Windows 7 is the latest version of Microsoft Windows, a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablet PCs and media center PCs.Windows 7 was released to manufacturing (RTM) on July 22, 2009, with general retail availability set for October 22, 2009, less than three years after the release of its predecessor, Windows Vista.

New and changed features

Many new items have been added to the Control Panel, including ClearType Text Tuner, Display Color Calibration Wizard, Gadgets, Recovery, Troubleshooting, Workspaces Center, Location and Other Sensors, Credential Manager, Biometric Devices, System Icons, and Display. Windows Security Center has been renamed to Windows Action Center (Windows Health Center and Windows Solution Center in earlier builds) which encompasses both security and maintenance of the computer. The default setting for User*** Control inWindows 7 has been criticized for allowing untrusted software to be launched with elevated privileges by exploiting a trusted application. Microsoft's Windows kernel engineer Mark Russinovich acknowledged the problem, but noted that there are other vulnerabilities that do not rely on the new setting.

Internet Spades, Internet Backgammon and Internet Checkers, which were removed from Windows Vista, were restored in Windows 7. Windows 7 will include Internet Explorer 8 and Windows Media Player 12. Users will also be able to disable many more Windows components than was possible in Windows Vista. New additions to this list of components include Internet Explorer,Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, Windows Search, and the Windows Gadget Platform. Windows 7 includes 13 additional sound schemes, titled Afternoon, Calligraphy, Characters, Cityscape, Delta, Festival, Garden, Heritage, Landscape, Quirky, Raga, Savanna, and Sonata. Windows XP Mode runs Windows XP in avirtual machine and redirects displayed applications running in Windows XP to the Windows 7 desktop. Furthermore Windows 7 supports the mounting of a virtual hard disk (VHD) as a normal data storage, and the bootloader delivered with Windows 7 can boot the Windows system from a VHD. The Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) of Windows 7 is also enhanced to support real-time multimedia application including video playback and 3D games. That means that Direct X 10 can be used in a remotedesktop environment. The three application limit will be removed from Windows 7 Starter

Taskbar
The taskbar has seen the biggest visual changes, where the Quick Launch toolbar has been replaced with pinning applications to the taskbar. Buttons for pinned applications are integrated with the task buttons. These buttons also enable the Jump Lists feature to allow easy access to common tasks. The revamped taskbar also allows the reordering of taskbar buttons. To the far right of the system clock is a small rectangular button that serves as the Showdesktop icon. This button is part of the new feature in Windows 7 called Aero Peek. Hovering over this button makes all visible windows transparent for a quick look at the desktop . In touch-enabled displays such as touch screens, tablet PCs, etc., this button is slightly wider to accommodate being pressed with a finger. Clicking this button minimizes all windows, and clicking it a second time restores them. Additionally, there is a feature named Aero Snap, that automatically maximizes a window when it is dragged to either the top or left/right edges of the screen. This also allows users to snap documents or files on either side of the screen to compare them. When a user moves windows that are maximized, the system restores their previous state automatically. This functionality is also accomplished with keyboard shortcuts. Unlike in Windows Vista, window borders and the taskbar do not turn opaque when a window is maximized with Windows Aero applied. Instead, they remain transparent.

How to install" guide.
Here is the complete guide with real-time images :
- Download and extract using WinRAR.
- Use NERO to burn the ISO image called "faXcooL.Windows.7.Ultimate.ENG.x86-x64.ACTiVATED"
- Burning speed should not be faster than 4x. Otherwise, it might not work.
- Restart your computer.
- Make sure you've seleceted your DVD-ROM/RW drive as a first boot device
* Enter the BIOS pressing the DEL button, set the option, insert your Windows 7 installation and restart computer.
- The black screen will appear (image 01).
- Press any key to boot from CD or DVD.... (by pressing the key you're entering the setup)
- Select your language, time and currency and keyboard input (optionaly)
- Click install now
- Choose your edition (x86 is 32-bit, x64 is 64-bit) depending of CPU type you have.
*Choose x64 if you have 64-bit processor.
- Click "I accept".
- Click "Custom (advanced).
- Choose your partition/hdd drive where Win7 should be installed and click format.
*You might get some error if you have two or more hard disks with different connectors (ATA and SATA).
If you get an error, turn off one of your hard disks and repeat the whole proces.
- After formatting, setup will continue automaticly and it will finish after 15-30 min.
- Next step would be username (Image 17).
- Type your password (if you want).
- When you get the screen for CD-KEY just ignore it leaving blank.
*Uncheck the box for automaticly activation and click next.
- Choose the third option for next step.
- Select your time zone.
- Select your current location (Home is recommended).
- The black CMD windows will appear. Wait a few seconds until computers restares once again.
- And that would be all about installation. You're in Windows now.

*Activation*
- It's not required, because it's OEM. Windows will be premanently activated.
However, it's well known that there is some problems with DELL and HP machines.
So if you have issues with pre-activation you'll be forced to some activator to activate Windows 7.

The Vicious Kind 2009 FESTiVAL DVDSCR XviD

Yesterday I played a little catch up but managed to take in a number of films. Billed as a documentary and competing in the World Cinema Documentary competition is “Big River Man.” Profiling endurance swimmer Martin Strel as he undertakes and attempts to swim the entire length of the Amazon, “River Man” feels very much like a Wes Anderson film by way of Werner Herzog. While there is plenty of swimming and the characters in this film play versions of themselves, I found myself questioning whether it is a “documentary” and instead something of a faux doc. As the film draws to a close it appeared that filmmaker John Maringouin winks at us a little telling viewers that not everything is meant to be taken literally.

But the bottom line about “Big River Man” is that it is a hugely entertaining film. For a solid 45 minutes I was positively enchanted by Strel and his son as they prepare for the big swim. We learn that Strel is managed by his son and has already swam the Mississippi, the Danube, and the Yangtze. Archive footage shows the man braving very polluted waters while making his way down the Yangtze. Frankly, it all seems too amazing to be true. You see the Slovenian Strel is over 50 years old and not in peak physical condition. In fact, the man is fairly overweight and an alcoholic. But his charisma and the plain spoken narration of his son makes the whole adventure seem credible and even touching as Strel struggles to maintain his sanity during the sixty plus days of constant swimming. Whether all the events depicted are spontaneous is irrelevant, the movie is chiefly about the personality of the performer that is the Big River Man. My thought is that the Strel story will be purchased and adapted into a narrative feature very soon. And it would be perfect to see Bill Murray playing Strel and Wes Anderson directing.

I attended the public screening of Lee Toland Krieger’s sensitive family drama “The Vicious Kind.” Although the movie is awfully well made, the highlight is the star-making performance of Adam Scott as the troubled Caleb who is recovering from a bad breakup and finds himself smitten with his younger brother’s girlfriend (played by Brittany Snow). Scott, who I spoke with last year about “August,” takes center stage here looking brutally tired and emotionally damaged for much of the dialogue heavy narrative. I swear that his scruffy appearance and caustic personality reminded me of Tom Cruise. Also dragging the pathos out of the audience is JK Simmons (“Juno”) playing a father (once again) who is estranged from Caleb. Sundance alum Neil LeBute serves as an executive producer for the film. Krieger’s sharp dialogue overcomes patches of incongruity especially as rather loud night-time activities go conveniently unnoticed by fellow inhabitants in the family home. But Scott’s work alone makes the film worth seeing.

I saw several short films yesterday, but the best one was “Little Minx Exquisite Corpse: Rope a Dope.” The film, directed by Laurent Briet, is essentially a music video featuring some amazing jump roping. The movie takes place in a boxing gym that is visited by a young girl wearing headphones who finds herself in a kind of jump rope battle with a boxer. The audience I saw the film with was captivated by the frenetic camera work and impressive jump roping. I thought the slow motion effects were some of the smoothest I’ve seen. I spoke with filmmaker Briet who told me that he shot the movie on 35mm film in just one day. Anyone who knows even very little about filmmaking will instantly recognize this as an impressive accomplishment. And this is especially true given the fluid nature of the cinematography that captures so much fast movement.

After my last screening, I spent some time with the cast and director of “Grace.” One interesting footnote worth mentioning is that Malcolm Stewart, one of the creepy stars of “Grace,” is reportedly the only actor to appear in three films at this year’s festival. In addition to the breast milk sipping doctor in “Grace,” Stewart told me that he has roles in “Moon” and in “Helen.” This is quite a feat, and based on his good work in “Grace,” I’m sure that other larger roles are coming.

Auro (Amitabh) is a 12 year progeria infected kid living with his gynecologist mother Vidya (Vidya Balan) and her mother (Arundhati Naag). Extremely witty Auro happens to win an award in his school from a young politician, Amol Arte (Abhishek). On the same night when Vidya watches its telecast, she realizes that Auro actually met his father for the first time. During her student days abroad, she was in a relationship with Amol but had broken off with him over their decision whether to keep the child or not. Amol wanted it aborted and not commit for marriage as he wanted to pursue his political ambitions. Progeria affected children don’t happen to live beyond 13-14 years so when Auro collapses and she fears he is nearing his final stages of his life, she reveals to him that Amol is his father. What follows next and how Auro is instrumental and getting his estranged parents back together forms the rest of the film.

Paa is R. Balki’s next after the immensely lovable Cheeni Kum (2007). Balki had showcased glimpse of his brand of sarcastic humor in his debut film and with Paa he has completely established it. The film has been intelligently narrated cutting away from unnecessary melodrama. The pacing is just perfect. The selection of child actors (including Mr. Bachchan) deserves special mention. They act their natural self and are extremely hilarious. Paa has plenty of wonderfully written and enacted sequences like Auro’s conversations with his best buddy in school Vishnu, Auro’s sequences with his stuffed toy King Kong, Amol – Vidya’s argument over whether to keep their child or not, Amol exposing his detractors on live national television, Auro and Amol’s chilling out all day in Delhi, Amol realizing Auro is his own child and finally of course the climax.

With his Auro act, Amitabh Bachchan yet again proves he is the Paa of all his contemporaries where acting is concerned. The effortless manner, in which he has carried out such a challenging act, deserves a long standing ovation. He is definitely bound to win all the acting awards for this one. Abhishek Bachchan has put up a very mature act. In fact you may want to hate his character in the film initially, but full credit to him for making it very likeable. Vidya with her body language succeeds in communicating her single mom turmoil. She is effortless natural as well and looks wow. Arundhati Naag is very good. Paresh Rawal in a short role as Abhishek’s father is well restrained.

The film scores very high in the technical department. Music maestro Ilaiyaaraja’s music is melodious and perfectly interwoven with the film. His background scrore is super fresh. Anil Naidu’s editing and PC Sreeram’s cinematography are top notch.

Watch Paa with your Maa and Paa and one can confidently say that it is definitely bound to be an experience which you will remember for a long time. Paa will leave you with a tear in your eye but also a smile on your lips.
