2010-03-29T13:05:00.000-07:00

So you thought all I did was party, attend events and take over the city of Atlanta huh? WRONG! First things, first-> I am a student and some of you tend to forget that, I even forget it from time to time...but then reality hits me. This week is full of assignments, tests, meetings, practices and I'm sure I am missing something else. College is about work- and thats what I am here to do. My grades are the best they have ever been and I be damned if I mess that up now, considering school is almost over. My motivation is this upcoming weekend. My bestfriend, Jovel turns 20 and a "foreign" person comes in town for the weekend from London. Not to mention we are out Friday for Good Friday and I am sure there will be an abundant amount of trouble to get in. But first, SCHOOL! As a matter of fact, why am I writing this, I need to study. :: logs off and opens a book ::

A Classic Beauty.

2010-03-25T12:24:00.000-07:00

Yes, I am a sucker for a pretty girl- you all should know that by now. As I always say, having beauty with no brains is like being in college with no classes- pointless. Meet the beautiful Nesha, a senior at Spelman College! I remember seeing this girl walk around campus all the time and I always said to myself "who is she? OMG!!" We met earlier this semester and she has to be one of the nicest and most genuine people I have had the pleasure of meeting since I been here in Atlanta. She always has that smile that can light up a dark room on her face, Nesha is a classic beauty with the personality, intellect and style that it takes to make all the heads turn... yours included.

#iamhappy.

2010-03-23T08:54:00.000-07:00

Have you ever been happy just because? -wake up with a smile on your face, and go to sleep with a smile on your face as well? If not, you are missing out on such a beautiful feeling. School is going great, my midterm grades were the best they have ever been, my social life is solid and I am steady making moves here in Atlanta. My friends appreciate my company and I appreciate theirs. My love life... well somethings I keep to myself but when its all said and done, I am HAPPY and loving each and every moment of it. I pray that this feeling continues and strengthens over time. That is all..

Coming Soon.. [Talent Spotlight]

2010-03-19T08:44:00.000-07:00

You all know how I roll. I only surround myself with the movers and shakers of this new era I like to call: The Young and Powerful. My friends consist of up and coming artists, models and entrepreneurs, just to name a few. They say you are who you surround yourself with, that being said, I must be talented, intelligent and making moves. Meet Michael Oloyede best known as Mike O. I met this guy previous to me moving to Atlanta during the summer of 2008. Since then Mike and myself have grown to become really good friends. I'm sure you have seen us around the city and we have even walked in a few fashion shows together, but thats besides the point. I appreciate seeing young black men like myself who are motivated and passionate about what they do. Mike is a student at Georgia State University and is one of my favorite up and coming "new faces". He has the drive, the intellect and social abilities that it takes to make it and become something epic. We ARE the future and I don't know about you but I am ready to make a mark on my generation and those to come. If you're ready to take the ride as well, grab your ticket and get on the train. We have moves to make, don't get left behind.

"If You Ain't Living, Stop Looking" #SB10

2010-03-18T08:43:00.000-07:00

"You've been a very bad boy, a very bad bad boy kyrell" - yes its true, I wasn't on my best behavior in Miami, but who was? After all it was Spring Break. We stayed right on Ocean Drive, we had the luxury of walking outside our door to the ocean. The food, the DRINKS, the parties and the carelessness was something that I could certainly get use too. Our typical day consisted of waking up mid day and going to brunch, followed by drinks, shopping and the beach. My whole "Bad Boy" mentality was in full effect and boy did I live life on the edge. We were something like "out of town celebs". Everywhere we went, we had random people stopping us saying "damn, they fly" or "can we take a picture with you all?" You know I lived for it. We spent time with old friends, met new people and those in between. I'm sure you're wondering if I had a "spring break fling" huh? WELL, you not gonna get to know it all. Lets just say that next year I plan on going out the country- Puerto Rico, Jamaica or even London (#igotmylife). The beach was the hang out spot and who would of ever thought that I would get in the ocean, well I did (although I am anti big bodies of water). SO much more happened but the saying "what happens in Miami, stays in Miami" still stands with me. The pictures speak volumes-- I am proud to say I held it together to get a few click click flashes.

Where Is My Co-Star ?

2010-03-17T13:40:00.000-07:00

So recently, I've been doing some thinking and soul searching and the theme of love has been on my mind lately? Yeah, I know I know, just a month ago I was dissing Valentine's Day and all of that but I guess you can say I've had a change of heart. I just think that being successful and having everything in the world with no one to share it with, is pointless. I appreciate power couples. The kind where BOTH individuals are about business and growing; personally and as one. I was in the airport on the way back to Atlanta from Miami (Spring Break post coming tomorrow) and I saw so many happy couples. It kind of made me cringe and I then asked myself: "ky are you ready for love?" I am very independent so I look for someone who is just as busy as I am, and understands the life I live. I don't need to see you everyday to know that we're a "couple"... to be honest a long distance relationship would probably be best for me, but then the whole trust thing comes in to play. Why is this so complex? I know I can't rush it, one day i'll find the ying to my yang, I suppose..

"Yo Ky, Put me on!"

2010-03-05T10:00:00.000-08:00

I'm the dude that most dudes hate, not only because I am on my grind but because I am always around some of the prettiest girls. I don't know what it is but the pretty girls are attracted to me and I am attracted to them. "Yo ky, put me on!" is what I always hear and my response is always: "put you on?, fall back son she not checking for you." A girl that I love to death that makes all the dudes heads turn (females too) is Rachel. I love being around her, she knows how to have fun and her "we only live once" attitude makes me feel complete. Not only does she have the look but shawty is smart too. Note: If I can't have an intellectual stimulating conversation with you then to the left, to the left. A girl with looks and no intellect is like a car with no tires.. it just doesn't make sense. You can find Rachel in Miami with me and the rest of the crew next week. I'm sure you'll wanna take of picture of all of us- click click flash.

"Ky, you're wild & I love it" (Birthday Recap)

2010-03-01T08:22:00.000-08:00

"What do you want to drink ky?" ... when I tell you I have the BEST friends in the world, I mean it. As you all now my 20th birthday was last Thursday, February 25th. I have been celebrating since last Wednesday (hence no recent posts). I woke up and got dressed, the birthday suit consisted of YSL, Ralph Lauren and Fox. I went to get a Mocha Frap and a bagel and then proceeded to my only class of the day. The evening was approaching and I knew something was going on, but I had no clue to what it was. Well to make a long story short I go to my friends room and open the door and all these people say "SURPRIIISSEEEE!" they had cake, ballons, and wine. We made a toast and it was on to the next location. I thought we were going to SLICE on Peter Street as we do every thursday BUT we went to 255 Tapas Lounge instead. I'm like "what is going on, can we go to slice?" I walk to the back and there is everyone just waiting for me! I was shocked. We drank, ate, laughed and did some other things and then we went to Adrene's Boutique for a little fashion party. After that, we were off to the strip club. I can't tell you everything, because everything isn't meant to be told. The entire weekend is a BLUR to me! The stories that people have been telling me have been pretty intense, from dancing on bars, to being the life of the party, to getting lap dances. I only turn twenty once, so why not? Friday we ran the town, and Saturday we did the same, I even saw Jay and Beyonce' Sunday, I waved and they waved back. Part 2 of my birthday will continue in MIAMI next week! Be sure to click here to check out some more pics that my boy Marquis Phifer of Lateboots.com took.

Don't walk.. PUMP!

2010-02-23T07:28:00.000-08:00

"Oh you tried that!" one of the many phrases that were said at the Project NeXt model call last week for their upcoming Spring Show in April. The model call was a success and it bought back so many memories. The host of the night was myself along with co-director Moses Counts. Some of the judges saw it for some of the models and others.... well lets just say they got the HI-YAH! (CUT!). Today is their first official practice for the show and I am sure it will be interesting. If I see a girl come to practice in a wedge of a boot I am going to SCREAM! This is their last show so it is going to be major. Be on the lookout for more info. This is one show that you DO NOT want to miss. Now go work on your platform and while you're at it, dust your mug because some of 'em need a hug! That is all.

I want THIS & THAT! [Birthday edition]

Bad Boy Pt.II (Miami Edition) ...

2010-02-18T13:06:00.000-08:00

This time last year, I was preparing to head to Miami. Well, its that time once again. This year is going to be even bigger than last year. We have the condo, on Ocean Drive (where you staying?), we have the crew; you know I only roll with pretty girls and dudes who are on my level. We have the coin$, and we have the connections. Come March 10th, Miami will be OURS and we are going to live it up like no other. Simple garments, dark frames and a bad boy mentality is what I am going for. Don't judge me, and remember what happens in Miami stays in Miami. I will be in the gym EVERYDAY from now until spring break in order to tone up and my look... well, you will just have to wait and see. I can't tell you everything..

some pictures from last year:

Seeing Double.

2010-02-18T12:48:00.000-08:00

A typical day at school, it wasn't calling for too much so I decided to throw on a red turtle neck, black leather bomber, some jeans and my favorite purchase of the season: combat boots. I go to my last class of the day and I see my bro "Bouvia" with pretty much the same thing I have on. I guess great minds think alike. Any other day I would of said, "I know he does NOT have on the same thing as me" but it was all good, and quite funny to say the least.

Love don't live here no 'mo!

2010-02-15T14:24:00.000-08:00

The day after... when all the candy is gone, the teddy bears are somewhere in your room and more than likely you got into an argument with your significant other. Well, us single folks don't have to worry about all that stuff. So you all are probably wondering, how I spent my Valentines Day eh? Well let me tell you as Junior Mafia's "GET MONEY" plays in the background. I went to the movies, and out to eat the day before Valentines day which was more eventful than valentines day itself. It was a coincidence that I spent this Valentines Day with the same person I spent it with last year, just a different relationship. Enough said... I spent the actual day- doing some work, attended a Glee Club concert for my music class and then I came back to watch television in my bed, alone! Which was perfectly fine with me. All that lovey- dovey shhiiii is for the birds.. chirp chirp... RIGHT! You wanted ME to be YOUR valentine? hahaha, yeah right! My dentist and I are against the whole chocolate thing and the teddy bears? What I'm suppose to do with that? I'll pass. You wanna sign a check? Oh now we talking..

I heard you want to WALK like me!

2010-02-12T08:06:00.000-08:00

Its that time again. You know, that time of the year where all the girls come out and all the guys too in efforts to grace the runway of one of the hottest shows of the season in the AUC, The Project NeXt Spring Fashion Show! I love my Project NeXt family; the creativity, dedication and eclectic group of people is like no other. I had the honor of walking in a couple of their shows and it has made my college experience worth while. Do you think YOU have what it takes? If so, come out to the Model/Designer Call this Tuesday, February 16th 2010 @ 6pm in the student center located on the campus of Clark Atlanta University. Ladies wear heels, no MESSY wedges, praying hands (pointy toe heels) or boots. Men wear clean shoes of your choice. Its $1 to watch and $2 to WALK! Come ready to TIP or stay off the runway...

The Saks Fifth Ave of Cheapness.

2010-02-11T09:41:00.000-08:00

ahhhhh!! TARGET! This has to be on my favorite places to go in the entire world. Its a one stop shop. Magazines, Groceries, Underwear, food, school supplies etc. Yesterday once I came from the office, Leighton and I decided to head to the infamous Target in Atlantic Station since we both haven't been in a while. I don't know what it is, but when I go to Target I experience a sense of calmness. Wal-Mart makes me sleepy and I dread going but Target is just different. I always make my way back to where all the magazines are and then I proceed to the candy isle. You too good to shop at Target? Little do you know, all the GRAND people appreciate Target, including myself. I won't mention who I run into Target when I go, especially in Atlanta but as I stated before, I am the celebrity in my eyes, I just so happen to go when other fellow celebrities are there. That is all...

the motivation for me...

2010-02-09T21:20:00.000-08:00

i've been receiving so much love lately.

i appreciate it.

i made a video for YOU!

Meet my girlfriend, her name is WENDY!

2010-02-09T09:07:00.000-08:00

"May I have the Chicken Deluxe combo, with some spicy chicken nuggets, BBQ sauce and a fruit punch, light ice?" I love me some Wendy's. I swear I need some stock in this fast food restaurant, because I eat here SO much. SO much that they know my friends and I, and they know what time to expect us. Ms. Wendy gets you right together for the "low low". I am a college student on a budget and although I enjoy fine dining, there is no shame in my game when I go to Wendy's and eat a $3 meal. When its all said and done, I'm happy and FULL! Now Wendy's needs to run me my coins for this post. "Contact my publicist!"

"Ayyee Beybehhh, WHO DAT?"

2010-02-08T05:53:00.000-08:00

"Who Dat" said they gonna beat them SAINTS? The N.O. accents were strong, the drinks were even stronger and I guess you could say I was feeling it last night. Yes, I was watching the game and was in to it, believe it or not. We couldn't just go to a typical bar and eat wings and watch the game with people we don't know. The location was midtown, the 10th floor, and the condo was all ours. It was boys night out, hell- every-night is boys night. You see me, you're going to see them. The bounce music made it pretty evident who we were going for. What ya'll know about that bounce music? The SAINTS won, and we celebrated. We left midtown and headed to Buckhead to celebrate. We ran the city and the city showed us love as always. When we returned the birds were chirping and my head was pounding. The lifestyles of the rich and semi-famous...

Grab a drink, Grab a glass.. #celebration

2010-02-06T09:14:00.000-08:00

Clap Clap Bravo, it a celebrtion- I am back. Consider it to be Christmas in the month of February. I know you missed me, The emails, facebook messages, tweets and so on all prove it. I took a break from blogging but as of now I'm back. It's a new year, so it's a new layout, new content, I guess you could say I'm on an #allNEWeverything craze right now. Most of you have seen me on other blogs so why not tell you what I'm doing.... via my OWN blog. Many understand, but for my new fans let me explain something to you. This blog documents my life: the people, places, experiences and life lessons. You want to know what the celebrities are doing and where they are seen? Well, go to another blog. Why blog about "them" when in my eyes I am the celebrity. I like to talk shiiiii but I can back it up (its the Kanye in me). This is life through MY eyes.. AS told by ky. I have so much going on right now and I want you all involved. Hell, most of you seem to know more about me than I know about myself, but I live for it. Keep talking, I know my name tastes good in your mouth. Its self-explanatory: save my blog as a bookmark, visit my blog everyday, and tell everyone about it. You may just make an appearance. Fasten your seat belts, I drive fast and I am not slowing down anytime soon.

A "dream" is now a REALITY.

2010-02-06T08:42:00.000-08:00

Fashion, Models, Designers, Branding, Marketing and the list goes on and on. Welcome to the International Fashion Group- Atlanta. Say "bonjour" to one of the creative directors of IFG. For all you slow ones that would be ME! I am part of a 4 person team, you can call us the "Fantastic Four." Marquis Phifer, iCON, Lo Mitchell and myself are on some other shiiiii right now. When I'm not in class, I am at a photo shoot, meeting with clients and developing new concepts. We are a monthly fashion publication that launches mid-February. We have the address, the office space, the interns and the most important ingredient... the creativity! You know how much damage I can do alone, imagine what we come up with when we're all together. The publication is going to speak for itself so thats all I am going to say.. for NOW. Fade to BLACK.

Check out a couple of pictures of "The Office". We have the entire floor, why wouldn't we?

"Come here, let me SCHOOL you"

2010-02-06T08:15:00.000-08:00

YES, its true, I've been a little "behind the scenes" when it comes to being seen on campus this semester. However, just in case you forgot being a scholar is one of my hustles and to be honest it is my main hustle. Everyday I run into someone who says: "ky where have you been? I never see you anymore." I go to class, get my education, smile in my professors face, do my work and leave. Why stay on campus and "hang out" when I can be increasing my net worth & network? Thursday night after I left the office, I made an "appearance" in the infamous Douglas Study Hall. You thought I just dressed up, walked around campus and signed autographs eh? WRONG! I am a full time student who attends class everyday (unlike most) and not only am I in class, I am excelling. Don't let the fur around my neck and dark frames on my face fool you. I am a scholar and my GPA speaks for itself. Are you even registered?

take a seat, & open a book..

Books, Conversation & Knowledge

Studying.. some of you should #tryITout.

You Cold? Burr!

2010-02-06T07:56:00.000-08:00

Attending an institution of higher learning in the Atlanta University Center (Morehouse College, Spelman College & Clark Atlanta University) is an experience like no other. There are so many people here from everywhere in the world. We have children of entertainers, students whose parents speak no english and thats just to name a few. Personal Style is something that I live for. Although I am against the whole "cookie-cutter" Morehouse "uniform" which normally consists of a blazer, some khakis, loafers and a bow tie (how groundbreaking?) there is ONE person who seems to make this look his own & is always "Well Dressed". Leighton Berry, a Sophomore Psychology major seems to always add a little kick. You can catch him sauntering down Brown Street in an over-sized frame and some type of bag. The bag of choice for this day was GUCCI. Burrrrr!
