I'm featured on a track which is a remake of "93 til infinity" which is now "13 til infinity". This was put together courtesy of J FLASH (@JFLASH05). J Flash brought together people from all over the country to make this track, Ghostmarr, Scripts, ATMS, Screws, A.D., L.T. Commat, Truth AKA Trouble, Jaybird the Purdi Boi (from the BET Cypha), and of course MAR-Q. I'm all about working together and making hip hop but I have to ask.....Who went the hardest? I come in at 2 minutes and 26 seconds. This was made after i posted this so I felt it was only right for this to be in this post. You already know I been networking, getting features, working on "Beats Bodied By Bars", which will be mixed and mastered by Djcesar, check his mixes HERE , and recently just shot a video for "Art of Ignorance". Alot has happen since my last blog, a young female caught a Zues uppercut from a bus driver, and Mitt Romney has advanced in his plans to bring back slavery. I'm not here to talk about satanic uppercuts or politics. I'm here to tell you guys to subscribe by email on the right, I'm here to tell yall get crazy with the donations to the right, but what I'm mostly here for is to talk about those rare gems in hip hop that dont just pop up everyday, those albums that make you start piping down your mate in a random bathroom, those albums that make you late for work because you gotta hear the rest of the song because thats your shit. These are albums that if I hear a complete stranger blasting these, I'm going to invite them over for dinner. Jumping right into it.

1. It's Dark and Hell is Hot

I know your like, "chill not this crack head" but this dude was THEE best in the late 90's. Not Jay-z, Not Rick Ross, Not MC Giggles, No.......it was X. This album might have one of the most hype intros ever, wayyyy before Ludacris came along and started makin hot intros. Street gritty tracks like "get at me dog" and "stop being greedy" shits on any whimsical Disney hip hop that you will hear today. The story telling is so vivid and intense with tracks like, "ATF" and "Damien". This dude changed my whole perspective on rap, he was taking time out in between tracks to say prayers, he has an introspective song where he speaks to God, and questions why has he made the choices he has. "RUFF RYDER ANTHEM"...........thats it, that in itslef is a reason to rock out with this album. Passionate, high energy, strong imagery, melodic harmony between him and the production, If your a hip hop fan DO NOT DIE with out hearing this album or your life will be incomplete.

2. The Blueprint

I guess it's not a suprise that god MC made the list. It's debated whether he's the best, it's debated whether he has the most influence, it's debated whether he has pushed the envelope of hip hop, but you CAN NOT debate if he is the most successful. I'm pretty sure this guy has a stake in making money on mars, the Illuminatti, and Olympus. This guy can simply co sign some one, who is virtually nobody and they will be on T.V. and Radio next week. Back on topic with the album though, I don't smoke weed but I could imagine that it would be equivalent to listening to this album. How do you drop such a laid back album that fucks the game up like this. "Aint no love(heart of the city)" and "Never Change" are the most laid back and trance inducing tracks I ever heard in my life. I can't explain why the songs are so good you just gotta listen and experience it. It would be like trying to explain to a virgin why sex feels good, you just gotta feel it ya self. How does this man make "Take Over" the 2nd track?????? your just gonna kill muthafuckas RIGHT AFTER THE INTRO??? thats like..... you see a female.....say hello....AND THEN YALL HAVING SEX! thats like some one in the hood grills you......and then you shoot him, his family, and the whole block up. "TakeOver" might be one of the top 2 diss tracks ever. While "Breathe easy(lyrical Exersize)" is one of the hottest tracks you will ever hear, it annoyed me cause everyone started copying the concept or trying to rap with out writing it down. He also had singles that were unconvetnional to your typical singles (like a club song or female song) he had "Girls girls girls" and "Song Cry" but them shits had personal and reflective life shit in it. I was debating whether I should speak on "renegade" but even though he got Bodied on his own track(Eminem's usual routine), it still worked in his favor, it made the album even more interesting as a whole. I didn't even like Jay-z prior to this album, now I consider him one of the best.

3.Stillmatic

You had to know this was coming up next..... it's only right that. So many months passed and Nas never made any rebuttal to Jay, I was really thinking that he was just going to take it and then wither away and chill somewhere with Jaz-O. Naaaa not ya mans Nasty, he was just waiting for the right time to strike, he was letting the enemy get comfy before he decided to stab them in the neck with a rusty screw driver. I'm sure you already know about "Ether", so the rest is history. The rest of his album has some dark magic kind of concepts going on, it made me feel like he sold his soul to the devil for some rhymes and concepts, but he was some how preaching positive shit. On the track "Rewind he tells a story then tells the story backwards, it sounds simple but his execution was on the level of some shakespeare shit. He teaches us young ghetto people not to be stupid, he tells us the story of his hood, he tells us to grow up and then he tells a story that always stuck with me........about Ike with the Iverson jersey. If you want to hear about Ike you have to listen to "what goes around". This was some of the deepest shit I heard coming up in my late teens. You have to be from the hood and of a certain level of thinking to appreciate this, however everyone can mess with it just for the sounds.

4.Illmatic

What I dont understand is how are you a such a fucking legend but so low key with it. It's like Martin Luther King still being alive and just blending in at the million man march, hes not there to give any speeches hes just in the crowd, then some one in the crowd says "hey you're that guy" and then Dr King says "yeah I did that little, i have a dream thing". I'm not saying that he is Martin Luther but dude is a pioneer and legend that is still relevant to this day. The album tho, this was some.....rap will never be the same kind of shit.....this was like coming out with facebook while motherfuckers are still in AOL chat rooms typing shit like S/A/L(you either dont remember that or you are to young to know about that). This album was like giving an iphone 5 to a cave man who just invented the wheel. The production is simple but it just HITS, the shit just sounds hott. The lyrics had gritty imagery that just was not done before. this is another one of those "you have to hear it for yourself" situations, so you may feel it sounds dated BUT.....just know he influenced just about every rapper's style for atleast the next decade.

5. Marshall Mathers LP

Most people know by now.....White boy can SPIT, but you know just being able to rap very well does not make a classic album, it takes that extra ummph. This guy put all his life and flaws into this album, his abusive and drug addict mother, his whore girl friend, his own drug addiction, he just said fuck it. Really Em?????? you just gonna kill your baby mother on the record like that, by the time you finished he done murdered several people including Dr dre and some innocent puppy. I never such madness on a record done so skillfully. He raping chicks, talking about how his daughter gonna grow up to do drugs to this shit is just out of control but in a beautiful way. You feel like son is too crazy and hes doing too much but then he has tracks like "who knew", "Marshall Mathers" and best of all "stan". This might be considered a classic due to his circumstances and controversy that surrounded him but the musical aspect is there 110%

This is some support and love that i figured i should share with everyone.... and give one more thank you to the good people who manifested these ( I don't know if they want their identities revealed, let me know and I will put you in here).

The 1st is someone who had to do a paper on an artist (me):

The artist that I choose worthy of study is actually a close personal friend of mine his name is Marquis Moorer. Marquis is a self described rap artist. He says "I try to make technical works of art. I try to do projects. I will say, let me create a story line with plots and twist while maintaining the song structure and contemporary sound". I find him worthy of study because although he can make lots of money by making rap music that glorifies violence and ignorance he chooses to educate with his music. He makes songs that he classifies as "conscience songs". My husband actually introduced me to Marquis, the two of them have been friends for over a decade. They made music together in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, N.Y. Although we have relocated they continue to collaborate on songs. In one of his songs called The Art of Ignorance Marquis describes acts and beliefs that are spread throughout urban populations. Marquis says he was not influenced by any individual artist but is influenced by the hypocrisy in government officials and the inability of leadership to effectively teach urban youth to become productive members of society.

I believe Marquis would be influenced by the music in Sub-Saharan Africa. I believe this because he considers himself a "story teller". I agree. He has songs about, dating, surviving in the ghetto, and the negative influence of drugs and alcohol. Marquis has a wide variety of songs but they all tell a story. The same is true for music in Sub-Saharan Africa. The text says "Music permeates virtually every aspect of African life. It is used to entertain; to accompany dances, plays, religious ceremonies, and magic rites; and to mark such events as birth, puberty, marriage, and death."

Winner of the prestigious New Unsigned Hype award, an award offered by World Star Hip-Hop, a leading website that showcases rap artist, Marquis Moorer is innovative and thought provoking. I am happy to call him a friend and have been blessed to watch him grow as an artist over the last decade.

Beanie Sigel and Memphis Bleek are trying to be the "next up". Here we have a young Memphis Bleek looking like he may be a prime candidate as Jay's vice president.

I dont want to be rude or anything but..... when you have rap's most successful person as your mentor, and he considers you one of his closest friends, how do you fail? There are rappers who have been homeless and had nothing and were able to garner success. Is he being spoon fed by Jay-z? Does he begin to write a verse but then Shawn Carter buys him a car and he just says fuck this verse? I dont even think this guy has any current videos, however he does have a new mixtape out.

2002, lyrics actually matter within the rap world, street credibility is crucial, and you have to not just be good but you have to represent a movement that is bigger than your music. In 2002 the number 1 song is Camron's "Oh Boy". 10 years have passed and rap is very different. Lyrics are almost completely irrelevant and rappers are blatant liars, however drug dealing is still highly idolized. Rappers seem to come and go, with meaningless songs. -LEBRON HATE
Regardless of whether you love or hate this dude he is definitely one of the best ballers out there. Ya mans Lebron did not want to go the way of other great ballers such as Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, and Iverson, so he went to a team that had better players.........some see this as an intelligent move, some see this as a feminine move. All I know is the hate that has resulted from this move to Miami has been so entertaining I had to make a quick compilation.

GENERIC HIP HOP WORDS

What always seems to take place in hip hop is some one makes a term popular by using it to boast. Rappers that are popular but on a decline or upcoming rappers that want some buzz, start using that same term to get some attention. Tactics to garner more attention are cool to me but when everyone just starts saying a word and they don't really know what it means, they use it incorrectly, or just say it cuz people want to hear it......well that's just some Wack sh*t. Excessive use of a term usually leads to the term losing any meaning it ever had or it just gets played out quick.

Gangsta
Origin and original definition: Gangster-a member of a gang or group of criminals.
Thug, goon, "G", it was all the same concept, "I'm a tough guy". I shoot people cuz they look at me funny, I get shot in the face and walk it off, no hospital visit. I show up to elegant banquets with a du-rag and my gun, all cuz I'm GANGSTA. I'm not no little kid, and I'm not no old dude so as far as I know N.W.A started this gangsta shit. There were other spikes in the Gangsta trend due to 2pac, 50 cent, and even Plies. My problem with this word is because it got so popular people started sayin dumb sh*t like "them new jordans is gangsta"........WTF. Dudes who were born rich and were dressed by their mom til the age of 21 started saying they were gangsta. Dudes started going to their favorite 5 star restaurant, not tipping their server and saying "thats gangsta"

FLY
I'm sure you know the damn origin of this word. I'm not too sure what made people start using this word to describe their attire, but sure enough people wearing Paco in 2012 are still claiming to be fly. Dudes rhyming off beat and exclaiming, "I'm hot like the sun", would make up for their lyrical short comings by saying "I'M FLY". I always thought, who cares if you're buying over priced fabrics that usually came from businesses that are racist or built off of slavery.

PIMP
Original definition: Pimp- a person who solicits customers for a prostitute in exchange for money.
Some way some how people who are the customers by the definition seem to think that they are the pimps. To have the right to say you are a pimp you have to gather and herd hoes, throw them on a strip to have sex with customers, collect their earnings, and occasionally slap them.

SWAGG

Origin: Swagger- to strut with a defiant or insolent air/ boast or brag
where the f*ck did this word come from.....I mean it was a regular and rarely used word and then sometime in 2008 the sh*t just got out of control......I love rap.....but the culture can just be the dumbest most ignorant sh*t ever. People started getting popular simply because they were saying "swagg". An onslaught of struggle rappers started making songs about their swagg, the swagg in their clothing, the swagg in their car, even the swagg in their sex. From 2008 to 2011 swag was hip hops pet rock. NO TALENT BUT I GOT SWAGG, NO WORK ETHIC BUT I GOT SWAGG, CAN'T SING, CAN'T DANCE, CAN'T ACT, or READ, BUT.........I GOT SWAGG. When anyone would try to speak out about this phenomenon, the rebuttle was always "your just madd that you don't have any swagg". I'm sorry but I can never endorse or subscribe to such dumb sh*t, F*CK OUT OF HERE with that simple minded sheep mentality. You can't just show me shiny objects and think you're going to have my attention. You can't say something that I do not know the meaning of and think it's going get me going. You're not telling me what you think I want to hear to get me riled up. Very stupid variations and statements have spawned from this such as: "swaggy", swaggoo", "swaggerific", "swaggtastic", "swaggful", and much more unthoughtful, mind numbing statements. I can only give thanks that for the most part this term has died down, although the damage has been done.

Its on some this is Mar-q, back with that fresh post for yall. Been a minute since the last post cause I been working on my own music and such, but now I'm back to put yall on to some literature. As promised I'm gonna get started with some album reviews.

Yeah man, I had a hard time with this, because contrary to what people think..... I don't like to be negative but damn, this chick is "different" (sigh). I just don't know about stuff like this. I really want to say positive things about this, but I have an education beyond elementary, I remember when Biggie was alive, I listened to all of Nas's Music, and my mom was not on drugs while pregnant with me..... feel me? Her album represents whats wrong with society as a whole........... shorty album is like, going into a restaurant with gold tables, crystal walls, a glass floor filled with water and fish swimming in it........its like this restaurant has sexy topless waitresses that dance on request. You would love to go this restaurant until you open up the menu and all you see is: Drinks: Water $18 , Food: Bread $30.......AND THATS IT. You payin for ambiance and appearence. But yall probably like "oh he jus hatin", okay let me tell you what this album is about.....1) every other chick aint sh*t compared to her 2) she makes more money than you 3) strange gibberish. When you think shorty gonna be a regular human and just rap, she just starts singing about puttin her d*ck in your face. Theres only 7 tracks on this album....well to be more precise, after 7 tracks its like you turned on z100 or whateva your local pop station is. There are only 7 rap songs, then its singin and techno. Yo, I'm glad shorty is sexy cuz this is "different". On the good side though, all the tracks are club/radio compatible, and the beats are cool.

Ranking: D+

I wasn't feelin these Odd future dudes when they came out, but these dudes grew on me, these dudes are like some wild monkeys that just happen to know how to rap and produce. This project has something for all your rap interests. Tracks like "50" give you that mosh pit, throwin bows, wild out rap. You want some good ole spittin and flowin you got tracks like "Forest". You need some ignorant juice in your life they got the track "We got b*tches". You're some emotional rap fan who likes the men in women's clothing movement? Don't worry Frank Ocean is providing you with some singing crap on "White". I didn't like every track on here, but what I'm not feelin, some one else definitely will. These dudes got more goin on than eatin roaches and dissin Jesus (SMH).

Ranking: C+

ACTION BRONSON! This is a fat white dude that raps about food and messes up his raps and leaves it on the track...........BUT with that being the case this dude is lookin like the next big thing. This project makes me feel like the 90's are back, this makes me feel like pun is still alive, this got me feelin like Wu-tang is still being played on the radio, this feels like DMX is on T.V. for something other than being arrested. Ya mans don't really got no super lyrical things to say, he just has a cool flow, and speaks about what he wants. He may speak in a way where he compares things to food, he may tell you about him and his son getting orally pleased at the same time.Yo honestly, I cant explain why this is so hot. This is just some real rap shit.

As you can see I am about to review the new Lil B mixtape. This guy is pure genius, he shows you just why the pet rock was being sold in stores. People are so dumb these days that they will get behind any movement and purchase anything. If the media made it look cool enough and made it look like a "must have", people would pay to get infected with H.I.V. He always raps off beat, it doesn't seem as if he has any of his songs engineered, and I won't speak on his lyrical content. I'll just leave you with one line: "b*tches on my d*ck cuz I look like Matlock"......... I'll leave it to you to decipher what that means.

but an S for his ability to capitalize off of stupidity

JADAKISS- Consignment. Rap just has no respect, the rap game is like that dude that you take in when he's homeless and down on his luck, then that same dude is able to pick him self up and becomes big time, but when you go to say what up to him in a club, he just gives you a head nod and brushes you off. This is how rap has treated Kiss. This dude deserves Jay-z recognition, he is an unsung legend. He made real songs with Biggie no made up sh*t. Let me speak on the actual project though. It hurts me that this dude has so many new wack dudes on his tracks, he shouldn't be reaching out to these dudes to stay relevant, they should be paying atleast $50,000 for his presence on a track. As a listener who is used to hearing him spit poison on tracks, I should not have to suffer through these other dudes spittin strawberry Nesquik. He would get a better rating If he didn't put all these "flavor of the month" artists on his project.

Whats going on in hip hop and such?

Its on some, this is Mar-q and I'm back with a new post. This one was a little difficult to do because....well sh*t just wasn't going down. Hip hop took some type of vacation, its like all the producers just went up to their children and said "yo......... that toy you got where you pull the lever and it makes some animal noise.....yeah that one, its bull shi*t, here take my mpc and make some beats". Its like rappers were on stage in mid performance and just said, "yo....... lata fa this sh*t, im gonna start playin in Yugioh card tournaments, this rap game is boring", and then they just walked off stage. Not a damn thing is happening in hip hop, then out of no where Nicki Minaj drops an album:

Na.....this is just how I feel, there are plenty of people that are hype about her new joint droppin. Since nothing is really going on in rap right now, I'm just going to speak on a couple things, starting with this Nicki stuff. Yo 1st off let me get this straight, I'm completely happy for shorty and her success, however I'm not gonna pretend like shorty is making pure hip hop classics, she hits you with like 2 verses of real rap and then a truck load of gimmicks, and strange nonsense. Like I said I wanna see her win and do her thing, but she did provide lines such as:

"I'm a star......Sheriff badge"

"bite me.......apple sign"

"I get it crackin like a bad back"

"oh you was sleepin on me ZzZzZzZ"

"is that why I get more head than shampoos"

"go against me nowwwwwww, I dare(deer) you....... bambi"

I know we are having a mutual feeling of "WTF". Look, how I see it, there are 3 types of people that like her:

Some people might be more worried about important issues like the whole Trayvon Martin issue, but I'm going to tell a whimsical tale of wonder and tragedy that seems to be more important to people. Once upon a time, iPhone users were an elite Illuminati group and all the members of the group took sh*ts that smelled like potpourri, and they woke up every morning to angels playing flutes by their bedside, until one day they woke up and there was a dark ominous cloud over their community. Let me get back to hip hop though. Many people have been expressing hate towards certain artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, and Wale. There are more but these seem to be the main ones people hate, particularly those 90's rap heads. What I need you guys to understand is not all listeners can take in such profound lyrics like what Lupe spits out. These new rap fans will never understand Fabolous's grittier punch lines. They still don't know what Lil Wayne meant when he said "real G's move in silence like lasagna". Most of these new rap heads were around the age range of 5 when Biggie, Big Pun, and Pac died, and when they grew up and started listening to rap, Ja- rule was singing all over the place. These people can't take in technical flows, and puzzling punch lines, so should they just be left out of rap? Retarded people, Handicapped people, and midgets still get to go into theme parks and such, they just can't mess with every ride or access all the facilities. The concept is similar when it comes to rap. You have people who can't mess with the more intense aspects of the art form so there are artists specified for them. These artists put together very simple melodies and lyrics so that the "handicapped", "retarded", and "midget" listeners can be rap fans as well.......feel me? So what I like to call this type of rap is, "Diet rap" or "Rap lite" if you will.

Here's an example so you know the difference between "Diet rap" and that raw rap:

To those of you that feel I'm just being negative and I want to bash your favorite artist, trends, and fashion cuz I don't want to see you happy, chilllllll I'm never negative. I just want you to stop being stupid, the same way a personal trainer would want you to stop being fat, feel me. They call me E-Money, or just Money, i did not give myself this name, but i do see that it fits being as too how much i LOVE money and the aspects in which you come to make it. non the less this BLOG will not be about money.
