Extending Jobless Benefits

Obama is now riding Republicans on extending the jobless benefits saying that it's a "misguided notion" to think giving people unemployment benefits slows them from looking for work.

This is not true for the most part. Their is nothing more motivating than the need for essentials in life. You will do anything it takes to get those essentials. Don't get me wrong, I want to help those who are legitimately out of work, but I have a problem with those who could easily get two minimum wage jobs and lower their standards enough to not require government aid until they get a better job, but instead, would rather soak up all the money they can from the government.
The best way I've heard this told was by Ben Franklin where he said: "I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer."

Their is a movie called Cinderella Man starring Russell Crowe, which is quite an interesting movie if you havn't watched it yet. It takes place during the Great Depression, and finds Russell Crowe, a down on his luck boxer without enough money to feed his family, in a government building requiring aid. This was the last thing he wanted to do, but it was either that, or split his family apart. After things finally picks up for him in the later parts of the movie, we see him at the same building, but this time, he pays every last penny the government gave him back. That is true character. That is the character we are lacking today. The men of today have lost something we once had... Integrity.

Gun Restrictions are BAD!

What was the second amendment for? So the people would have the power to stop the government from taking control. Many of you didn't know that did you? But their are many other reasons to carry a gun. For example, when guns are taken away from citizens, the theory is that the good and bad guys won't have guns anymore, therefore, less murders. This theory is greatly flawed. What makes the "bad guys" the "bad guys" is their lack of following rules. Rules are unimportant to them. Therefore, when gun restrictions are enforced, who will obey them, the "good citizens." So the "bad citizens" will have guns, and you (the good citizen) won't. It will also bring courage to the "bad" due to their new found knowledge of the law abiding citizen's inability to defend themselves. But as long as the citizens have protection, i.e. a gun, they will think twice before commiting a crime against you. Fear is what keeps muggers and robbers at bay. We must not take that away from them.

On the news side of things which sparked this whole talk makes its way to Chicago. The Supreme Court stopped the handgun ban in the state, but in response, they are trying to add restrictions to the new law because they are trying to "prevent gun violence from breaking out across Chicago." We know they should do this because all the other states who do not have these restrictions are being destroyed by guns from the inside out. Ya... right. The new restrictions trying to be enforced will include some nasty ones:

Only one "assembled and operable" firearm is permitted in each home
Stop the sale of firearm inside city limits (what will that accomplish?)
You can only have a firearm inside your home, not even on your porch or backyard.

Apologize for Long Delay... Bush Blamed on Something Again!

I apologize for the long delay in posts, but here we go again... It's BUSH'S FAULT! When we run out of people to blame, lets go back to the default: President Bush. If one more person blames Bush for one more thing, I'm going loose it!

Jimmy Buffett, who, while speaking to the Associated Press on the oil spill matter, decided to give us his wisdom on the ideal person to blame for the gulf spill. He said, "To me it was more about eight years of bad policy before (Obama) got there that let this happen. It was Dracula running the blood bank in terms of oil and leases. I think that had more to do with it than how the president reacted to it."

Of course it was President Bush. It's not like Bush had a war or anything like that to worry about. He was actually a dictator rather than a president (sarcasm).

What people don't understand is that Presidents don't have near as much power as people may think. They are not dictators with absolute control. And who was in control of the house and senate during the last two years of his presidency? REPUBLICANS! Wrong! It was the democrats who took power during a part of his presidency, which everyone seems to forget.

We need to still direct our attention to the real reason for the gulf spill. The environmentalists forced us a mile under water to get the natural resources we need to power this country. If the spill was on land, the problem would have been solved way before now.

More Regulation! Yippee (sarcasm)!

More and more regulations are on the way, says lawmakers after a 20 hour debate concerning new finance laws.

There will be more government regulations put on banks if the laws pass, which they say there is enough support for it to. Lawmakers agreed on something called a "Volcker" rule, which basically stops banks from doing anything risky with their own money. More and more of these type laws are coming.

Okay, so you're telling me the banks are being punished by more regulations when it was the government's regulations that started this whole mess in the first place? In case you aren't aware, it was the government's regulations that forced banks to give out loans to high risk home buyers (Fanny May and Freddie Mac). The whole Rod Blagojevich scandal is one for the books. If you haven't already heard, Rod Blagojevich, an Illinois governor, was arrested in December of 08 for allegedly trying to get bribes to appoint Obama's senate seat, that he left when accepting the presidency, to Valerie Jarrett. He knew Obama wanted Valerie Jarrett to get that seat, so planned on asking for millions of dollars from rich democrats in return.

The update in the scandal is the newly found tapes, which has Blagojevich speaking to Harris on the matter, and telling Harris of his grand idea to ask Obama for money through his "people." He has not spoken with Obama on the matter as far as we know, but these tapes definately speak of his plan to do so.

Corruption in the white house has gotten way out of hand. I know Obama's senate seat is not to be appointed by the people right now, but the problem is that his seat should not only be filled because of their agenda, but also their credentials. It seems we are seeing this more and more with Rod Blagojevich scandal then Elena Kagan. Yes, Rod Blagojevich was brought to justice, but how many times has this happened without public knowledge? How long are we going to let people get sworn into office strictly because of a bribe or their agenda, rather than qualifications, without doing something about it? I think it's time "we, the people" make a stand!

Two Federal Agencies to "Boycott Arizona"

The federal government is actually stepping in to "boycott Arizona." There are two Federal Agencies wanting to join this rediculous band wagon: the Department of Education and the U.S. Border Control.

Republican Gabrielle Giffords said "It is very troubling when the federal government becomes involved in a boycott against our state," and continued on to say ""Although I personally disagree with the immigration law, it came about because of growing frustration over the federal government's unwillingness to secure the border. The federal government's participation in this boycott only adds to that frustration."

He said it right there, the whole reason for the Arizona law is due to the government's incompetence to keep the federal law of securing the border, so Arizona has to had take matters into their own hands.

We really need to do anything and everything to let Arizona know their are Americans out their who support this bill.

Pelosi Wants Money to Stop Republicans

Nanci Pelosi is asking for donations from democrats, according to the Hill, to stop republicans from taking control of the house so they don't investigate Obama instead of "solving our countries problems."

First, the democrats should be fine with us investigating Obama if he has nothing to hide.

Second, who is she kidding? How much time does the democrat controlled house spend on covering up Obama? That's what I want to know. Even if not much is spent there, how much time goes into fundamentally changing America to the way the majority of Americans do not want?

Jeb Bush Tells it How it is

Someone has finally handed Obama a cup full of shut up juice! Jeb Bush (George W. Bush's brother) is sick and tired of hearing Obama blame Bush for every problem he faces. Jeb Bush said that "it's kind of like a kid coming to school saying, 'The dog ate my homework.'" He went on to say "It's childish. This is what children do until they mature. They don't accept responsibility." He says a few more things, but those two statements really, forgive me for this overused statement, but hit the nail on the head.

All I can say is: wow, it's about time! I've been sick of hearing him whine and cry since the elections. He needs to get up, be a man, and admit that he has failed, and that it's no one else's fault but his.

Mexico is Taking Arizona to Court

Are you kidding me? I say it again, are you kidding me? I am sick of this "issue" even being an "issue". Many people are referring to Arizona as being racist when it is quite the contrary. Crime is the reason for the law, not race.

I have heard two things concerning the crime in Arizona: the crime has been going up the past decade, and the crime has been going down the past decade. Quite frankly, it does not matter either way because the city is still completely overrun with crime due to illegal aliens. Someone is kidnapped every 35 hours in Phoenix, Arizona for crying out loud. The state and its citizens are sick and tired of crimes done by people who don't belong their in the first place.

People also need to begin reading the bill before pulling the race card. All the bill states is that a policeman can ask for a persons papers after they have pulled them over for a legitimate reason. The police can't just go around picking people up off the street due to their race. This bill is actually a mirror of the federal law, but due to the FBI's lack of enforcing the law, Arizona must take matters in their own hands.

The reason for the problem in the Gulf

It's sad what has happened over in the Gulf, but the reason we are having such a hard time fixing the leak is due to the simple fact that it is a mile under water! It's very hard to get anything that low without it imploding.

I think it was Rush Limbaugh who thought of this (giving credit where credit is due), but the question we must ask ourselves is: "Why do we have to drill so far under water when there is plenty of it on land?" The answer... Environmentalists. It's ironic that they force us to drill under water rather than on land to "help the environment" when it's that very reason we are in such a mess right now.

It's Time to Talk About HEALTHCARE

This one isn't going to be short, but please stay with me. Healthcare is a major talk in politics today with the Obama care being passed and the presence of the tea parties, so I decided I would do a rundown on exactly why Obama care has not, does not, and will never work.

There are three major problems with universal healthcare. Has anyone ever heard the term "The borrower is slave to the lender"? This term is in the Bible if you are not aware, and it is completely true (like everything else in the Bible). In universal healthcare, you are using the government's money to pay for your healthcare needs. This brings me to another point, nothing in this world is free, except for salvation in Jesus Christ that is. Every time the government takes something over, we loose more freedoms. When they start fronting the bill, they will try to do everything they can to lower the costs. This is already happening in New York with a bill proposed to ban salt in restaurant cooking. See, when you are paying the bill, no one can tell you what to do with your own money, but when the government is paying the bill, they can tell you what to do if it affects your health (and pretty much everything can be related to health).

Another problem with universal healthcare is that the government determines what the doctors are paid. I know alot of people think doctors are overpaid (which I disagree with because of what they have to do), but it is the salary that encourages doctors to spend thousands of dollars and ten to fifteen years in school to be a doctor, and it is because of them spending those years in school that they are so good, but when you take out the incintive, you get mediocre doctors. Why would you want to go to school for so many years to be a doctor, then go for even more years to be a specialist and spend thousands of dollars to get there if you aren't going to make more money than your roommate who spent nine hours a day recovering from a hangover? If you are having brain surgery, are you going to go to the cheapest doctor or the best doctor? That is the question, but with Obama care, there won't be a "best" doctor because no one will get paid enough to further their career and learn to be known as the "best" doctor.

Government Wants Control of Media

The Federal Trade Commission wants the government to save the media industry, which as we all know means more regulation and control (bye bye freedom of the press). They're thinking about having a 5% tax on electronic devices to pay for an organization to help reporters, which is going to give the reporters an incentive to write what the government wants them to write (as if the media isn't liberal enough already).

We have got to stop the government from thinking they can control every aspect of our lives. As soon as they get full power over the press, they will control what we believe about the world (well, they will try to). If we don't wake up, this country will be fundamentally transformed into a Communist country faster than you can say Hitler.

California's Million Dollar Fish Waterway

California, which is billions of dollars in the whole, is planning on making a million dollar waterway under a bridge that has apparently stopped trout from being able to pass through it. This shows just how little people are worth to environmentalists. The state has a 12.6% unemployment rate, yet they want to spend a MILLION DOLLARS to make sure a FISH can go where he wants to go! Does anyone else find this rediculous?

Obama was at a trucking company near Washington speaking about the 431,000 new jobs in May, spouting that "the economy is getting stronger by the day." He referred to most of those jobs being census workers, but did you know the exact number? of the 431,000 "new jobs," 411,000 of those were temporary census workers. Obama loves to bragg doesn't he? He is way behind schedule of what he said he would do, but that doesn't matter now because at least he is doing something (cough, cough, humor).

Slow Push From the Beginning

I was watching the Fresh Prince of Belair this morning and realized that Hollywood (not very surprised at all) has been liberal as far back as I can remember. On the show, Will was trying to convince a news station to allow him to be on the air when Carlton told Will that you have to lie to get what you want and presumed to ask him if he had gone to the Republican Convention.

This kind of thing is getting really old as I watch television. It seems to be on a daily basis that I see some form of liberal lie in some show to subtly slime liberal agenda into our minds and I'm sick of it!

I'm sorry to all of my readers for the very long absense. I had some physical problems stopping me from being on the computer as odd as that sounds, but I'm back and as pumped up as ever to bring you the updates on all things politics.

I'm going to start here and move forward for now. I will probably end up focusing on the past as politics repeats things quite a bit, but for now, all updates will be about the present (not what I missed).

Muslims Face Life in Prison

On Monday, five immigrants were found guilty of conspiring to kill soldiers in Fort Dix. They are now facing life in prison.

I really hate hearing "only radical Muslims hate America." This is just not true. For one to be a Muslim, they must believe in the Koran. Everyone knows this, but what some people don't know is the Koran teaches hate to anyone who doesn't believe (infidel). Now lets put 2 and 2 together. If Muslims have to believe in the Koran, and the Koran teaches hate to infidels, then that means Muslim's hate infidels. So 2 and 2 equals 4, good job.

Border Control Mischief

A group of Mexicans in a Ford F-150 and a Chevrolet Avalanche tried to smuggle 1 million dollars worth of drugs into the country.

In Tuscan, Arizona, on December 1st, Mexican smugglers with automatic weapons drove into a wall at the border with two trucks filled with drugs. When the smugglers were pushed back by border control, they began firing on them, but the border control were too frightened of the consequences to fire back.

Has America truly gone this far? Have we gone as far as to make people frightened to protect themselves because they will go to jail. If it's obviously self-defense, then why would one go to jail? Why would someone have to be scared to fire back at another? How far will it go? Will we eventually be too scared to fire at a burglar to protect our family because we'll go to jail for the rest of our life? I for one will never be scared, no matter what the consequences.
