I had an opportunity to join the tripping sponsored by the owners of Punta del Sol Resort in Island Garden City of Samal (IGACoS) two Saturdays ago. I was with my sister Allyn and her husband Cy who were pretty ashamed because we arrived in the meeting area a little late that the agreed time. :( The trip was scheduled every weekend to those who are interested to purchase a property within Samal Area. I don't have any plan to buy a property in Samal yet but we went there to do a favor for a friend who are looking for an investment in Samal area.

We went to several places that day but our first stop is Punta del Sol Resort Restaurant and Aqua Sports wherein we were greeted with welcome drinks. =)

We don't have the luxury of time to stay longer in the resort but we promised to be back with our whole family hopefully soon. The place is so peaceful and a perfect getaway from the busy city life. Although, the time we spent in the resort is short, we still get to enjoy and feel the place as if we are some kind of tourists.=)

Solariega Clubhouse

Solariega is one of Davao's popular high end subdivision owned by Vista Land located in Talomo, Davao City. And their Clubhouse especially the swimming pool is one of our family's favorite hangout. Although we do not live inside the subdivision, we still get to enjoy the amenities inside the clubhouse. The clubhouse are only for the use of the homeowners but outsiders can still avail via invitation.

What we like about this place is its accessibility because it is only a 5-minute drive from our home. It is also not crowded because it is almost exclusive to homeowners. If invited, you can get to enjoy the adult and kids pool for a minimal fee. Fees for adult is only 50 pesos while 40 pesos for kids. They are also offering their place as venue for parties for only 3,000 pesos from 9:00AM to 2PM and from 2PM - 10PM respectively. They also have a gazebo for 300 pesos and huts with table for 150 pesos following the same schedule with the party venue.

Trying To Be Techie With iPhone 4s

In my main blog last October, I wrote about hubby's phone. It was actually an old phone that has been repaired several times so he thought about switching to a new android phone. I can't afford to give in to his request of getting a high end phone that time because aside from financial considerations, we are also considering the inconvenience of having more than one phone with different networks because at that time, Bren has already two cellular phones; one postpaid from SUN and the other is a prepaid plan from SMART.

Although not that techie, Bren entertained the idea of getting an iPhone 4s instead of any other android phone when it was launched last December. He spent most of his internet life researching about iPhones and other Nokia high-end units for the past few weeks. He has talked about his desire of buying a new phone particularly the iPhone 4s but when I checked the price, it was a bit costly compared to some high end phones of other brands. I told hubby to try looking for any other phone but his mind is already focused on getting that iPhone 4s. And he badly want that iPhone 4s no matter what.

Since hubby celebrated his 40th birthday last Tuesday, I thought that getting an iPhone 4s for him is a gift he would truly appreciate. So this afternoon we went to SM Smart Center to get the long-awaited iPhone 4s. I actually applied for a post paid plan for him and good thing that he qualified. He settled for an iPhone 4s 16GB black because that was the only unit available which is a good news for me because we only need to cash out 4,500 pesos for the unit and the first month subscription :).

I can see how happy hubby was when he finally got hold of the iPhone 4s. As I said, he is not a techie person so it is expected that he doesn't know what to do with his new phone. Lol! Lucky for him, my brother in-law who has an iPod thought him about the applications needed for iPhone since both gadgets have almost the same features. Bren initially find the process a little complicated that is why he said that he will leave the phone to me for a few days until he fully learns the ABC's of iPhone 4s ;)

Congrats and enjoy your new phone Tachu. Belated happy 40th birthday. If you have made your Nokia N95 last for four years, my wish is that you make that new phone last for the next five or six years, please...LOL!

Julz wearing white coat

Julz is a former co-employee in my previous work. He was my trusted ally in the Research and Development Department. Since we belong to the food industry, part of our "working clothes" is a white head cap, a laboratory gown and a white boots.

Although not required, Julz has gone his way to help out the production during the busiest times. As a Research and Development associate, he finds time to get to know all the important raw materials in the warehouse and assist warehouse associates in releasing stocks when necessary.

From Cambodia With Love

One of the greatest things about blogging and the blogosphere is meeting true and generous blogpals like Krizza. I was so surprised when she sent a package to Algene during her vacation here in the Philippines last December. In that package, she included some precious gifts for me from Cambodia. Algene even made a blog post about it expressing how grateful she was for Krizza's generosity.

Just like her, I am so touched and delighted to see what she sent me. It was really unexpected and I am truly happy about it.

The coin purse is just so perfect since I have been planning to change my old one while the nail cutter key chain was used by Bren for his car key and I am planning to keep the other cute key chain until Bella is old enough to use it. Lol... I instantly fell in love with this pink shawl =)

San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City

One of my wanderings here in the city last September brought me to San Pedro Cathedral. I was with my sister who are on vacation when I took this shot. This church is very close to my heart because Bren and I used to come here to hear mass when we were still sweethearts. After attending the Sunday mass, we would indulge to the delightful street foods flocking outside the church which really made us both happy.;)

Named after Saint Peter, San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City is located along the corner of San Pedro Street and C.M. Recto Avenue. This church is said to be the oldest in Davao City being built in 1847 and its design was inspired by Noah's Ark.

It actually took me a little while to decide about the niche of this blog. When I finally decided to make this a travel and fashion blog, another difficulty came in for I don't know where to start. I hope I gave justice to this blog by starting off with this post.

We all know that I have kind of deserted this blog for a little while but with its new look courtesy of a generous and talented blogpal Ronadelle, I have definitely found a new strength to keep this blog alive. I hope you are all still there to support this new blog of mine.
