My first ever Chocolate Oreo Cake ;)

As a beginner I chose to have a ready chocolate cake mix for a better measurement recipe. Thanks to Betty Crocker, but I chose to have it unique and have a personal touch of design. I want to share it with you the recipe and picture. Hope you like it.

1 Pack Betty Crocker Chocolate mix (see outside cover for mixing and baking procedure)
8 pcs. Oreo Biscuits - crushed
1 pc. Oreo Biscuit for design on top - cut in 4

Procedure:
1. Bake the cake as directed at the outside cover of the box. Divide the mixture into two to make a 2 layered chocolate cake.
2. Whisk frosting as directed also at the outside cover of the box. Refrigerate after whisking.

For design
1. Coat the first layer of the cake with the chocolate frosting about 1/2 mm.Top it with crushed Oreo Biscuit. Place the other layer of the cake on top of the first frosted layered cake.
2. Cover the whole cake with your frosting. Use spatula in spreading the frosting in the whole body of the cake. For a wavy design, use upward stroke. Start at the bottom then press upward direction slightly up to the top of the cake. Repeat it in the entire body of the cake.
3. When you're done with frosting, Sprinkle the remaining crushed oreo at the body of the cake and at bottom. Top it with chopped oreo.
4. Refrigerate before serving.

"Goodbye" 2011 .... " Hello" 2012

As we say "Goodbye" to 2011 and say "Hello" to 2012, we have so many people we want to thank. I personally want to thank all those whom I walked to the journey of a colorful, conflicting but yet happy 2011. Thank you for those who annoyed me - in that sense I chose to strive to be a better person. Thank you for those who lifted me up - they are the ones who support me in my every day life. Thank you for those who saved me from troubles, heartache, and all the obstacle I walked through, "they" and "it" made me much stronger. Thanks for my friends who've been there in many ways. For my family who've been very supportive. And to my husband.. thank you for the love, understanding and for filling my life with so much happiness. And above all thank you for our Lord Almighty for giving us enough strength then and now as we continue the journey of life. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

In this coming year, May we all have the best of time, the best of luck and the best of life this year and the years to come. Happy 2012 ;)

A day after our 3rd

It's a 13 degree cold morning here in Khobar, but yet I'm warmth because of the breathed of a man embracing me this morning. Twenty four hour of December 16 of 2011 had pass, some becomes history, some becomes memory ... but mine was a great and blissful memory of our third anniversary. As the day goes by, our love unfolds and holds.

We all have our own favorites ... bags, clothes, shoes, watch, etc. We sometimes call it as our "possession" ... even 'd smallest thing. Here are some of my favorites and my husband's favorite as well.

Game addict: =)

Nintendo DSi . Nintendo has updated the system's interface menu to reflect some newly included software. The menu also has icons for starting up a game off cartridge and accessing system settings.

TWILIGHT ADDICT!

Its quite late actually... It's a year after the Twilight fever! I actually watched the movie a month ago.. and i'm in love with the story. I'm looking forward with its sequel "New Moon" . I don't have the book actually.. but I'm planning to have one! These are the plot overview of each book:
TWILIGHT Bella Swan moves from Phoenix, Arizona to live with her father in Forks, Washington to allow her mother to travel with her new husband, a minor league baseball player. After moving to Forks, Bella finds herself involuntarily drawn to a mysterious, handsome boy, Edward Cullen. She eventually learns that he is a member of a vampire family who drinks animal blood rather than human. Edward and Bella fall in love, but James, a sadistic vampire from another coven, is drawn to hunt down Bella. Edward and the other Cullens defend Bella. She escapes to Phoenix, Arizona, where she is tricked into confronting James, who tries to kill her. She is seriously wounded, but Edward rescues her and they return to Forks, having killed James.
NEW MOON Edward and his family leave Forks because he believes he is endangering Bella's life. Bella falls into a deep depression, until she develops a strong friendship with werewolf Jacob Black. Jacob and the other werewolves in his tribe must protect her from Victoria, a vampire seeking to avenge her mate James' death, by killing Bella. A misunderstanding occurs, and Edward believes Bella is dead. Edward decides to commit suicide in Volterra, Italy, but he is stopped by Bella, who is accompanied by Edward's sister, Alice. SPARKS ... SPARKS ... and SPARKS ...

Nicolas Sparks writes romance novels that often have Christian themes and tragic twists. Sparks publishes about one new book per year through Grand Central Publishing, and several of Sparks' books have been turned into movies and my favorite was "The Notebook" its about a man who reads to an old woman he visits from a faded notebook that tells the story of a couple who are separated by World War II, then passionately reunited years later....
This is the latest book I have by Sparks.. Its a gift from alvin.. he actually bought all my Sparks collection ;)
At First Sight is part 2 of his previous book, True Believer, which introduced readers to Lexie Darnell of Boone Creek, NC and Jeremy Marsh of New York City. Of course, they fell in love. True Believer had an epilogue of 45 pages, which the editor said was too long and detracted from the linearity of the book. So, Sparks wrote a new book which extended and completed his original concept of the story.Five years later Jeremy is living in Boone Creek and is the narrator who tells us what has happened over the previous five years with all their sorrow and joy.

RENDITIONS OF THE SOUL
I Bought one last night.. I love all the songs.. I'm really a fan. ROS ” Renditions of the Soul ” is an album that contains a reflection of who Nina is at the moment. Old time favorite ;)
This is my old time favorite! Zashikibuta... It's a Sanrio pig from Netherland .. FYI - Zashikibuta is a "He"! Some people mistakenly identified him as a "SHE" hehehe ..Sad to say Zashikibuta is harder to find now.The Sanrio pig lines are no longer being produced. :( One good thing is that I have some of these collection .. A stuffed toy Zashikibuta - gift for my 18th birthday by a college friend - alvin , a Pen holder - I bought at Gift gate , and Mug - given by my friend ate marl. ;) I'm still looking some of it til now!

Alvin's old-time favorite -- "Chip and Dale" Luckily, Alvin had a chance to meet his favorite characters face to face when we went to HK Disneyland, these are the proofs.. hahahah ... Alvin and the chipmunks... bagay diba??? :))

December 17, 2008 (6:35am) waking up for the first time beside the man of my life.. the man I am about to marry 15 hours ago ..... me - walking the down aisle with teary eyes..... "That was exactly what I had in mind that morning!" Looking at him (still sleeping) makes my heart beats twice as it usually does. Super saya.. iba ang pakiramdam! can't explain it! ----- Honeymoon..... honeymooners!!!! wowowowowow...!!!

Here we come!!! boarding Cebu Pacific Air_ our first destination " Bohol"! A home to some of the country's sublimely surreal natural wonders : The thousand of almost perfectly cone Chocolate hills_para talagang mga chocolate kisses .. seeing it from the upper view deck makikita mo talaga ang so called "God's Creations" you'll be amazed with its beauty.Napakaganda. In addition with it is the beautiful Island of Panglao, the cute Tarsiers (only in the Philippines) at fisrt kakatakot hawakan, pero ang bait pala ng mga tarsiers. Next stop is the Loboc River sabi ng mga boholano lovers river daw yun.. but when I saw it.. totoo nga.. dahil napakaganda din perfect for lovers talaga lalo na pag sumakay ka sa floating restaurant and when you cruise grabe ang saya. Madadaan nyo din ang Man-Made forest papuntang Loboc River ang ganda din tingnan. Next is the Baclayon Church one of the oldest church made by egg yoke! galing diba super tibay parin hangang ngaun.

Our Second destination is the Queen City of the South and the Seat of Christianity in the Philippines-- Cebu City. We've been to Taoist Temple - para kang nasa China and you have to climb 99 steps before you can reach the temple. Then we went up to Mountain View - at first nalungkot kami kasi pag akyat namin puro "fog" d mo makita ang buong view. so we decided na bumaba na lang... but fortunately habang papunta na kami sa car.. biglang nagliwanag ang galing parang hinawi lahat ng fog at nakita namin ang buong view ng cebu ( with all the lights on ). We also went to Sto. Nino Church to attend mass and to give thanks for all the blessings! at syempre pa picture na din. The last before going home was we went to White Beach Resort (gift samin ng friend namin)We really enjoyed it! We love it!

Til this day... naaalala ko pa din ung pakiramdam ng ikakasal, especially before and during your wedding day.(I know every bride knows that) sobrang Kabog! It was a mixed emotions of Excitement and nervousness.. Excited kasi syempre after a long time dreaming of an everlasting love finally I'll see myself walking down the aisle with the man I really love... Nervous naman kasi mejo nakakatakot baka magkaroon ng abirya during the wedding day! .....

Pre-nup pictorials..?? Haay.. saya nun. . puro kulitan lang.. pero sobrang na enjoy naming dalawa ng hubby ko. It was 6 days before our wedding day when we shoot it. Mejo ngarag na. Pero diretso pa din. And that's d time na naenjoy namin ulit ang isat-isa without thinking na meron ulit kami kailangan asikasuhin the next day .. and the day after. It was at La Mesa Ecopark! Gusto kasi namin nature e. Nature lover ba? =)some shots are at BA Studio pero mostly outdoor! Super enjoy!!! Here are some glimpse!

Here's d preparation! It took a year and a half of a long and "stress free" preparation before our "W"-day.. with d help of our family and friends of course! Gathering all the details and information... brain storming for what we will gonna do.. and online chatting with my hubby - for all the information's that i have to give him with regards to church, reception,flowers, gowns, car ... and everything.. and money! hahaha.. Don't have photos of those thing .. =( , sayang! d pa kasi masyadong nag si-sink-in sa utak ko na ikakasal na pala ko noon e. Preparing your wedding without your hubby is really hard to do. Pero halos lahat ata ng wedding fair nung time na yun e naattendan ko n yata halos lahat basta within metro manila (thanks for my mama, bezfriend gwen and kenneth, kuya larry, kuya nilo, ate dez and my ate for that.. sinasamahan ako kahit hangang gabi) kakapagod but very fulfilling. sarap ng feeling e. i even attended our pre-nup seminar myself except the last seminar coz kailangan na talaga ng groom dun e. my husband arrived 11 days before our wedding day, o diba bongga! hehehe but infairness with him, his with me everytime naman thru phonecalls nga lang kasi he wanted also to be a part of it syempre and he prepared every important things before he left para d masyadong hussle para sakin to do the rest.And he search all of it thru internet (thanks for d techy world). To top it all.. successfull naman lahat ng nagyari except yung pagkakalimot ng paglagay ng pen sa signature stand kaya wlang laman ang signature frame namin ng mga messages.=)

Its quite long.. before getting married isn't? But its like a 1 second of happiness and love.. ang bilis lumipas ng panahon. Parang kelan lang lahat.. and now im Mrs. Faustino for almost a year now (hehehe.. a year pa nga lang ba?)I love to share with you our happiness of being together before we tied knots last Dec 16, 2008..we love to travel and explore new things together. here are some bits and pieces of our relationship..
