I didn’t expect to meet someone else to marry right away, but I thought that dating would at least be fun. Instead I have gone out on dates with a long string of losers. First was Matt. He worked in advertising sales for Clear Internet and seemed super nice on the surface. We went of a few dates and had a good time until he told me he couldn’t date me anymore because I was too “overweight” for him to see me as “marriage material”. That was a real slap in the face. Second was Mike. I could tell he was rough around the edges when I met him at Bar America, a little dive down the street from my apartment. I liked being around him but the guy didn’t have a job and lived with his mom. I may have been interested in him ten years ago, but it’s not acceptable to live with your parents after the age of 35. I hope that this streak of losers ends soon. I don’t think I can take much more!

Choosing The Right Sunscreen

It is too early for a summer, but this post should be a heads up for many who enjoy the outdoors (and even indoors) during summer! So before summer starts, you will be ready facing the sun with the right protection.

The golden rule is; - always use a sunscreen of SPF15 every day (even if you're spending your time indoors) and don't forget to apply spots such as your ears, neck and lips. When it's time to hit the beach or the pool, follow the following tips

Choose sunscreens that are higher in number which means stronger protection. SPF 80 for example can stay strong all day without re applying compared to SPF 15 that needs to be re applied every 2-3 hours for a solid coverage. Don't waste your time using SPF lower than 15 because they don't actually block 100% of the sun's rays.

Choose products that can protect both against UVA and UVB rays. Ultraviolet A (UVA) causes premature wrinkles and spots, while Ultraviolet B (UVB) can burn the skin.

For daily background protection use a combination of daily moisturizer and sunscreen, but choose a full-fledged sunblock for days spent in the sun. It's because combo products are not high-potency sunscreens because they're diluted by the make up and lotion.

Don't buy separate sunscreens for the face and body. Almost all products on the market are oil-free and non-irritating, so they are safe for delicate parts of the body too.

Take note that sunscreen is not enough always. Add extra protection if you will be under the sun all day by wearing a wide-brim hat to protect the tops of your ears, the back of your neck, and other tricky spots.

Sent from my iPad

The DigiTech Family of Products

Looking for digitech products that are real deals? Did you know that the common cold and influenza share a host of similar symptoms?
One important thing to have a knowledge of when you feel the symptoms is to be able to tell the symptoms you are having from that of an H1N1-like virus or just the sniffles.

While a common cold can make you feel awful for a few days, the flu can be more serious and potentiall life threatening. So, the best thing to do when you start feeling sick is to rest, drink lots of fluids, take OTC fever reducers like Tylenol, and suck sore-throat lozenges to numb the pain.

The common cold usually lasts up to 3 days, but if they don't, you've likely hit with the flu. So, be sure to see your doctor ASAP for further treatment and diagnosis and medications.

Common cold symptoms:
stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, headache

Flu symptoms:
stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, headache, fever, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

Sent from my iPad

Home Insurance That Protect Your Assets

Nowadays, home insurance is one important aspect of needs for homeowners, not only in UK but all around the world.

But how many of these insurance companies can really offer coverages that are worthy enough for your money? In choosing one, you need to ensure what type of these security products fit on your area to be protected.

Some examples would be the stanchions. There are various types that you can choose from based on their purposes. One common type is a stanchion made with a retractable belt and is mostly found in banks, theaters, etc...
Other type is the velvet rope designed for convention industries, but is also popularly seen in many busy places indoors like hotels, and other busy places most likely indoors.

For a tougher security, the security barricades are ideal for handling bigger crowds especially outdoors. That deodorant/antiperspirant can be cancerous! Based on a 2002 epidemiologic study, they found no link between breast cancer risk and deodorant and antiperspirant use.

2. Using underwire bras. This is another oft-reported myth. According to a certain belief, the wire compresses the lymphatic system which causes "toxins" to accumulate that lead to cancer. But medical experts say that no clothing can increase your cancer risk.

3. Caffeine. Although it can make some breasts become more lumpy, many studies have shown that there's no connection between caffeine consumption and cancer.

4. Yearly mammogram. The American Cancer Society says that the amount of radiation you receive from a mammogram is extremely small.

5. Having big breasts. Anyone with breasts, big or small is at risk of developing cancer! But if your breasts are dense - and they can be dense at any size, you may want to talk to your doctor about additional screening methods aside from mammograms. About 35% of breast cancer goes undetected by mammography, and is often a problem for those with dense breasts.

6.Breast implants. Studies show that there's no connection between surgical enhancements and cancer risks but take note that implants can make it more difficult for a radiologist to read mammograms.

Sent from my iPad

Extraordinary Daily Deals On The Go!

It has been 3 days now since I signed up for nomorerack and so far, so good! Avoid ending up in a relationship disaster by following proper sleep hygiene by trying the following strategies below:

According to Dr. J. Maas, a Ph.D, an average person moves 65 times a night on bed. So be sure to have a mattress big enough to keep you from feeling each other flail around. Try using separate blankets or comforters to avoid tug-of-war.

If snoring is one problem, the snorer should try nasal strips, or any sleep remedy OTC's and if it doesn't work, get a silicone earplug that can cancel at least 50% of noise. You should be sleeping better ;).
Heavy snoring should as well be checked out by a doctor who can prescribe treatments.

Sent from my iPad

Settlement Quotes

Are you thinking of selling your structured settlement or annuity, and yet you are not so sure just because you don't know what to do or where to find help? Actually, many companies compete each other just to buy your structured settlement. So as long as you know where you are transacting business with and know where to check online, you are good to go ;).

You can get your structured settlement payments without doing anything but sit down and relax and let somebody do everything for you!...how would you like that?
Well, the process is as simple as you would think when you do it online or by phone. To think that you will be assured that there will be certified funders eyeing for your structured settlement, all you have to do is choose the best offers as you would watch them compete and give their best offers. That's kinda cool!

Check the given link on my post and then from there, you would be guided on what to do. Be sure to follow the instructions either online or by phone. This is an appetite-revving chemical produced by our body, and the more we have this chemical, the lower is our body output with "leptin", a hormone that signals you're full.

Many women seem to be getting up before dawn like for instance going for a workout. But if they are not going to bed early enough, their weight loss efforts can be useless. According to a certain study, it found out that people that are deprived of sleep with low-cal diets lost 55% less body fat than those who are well rested. What they did shed actually was lean muscle mass.

There are also preliminary studies saying that exposure to light from your computer, TV, cellphones may lead to obesity. Melatonin, our body's sleep-inducing hormone is said to be extra sensitive to any kind of glow. Even barely, their lights can disrupt melatonin production, leaving you wide awake and more likely to raid your fridge for food!

Apple Store Coupons & Promo Codes

Hey Apple fans and Apple users! Here is one site worth recommending if you want some coupons for your gadget use and accessories.
I am an Apple user myself, from my ipod to Ipad2! ;)

Let's face it, no matter how tough the competition is, when it comes to gadget technology inventions, Apple had made a long way, and to me Apple will still continue to be no. 1 because of the unbeatable features that benefit me from my work.
Let's face it, there are a lot of Apple store nationwide, but it is rare that they give discounts. Unless they are giving give aways, that is, but your chance is always very little. And to think that the prices are a bit "tough" for the pockets, we would always wish where can we find good deals of discounts and promos, right?

So, if you are planning to get any Apple products, this is your chance to avail of Apple coupons 2012. So, go ahead and make a big start for 2012! And who doesn't like coupons and discounts, especially from Apple?

Actos Lawsuits

Those patients who are diabetic and are using the drug Actos (Piogliatazone) may (or may not for others) suffer from possible dangerous side effects such as heart attack, bladder cancer and even death.

Although it seems some claim that they haven't had any problems with Actos and had been using the drug for many years, Watts Guerra Craft LLP have filed lawsuits against the drug because of many patients claiming they were diagnosed with bladder cancer from Actos use.

The fact can't be denied when it comes from the medical experts themselves. I love her to death but she’s always nagging me about looking into reliant vs TXU and painting the front steps and not calling her after 11 pm. I don’t know why in the world she feels like as a 30 year old woman I’m not capable of handling myself but I think it has something to do with the fact that I live a little closer than I would like to to my family. When I went away to college I gained all this freedom that I relished but being back home in Texas has put me a bit closer to them than I’d like. I wish we could all spend time together without getting into fights but I just feel like my mom and sometimes even the rest of my family don’t treat me like the adult I am. There’s nothing I can’t handle on my own without their overbearing guidance!

Search Job Links

Banquet Chef Jobs are not difficult to find particularly if you search through the internet. (lying nearly facedown)... it says you're likely to be a perfectionist who is compulsive, persistent and goal oriented. This is according to a sleep expert psychiatrist in New York City. The qualities maybe good for your career but not with your body. It is because sleeping in this position can twist your neck into an awkward position, can put excess pressure on your spine and it is more difficulty to inhale. Avoid waking up all achy by gently nudging yourself into a fetal sleeping position by lying on your side with one pillow between your knees and another behind your back.

Lying on your back can mean an adventurous, confident and receptive personality. It also keeps pressure off your jaw which is crucial for people with painful temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. But watch out for this position if you are a snorer. It may trigger undue stress on your airway.
For noisy breathers, buy a full-body pillow that will keep you on your side.

Sleeping on your side reflects the personality to be compromising and appeasing. I know many are still having a hard time kicking the habit but the experts say there are tips that help:

Many teens try to keep smoking hidden from their families. But letting friends and relatives know that you're trying to quit is an essential step to address the addiction.

There are tobacco-cessation programs that can help almost double the likelihood that young smokers will successfully quit. Examples are the ALA Helpline at (800) LUNG-USA or N-O-T (notontobacco.com).

Family and friends help provide encouragement bit if you need extra aid and advice to take with you wherever you go, you can join a support group on Facebook or download a quit-smoking app on your phone.

Consider the cash you would save if you quit. According to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, the average price for a pack of smokes is about $5.51-which is almost $300 a year for somebody who smokes a pack per week.

Take note that it's never too late to quit. In other words, the sooner you quit the better. :)

Sent from my iPad

The "Tough" Strategy Talks To Have With Your Boss

No matter how confident you consider yourself is, I bet you would feel still a little nervous when you have to talk to your head honcho. Being calm (even if you are faking it) on the other hand and at the same time you remain focus on the work, your boss maybe thanking you as you exit from his office.
Here are some helpful strategies to follow if you think it's time to meet your boss face to face!

Situation: You are overwhelmed with a capital O, and need your boss to help you prioritize.
The Best Time To Ask: Better start it before you reach your choke point.
Strategy:
Be sure to be straightforward and leave emotion out of it. For instance, you might wanna say " I wanna continue focusing on other things you think really matter. Can we review the projects I'm working on to see which are most important to you?"

Situation: You want a raise.
Best Time To Ask: At least a month or 2 before your performance review and after well-received projects.
Strategy:
Don't attempt to come up with a number, and in tough times, no one will give a raise just because you want it. You might wanna say; "I'm really trying to establish the growth of my career and I'd like to earn more. Can we talk about how I could increase my salary here?"..This is ideal, as long as you don't do it every 2 months.

Situation: You want to get promoted.
Best Time To Ask: When you feel confident that you're ready for the next step, and you're really sure about it.
Strategy:
Wait for the right opportunity. Be sure to make it about the company and not your need to redecorate your apartment. Always ask your boss what success looks like in the position you want to have, and say; - "Let me think about how I can best achieve it.

Situation: You need to tell your boss you're pregnant.
Best Time To Ask: In this case, you're not asking but simply telling him.
Strategy: Ease the transition, and make your boss feel like she can count on you, so reassure him/her that you're committed to working until close term and returning after maternity leave. Never try to hide your bump until the last minute.

Situation: You want an upgrade from cubeland to an actual office.
Best Time To Ask: When your work requires privacy and you're feeling thick-skinned.
Strategy:
Humility is the key. If your job requires a confidential work or several important deadlines per week that require quiet focus, play up those things, but the word "deserve" shouldn't be in the conversation. Be realistic.

Sent from my iPad
