Okay here we go..... I know a lot of you visit different blogs and cant help but admire the entire design and flare that the blog enjoys. Having said that, you can agree with me that a favicon might not necessarily make you blog awesome but it does at the very least give you that ........... I dont know, kind of feeling. Anyway let's get on with it.

Now there are a lot of ways to get or create a favicon for your blog but am going to just cover one.

If you already have a pic you'd like to use for the favicon, then you are half way there, else

Open your browser and type generate a favicon
A bunch of sites are going to pop up just select one and proceed
Or you could go straight to Favicon Generator and create your own favicon or select from thire gallery
Or you can upload a photo you want to use as your favicon.
Then click generate and wait for the download link to show then download the .ico file

This leads many people to just pick the best-selling products in their chosen category, rather than digging deeper to find products that will generate the most profit.

In this article, I’ll share 4 simple ways you can start getting more from the Marketplace with just a little bit of extra effort. Proper research before promoting a product is often the difference between success and failure, so try out these techniques to get your promotions off on the right foot!

1. Use Advanced Search and Filters to find products that fit your needs

Most affiliates just browse Marketplace categories or use our basic search functionality to find products, but this really limits your ability to find “hidden gem” products that are a perfect fit for your audience and that meet your specific needs as an affiliate. By using our Advanced Search function, you can get much more specific in your search and weed out products that aren’t a good fit. For example, here are some ways you can use Advanced Search to improve your results:

Exclude keywords from the search that don’t make sense for your niche or audience
Search for keywords only within a particular category
Look for high $/sale products (this is especially important if you’re doing paid affiliate advertising)
Find vendors that include a PitchPlus upsell or recurring commissions
Look for products in different languages
Find new vendors to promote by setting the Activation Date to a recent date
Look for vendors with an Affiliate Tools page (more on that later)

The Filters that we’ve added on the left side of the Marketplace can perform some of these same functions, so be sure to use them! By narrowing down the options you can find great products to promote that will give you the best return on your efforts.

2. Use Marketplace Stats to determine customer lifetime value

While it’s nice to get a big commission up front when making a sale, think about the longer term value of a customer as well. Many vendors offer recurring commissions, and if they have a good customer retention rate, you can earn significantly more over the life of a customer than you would with only a single sale.
The easiest way to find these kinds of products is to filter by Billing Type: Recurring, or to look for products with a high Avg Rebill Total, which indicates how much an affiliate earns (on average) after the initial sale of that vendor’s products. It’s not a guaranteed amount, but it’s a good sign that you can continue earning more after that first sale. Our Avg $/sale stat does include the initial and recurring amounts an affiliate will earn from that vendor (on average), so you can look at that as well to get a good sense of the overall value of promoting that vendor.

3. Look for vendors with a Vendor Spotlight or Affiliate Tools page

As an affiliate, you’ve got a lot of work to do creating your promotions and reaching potential customers. Make your life a little easier by using vendor-created resources for your promotions, such as banner ad images, keyword target lists, email “swipe” copy, free reports to give away, and more. It’s less work for you and can make pre-selling to customers easier as well.

Many vendors provide an Affiliate Tools page with these kinds of resources already made for you, or in some cases will create custom tools if you need them. As I mentioned above, you can use Advanced Search or Filters to find vendors with these pages. It can be one of the easiest ways to get promotions up and running quickly and effectively!

4. Reach out to vendors directly

I always recommend to affiliates that they should review and truly believe in any product they promote. Otherwise you stand to lose trust from your audience or even potentially get in legal hot water if you’re making improper claims about a product you’re promoting. .

For this reason, it’s a good idea for you to reach out to the vendor directly to try to get a review copy of the product, or to buy the product directly if the vendor doesn’t provide review copies. Buying the product can also be useful since it lets you test out the vendor’s purchase process and customer support, and lets you feel comfortable recommending that product to your audience. Sending visitors to a vendor who doesn’t reply to email or provide a good buying experience is the quickest way to lose face with your visitors and keep them from buying through your links in the future.

Reaching out to vendors is also a good idea because they may be willing to offer extra benefits or perks such as sales bonuses, customized affiliate links, custom landing pages, or any number of other benefits. You’ll never know if you don’t try! The worst that can happen is they don’t respond, in which case it can be a signal that you may not want to promote their products anyway.

Give these four tips a go when searching for your next promotion. I’m confident they’ll make your life as an affiliate easier and more successful.

To be honest, I had money on my mind when I started this blogging tips blog. It is part of my plan to make money from blogging and that is one of the main reasons I created this blog, being one of the blogs I plan to make money from. I am telling you this because I am not like those gurus that claims they don’t intend to make money from their blog in the first place.

So I will be sharing my experience, as usual, so that this blog readers can learn from it. And this time around, I will be sharing with you 5 simple ways to make money from blogging.

Yes – you can make money through blogging by putting Google Advertisements on your blog. To my observation, Google Adsense is the best way to get passive income from blog. All you have to do is put Google Adsense advertising on your blog and then continue with your own blogging. It is that simple but getting your Adsense application accepted might not be that easy – from experience. But once you get your Adsense application accepted, the next thing is to put Google Adsense code into your blog
and start making money from it. Mind you, you need a lot of organice traffic (traffice from search engines) to get optimum result from Google Adsense but surely you can get some cash from it easily by just working hard on your blog.

You can also sell Text Link Advertising trough webmaster forum such as digital point forum or V7Network forum. If you do not have time to sell text link advertising by your self, we can always submit our blog to Text Link Advertise (TLA) broker service. Anyone who pays attention to SEO techniques knows that getting high quality, “do follow,” and diverse backlinks is the key to search engine optimization. The challenge, of course, is where to find places to get powerful backlinks.

Most people build their link building strategies around blog and forum postings. This makes sense and is certainly part of our plans as well. However, it stands to reason that Google also knows that most marketers who are using SEO tactics to rank their sites are doing this, and it makes sense that they will be looking for a much more diverse backlink pattern to award the highest rankings to.

With that in mind, I’m going to share the top 5 non-forum/blog backlink sources that we teach in Commission Blueprint 2.0.

1. Squidoo Lists

Squidoo.com is a great place to get links back to your site. Type the following into a Google search:

“add+to+this+list”+site:squidoo.com

You will be presented with a huge list of Squidoo lenses where you can add your site, with custom anchor text. Many of these have very high PageRank as well!

For extra credit, append +”keyword phrase” onto the end of this query, and you can target your links for relevance. For example, if you were trying to rank a fitness site you could type:

“add+to+this+list”+”fitness”+site:squidoo.com

2. Web 2.0 Profiles

Many Web 2.0 sites that allow you to create profiles and interact with others provide high PageRank, “do follow” links to the website listed in your profile. Some examples include www.linkedin.com, www.flickr.com, www.twibs.com, and www.zoominfo.com.

When creating profiles on these sites (which you could do for every niche you’re in) you’re able to list your website, which becomes a high quality backlink to your site.

3. Article Marketing for Links

Most marketers are familiar with writing articles to get traffic, but we write most of our articles for backlinks. If you’ve put a link to your site within the article (and let’s certainly hope you’re doing that!), every article that gets posted becomes a backlink (or even 2 or 3). The more articles that get posted, the more links you can build.

To get started, you simply have to write the article and submit it to a few article directories. I recommend: www.Ezinearticles.com, www.goarticles.com, and www.articledashboard.com.

There is absolutely no problem or penalty with submitting the same article to all three places (submit to Ezinearticles first, though, as they are the strictest with regard to unique content), and if you are accepted by all three and have 2 links in each article, your article will result in 6 high quality backlinks!

4. Relevant Lists and Resource Directories

There are many websites that function as a resource for people interested in a particular topic. For example, one site may maintain a list of top weight loss sites to visit. A backlink from pages like these can provide high quality, highly relevant backlinks. The relevance of backlinks is being talked about much more by Google lately, and it is assumed that relevance will play a larger role in site ranking in the near future.

The trick is to find these sites quickly and efficiently. We’ve found the following Google search queries to work very well:

“Keyword phrase” + “add url”

“Keyword phrase” + “add site”

“Keyword phrase” + “add website

For example, if you’re looking to build backlinks to a fitness-related site, you can search for:

“fitness” + “add url

Google will return a huge list of sites that will allow you to add your web site, creating a backlink to your site.

One thing to watch out for is that many of the sites you’ll come across will ask for a reciprocal link (i.e., we’ll link to you if you link to us). These should be avoided. It’s worth the effort to sift through these sites to find ones where you can add your link without having to place a reciprocal link on your site, because these links are less valuable for SEO purposes.

Make sure to keep a list or database of all of these great link building sites/resources that you find, so you don’t have to search for them again the next time!

5. Easy EDU Links

I’ve saved my favorite and most unique tip for last. It’s commonly accepted knowledge that .EDU and .GOV backlinks are valued very highly when Google decides on your search rank position. Some people also know the “trick” to finding blogs and forums on .EDU domains, where they can leave useful comments that link back to their sites. If you don’t, here’s a great Google query to find .EDU blogs:

site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”you must be logged in”

We’re after something more valuable, though. How about a whole page on an .EDU domain where you can put an article or a whole blog post, as opposed to just a comment? All you need is a willing college student!

At many schools, college students are given web space they can use for anything they like. Of course, this web space is hosted on the .EDU domain. All we need to do is to get this college student to allow us to post our material if they like it. But how do you go about finding these students?

If you really think about it, you can’t possibly be many degrees of separation away from knowing someone who’s in college right now. Think about your circle of friends and family, and branch out from there. For example, even though I’m “older” (I have teenage children… sigh), I still have 3 cousins that are attending college right now. If I expand my reach further, friends of my parents have children in college. I’m also getting to the age where my friends are starting to have kids in college. In short, I can’t throw a rock into my personal network without hitting a college student!

All you have to do is approach these students in your network and ask for their help, or give them something in exchange, for the privilege of putting some content on their site. It’s as simple as that

How To Really Make Money with Clickbank In Nigeria

The following is the business model You can use to make thousands of dollars every week with Clickbank. This is going to be long and detail post (over 2,300 words). I encourage you to read though the whole thing because this model works and has been proven over and over by myself and other affiliate marketers. While this model shows how to make money with Clickbank, the model can be applied to any other affiliate network or product (even a blog). I just happen to like Clickbank because information is one of the easiest products to promote and sell on the Internet.

Hit And Run Marketing Doesn’t Work

Most new affiliate marketers getting into the business do what I call hit and run affiliate marketing. It’s the model they’re all familiar with because it’s the one they hear about the most. The hit and run marketing steps goes something like this.

1. Select a Clickbank (or any affiliate) product to promote

2. Send traffic to the landing page with PPC/PPV

3. PROFIT!

I’m sure you’ve all heard stories of affiliate marketers spending $10K a day to make $20K? It sounds great doesn’t it? The only problem is there are not many affiliate marketers who can do that. Also, those who are making a profit using the hit and run model are leaving a ton of money on the table.

Spending money on advertising to get one customer that you will never see again is one of the dumbest business move you can make. That’s like Best Buy spending $50K on a front page ad on the Wall Street Journal to have those customers buy one item and then never visit the store again. They’re go under in less than six months if that’s the case!

Another problem with the hit and run model is it’s not very stable. You have to keep spending money on advertising or the sales stop. You risk the chance of Google slapping your landing page because of a low quality score, you may run out of money tweaking the ads/keywords/landing pages, competition can drive up bids to the point where you can’t make a profit, the advertiser may pull the offer, etc.

Real Businesses Are Built On Repeat Customers

Too many people think of Internet marketing as a game. It’s not. It’s a real business and real businesses are built on repeat customers. A restaurant can’t survive with first time customers only. The Apple Store, or any retail store, would go under in a few months if their customers visit the store once and never visit again.

If someone buys one Apple product, then he is likely to buy another product from Apple. The same thing holds true for affiliate marketing. If someone buys a Clickbank product from you, he is likely to buy another one. But that will never happen if all you do is hit and run marketing because you’ll never see that person again

Repeat business is the key. It’s a lot easier and cheaper to market to a repeat customer than it is to acquire a new one. In fact, the average business spend seven times more in marketing cost to get a new customer than it does to keep an existing one. When you’re doing hit and run affiliate marketing, what you are in fact doing is spending that 7X more money to acquire a customer for SOMEONE ELSE! Can you see now why most hit and run affiliate marketers don’t make money?

A Clickbank Affiliate Model That Works

My Clickbank business model is more complex than the hit and run model. It will require more work on your part but unlike the the hit and run model, you will make way more money with it. Here are the steps

1. Choose a series of Clickbank products in the same niche to promote

2. Create a free eBook about the niche to give away

3. Create a squeeze page offering the free ebook

4. Send traffic to the squeeze page

5. Capture the lead coming to the squeeze page

6. Deploy email auto responders with the Clickbank products

7. Watch the money rack up in your Clickbank account

The main difference between my model and the hit and run model is I’m building a customer base. Instead of sending leads directly to the Clickbank landing page to buy the product and never see them again, I send them to my squeeze page to capture their emails so I can market products to them for weeks, months and years to come. This is a far more powerful marketing method.

The Money Is In The List

I’ve said many times before that the money is in the list but it bears repeating. The money really is in the list. Look at all the really big affiliate marketers. Guys like Frank Kern, John Reese, Shoemoney, etc. They all have huge mailing lists. And because they have huge lists, they don’t have to spend hundreds of thousands per month on advertising. John Reese refers to his list as his ATM. He just goes to it whenever he needs to make a withdraw.

When Shoe launched Shoemoney System on Clickbank, he built a prelaunch list of over 100,000 names. While Shoe did well with his system, that list he built is worth an extra $1 million a year in additional revenue because he’ll be able to use the list to promote other related products.

If you want to become a big Clickbank affiliate marketer (or blogger), you absolutely need an email list. That is your customer base. Without one, you’ll just be another hit and run affiliate marketer working for peanuts. Stop building other people’s customer base and start building your own

Step 1 – Choose a Series of Clickbank Products

The first step to making money from Clickbank is to decide on the niche you want to target. Ideally, the niche should be a niche that you have a knowledge of and a passion for. If that’s not the case, then you can still make money with it but you wouldn’t have as much fun and to me, having fun is even more important than making the money.

The Clickbank Marketplace list thousands of products for you to promote. You can sort search results based on commission, sales, popularity and a bunch of other criteria. I like to get a copy of the product before deciding on whether to promote it. You can either email the advertiser for a copy or buy it from them and then refund it if you don’t want to promote it. All Clickbank products are covered by a 60 day money back policy.

Step 2 – Create a Free eBook

The best way to make people give you their email address is to offer them something they find valuable for free. This is where the eBook comes in. You can write it yourself or hire Michael Kwan to write it. If you’re really cheap, you can use a PLR eBook. They’re just like PLR articles but in eBook size. Personally, I recommend you write it yourself or hire out the writing. The quality of PLR leaves a lot to be desired.

The free eBook doesn’t have to be very big, 20 to 60 pages should do, but it does need to cover the same niche as the Clickbank products you plan to promote. This is why I said you should have a knowledge of the niche you plan to deal in.

Step 3 – Create a Squeeze Page To Promote The eBook

A squeeze page is a special kind of landing page that is created solely to act as an opt in for information – primarily email addresses – from potential subscribers. When people visit my blog, I want them to subscribe to my email list. However, because there is so much to see and read, the number of sign ups isn’t as high as it could be. By creating a separate squeeze page, the email sign up rate can skyrocket. While I can capture maybe 5% of people visiting my blog, I have seen squeeze pages with conversion rate has high as 60%!

The above screen shot is the squeeze page Jonathan Volk used to capture emails. By offering his Affiliate Marketing 101 guide for free, Jonathan was able to get 50% of the people visiting that page to opt into his email list.

The easiest way to create a squeeze page is with Squeeze Theme by Unique Blog Designs. Squeeze Theme is powered by WordPress and will allow you to create custom squeeze pages in minutes.

Step 4 – Send Traffic To The Squeeze Page

Once the squeeze page has been created, you need to send traffic to it. The quickest way to do that is to use pay per click or pay per view advertising. However, that’s also the most expensive way. There are tons of lower cost or free methods for traffic generation. A little creatively can go a long way.

Step 5 – Capture The Lead

Lead capturing is the most important part of affiliate marketing. Your business is built around your list. Anything you can do to increase its size means more money for you.

While a squeeze page maybe the best way to get someone to give you his email address, you still need a system to handle and host the list. My recommended email service is Aweber. I’ve been using them for years and they are by far the best in the business. Step 6 – Deploy Auto Responders

Auto responders are emails that go out at a set date and interval. When someone subscribe to my blog, they are sent a series of auto responder emails. These emails are design to do three things.

1. Build a relationship with the subscriber

2. Promote my blog and brand

3.Recommend products and services that help solve the reader’s problem

Setting up the auto responder is extremely easy and is no different than sending out a normal email. If you’re using Aweber, all you have to do is click “Follow Up” in the Message tab. This will allow you to create a follow up message to be sent to your new subscriber at a later date. Aweber allows you to set up an unlimited number of auto responders.

If you check the screen shot above, you’ll see that my first auto responder email goes out the instant someone signs up to my list. The second follow up email out goes out four days after the first and the rest goes out in one week intervals until there are no more follow ups.

This is also known as a sales funnel. The first few emails helps build your relationship with the subscriber. Later emails in the funnel are used to promote the Clickbank products. This setup works far better than any hit and run system. Research has shown that most prospect won’t buy on the first visit or email. They need to be hit over and over again. This is where the auto responder comes in. The sooner you set it up, the faster you’ll be in the money.

Step 7 – Watch The Money Rack Up In The Clickbank Account

You now have the formula to a make massive amounts of money with Clickbank (or any other affiliate network). It takes more work than the hit and run model but the payoffs are much higher. 3 Simple Methods to Capture Screenshot of a Whole Website

As a blogger, I do take screenshots several times and day in day out, I do encounter the challenge of taking a screenshot of an entire webpage. If you are just like me, who always wanted to capture the whole web page but could only take screenshot of the visible screen, I will show you how I overcome this issue. Capturing screen on your computer can be useful for educational purposes, confirmation, support, presentations, etc. The most usual practise is to capture the screen above the fold, but today, I will be showing you 3 different simple methods you can use to capture the whole of a website and save it as an image (any format) and PDF.

Below are different ways to capture or take screenshot of entire website with ease:

Method 1: Using Fixefox Addons

Mozillar Firefox is a wonderful web browser which has various addons to increase it functionality. Two of these addons are ScreenGrab and Abduction.

ScreenGrab

ScreenGrab is a Firefox addon that allows you to take screenshot of an entire webpage. To me, this is the simplest method I use in capturing full website screenshots (well, maybe because I use Firefox). Firstly, you need to install this addon to Firefox. Once installed, you can then begin using it to take full screenshot of any website you want. To do this, go to the website you want to take the screenshot from, right-click with your mouse anywhere on the page, and this is what will show up:

As you can see in the image above, there are different options available to you. You can take screenshot of the complete page, the visible part, a selected area or the whole window. This means if you want to take a full screenshot of a website, just select the ‘Complete Page/Frame’ and it will be saved as an image to your computer. Abduction

Another effective addon you can use to grab full screens is ‘Abduction! – Webpage Screenshots Screen Capture’ Addon. Just like ScreenGrab, you can also capture an entire webpage or just a selected portion. To use this addon, right click on any web page, frame or iframe, click “Save Page As Image…” and then resize the selection around the piece you want to save. That is all. Method 2: Using Google Chrome Extensions

Google Chrome is also a wonderful web browser, just like Firefox. Although I hardly use Chrome (I’m addicted to Firefox anyways), there are various Chrome Extensions that served different functions. Among these extensions is Screen Capture by Google. With Screen Capture extension, you can take the whole entire screenshot of a particular website.

So to get this extension, just go to the Chrome Web Store and search for ‘screen capture’ using the search box provided. Then select the ‘Screen Capture (by Google)’ extension and install it.

After installation, the extension will be placed on the Chrome Toolbar where it will be easy to access whenever you want capture a full webpage.

To capture a full webpage with Screen Capture by Google extension, go to any website, click on the Screen Capture button on the Toolbar and select Capture Whole Page. You can also use the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl + Alt + H.

Method 3: Using Desktop Application

Unfortunately, not everyone is using either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers. If you are among these group of people and you still want to grab a full screenshot of a webpage, there are couple of desktop programs that offer this function. I will be discussing 2 of such application here and they are WebShot and Paparazzi.

WebShot

WebShot, a desktop application for Windows users, allows you to take screenshots of web pages and save them as full sized images or thumbnails. Screenshots images can be output in the JPG, GIF, PNG, or BMP formats. Click here to download WebShot application from www.websitesscreenshots.com, it is just 1.1MB in size. After downloading, double-click on it to install. To use WebShot, open it by double-clicking on it, enter the URL of the website you want to take its screenshot, and the software will take it for you.

Paparazzi

Paparazzi is another desktop application that can help you take full screenshots of webpages but this is for Mac users. This software can save the screenshot of an entire webpage in different file formats, including PDF. If you are using Mac, click here to download Paparazzi.

Using Paparazzi is also simple. After installation, launch the software, enter your URL, set the size and click Capture. And that is all. You can then have the entire webpage of that URL as an image or PDF.

How to Add Meta Tags and Description to Blogger Blog for Better SEO

Meta tags are as important as quality contents. Many bloggers tend to ignore this wonderful feature which helps in search engine optimization. However before we start, let us look into the meaning of Meta Tag, at least.

The Meta tag in HTML is not a required tag when you are creating your web pages

Webopedia place it this way:

A special HTML tag that provides information about a web page. Unlike normal HTML tags,
meta tags do not affect how the page is displayed. Instead, they provide information such as who created the page, how often it is updated, what the page is about and which keywords represent the page’s content. Many search engines use this information when building their indices.

Is the above quote too complex for you? Here is it in a simple word:

A meta tag is a tag in the HTML that describes what your blog contents is all about. This information (tag) you provide will be used by search engines to index your blog/website, so that anyone searching for the kind of information you have on your blog/website will be able to find it in search engines.

Although we have several types of meta tags but the most important one concerning search engine optimization is the Meta tag and Meta Description which I will show you how to insert it into your blogger blog.

You should however be aware that meta tags and description is necessary if you are targeting organic traffic (and who those not, anyways).

If you are a WordPress user, it is very easy as there are various plugins that can do this for you. An effective plugin that I use personally for this purpose is the All in One SEO Plugin Pack. You can download it and install it on your WordPress blog. Then go to the Settings page to configure, enter your keywords and description and you are ready to go.

Oh… I almost forgot, this is not a WordPress tutorial. Anyways, let us head to how to implement this on our blogger blogs since there is no plugin for that on blogger.

How to Manually Insert Meta Tags into Blogger Blog

As I said earlier, it is in two shapes;

1. Meta tag – which is your blog keywords and

2. Meta description – which is your blog description.

These tags will go into the head section of your blog template. See the steps below to see how you can do this perfectly.

1. Sign into your Blogger Dashboard

2. Click Design/Layout

3. Click Edit HTML

4. Find the code below (by pressing CTRL + F):

5. Insert the code below immediately after the above code:

NOTE: Always backup your template before editing it.

After you must followed the steps above, the integrated code above will be as shown below:

What to note in the code above:

1. Where you have “INSERT YOUR KEYWORDS HERE SEPARATED BY COMMAS“, replace it with your blog/website keywords and separate each keyword with a comma. This can be as long as possible. There is no restriction as the keywords can go. Put as many keywords as possible but do not repeat exact keyword twice – that is, no duplicate keywords.

For example; if you have a blog about “Children Backpack”, your keywords can go like this: backpack, backpacks, children bags, school backpacks, cheap backpacks, and so on.

2. Where you have “ENTER YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION HERE“, replace it with your blog description. This should not be too long. A 160 character is enough.

For example; taking our “Children Backpack into consideration, the description can go like this:

We deals with personalized backpack for your children, toddlers in school. Cheap backpack, bags for your kids.

Did you notice something in the above examples? They all contains the keywords. So make sure both your description and keywords contains your blog keywords.

How to Increase Your Adsense Earnings Using Ads Category

Every now and then, both pro-bloggers and newbie-bloggers keep looking for a better way to tweak their Adsense in other to earn more.
There are many and different ways or methods one can increase Google Adsense earnings. And you might ask yourself, why should I keep reading this when I have read over the same thing all over the Internet times without number? All what I can say… keep reading!
This method, which you might already know or must have come across is very simple and effective but most bloggers keep off their eyes from it. This method is very effective in increasing adsense earnings apart from the controversial ad placement, color blend and bigger size. I called this method ‘Category Filter‘.

This is what we will be doing…
We are going to check through all the categories (about 50) and block those that are performing very poor.
This method is used to allow or block categories of ads from showing on our blogs or sites.
In short, this is how Google put it;

Category blocking allows you to prevent ads from upto 50 categories and sub-categories from appearing on your site

Okay, let us go on to block the less productive ads categories in our Adsense account…
1. Login to your Google Adsense account and click ‘Allow or block ads‘ tab (in the New Interface)
2. Select ‘General Categories‘
3. Select the product you wish to work on. Here, I choose the products one after the other from ‘Content’ to ‘Mobile Content’ excluding ‘Search’ because it has no category settings
4. Scroll down to see ‘All categories’ in tabular form with the ‘Category name’, ‘Ad Impression (%)’ and ‘Earnings (%)’
5. Check through the list of categories thoroughly, including the ‘Ad Impression’ and ‘Earnings’
6. Weigh the ‘Ad Impression’ against ‘Earnings’ for each category
7. Block any category that is performing very low. For example, if the ‘Arts & Entertainment‘ category has ’15% Ad Impressions’ and ’0.8% Earnings’, then you need no prophet to tell you that this category should be blocked.
The main reason we have to block the un-performing ads categories is simple. We need to create room for well-performing ads to appear on our blog so that enough visitors can see them and thus, increasing our CTR which inturns increases our Google Adsense income.
Google will even recommend not to block some categories by using the phrase

That is because that particular ads category is performing well on your blog/site.
