2012-02-07T21:08:00.000-08:00

a) BINARY INCOME:

b) SPILL OVER INCOME:

c) ROYALTY:

d) REPURCHASE INCOME:

e) REWARD AND AWARD:

SAMSUNG MOBILE PHONE
PERSONAL DESK TOP
MOTOR BIKE
PLASMA TV+HOME THEATER
GOLD WORTH RS 160000
CAR WORTH RS 300000
MAHINDRA XYLO BM
REAL ESTATE WORTH RS 900000
2000 ஜோடி-SKODA BM
GOLD WORTH RS 2000000
ROW HOUSE WORTH RS 3100000

Respected Sir / Madam:

SUB :

TO SAVE THE LIFE OF MURUGAN, SANTHAN & PERARIVALAN, WHO WERE SENTENCED TO DEATH IN RAJIV GANDHI’S CASE AND WHOSE MERCY PETITIONS WERE RECENTLY REJECTED BY THE HON’BLE PRESIDENT OF INDIA

Mahatma Gandhi long ago wrote in the Harijan :

“God Alone Can Take Life

Because He Alone Gives It”

In one of the most civilized countries of the world, it is saddening, death penalty still reigns. We are shocked beyond words that 3 youngsters, who have spent almost their entire life since their teens in solitary confinement, are condemned to face the gallows. Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan who were sentenced to death in Rajiv Gandhi’s case appealed to the President of India for clemency under Article 72 of the Constitution on 26th April 2000. They have all along been hopeful that they would either be released from prison or their death sentence would be converted into life imprisonment by the President of India. They have been awaiting almost every dawn a news of relief from the President. Alas ! The President of India turned down their clemency petition after making them wait for more than eleven long years.

The Supreme Court of India has in the past converted death sentence into imprisonment for life only on the ground that clemency petition of a convict was pending with the President of India for more than 2 years. A five Judge Bench of the Supreme Court of India has in Smt.Triveniben Vs. State of Gujarat held : “As between funeral fire and mental worry it is the latter which is more devastating, for, funeral fire burns only the dead body while the mental worry burns the living one.” The death sentence of these 3 persons were confirmed by the Supreme Court on 11 May 1999. It is more than 12 years since their death sentences were confirmed and it is more than eleven years since they made clemency petitions to the President of India. They have been under the shadow of death all these years suffering every moment in a condemned cell.

There have been cases that even after the rejection of the clemency petition by the President of India, State Governments have considered afresh the need for clemency and converted the death sentence into imprisonment for life.

As early as in February 1979, the Supreme Court of India speaking through Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer, while converting death sentence of a convict into life imprisonment, said: “Our culture is at stake, our karuna is threatened, our Constitution is brought into contempt by a cavalier indifference to the deep reverence for life and a superstitious offering of human sacrifice to propitiate the Goddess of Justice”

It is submitted that the sovereign power under Article 161 of the Constitution can be exercised by the Hon’ble Governor on the advice of Council of Ministers for converting the death sentence of Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan into imprisonment for life even after the rejection of their clemency petitions by the Hon’ble President of India under Article 72 of the Constitution.

It is submitted that pendency of the clemency petitions of these 3 persons with the Hon’ble President of India for more than 11 years may be considered as a significant factor for exercising the sovereign power under Article 161 of the Constitution and for converting their death sentence into imprisonment for life. Their incarceration for more than 20 years may also be treated to be an important factor for commutation of their death sentence into life imprisonment.

To save the lives of these 3 persons by exercising the sovereign power of the State of Tamil Nadu under Article 161 of the Constitution, for which act the world Tamil community would ever be grateful.

Yours sincerely,

Tips To Keep Cool In Summer...

2011-04-06T02:37:00.000-07:00

Home Remedies for Cool Summer

How to Keep Cool in Summer? This is a million dollar question but there are certain very easy home remedies for summer that will keep you cool from within. Cool Summer Drinks- Natural cool summer drinks help pacify Pitta. However don't go for artificial carbonated cold drinks that aggravate indigestion. Also avoid hot beverages like tea and coffee. Here are some home made cool summer drinks that you can have to keep you cool in summer. • Drink enough water during daytime in summer, preferably a glass of water every hour. • Boil milk with a pinch of cardamom or some rose petals. Cool it and enjoy this excellent summer drink! • Have fruit juices like those made from watermelon, orange, pineapple etc. You can add some leaves of mint in them as it has excellent cooling effect. • Make 'lassi' from curd (yogurt). Mix curd and water in ratio of 3:1 and add sugar and/or rose petal to beat the heat. • Have herbal tea made from mint leaves to keep cool in summer. • Make 'aam panna' or the 'raw mango juice' by first roasting or boiling raw mangoes and then mixing the pulp in cool water with a pinch of salt, some sugar and half tsp roasted cumin powder. • Have 'chanch' or buttermilk in the morning with your breakfast. This keeps cool from within and save you from the heat waves outside. • Make 'Thandai' ( it means 'one that cools') with milk and some cool spices. Take one liter milk, 2-3 cups of water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 tbsp aniseed, 1 tbsp almonds, 10-12 peppercorns, a few saffron strands, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder, 1 tbsp dried watermelon seeds, 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds, and 1/4 cup fresh rose petals. Soak aniseed, almonds, watermelon seeds, poppy seeds and rose petals in two cups of water. Boil the milk and let it cool. Make a smooth paste of the soaked ingredients by grinding them with some water. Pour remaining water into this paste and strain through muslin strainer. Add sugar, peppercorns, powdered cardamom, saffron in the extracted liquid and mix well. Now mix it with cold milk. Chill and drink it. Cool Summer Food- Foods with sweet, bitter and astringent tastes are best to keep cool in summer. Foods with sour, salty and pungent tastes should be avoided. Have more of fruits that have high water content like melons, pears and grapes and vegetables like broccoli, cucumber, bitter gourd, and zucchini. Avoid sour foods such as sour cream, vinegar and ketchup. Also avoid much spicy dishes. Use more of cool natured spices like mint, fennel, anise and cardamom while cooking. Dry the mint leaves and store them after crushing. Use this powder mixed in curd with meals. You can also store roasted and powdered cumin seeds to be used in curd which is a very cooling food. Skin Care Tips in SummerIt is very important to keep your skin hydrated in summer season. Here are some natural skin care tips for this summer. • When out in sun, keep your self covered with the help of umbrella or soft cloth like a scarf. Specially, keep your head covered to avoid heat stroke. • Use rose water to keep your skin refreshing. You can mix some rose water in plain water and wash your face and other exposed body parts with it. You can even mix rose water in your bathing water to have a real cool shower in summer. • Massage your body with cooling herbal oils like grapefruit, sweet orange and lavender oil in a coconut oil base. • Use sandalwood paste (by mixing water with sandalwood powder) as face mask. Sandal wood has a calming, cooling effect on body and mind and helps in restricting excessive sweating. • Boil Margosa (Neem) leaves in water. Cool it and use it to wash the face and hands. It has antibacterial effect on skin and keeps you away from getting prickly heat boils. • For clearing skin blemishes, apply watermelon juice on face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with cool or slightly warm water.
