1Malaysia email... Hmmm...

Oh yeah.. There's another 1Malaysia project coming.. I really don't understand, why do our government so like to waste money on useless project? Why would we even want another email? Most of us have 3 or more emails! Hotmail, yahoo or Google provides free email to everyone, why would we need another 1? Since PM you are so generous, why don't you use that RM50MILLION to upgrade the transport? the internet facility? I think those things would require your attention more. I don't think Malaysians will use the email without the thought of, is the government stalking us? Would they track what we do with our email? Will they know what we sent with the email? And why would we need the 1malaysia email for official purpose? Most of us already registered our own email for online payment or whatsoever "official" purpose. Why would we want to went through all the difficulties to change our original email address to another one?

First there was the 1malaysia mega tower, now 1malaysia email. Please.. Don't waste all money on useless 1malaysia this 1malaysia that. We already are Malaysian from the moment we born to this country, no need add the "1" in front of it. We, already are 1 from the beginning. Last time, they see that Facebook is so popular, and they follow suit with the 1malaysia.com social networking site and state that it will win over Facebook, in the end they get hacked and get laugh by it. Now, they want to do this 1malaysia email thingy. Don't they ever grow tired on 1malaysia this, 1malaysia that? Why would everything in our daily life need to put 1malaysia in front of it?

Is it soon that we will have 1malaysia laptop? Eh.. wait! They already did that! 1malaysia clinic? Eh..Eh.. They already did that too! So, what's next? 1malaysia handphone, 1malaysia house, 1malaysia library, 1malaysia diaper maybe?? LOL!! PM said 1malaysia email for all age 18 and above and it will be free of charge. Do you believe it? Maintaining a site is not so easy, it requires MONEY, so when they can't manage it for free anymore, then they will start charging us for the email accounts, which will just add burden to all of us. Do we want our next generation owing debt the moment they are born?

PM, please use the money wisely, there are a lot of other people who needed help. Upgrade university's facility, most of our uni need better internet connection, use those RM50 MILLION to upgrade the internet service, I'm sure all of us would be glad and support that movement. 1malaysia email? NO PLEASE!!!

Sanctum

Sanctum was directed by Alister Grierson. Sanctum was inspired by the film's co-writer Andrew Wight's near-death experience of leading a diving expedition miles into a system of underwater caves, then having to find a way out after a freak storm collapsed the entrance. The shotting of the film was taking place in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The main cast are Richard Roxburgh, Rhys Wakefield, Ioan Gruffudd, Alice Parkinson, Dan Wyllie, Allison Cratchely, and Cramer Cain. Taken from GSC, the synopsis : The 3D epic underwater adventure Sanctum, from three-time Academy Award®-winning executive producer JAMES CAMERON (Avatar, Titanic), follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea. Master diver Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) has explored the South Pacific's Esa'ala caves for months. But when his exit is cut off in a flash flood, Frank's key team-including 17-year-old son Josh (Rhys Wakefield) and financier Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd) -is forced to radically alter plans. With dwindling supplies, the crew-including Carl's girlfriend, Victoria (Alice Parkinson), and Crazy George (Dan Wyllie) -must navigate an underwater labyrinth to make it out. Soon, they are confronted with the unavoidable question: Can they survive, or will they be trapped forever?

This movie has 3D but I watch it in normal. The movie begins with Frank's (Richard Roxburgh) son, Josh (Rhys Wakefield) picking up Carl (Ioan Gruffudd) and his girlfriend, Victoria (Alice Parkinson) at the dock in Papua New Guinea. They are going down the cave to join the rest of the crew -Frank, Jude and George. Frank and the rest of the crew has set up a forward base very deep inside the cave. Frank was a very experienced diver and while waiting for Josh, Carl and Victoria to arrive, he and Judes (Allison Cratchley) decided to continue explore the cave further to find an exit from the cave to the outer sea. While Josh and Victoria rappel down the cave, Carl uses parachute to reach the bottom of the cave.

Meanwhile, Frank and Jude was deep into the water. Frank found a new route which was a quite narrow tunnel that was unexplored. After squeezing through the narrow tunnel, they found a very huge cavern with huge ceilings. When they decided to go back to the base, Judes' hose snaps and she was out of oxygen. With no backup tank (they left it outside the tunnel because the tunnel was too narrow to take the backup tank with them), Frank decided to offer his full face diving mask to share the oxygen together. After exchanging the mask twice, Judes get all panic and refuses to give it back to Frank. Frank was running of out breath so he tries to pull back the mask from Judes and push Judes away. When Frank finally get to breathe, Judes struggle and dies in front of him. The whole scene of Frank pushing Judes away and take the mask away from her was captured by a small robotic video-cam. The scene was then witnessed by George, Josh, Carl and Victoria. Josh accuses and blames Frank for murder. George tries to convince Josh that Frank was doing a very dangerous act back then with the sharing of the full face mask and it was a matter of fact that either it would be two corpses or one of them live. Josh refuses to listen to George or his father.

Frank then order Josh to go back to the campsite to get more backup tanks. Liz (Nicole Downs), Dex, (Andrew Hansen) and Luko (Cramer Cain) follow Josh to go back to the camp. Meanwhile, there was huge storm outside and the surface team tries to warn the people below but fail because of poor signal. When Josh and the gang encounters water gushing in the cave when going back. Josh refuses to go back to surface without notify the rest of the team down below the cave. Carlo follows him back. They arrive just in time to help Frank and the rest. However, during the escape, Luko is badly injured and he fainted in the water. His body was taken by the current and down to the unknown passage. Josh tries to save him but fail. The exit was now blocked and they have to find another way out as the cave is slowly filling up with water. They went back to the forward base to grab anything that was useful. Frank ask Victoria to wear Judes' diving suit so that her body can maintain the body temperature but Victoria wouldn't wear a dead girl's suit. So Frank didn't force her to.

They found Luko floating on the water and was still breathing but was badly injured. Frank decided to mercy kill him so that he won't suffer any longer. Josh disagree but Frank told him that Luko won't live because every of his bones was broken and so George pull Josh away. Frank drowns Luko in the water to end his life. They then continue their journey through diving into the water. Later, (*CAUTION! Spoiler alert, if you don't want to know the ending, stop reading from here!) George was suffering from decompression sickness and he stays behind so that he will not slow down the rest of the group. Victoria's hair was trapped in the equipment when she was rappelling down and falls below to the churning water when she does not heed Frank's warning of not cutting her hair using the knife. So Victoria dies, pulling 3 rebreather with her. The team now left with only 1 rebreather. Frank then plans to use the remaining rebreather to dive and explore to find a way first and then will come back to take Josh and then Carl.

Carl, who gone mad because of the death of his girlfriend -which he blames on Frank but it was his own fault at first when he shown the light on Victoria and make her panicked- took the last rebreather and dive into the water. Frank tries to chase over him but fail. They start to lose hope but then Josh found bat droppings and they knew they would find a way out follow the bat droppings. They soon found an opening on the surface too far to reach and a Japanese tank from World War II. They both decided to keep moving on to find another exit rather than waiting there for rescue. They then found Carl with rebreather that has ran out of oxygen and was starving. Josh sympathize him and gave him food while Frank found 3 glow sticks and a backup tank. He then ask Josh to leave to continue finding a way out. They decided not to bring Carl with them but was actually teases with him. When Frank was going back to get Carl, Carl gone all mad and was running towards Frank with a big stone in his hands. He then attacks Frank and they both fought. Carl push Frank down to the surface and Frank was injured badly in his spine by some minor stalagmites. Josh then attacks back Carl. Carl then dive into the water without anything hoping to find a way out.

Frank ask Josh to mercy kill him so that he won't suffer any longer. Josh then forced himself to do so. Josh dives and continue to swim with the backup tank. He found Carl dead in the water. When the light dies out, he uses the boar-tooth light that his father gave him. The tank soon ran out of oxygen and Josh uses air bubbles trapped on the cave ceiling and continue ahead. Finally he is too exhausted and was on the verge of giving up, but then he saw sunlight and so he swam towards it. He found himself in the Solomon Sea and swims to the nearby beach. He was then rescued.

I was quite enjoying myself watching this movie. It was full of action and thriller. It portrays both good side and also bad side of human behavior when struggles to survive. However, I felt quite sad that *SPOILER ALERT!* Frank was dead just like that. He should have live.. It would then be a better ending than this. Anyway, I would recommend this movie to you and if you wanted to experience the adventure more realistic, then you should watch it in 3D. Have fun enjoying the show and have a nice day everyone!

What Women Want 我知女人心

What Woman Want (我知女人心) is a chinese movie remake from an American version "What Women Want" in 2000 starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. Because of I have never watch the American version, so I'm not sure if they (the plots) are exactly the same. However after I've read the plot of the 2000 version, I think that the plot of these 2 movies are almost the same. Just a little bit different in the way the male lead role get electrocuted. What Woman Want is directed by chen daming. The main cast are of course Andy Lau and Gong Li. Taken from GSC, the synopsis : Fred Wang (Andy Lau) is the top gun of the leading ad agency has his mind fixed on promotion to creative director. When the post was given to a new colleague Ellen, Fred is given an assignment to prove himself - pitch for a women's hygiene product. While brainstorming Fred met with an accident at home. He wakes up to discover his new gift - the ability to hear women's thoughts. The chauvinist suddenly becomes the expert on women psychology.

I'm not sure if it is because of Cantonese version is differ from Mandarin version or what, but the names given in the GSC website are wrong! In the movie, Andy Lau play as Sun Zi Gang while Gong Li as Li Yi Long. See? It is totally DIFFERENT names! Jeesh... So, the story begins with Sun Zi Gang (Andy Lau), a Creative Director of the company who thought that he will soon get a promotion to Executive Creative Director by his boss, found out that the position had been taken by a female, Li Yi Long (Gong Li) who is quite famous in her career. Zi Gang heard of her but never met her before, therefore, when they first met in the lift, Zi Gang even try to woe her. Then, during the meeting, he saw her again and he try to woe her again. After that, he found out that she was the new Executive Creative Director. Zi Gang wanted to prove that he is better than Yi Long.

Yi Long ask everyone to take back the samples of feminine things back home to try it and increase their body's Anima so that they can think more like a woman. When Zi Gang is brainstorming at home (try out every samples in the box given, including make up, dress, stockings, pills and high heels shoes!), his daughter came back with her boyfriend. She was so disappointed with her dad and ran away with her boyfriend. When Zi Gang tries to chase her back, he accidentally fall into the bathtub, pulling the fake fish aquarium lamp with him and get electrocuted. When he wakes up in the hospital, he found out that he can hear thoughts from the nurse. He was very surprised. He thought that he was cursed, and at first, he don't know how to use his power and he kept say wrong things, so most of them dislike him. He found out that he can only listen to woman's thought and not the guys'. His maid then tells him that he can own this world with this ability.

And so, Zi Gang uses his new-found power to woe girls and also to "steal" idea from Yi Long. However, when they both fighting for the big project and Zi Gang manage to get it. They get closer to each other and fall in love. He feels awful of using Yi Long. He tries to tell Yi Long the truth but he can't. Yi Long gets fired and now she is going to Shanghai to find her new career there. Will he tell the truth to Yi Long? Will they get back together?

This movie is not as promising as it seems to be. The plot seems to be a mess and there are a few characters that are left out without an ending. I'm ~~a little~~ disappointed with this movie, however, I did enjoy the movie with a few laughs. I will recommend this movie to you if only you are out of movies to watch and you just wanted to pass time. I don't think it is a must-watch movie. Well, if you insist of watching, enjoy it then!

Yogi Bear (3D)

I'm sure most of us familiar with Yogi Bear in the cartoon series, now, it came back in the big screen! And guess what? It is a good show indeed! According to Wikipedia, the movie was originally slated for release on June 25, 2010, but was pushed back to December 17, 2010. Yesterday, i went to Queensbay Mall with my best friend to watch this movie in 3D! Well, we don't plan to at first, but Queensbay Mall only got screening in 3D for Yogi Bear... So, we watched it in 3D~ It turn out that it is quite worth it~ It is very fun to watch Yogi steal the picnic basket so close and lively.. And the subtitle appears to be in front of your eyes. Yogi (voice by Dan Aykroyd) with his famous quote "I'm smarter than the average bear" turns out that he always create problems for his old time nemesis, Ranger Smith while his side-kick Boo Boo (voice by Justin Timberlake) [man, i don't notice that voice is from Justin Timberlake!] helps Yogi. Taken from GSC, the synopsis : Everyone's favorite pic-a-nic basket-stealing bear comes to the big screen in "Yogi Bear." Jellystone Park has been losing business, so greedy Mayor Brown decides to shut it down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors -- and, even worse, Yogi and Boo Boo will be tossed out of the only home they've ever known. Faced with his biggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove that he really is "smarter than the average bear" as he and Boo Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever.

Yogi with his "idea" again

Jellystone park was the last close-to-nature place the city ever had now and it is turning 100-year-old soon. However, the selfish mayor Brown (Andrew Daly) found out that the city is going to bankruptcy (due to his over-spending on his own goods,which he tends to ignore), and so he and his yes-man / his assistant (Nate Corddry) trying to find places to be exploited. They soon found out that they had exploit every assets that they can in the city but left only the Jellystone Park. And so, they are trying to close down Jellystone Park for logging purposes. Yogi and Boo Boo always try to steal picnic basket from the visitors and this always pissed off Ranger Smith (Tom Cavanaugh) and Ranger Jones (T.J.Miller). A documentary shooter, Rachel (Anna Faris) came to the park to film a documentary about Yogi and Boo Boo, so Rachel set up a video-camera at Boo Boo's bow tie. When Mayor Brown came to tell Smith about closing down of Jellystone, Smith told Mayor Brown that if he manage to cover the loses of the park, Mayor Brown cannot close down the park. The mayor accepted it.

So, to save the park from being close down forever, Smith have to came up something quickly. Rachel offers a suggestion to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the park so that more people would come to the park to see fireworks, which according to Rachel, everyone loves fireworks. Therefore, a centennial festival is held in hope of selling the season passes to raise enough money. Of course things won't went on smoothly, right? If not, it is no fun watching a movie anymore. =P So, to sabotage the festival, Mayor Brown uses Jones to ensures that the festival would be a failure. Jones, who is too naive and wanted to be the Head Ranger, agrees to do that. Yogi promise to Smith earlier that he would stay out from the visitors during the festival but Jones convinced Yogi that he should do something to "live up" the whole festival. In the end, the festival ends up in a BIG mess! Smith was transffered to Evergreen park (which i don't think it is consider a park at all, since the park was only about an average room's big) while Jones was promoted to Head Ranger.

Smith was heart broken and truly disappointed with Yogi and Boo Boo. Later, Yogi and Boo Boo found out about the logging, and so they went to the city to acknowledge Smith. Smith, Rachel, Yogi and Boo Boo went back to the park to stop the sale of Jellystone. They found out that Boo Boo's pet turtle was an extinct species 100 years ago, therefore, they can't close down the park with the turtle living in the park. Mayor Brown found out about it and so he orders his man to kidnap the turtle so that he can continue with his evil plan. He even confessed to Smith, Rachel, Yogi and Boo Boo that he doesn't care about the people and he only wants power. He then went off to continue with his election campaign to be the next state governor. With the turtle being kidnapped and no proof to show that the mayor is bluffing the citizens, how would they success to show the mayor's true colour? Find out yourself after you watch the movie then. =)

I Love Hong Kong 开心万岁

I love Hong Kong is directed by Eric Tsang and Chung Shu Kai. It is yet another very promising movie. This movie is almost like the "72 tenants of prosperity", where it involved the old days lifestyles of Hong Kong. This is really a very worth movie as you only pays RM6 (student and senior citizen) or RM10 (adult) but you get to see so many artists inside a movie!! I particularly liked Bosco in this movie in his "nerdy-looking" look. From GSC, the synopsis of this movie is : A swindler, Long (Eric Tsang), who conned money from all the neighbors of the housing estate 30 years ago, has now become a property tycoon and he promises to pay each of the 30 odd families HK$100 million as compensation. The condition is that all the 30 odd families must each send a representative to return to the housing estate on the eve of Chinese New Year. A mad rush ensues as the old neighbors led by Ng Shun (Tony Leung) and his wife Shun-Soh (Sandra Ng) return to the housing estate on the eve of CNY to ensure they will not miss out on the bonanza!

Again, the synopsis written in the GSC is wrong... Long (Eric Tsang) didn't promise to pay each of the 30 odd families HK$100 million as compensation. The synopsis from GSC is TOTALLY WRONG except that he had conned the money from the neighbours. The story starts at after Ng Shun's (Tony Leung Ka-fai) business failed and they are now broke, the whole family - his wife (Sandra Ng), Ng Ming (Aarif Lee), Ng Chi (Mag Lam) and Ng King (Chan Wing Lam) - need to stay with Shun's dad, Ng Tong (Stanley Fung) in the old apartment. At first the children are not willing to stay there as there is just no enough space for all of them in a small apartment, but it seems that they adapt to it quite quickly. The fun part at this particular scene is when the officer came to check the house to make sure that only 1 people lives in that unit.

Their life didn't went smoothly after that. Ng Shun's wife went back to her old workplace but is bullied by the manager, Koni who was once under her. Ng Shun's wife also have problem when she went to the market to buy things. She get bullied quite bad from her boss but in the mean time, it also contains a lot of laughter scenes inside. It won't get boring watching this movie. The young Ng Shun's (Bosco Wong) first love, Su Jing (Anita Yuen) came back to the estate also and things get even funnier then. Ng Shun's wife get jealous now and then with Su Jing.

Then Lung (Eric Tsang) came back to the estate, Ng Shun hates him for what he done in the past - Lung conned all of the neighbours' money 30 years ago and ran off - but he also miss his old buddy. Wong Cho-Lam plays the young Lung in this movie. They remember the times they spend together. Shun forgave Lung but didn't say it out, they are buddies again. Lung kept tells him in a way that he is very rich now but Shun don't believe. When there is a plan to make alive the housing estate, Shun still don't believe that Lung knows the person. Just when everything was seems to went off smoothly, a company plans to "kick" the residents out of their business and invite all the branded stores to open business. Lung disappears again and Shun regret again for trusting Lung. His family then told him the real reason Lung has left the housing estate 30 years ago and that he didn't conned the money. Will Lung ever appear again? Did Shun trust wrong people? Well, find out yourself!

This is indeed a very very GOOD and HILARIOUS movie. This movie also uses the "inception" concept (if you ever watch inception movie, you will know what i mean), where they spin the coin-like thingy but it never stops. I love Hong Kong shows all kinds of love inside a movie - relationship love, family love, friends love and more -, more importantly it also shows the spirit of helping each other when someone is in need. These are all the values and spirits that we Malaysians should have also. This movie totally suits the CNY mood, better than Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and also All's Well Ends Well 2011. If you are out of budget and time to watch so many movies, my first recommendation was this movie. Don't miss it!!

Mr. and Mrs. Incredible 神奇侠侣

When i first saw the title of the movie (Mr. and Mrs. Incredible), i thought that it was an English movie, you know the animated movie a few years ago (The Incredibles), because of the title. It reminds me of elastic girl and jack jack the most. However, this was a hong kong movie, directed by Vincent Kok. The main cast are Louis Koo and Sandra Ng. Normally in movies, Sandra and Louis are not couple in the movie, but this time, they are husband and wife. Taken from GSC, the synopsis of this movie is : From the producer of Bodyguards and Assassins and the director who brought you CJ7, comes an action comedy of superhero proportion. This larger-than-life action comedy tells about a retired superhero couple Huan aka the Gazer Warrior (Louis Koo) and Red aka the Aroma Woman (Sandra Ng). One day, a martial arts tournament is being held at their village and a murder case happened. To their surprise, Huan & Red was framed entangled in the murder conspiracy. When they gradually find out the true identity of the mastermind, Huan and Red decide to don their costumes in the name of justice once and for all.

However, I found out that the synopsis written is a bit wrong. They are not framed entangled in the murder conspiracy. Huan / Gazer Warrior (Louis Koo) and Red / Aroma Warrior (Sandra Ng) falls in love during the first time they met during a battle to see which of the superhero is better. However, they didn't battle against each other but decided to get married and retired. They then search through all over China to find a suitable place as their "nest" for the rest of their life. After a hard searching, they found rainbow village, a small and very rural village.They live their life there for almost a decade peacefully. Huan became the headman of the village while his wife, Red opens a small restaurant. They decided to get a baby but they seems to fail, so they went to see doctor. The doctor told Huan that he got renal failure while Red's heartbeat is too slow. If they wanted a baby, they need to change the current situation. The doctor told Red that she need to increase her heartbeat so that she can get pregnant, therefore, a lot of funny things happens then when Huan kept trying to make his wife's heart beat faster.

Just when everything seems quiet and peaceful, the people from government came to their village and said that they are going to organise a martial arts competition in their village. Huan is very excited to finally find an excitement in that village while Red is concerned about their hidden status. Hundreds of kung-fu masters that are invited to the competition arrives at their village, all eyeing for the championship. Red sense that there is something wrong about the competition so she investigates it. Finally, they found out the master mind behind this competition and his intention. So, the superheroes once again came to save the world. Will they success?

I really like this movie because the effect is quite good and came in correct time. You won't fill that it is too "over" while enjoying a good laugh. This movie is really suitable for the CNY festive mood. The "fireworks" from Louis and Sandra really good. It shows that they can play a couple too and not only always is Sandra get rejected by Louis in the movie. There is a really good "chemistry" going on within them. This movie is really hilarious and i would rank it higher than All's Well Ends Well 2011.

All's Well Ends Well 2011 (最强喜事) is directed by Chan Hing-ka and Janet Chun, produced by Raymond Wong (黃百鳴). Main cast are Donnie Yen (甄子丹), Louis Koo (古天乐), Carina Lau (刘嘉玲), Raymond Wong (黃百鳴), Cecilia Cheung (张柏芝), Chapman To (杜汶泽), Lynn Hung (熊黛林) and Yan Ni (闫妮).

From GSC, the synopsis : In the latest instalment of "All's Well Ends Well", Cecilia Cheung acts as a worker in a cosmetic company, who is loved by her boss, played by Louis Koo. And at the same time, a rich man played by Chapman To also falls in love with her. Many hilarious situations happen between the three of them. Meanwhile, Donnie Yen takes up the role of a cosmetics sales clerk who is romantically linked with model Carina Lau Ka Ling's character. Donnie is reported not to have any fight scenes in this movie.

I loved watching comedy movies a lot, that is because it makes me laugh and forgets about the stress that i am having for awhile. And since now it is CNY and i got a lot of stress -getting from all the piled-up assignments, presentations and tests-I really need to enjoy a good laugh. ^^ When i was watching this movie, got a few parts that I laugh non-stop. It is just too hilarious.. =) Especially when Chapman To puts on make-up, wear a wig and a purple dress, then, he sang the now-famous China song "tan te" (忐忑).

In this movie, there are 4 couples involved (Louis Khoo - Cecilia, Raymond - Yan Ni, Donnie Yen - Carina Lau, Chapman To - Lynn Hung). The story begins from Louis Khoo, he was putting make up to get ready for his work, he then introduce himself and said that he did not put make up but is concealing his "real nature" due to his type of work. Louis Khoo's character is a famous make-up artist called Sammy. Everyone called him Teacher Sammy. Sammy pretended to be gay in this movie. He is then "conned" to take up a job at Dream's (Yan Ni) company, who her boyfriend-husband-to-be, Ken (Raymond Wong) -oil's tycoon - just bought for her so that she won't be free to disturb him. At first Sammy don't want to accept the job but Ken offers to pay him a huge salary, therefore, Sammy immediately accepted the job. Claire (Cecilia Cheung) was introduced to him during a meeting, his first impression on her is very bad. Claire keeps explaining to him that she was his assistant and not his secretary, Louis asks the difference and when Claire begin to explain to him, Louis shut her off.

During one of the project, Sammy, Claire together with the marketing department and models, they went off to the sea for the shooting of the advertisement for their make-up company. It is during that time that Cecilia was first introduced to Smoothies (Chapman To) by Sammy. Sammy wants to match make Claire with Smoothies. Slowly, he realised that he was in love with Claire. But Smoothies wanted to propose to Claire soon. Who will Claire choose in the end? Will it be Sammy or Smoothies?

Sammy brings his buddy, Ron (Ronnie Yen), who is a salesman and also a make-up artist, into the company to work with him. Ron kept his love for Mona (Carina Lau), a novelist who always act as different people when she wanted to write her novel, although they already break up for a very long time (Mona was his first love). Will Mona notice his love for her in the end? How will Mona react to it? When Ron calls home to tell his family that he was bringing a friend back for dinner, his whole family misunderstood his meaning and thought that he was bringing back his girlfriend home. So when Ron appears with Sammy at dinner time, his family was in a great shock. This was a scene that i've laugh non-stop until it pains my chest.. Lol..

This is the 6th movie of All's Well Ends Well series, and as usual, it contains a lot of laughing plot inside. There are many different issues and conflicts involved but eventually in the end, there will of course be happy ending. When Donnie Yen needs to put make up on 10 faces at a time, it was a very funny scene indeed. We are used to see Donnie involved in a fight scene but during this scene, he was more like using kung-fu to put make up on the faces. It felt weird to me that Donnie need to act quite sissy in this movie, it just didn't suite his image! However, it is a big congratulates to all of them for such a good quality show! I will recommend this movie to you if you wanted to enjoy a good laugh. =)

Katniss Everdeen

The Hunger Games follow the adventure of Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old teenager, in a game called Hunger Game. The story takes place in Panem, where North American once stood. The country is divided into 13 district but now only have 12 district left. This is due to district 13 have been completely destroyed when the rebellion took place. All the district is controlled by the Capitol.. The Hunger Games are the annual television event created by the Capitol to punish the districts for their rebellion, each district have to send out 1 boy and 1 girl to the event to fight to the death. The last one standing would be the winner and he or she will move to victory village to stay. Every boy and girl age from 12 to 18 are eligible to participate in the game.

Peeta Mellark

Katniss Everdeen stays at district 12 with her sister and her mother. His father died in an explosion during work. Ever since her father died, Katniss took up the responsibility to raise their whole family. During the 74th Hunger Games, her sister, Primrose is chosen to participate in the game. However, Katniss volunteer to took the place for Primrose. Katniss ask her best friend, Gale Thawhorne, to take care of her family while she was gone. Meanwhile, Peeta Mellark is chosen as the boy tribute for district 12. Peeta has a crush on Katniss since small and he once saved Katniss by giving her bread when her family is starving. Katniss and Peeta are then brought to the Capitol to be prepared for their games. During the interview with the tributes before the competition starts, Peeta confessed her long-time crush on Katniss but Katniss thought that it was a ploy to gain support from the audience.

In the end, they both won the Hunger Games although it is against the rule. That is because Katniss planned to eat the poison berries together with Peeta so that there would be no winner for that games. Katniss is then threatened by President Snow that she has now become a political target after having defied the Capitol publicly. That is the end of book 1.

In the second book, Katniss thought that everything has ended now but she was wrong. Every quarter century of the games, there will be a special ocassion. For an example, in one of the Quarter Quell, on that specific year of Hunger Games, 2 boy tributes and 2 girl tributes are chosen to participate in the game instead of 1 boy and 1 girl. This year, during the 75th Hunger Games, the tributes are chosen from the winners of the games. Therefore, in District 12, Katniss is the only female winner and so she had to participate in the game again. There are 2 male winners, they are Peeta and last-time winner/their mentor Haymitch Abernathy. Peeta made Haymitch promise that he would gave up if he was chosen so that Peeta can join Katniss in the games again. This time, the game didn't went so smoothly as District 13 is planning another rebellion behind Katniss and Peeta. At the end of this book, Katniss was seriously hurt but was rescued by the rebellions of district 13 while Peeta was left behind.

In the third book, Katniss was now living underground at District 13 with the other winners that the rebellions saved, survivors from District 12 and the remain rebellions. President Coin was the leader in District 13. There are a lot of strict rules that needed to be followed by the residents in the underground. President Coin wanted to use Katniss as a symbol to rebel against the Capitol but Katniss was having a major emotional wreckage which cause her wanted to ignore all the things that are happening now. In the end, because she wanted to save Peeta and the others, she decided to stand up and take up the responsibility as a mockingjay ( a symbol of rebellion). Even until now, Katniss still can't choose between Gale and Peeta. Although Gale and Peeta both know that Katniss would choose the one she can't live without, which is Peeta. In the end, Katniss and Peeta was happily married with 1 boy and 1 girl.

PS: By the way, The Hunger Games movie is going to be released next year, 2012 on my birthday (23rd March)!! I am so happy~ It would be a great gift for my birthday. Can't wait for the movie to be released.. Hope that the plot in the movie stays as close as possible with the book. Well, if you are too lazy to read the novel, you can wait for the movie and watch it then. Any House of Night (HON) fans here?? I totally LOVE this series! Sorry for the caps, but if you haven't read this book, you should get started right now! This book rocks~ and I mean it! The first time my friend introduce it to me, I got addicted after I started to read it. I just CAN'T keep my hands off these book!! This book is funny, adventurous and romance (hmm.. I think it was perhaps a bit too complicated. The female protagonist had a lot of love interests, LOL!) is really juicy... According to Wikipedia, House of Night is a series of vampire-based fantasy novels by American author P. C. Cast and her daughter Kristin Cast. It follows the adventures of Zoey Redbird, a sixteen-year-old girl who has just became a fledgling Vampyre and is required to attend the House of Night boarding school in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

House of Night currently has 8 books available in bookstore and the upcoming book, Destined, is scheduled to be out on November 2011!! I'm so excited about it, I hope I get to read it right now! I've just finish Awakened, which had just been released last month, and it made me want to know what will happen to Zoey and her friends in their adventure. The story revolves around a House of Night in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where all the recently-marked fledglings are required to attend the school for 4 years to become a full-fledgled vampyre. Not all fledgings will turn into vampyres, some may die during the process as their body rejects the Change... Fledglings need to be around fully-changed vampyre most of the time or else they will die. It is because the adult vampyres release a kind of hormone that was needed for the fledglings to go through the Change. Therefore, they can't be away from an adult vampyre for too long, which was why the fledglings only leave the school occasionally.

Zoey Redbird was and is the special fledging which have affinity for all of the 5 elements (air, water, fire, earth and spirit), something that has never happened before. Even one affinity for the elements is very rare and almost impossible for a vampyre, let alone a fledgling. Therefore, this "ability" often created problems for Zoey. Vampyres in the House of Night series can walk in broad daylight, but due to the sensitivity of their eyes to the light, they mostly stay out of the light. Their classes are held from evening to dawn, the exact opposite of ours. One of the differences between a normal human being and fledgling/vampyre is that the foreheads of the fledglings are marked with a sapphire blue crescent-shaped outline. Once they successfully Changed into a vampyre, the crescent on their foreheads will be filled, along with markings surrounding the crescent unique to every vampyre.

However, Zoey is the only fledgling to receive a filled-in mark and tattoo. Every time Zoey triumphs over evil, tattoos will appear on a part of her body. Their one and only Goddess is Nyx, the goddess of the night. Nyx gave them free will, therefore, the path they choose depends on their own will. Some chose Light, some chose Darkness.. Cats are sacred to the vampyres. Every one of them will be chosen and owned by a cat, not the other way round. The thing that I liked most about this series is that you would never know what will happen next. There are also a lot of suspense and unpredictability hanging around. The good guy may become the bad guy, but then suddenly they are back to fighting on the side of good. Or the bad will become good and so on.

If you decided to read it, then just go to the nearest bookstore and buy it. It is very cheap. Each book in this series only costs about RM30. Compare to other young adult novels, HON really is very cheap. =)

I'm sure everyone is in CNY mood now, right? Well, for the Chinese, as I am, I'm sure you are.. =) Even if you are not a Chinese, I'm sure you will also be influenced by the "holiday-mood" too, right? Due to CNY also, there are many new movies available in the cinema. In Feb, there were six movies in my wish-list that I wanted to watch:
1. All's Well Ends Well
2. I Love Hong Kong
3. What Women Want
4. I Am Number Four
5. Yogi Bear
6. Black Swan

My favourites are in that particular order.. =)

Homecoming (笑着回家) is a production from Malaysia and Singapore. I love this movie A LOT! When "笑着回家" is literally translate to English, it means "laughing all the way back home", and this movie really gave me that feeling! I have watched this movie TWICE! And it makes me want to watch it again~ So what do you think? It must have been a great movie right? If not, why would I want to watch it again? ^^ Some of you might think that I am wasting my money to watch something that I've watched before. Well, I don't think so. This is because we can notice different things about the movie when we watch it the 2nd or the 3rd time. For example, for the 2nd time, I noticed that during the main characters' journey back to KL on the bus, there is someone who looked a lot like Jay Chou sitting in the back row!! Really! I not kidding! I even pointed it out to my friends and they all said that that guy really looked like Jay Chou. LOL! Another thing that I notice is that "Jay Chou" keep switching his sleeping position. On one shot, his head was tilted to the left, then suddenly his head was facing downwards in another shot. I think there must be a lot of NGs in that shot, that's why "Jay Chou" keep changing his position. Haha..

This movie is about 3 people from 2 different families who met on the bus going from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. Karen Neo (Jack Neo 梁智强, which I think everyone knows him. The one who played 梁婆婆, remember?) was a modern mother who was taking his son Ah Ming 阿明 (Ah Niu 阿牛) back to KL for a reunion dinner with her sister (Liu Ling Ling 刘玲玲) and also for a matchmaking with a relative from her sister's family. Ah Ming refuseed to go back to have that reunion dinner but his mother forced him to. Meanwhile, her sister's new daughter-in-law Jamie (Rebecca Lim 林惠玲) and her son Boon (Huang Wen Hong 黄文鸿) were keeping a secret. They were trying to tell their parents that they wanted to skip the reunion dinner because they have to rush for a flight to Bali for their vacation. Jamie came from a modernistic family and had never had reunion dinner on the Chinese New Year eve before, so she was feeling awkward with all the mistakes she made and the traditions she did not know about.

Meanwhile, Karen and her son met with a teenage girl named Mindy (Koe Yeet 高艺). Mindy had ran away from home because her controlling, arrogant father Daniel Koh (Mark Lee 李国辉), a famous Hong Kong chef "trained in France (which I don't believe)", was busy preparing reunion dinners for ministers and others of the rich and famous but never had time for his own daughter. Therefore, Mindy decided to find her mother in KL to celebrate CNY. Chef Daniel had to juggle the problem of Mindy running away from home together with the problem of having no workers in the kitchen for the reunion dinner of Singapore's Minister of Culture, because his attitude made all of the workers quit. All he had left was his restaurant manager Fei Fei (Jacelyn Tay 郑秀珍). When Chef Daniel bullied her into getting him some new workers, she pranked him by taking him literally, asking all her relatives to help be the cooking staff. But even then, Chef Daniel's attitude made them quit again, which this time includes his restaurant manager.

The bus taking Karen, her son and Mindy had to stop because of a problem with the driver. Lucky for them they met with a Malay taxi driver named Zool (Afdlin Shauki), who managed to take them to KL even though he had a grudge with Karen a few moments ago.
This movie is all about learning the true meaning of the reunion dinner (团圆饭) and getting together with the family. Nowadays, modern people tend to forget this tradition, therefore reunion dinner slowly loses its value, and less people really, truly treasures these moments anymore. Therefore, I highly recommend this movie for everyone~

At the end of the movie, there are a few NGs shots from the movie's scenes. I really enjoy watching those too. The funniest part was when Zool took out the portable defibrillator kit and tried to shock Karen. They did not expect the kit to voice out verbal instructions once it was opened, causing the need to call for an NG. Lolz.. I really had a great time watching this movie, both of the times! Once with my mum, and the other with my best friend and her ex-classmates. Happy CNY everyone!!

Every monday, if have tutorial assignment for HBT 105, i will go crazy.. haha.. this is because monday 8 to 10am is the lecture and the tutorial is on tuesday 10am... >< that's mean that when dr. give "homework" after lecture, we all need to rush it to be hand up the next day morning.. so this day is the day i will go crazy.. ahhahahahahha... Today we get another tutorial assignment.. therefore, after i finish CMM 111 at 11am, i rush back hostel to complete my assignment... every time, i sure have 1 trouble doing my assignment, that is i can't seem to find one suitable example for one of the question... this time, i face the same situation again, hopefully the example that i found is good enough.. if not, my marks will get deducted again.. haiz..!!

Assignment Assignment Assignment~~ Argh.. i hate assignment a!! this sem super many assignment.. sienz nia.. just finish one, pop up another one.. and the "deadline" all so close!! I should have been completed my CMM 111 lab assignment by now, but i really don't have that kind of mood to do another assignment after i completed my HBT105 a few days ago.. Zzz.. HBT 105 due date is on mon (24 Jan 2011) and CMM 111 is on wed (26 Jan 2011).. Haiz.. then later got LSP 401 presentation.. that need to do presentation using power point.. but that at least is something i 50% like.. Next week also, i need to complete SHE 101 proposal and also STU 242 social psycho presentation..

See?!! So many things to do in one week!!! Really wan go crazy a.. HELP!! I already spent 2 days to bake CNY cookies.. and now, i suddenly feel so anxious and nervous and scared.. i scared i can't finish my assignmentsssss on time.. haiz..

CNY Cookies!!!

Well... At first i wanna do my assignment on TV for the stupid CMM111 lab, but then suddenly i wanna post about the cookies my mum and i made for this CNY.. Every year, we made lots of cookies and i forgot when, we started to sell them~~ =) But.. Not much actually, as we can't mass produce it, we only got 2 person!! For god's sake.. LOL.. And our oven is small..

Yesterday, we made butter cookies and peanut cookies! we start "work" from 2pm until night 9pm!! and we only baked 10 small jars of cookies.. Aiks.. As most of you known.. the price of essential items went UP UP UP again, and so, this time, when mum buy the ingredients, everything is so expensive!! If we need to sell it this year, we need to increase the price of each jar by RM1 or RM2.. No choice.. haiz.. Because this year we start to do the cookies too late, so we only manage to do 4 types of cookies - butter, peanut, cornflakes and choc rice - and each type also only have 4 or 5 jar.. So it is LIMITED edition!! Wahahaha...

Fajar Harapan cafe CLOSE!!!

I stayed at Fajar Harapan, a hostel inside USM campus. Starting from today until 16th Feb 2011 (1 month), the cafeteria will be closed due to renovation. Swt!! Why can't they do the renovation during the sem breaks?? it will be 4 months long!!! Why do they pick now??? Zzzzzzz....... Now that the cafeteria is closed for a month, everyone need to go "find food" at other places.. haha.. for me, i a bit lazy.. hehe... i think mostly i will eat maggie mee or just drink milo + coco crunch.. =)

my first assignment due date is on 24th.. that is next monday.. aiks.. i haven't finish yet.. OMG!! at first i plan to finish it by yesterday, but then, something came up and i don't get to finish it.. haiz.. hope i can do it by this wednesday or thursday, so that at the weekend, i can recheck everything before handing it out to lecturer... hopefully i do it right.. Ok, gtg! Got class at 8am.. haha.. see you all soon~~ muacks~ :-*

On end of Dec, my roommate, Bronwyn and I went to Town Steamboat to eat dinner, while eating, we heard sirens (fire engine's i guess), after awhile, we heard another 2 sirens (fire engine and ambulans), then another siren (police)... must be a very huge incident.. unfortunately, we kept eating and din went to see, so we dunno what had actually happened then.

Today, Bronwyn and I went to eat steamboat again, when we are going back, we saw a HUGE fire at Anson Road there. I quickly ask Bronwyn to capture photos!! This is the first time we saw a live fire in front of us... Frankly speaking, it is quite scary... I can feel the hotness all the way from my car... Freaky.. Here are the photos that Bronwyn manage to take while i was driving past the house...

There are many people stopping their car to watch the fire. On our way back home from the fire, we saw 2 big fire engines and some police in motorbikes going to put off the fire.. It is quite a waste that we din saw how they put off the fire.. I never see one before.. However, it is fortunate for us too because we din stay there, if not, we sure will get stuck at there and don't know when only can arrive home d.. hahaha..

Mum's 2011 Birthday!!!

What happened when you didn't tell each other your plan?? Well... Your mum will be suprised with two birthday cakes!! lolz.. that's what happened in my house. haha.. my bro went to order cake few days before my mum's birthday. he didn't tell me anything about it, today (12/1/2011), i went to buy birthday cake for my mum, at first i wanted to buy it tomorrow (13/1/2011) which is my mum's real birthday but then i think i better buy it today first cause i scared tomorrow i won't have the time to do it. And so, i came home with a birthday cake in my hand. haha.. Just now, my bro came back and i told him i bought cake for mum, he was shocked! He said he already order cake for tomorrow. Oh no.. Haha.. Well, i guess our family need to eat 2 cakes then.. LOLZ!!!

So, tonight, we will celebrate mum's birthday, tomorrow, another one. hahaha.. I can't stop myself from laughing.. =.= it is really hilarious.. So remember pals, don't keep secret from siblings when you want to give a surprise for your parents. If not, your stomach will be the one in pain, while the cake seller earns double your money. haha.. Mum still dunno about the other cake for tomorrow. Bro wanna keep it a secret, i wonder what will be my mum's reaction tomorrow?? it must be priceless.. hahaha... One thing for sure, this year, my mum will be having a very memorable birthday because their children love her so much that they bought her 2 birthday cakes!! haha.. hope mum will remember it..

Oh no!! Haha.. It seems like my post is getting lesser and lesser... Aiks... >.<

On 2009, i do a lot of blogging, but that seems to stop recently.. I wonder why...? Hmm.. Because i getting lazier.. haha.. I always think of writing blog when i am offline, but when i do online, i totally FORGOT about it! So young already Alzheimer.. Aiyaya...

As some of you have known, i took 2 psycho papers this sem as my minor, turns out, psycho is actually quite fun! For social psycho, you can learn to know why people act this way, and some act the other way. It is much affected by surroundings and other factors. As for abnormal psycho, so far, the lecturer has taught us about spiritual psycho. Every human being is made up of 3 things : mind, body & spirit. Without one of it, you are not qualified to be called as a human. Why? Well, if you only have mind and body but without a spirit, you are like a computer. Computer have a physical appearances and also have a "mind" where it can process data and so on. Computer don't have spirit, it won't have feelings. If you only have body & spirit, then you are like an animal. You have physical appearances and spirit in your body, but you don't have mind to think and act. If you have mind and spirit only. Then.. you are a genie!! Because genie don't have fix physical appearances, what you see as it "physical appearances" is actually what it want you to see.

Therefore, you need to have mind, body and spirit to be a human being. =)

Aiks.. i lari dari point awal d.. haha.. so, back to the main point, i will try to update more on my blog. This sem will be quite busy, i hope this sem will have more good memories so that i can blog about it. =) That's all for this post, folks! Have a great day!!

New Semester begins

For USM students, our sem 2 begins on 27th December 2010.. Haiz.. so fast already is the time to say hello to uni life.. haha.. well, this sem, i hope i can do better in the exams, test, course work and so on.. but... this sem, i think it will be harder..

this sem i took 7 papers.. 4 major papers (carry more units) and i scared that i can't do it well.. aiks.. this sem, every paper give me stress.. this sem also, i need to buy lots of books.. and all so thick!! aiyayayaya... need to read all.. i promised myself this sem i should be more hardworking than last sem, and now, i scared i can't make it.. haiz.. whenever i see the books, my head start to pain.. haiz.. anyway, at least i got start to read a little bit before the lecture starts.. hopefully, i can continue to do this for the rest of the sem until final exam... pray pray pray.. ><
