Wow, what a response to the last 'Anything Goes' challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps!!! I've been all around the world leaving comments on some beautiful creations :) What about this week....hope you'll all join us for a great sketch challenge.

Here's my take on the sketch, featuring LOVE BIRDS from AnnaBelle as well as more of the buttons from the colour collections available and some fine hemp twine.

Dylusions Inks coloured a plain white doily and by adding some PearlEx to water and lightly spritzing the doily first gives this a sparkly finish.

Scrapbook Boutique - Lovely Aster 2 ways.

Hi Bloggers,

I'm sharing two cards today using more or less the same products from Scrapbook Boutique. One is very CAS the other a little more fancy........which do you prefer?

Evelyn is sharing them along with the 'how to' over on the store blog if you fancy taking a look :)

The background of this CAS version uses Faber Castell's Metallic Gelatos. This was used like a crayon to colour the background stamp. Giving a light spritz with water gives a soft watercolour effect and the Metallic have a shine that is just lovely!

Here's Lil Monster's Valentine stamped and hand cut leaving the chocolates 'out of the picture'!

I couldn't resist adding the little googly eyes to go with the sentiment today :) This image was coloured with a mixture of Faber-Castell Gelatos with some Prisma colouring pencils used to add some shading.

Don't know about you but I thought if someone gave me this gorgeous cupcake I couldn't possible eat it!!!! I'd just sit and look at it with a silly smile on my face........Isn't it amazing!

As you can see I couldn't get past the cupcake and made a CAS card using Hero Arts - Sparkle Clear: Cupcakes. This little pack includes some gems in pretty colours so two of them were added either side of the sentiment.

Smooth White card for the 4.25" x 5.5" top fold card.

Two strips of pink card, die cut with Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Scallop die came next. Wrapping some matching ribbon over the top and just easing the top scallops up for added dimension.

Three cupcakes stamped to the card base and coloured with Prisma pencils. A fourth cupcake was cut by hand and popped over the centre one. The sentiment, stamped in Versafine onyx black ink with a gem adhered to either side to finish the card off.

Thanks for calling past today. I'm sharing a card I made using my Dylusion ink sprays and AnnaBelle Stamps products. I wasn't very happy with yesterdays cards......in fact I've been struggling again recently!

We've been busy with the next stage of painting and decorating here, so it's hard to concentrate on much else! I'll take some pictures to share soon but it looks as though I might be moving again.......my crafting space that is!

AnnaBelle's has an 'Anything Goes' Challenge this time around, so hope you'll be inspired to play along. You have two weeks to add your link to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog for a chance to win a Shopping Voucher for the on line store.

This week I wanted to use an image that I haven't really used much at all. The set is called Acacia and was designed by one of the past members of the Design Team - Chupa.

I've die cut just a small portion of this floral image and used one of the 11 sentiments from the set. The image was coloured using Faber-Castell Gelatos.

The centre strip of white card was also stamped using one of AnnaBelle's BBD set #5.

I'm sharing a second card today......because it's been lying on my desk :) It uses ABS Designer Flowers.

This card came about after I'd been playing with Distress Paint daubers from my collection of 3!!! I have pink and green as above and also a blue one :)

The embossed background just had some watered down ink painted over and the flower and leaves were stamped over some inked up paper scraps and sit over some ABS black satin ribbon.

Butterflies on a warm Autumn Day...............

Hello,

I hope you're enjoying the same kind of weather as we are........it's been beautiful!

I sent Walshie off this morning to enjoy his favourite beach, (Trial Bay) just for a few hours so I could get on with some cleaning before moving into 'my' room. My new Uniko Studio stamps were here when we got home on Tuesday evening........... I've been dying to ink them up:)

So after the a bit of boring housework.........finally...........

I've used the new digital 'Round In Circles' and printed to glossy card stock for a change. I like the shine against the flat white base card. I used a Spellbinder die to cut the squares and rounded two opposite corners.

The butterfly is from 'Bright Butterflies' and thanks to a generous prize from Beverley of Uniko I have the matching die ......so no fussy cutting yeah! Loving the large sentiment which is from 'All Occasion Sentiments #1'.

I played with the butterflies again for this second card. An Easel, haven't made one of these in ages!

I die cut a butterfly from some masking film, then positioned it over some cream card.

Faber-Castell Gelatos were used to paint the butterfly, the blue has a lovely sparkle but the camera never picks that up :(. Using a flourish from an older Uniko set FONTiment Fancies - Swirls and Flourishes, I filled the image using Flannel Grey ink before removing the mask.

Some layering of coloured card, more die cut butterflies, some cream ribbon and two ABS waterfall Sprinkles complete this one.

I'm writing this post up quickly as the 'Boss' is back home after a day in Paradise (his words) LOL.......now he'd like to know what we're having for dinner! So better go, before he wrecks my nice clean kitchen............

Hello, how are you? We're enjoying some glorious Autumn weather at the moment, so it's hard to be anything but happy!

I masked an area in the centre of a piece of watercolour card. Then using Faber-Castell Gelatos mixed with water I've painted the background. The image and sentiment were stamped, once the background was dry, using Hero Arts Latte chalk ink. To finish the card I wrapped some fine hemp twine and added three Sultana Sprinkles.

I hope you'll take a moment to check in with the Belle's this week. Each card is really different and showcases how versatile this little set is.

Anzac Day in Australia

Hiya Bloggers,

25th April Anzac Day, which in Australia and New Zealand is a national day of remembrance. Services were held here, in our town at dawn this morning as well as at 10am. We attended the 10am service along with several hundred others of all ages which was so good to see. Serving members of the army, navy and air force carried the flags ahead of retired veterans. Children from all the local schools followed behind. Wreaths were laid, prayers were said and hymns sung. The vets were off then to enjoy a lunch at the local RSL and probably exchange stories and remember friends who are no longer with us. They are remembered!

I've been MIA again for a week here on the Blog.......It's been a busy month with visitors, Easter, Quilt Shows and the Soccer!

The Quilt show was good, with a really good crowd over the three days. A couple of good charities will benefit from the sale of raffle tickets for two beautiful quilts, so that's great. I did get a 'little' award for my quilt which was a huge surprise.

The Central Coast Mariners, our soccer team (well the team Walshie's Company sponsors) got through to the Finals again this year. They're a small club without a 'big name' player in the team but with a real family following. We 'had' to go back down for the Final which was held at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney. We drove down to the Central Coast on Saturday and met up with friends to catch a train down for the game on Sunday. What a fabulous day it was, so much fun to be in the packed stadium with an atmosphere that was like being back home! The Western Sydney Wanderers supporters were great, very vocal, singing and stamping, generally making a big noise. The Mariners supporters turned out in good numbers with quite a few children along as per most of their games.

Even after the Mariners won 2-0 most all the supporters stayed behind for the presentations and the party spirit continued until we boarded the trains for home. Whilst Ian worked Monday and Tuesday I managed some hand sewing and a little retail therapy :)

Home again Tuesday evening........... Now I need to settle back down, spend a little time in the garden tidying up before the winter settles in. I came home to some yummy new stamps, so I'll be busy with those .....for sure!

I've been playing with Dylusions Inks again for this card. Using the sprays to colour a small piece of card before stamping the design and cutting away from the frame. I used a die cut (Borders 1) strip of card as a mask to add the detail to my coloured layer. The black card is dry embossed with a Budding Vine EF. The sentiment, once cut to size has had a black Copic marker run around all four edges and to finish 2 licorice Sprinkles have been added.

A share, a show and a sore back.

Hello,

The last couple of days have been spent getting ready for the Wauchope Quilters show. The event is staged every second year so this is my first. It sure takes some organising, with every quilt entered being allocated a hanging spot, so measurements are important and need to be accurate :). These ladies are amazing and very well organised!

Then there are the blocks for a themed challenge, all labeled and displayed to give people a chance to vote on their favourite! All this before the catering, which by all accounts makes a handsome profit. Everyone is asked to bake a cake or slice, though if baking is not your 'thing' a loaf made into sandwiches is also acceptable. On show days these are divided up into mixed plates and visitors have a lovely area where they can sit and enjoy some refreshments.

The girls have made some amazing items to sell on the trading table too. Everything from pretty needle cases, pincushions to full size quilts. Some of the local retail outlets have stalls too, so the stitchers have a chance to stock up on supplies!

The show opens Friday at 10am, if you're in the area.......why not drop in, you'll be made very welcome!

This picture shows the beautiful raffle quilts (behind the table).

I'm off for a soak in the bath I clearly am getting old.....I ache in places I didn't know I had!!!

MUSE Challenge # 12

The Monday MUSE this week is Therese so how could I resist!

I love the overall design of Therese's card. With a pop of colour for the 'off the page' bloom, I also like how the sentiment covers a small portion of the leaves. Beautiful card Therese!

For my card I've used the same design just changed things very slightly. I lowered the design and angled the leaves up. I've used dies to cut the leaf from the white card front. The green shows through from the inside of the card. The Aster is also die cut using a Memory Box Lovely Aster die.

Licorice and White ac160

Licorice and white is the colour challenge for AnnaBelle Stamps this week. Here's my card using BBD # 2 and Love Birds with licorice Sprinkles and satin ribbon.

I saw a good technique on the NET, not sure now where.... but I kind of applied it to this next little sample.

I quite like the result, it's a bit different and I'm looking for something different. :)

The image was stamped off to a scrap of card, then spritzed with water and stamped to the front of this slim card. The same image was then embossed using white ep just off the original image......Not sure you can see that in this photo. Gives a bit of a watercolour look I think......what about you?

This card features ABS Whimsy Flowers.

TIME x 2

Hello,

Both cards today use Uniko Studio Stamps TIME.

The first uses some lovely bright colours and I've fussy cut three of the images to pop up within the cut out square of this pre-cut card base. AnnaBelle's icicles and some Stickles add a little sparkle!

For the second card I've stamped smaller images using VersaMark to the card background adding the larger image over navy card. Finishing off with a button and tag tied with linen thread.

This will be my last post before Easter, Ian's got some time off and we have friends to stay with all sorts of things planned :) I hope you enjoy a peaceful Easter and that the weather behaves!

Birthday Balloons

Today's Uniko Studio card is for the Retro Sketch challenge #56.

During my last trip to Sydney I met a lovely lady who shared her Art Journal with me. She introduced me to dylusions ink sprays, amongst other things! I couldn't resist adding a 'couple' to my stash :).

This card is made from a thick, textured watercolour card.
The lime polka dot strip is one of the pieces I've sprayed using sequin waste as a mask. What you can't see in the photo is the sparkle added by spritzing first with a mix of water and PearlEx......pretty!

The images and sentiments are from Uniko Studio Stamps: Label Love: Birthday. All stamped and cut by hand to add to the card front. Fine twine, and buttons are from AnnaBelle Stamps.

Day 3 and one for the Males!

Three days of Uniko Studio Stamps...... and I have a card for a Male today. Don't know about you, but I make very few of these!

One of the first sets from Uniko was called Extra Time and this set is full of images and sentiments all about TIME......

A Strip of light brown card sits along the edge of the inside of this kraft card. I've sponged all other edges and splattered the card using a watered down Frayed Burlap. Two clock faces are stamped to the kraft using VersaMark Ink. The Sentiment is stamped in Hero Arts soft brown with a third clock face stamped in the same ink to water colouring card. More sponging and die cutting before this was popped up on foam over two strips of burlap tape to complete the card.

I have a post for Scrapbook Boutique tomorrow so Day 4 will be the day after :)

I'm entering my card into Simon Says EASTER/SPRING challenge and

this week's CAS challenge # 9 at Addicted to CAS which is also a Spring theme.

For this card I stamped the images to a strip of white card. This is trimmed to fit over some punched green cardstock, with a sentiment stamped just below. I've also added three ABS Sprinkles to complete the card.

Uniko Studio - Just Because

Good Morning Bloggers,

I have a Uniko Studio card to share today. These clear stamps are such a delight to work with, so why don't I reach for them more?.......Not sure, but I'm thinking over the next week I'll try to put that right. Maybe find a couple of challenges to play along with........that's something else I've let slip :(

This card uses Decorative Doilies stamped within a masked area, embossed double lines enclose the stamped images and two strips of DP in matching colours complete this CAS card.

AC159 - A Sketch for AnnaBelle Stamps

Here's this week's sketch from AnnaBelle Stamps, hope you have fun with it.

For my card I decided on a one layer card in black!

To achieve the vibrant LIME centre I've masked and painted some gesso then coloured with Inktense pencils. A White gel pen for the dots with the image and 'sentiment' from Garden Silhouettes stamped in Black ink.

Three LIME sprinkles complete this card.

Back again, after a few days away. The boss said no computer this time so apart from the iphone I've been 'off line'.........Nice actually to have some time to sit with a book as well as enjoy some retail therapy! It's great to actually see and touch things in the craft stores and to talk about all the new exciting products. I've added a few things to my stash and even more to my wish list :)

Now I'm late drawing the winner for my little Easter Candy.........well actually I did draw a winner by writing names to strips of paper and getting Walshie to pick one out.
