and encouraging books, listen to tapes. Develop a personal development regimen.

4. Finance. Become a good steward of the financial blessings that come into your life through running your own business or as an employee. Know where your money is going. Set goals of how much income you want to generate, save, donate, and invest. Guard against greed! Develop a healthy attitude and relationship with money. It’s only a tool and when used properly can benefit and bless you, your family and those around you.

5. Friends. Next to having strong family connections friends are the second most important relationships in your life, and they need to be honored and nurtured as well. When others, including your family, fail to understand you sometimes, a close, trusting friend can really help keep you well grounded! You may only have one or two close friends, but that is more than most people have. So, hold onto them and do not work too much at pursuing your dreams and goals that you neglect your friends!

6. Fun. The old adage, “All work and no play makes a Jack a dull” still rings true today! It is so important to laugh and have fun, go places and do fun things! Have fun just for the sake of having fun!! It is a big stress reliever and is good for your overall health. It is not a healthy practice to work 18 hours or more 7 days a week! Take time to nurture yourself; it will rejuvenate you!

Using these tips will help to ensure a strong foundation of balance in your life so that you can build strong, healthy relationships while you pursue your dreams and goals.

Your Words DO Matter!

Our words have power to either create blessings or cursing into our lives, our families, and those around us! We have been given the same creative power that God has to create and frame our world because we were created in His image and likeness.

Let us learn to be careful of the words that we are speaking to ourselves and toward others! We are admonished in the Word of God to bless and not curse. We curse ourselves and others by the words that we speak. Any time we confess or say things about ourselves or toward others that are not in line with God's Word, we are cursing, not blessing. Purify Yourself Just As He Is Pure

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:2, 3).

When we are born again, by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are immediately (Now!) adopted into the family or household of God! After giving our lives to God, we are filled with many uncertainties and insecurities. We do not know what to do next, and it can be overwhelming!

Many of us have wondered what our lives would end up to be. We are not sure what to expect or what we are expected to do or how we are expected to behave. We come to Christ broken and bruised, lost and afraid, with damaged egos and with low or no self-esteem. We come into our new family trying everything we can do to fix ourselves up and seek to do better this time!

We try to love everybody, say all the right things and do all the right things, only to fail miserably! We fail because we think we know what has to change, so we attempt to change those things in our own strength, in our own way. We try to do the work that only God can do! We are incapable of changing ourselves. We must be willing to allow God to change us through the Holy Spirit and through His Word. We must allow God to form Christ in us!

Though we may wonder what we will be, we can trust God to work out all the details; He already has the blueprint for every member of His household. Like peeling back layers of an onion, God uncovers for us what needs to change and/or be destroyed in our lives. He begins to tear it away and like peeling that onion, it brings us to tears, all the while cleansing, healing, and delivering us from those things that seek to destroy us. Every vile, impure thing He uproots, destroys, and replaces them with the attributes of Christ. Christ is being formed in us from faith-to-faith and from glory-to-glory! This process is continual and lasts throughout our lifespan. During this continual process, Christ is being revealed in and through each of us!

The more we allow God to form Christ in us, the more He (Jesus) is revealed we become like Him, and we begin to see Him as He is while still living on this side of heaven. Those who are willing to pay the cost of following Jesus have their hope totally in Him. Their sincere desire is to be made more and more like Him. They put their faith to work by actively seeking the Holy Spirit for deeper revelation of Jesus. They read and study the Word, and get into the presence of God daily. They genuinely honor and serve God, and will do whatever it takes to keep himself pure, just as He is pure. There are several things this “sold-out” group of Christians do to purify themselves:

· He refuses to defile the temple of God through misuse of his body, whether through sexual sins or food.

· He will purify is heart through faith.

· He will not allow, “stinkin thinkin” to corrupt his thought life!

· He will honor the creative power that is in him by speaking only faith-filled words!

· He seeks God’s wisdom on a daily basis.

· He does not practice sin.

· He quickly repents when he commit sin.

· He guards his heart with all diligence.

· He meditates on God’s Word daily.

· He walks and lives in the spirit.

· He mortifies the deeds of his body.

· He praises, pray, and worships God daily.

· He intercedes for others.

· Builds himself up through his most holy faith.

Of course, there are many other ways we can purify ourselves. The above list is just a few things that we can do to help us in our quest to become and maintain purity in our lives and to live holy for the Lord.

Jesus is revealed in the earth when we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, comfort those who mourn; every act of unconditional love we show, every word of encouragement, every sick person we lay hands on, pray for and lead to the Lord shows forth the revelation of Jesus Christ living in and through us. Every time we allow the Holy Spirit to use us to do the works of Jesus, He is being revealed to a dying and perverse generation, who is looking for the answer that only we (Christians) have! Jesus is the answer; He is the way, the truth, and the life! Let us open wide our mouths and proclaim the Good News!

What is Your Mindset?

It’s so easy to blame demonic spirits for the negative things that happen t us. If we find ourselves always claiming it’s the devil, then we deceive ourselves, glorify the devil, giving him credit when he has absolutely nothing to do it. We deceive ourselves because we fail to take responsibility for our own thoughts and lives!

Taking responsibility means that we have to own our thought life and ask ourselves some really tough questions: “What doors did “I” open for demonic influences to enter in?” “What kind of mindset do I have?” “Am I filled with truth (God’s Word)?” or “Am I filled with falsehood (Satan’s lies)?” “Am I practicing sin?” and the list can go on and on.

A godly mindset is full of the knowledge and wisdom of God’s Word. A person with this type of mindset speaks the Word in the good times and in the not so good times. They know who they are and whose they are. They know how to skillfully and effectively use the delegated authority and power God has given to them.

On the other hand, a person who has a demonic mindset is influenced by what the enemy tells them because they are ignorant of the truth of God’s Word because they fail to study the Word of truth and rightfully divide the Word of truth, so they are easily deceived. Or, they know they Word but they fail to believe what the Word of God promises them and fail to believe who God says that they are in Christ. They are basically snared by the words of their own mouth!

Christians with this type of mindset speak the lies that they hear the devil whisper into their ears. They lack confidence in God, self-esteem, and simply fail to see themselves as God sees them. They lack faith because they speak fear, which creates or frames their world of defeat.

Sometimes we fluctuate between these two mindsets, but it’s time to become steadfast and unmovable in the Word of truth! It is time that we take our lives and thought life back from the hands of the enemy, whose only mission is to kill, steal, and destroy us any way that he can.

It’s time to get in agreement with God’s Word so that we develop a mindset that brings glory and honor to His mighty name and be a witness to world of the goodness of our God! It’s time that we take the necessary time and energy to renew our minds to conform to the Word of God and not conform to this world’s way of thinking and doing things. The bottom line is if we do not have the mind of Christ then we have the mind of the enemy. God’s Word instructs us to choose this day whom we will serve and to choose life. Speaking God’s Word always brings life and peace and speaking Satan’s words only brings death and destruction.

5 Questions to Help You Find Your Purpose

Many people live their lives in quiet desperation because they settle for careers or jobs that they have no passion for and absolutely hate! Many wonder what their life purpose is and how to find it.

Are you tired of just existing? Are you tired coming home exhausted from working in job or career you hate and it's stealing your energy? The problem could be that you're in the wrong job or career! It could be a sign to you that you are not living your life purpose -- what God created you to do. The truth and the reality is that you will never be happy and fulfilled in a career/job that does use your unique talents, gifts, creativity or calling.

Here are 5 questions that can help you to begin to find your life purpose:

1. What things are you deeply passionate about?

Passion energizes and motivates you to move without having to be dependent upon an outside source to get you to move. When you are moved because of your own internal motivation, passion and desires, you wake up with an excite knowing that you will be engaged in something you love doing. This is a clue to your unique life purpose.

2. When you were a young child, what things did you enjoy doing? What came naturally to you back then?

Often times our childhood are clues to our life purpose. As young children, we are often involved in activities that come naturally to us and we excel at doing. For example, one of the things I did a lot as a child was to pretend that I was a singer. I loved all types of music and was told I had a beautiful voice. When I was in my 30s, I finally took professional voice lessons for about 5 years and sang in my church choir and wrote my own original songs. I still love singing and music today!

3. If age, money and time were not a problem in your life, what would you do?

Many times people use age, money, and not having enough time to pursue their dreams and goals. These are excuses rooted in fear; fear that they will fail and look foolish! If you have a dream that's been in your heart for years and it will not go away, it could be an indication that it is part of your life purpose.

4. What have others told you that you are good at doing and that you enjoyed doing?

Other people have a tendency to see gifts and talents in ourselves that we fail to see. Ask people you trust and respect such as your family, friends, and coworkers what they think are your passions, gifts, talents, etc. and write them down and spend time quiet time pondering their responses.

5. What things have you suffered that radically changed your life?

Tragedy and suffering many times lead people to want to help others who have or are going through the same painful situations they went through. For example, rape or domestic violence survivors often become counselors or start an agency or work in agencies that help these women to recover emotional and spiritually. There is a saying that says, "God will turn your mess into a message or ministry."

Everyone who is born into the world come with gifts, talent, ability, creativity and a unique life purpose to which they were created to do. It is up to every person to discover or find his/her life purpose and to fulfill it. Take the necessary time to explore your desire and need to discover your life purpose. Start your journey to purpose by answering the 5 questions thoroughly and completely as possible.

Be sure you devote at least 60 minutes of quiet time, alone, without any interruptions so you can be fully focused on what you are doing. Spend as much time as needed on each questions until you get have an answer. Prayer is something I highly recommend during this time. God is the one who created you, called you, and given you all the talent and gifts you possess.

Never settle for where you are if you are in your comfort zone, just letting your life purpose pass you by. Be willing to step out into unknown territory and doing things you have always wanted to do but were afraid to do. Do not settle for mediocrity, boredom, unhappiness and unfulfillment that are keeping you stuck. You were designed to dream big and to do big things and to impact your sphere of influence.

Whatever your situation or circumstance is today, know that God loves you and cares for you more than you or anyone else can care for you. It is important to remember that no matter what you are faced with today or what you or your family is going through God is with you. He promise in His Word that He would never leave you nor forsake you!

Whatever trial or difficulty you find yourself in today it is NOT where you are going to stay. If the adversity you are experiencing is something that God has allowed, there are some valuable lessons He is teaching you as He brings you through it. Your job is simply to trust Him and say, "Lord, I submit to your process in my life and to learn what I am suppose to learn while I’m going through." Always remember YOUR going THROUGH it; so don’t remain park in the situation or circumstance!

If the adversity is send by the enemy to get and keep you off your God-given course, to distract you, and hinder you, YOU must take your God-given authority and power over the enemy and command him to cease his oppression and attacks against you and your loved ones! Luke 10: 19 says, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand (Isaiah 41:10, NLT).

And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19, Amplified).

Six Reasons for Unanswered prayer

Whenever we pray we are inviting God to intervene into our personal lives, situations, and circumstances. These issues of our lives can only be resolved through God’s supernatural intervention.

Prayer is the tool God has chosen to graciously give us as a way of communing with Him and to cultivate an intimate relationship Him, and to transform our hearts, lives, and relationships with others.

Prayer is the a command that God has willed for all of His children, and with that imperative comes a specific, right, and orderly way we are instructed in His Word approach Him in prayer; the Bible also gives us reasons for unanswered prayer that we must learn and understand.

God is a loving Father who wants to answer our prayers of petition, supplication, and intercession; however, in order for Him to answer our prayer requests, we have to follow certain guidelines and meet certain conditions that we must adhere to if we want our prayers answered. When we meet God’s requirements, we can have the full assurance and confidence that He has granted the desires (prayers) of our hearts.

First John 5:14, 15 NIV says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.”

There are situations or conditions that can actually cause our prayers to go unanswered. Here are six reasons for unanswered prayer:

1. Failure to ask God and wrong motives. “…You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures” (James 4:2, 3 NIV).

2. Sin in our heart. Sin separates us from God who is holy. God seeks vessels with a pure, clean heart, for this is the only way we can even approach a holy God in prayer. Psalm 66:18 NIV says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.” The next verse gives us a strong incentive to keep our hearts free from sin. “But God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise God who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love for me (vss. 19, 20).

3. Doubting God’s Word. Doubt is another form of fear and lack of faith in God’s ability to answer our prayers. We are commanded over and over again to “fear not!” doubt kills faith and faith is what pleases God, and faith moves mountains out of our lives and for those whom we intercede for. James 1:6, 7 NIV says, “But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind, that man should not think he will receive anything from the lord.”

4. Vain (empty) Repetition. Matthew 6:7 NKJV says, “And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.” The words that move God and the angels to move on our behalf is God’s Word spoken in faith in the mouth of His children! Our own words have absolutely no power to change our situations or ourselves. God’s Word is spirit and life, and it’s His Word only that can transform our lives from the inside out and change our adverse situations and circumstances around us.

5. Disobedience to the Word. “If you refuse to obey what you have been taught, your prayers will not be heard” (Psalm 28:9, NCV). When we hear the Word of God but fail to obey it, it causes our prayers to go unanswered.

6. Inconsideration and Disrespectful Behavior in Marital Relationships. “Husbands, likewise dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered” (1 Peter 3:7, NKJV). God is concerned about how a man treats his wife and each other! By not honoring and respecting our covenant of marriage partners can cause God not to answer our prayers.

Read and study these things out for yourselves and allow God to transform your prayer life. We have a written guarantee from God Himself that whenever we obey the instructions in His Holy Book of Life (the Bible) we will have whatever we ask for in payer if we believe.

Prophetic Word Spoken to Me - Pressures

On Monday, December 6, 2010, the Holy Spirit spoke the following prophetic word to me:

Sometimes I have to allow pressure to touch your life to separate the precious from the vile. I allow pressures so that you can see the faith – My faith – I placed inside of you! When the pressures of life come, use your faith, stand firm upon the Rock – the Word – Jesus Christ, and you will remain standing, steadfast and unmovable; the enemy will not be able to distract you or deceive you in any way.

The faith of God inside you is powerful and sure, and the devil is absolutely no match for Me! Stay hidden in Me. live and move and have your being in Me. you have the blood-bought guarantee of My Son to win every fight; I am the One who fights your battles; your fight is to keep the promises of God in your mouth, decreeing it, declaring it, living it; talking it, reading it, studying it; communicating it, writing about it.

When you continually do these things daily, you cannot, in fact, it will be impossible for the adversary to defeat you, deceive you, or trick you. When you saturate yourself in the truth – My Word – NOTHING false, no deception, no unclean thing can stand or operate in your life as a child of the Most High God!

My Word is light and darkness cannot remain hidden, but the light that is in you is greater than the darkness of this world. The darkness is Satan and his imps. Just as I spoke to the darkness in the beginning (Genesis) and it obeyed, you, too, have the authority and power to speak on My behalf wherever darkness exists in your life, your family, others in your life. Light will show up and all darkness (evil spirits) will have to flee! It cannot stay. It must obey the Word of life and the light that you speak in faith

It is your faith that overcomes the world! Fear does not overcome the world; murmuring and complaining does not overcome the world. Anger and bitterness does not overcome the world; strife and contention does not overcome the world.

When people, even My children, operate from these things, they are participants of the dark deeds of Satan himself, for he lives, moves, and has his being in all such activities! In fact, he is energized and activated to bring more of the same to those who do the deeds of their flesh. There is no power, protection, help, deliverance, or peace to those who work the deeds of the flesh.

When people choose to die to their flesh and to doing things their own way, and turn to the light of Jesus Christ, immediately they can, by faith in Jesus, walk in authority, power, and dominion. It’s quite simple; it is not hard! They simply must make a choice. Choose this day who they will serve: God or Satan, light or darkness?

Created On Purpose

Did you or I create ourselves? Did our parents? Do we cause ourselves to wake up? Or cause our bodies to or to breathe? NO! God alone is THE Creator!

God is Creator and Giver and Sustainer of life. Our existence is not independent of God. It was the will of God to create mankind with a purpose. He expects us to not only be good stewards over money but our lives as well because everything was created by Him and for Him.

Everything include our possessions, jobs, businesses, gifts, talents, and creativity. God is the Creator and original owner of everything that exists in the world! But He gives us ALL things to richly enjoy!

God created mankind in His likeness and image; He did it on purpose, with a divine purpose in mind. Each one of us is born with a unique purpose that we must discover.

It doesn't matter under what circumstances you were conceived, you were created on purpose by the God of the universe! God had a specific need and purpose for birthing into the world!

The God of the universe chose you; He loves you. He wants your praise; He wants your worship; He wants your prayers; He wants your commitment and loyalty! He wants your spirit, soul, and body! He desires to be with you! He created you on purpose for these things and so much more.

The God Of All Comfort

It is so reassuring to know that no matter what life throw our way, we can always run to our heavenly Father for comfort.

Second Corinthians 1:3, 4 says, Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

To be a comforter means to be one who draws near to those who are afflicted. Our God comforts us in tribulations! He will provide comfort
to His people, no matter how difficult things may be that we go through.

One of the main reasons God comforts us, besides His love for us, is to teach us to extend comfort to others who are hurting. Second Corinthians 1:4 says, "who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

If you are facing overwhelming circumstances, hold on to your faith and don't give up! God is the God of all comfort!
