If we have a Broad-Band connection at home and we also have two laptops. We want to access Internet on both laptops. Then this will be a big problem for us. How can we access internet on both laptops with one Broad- Band connection. Here is the solution for This. We can make a laptop to work as a wi-fi router and connect to the internet with the other laptop. Here is one more question arises how to convert your laptop as a wi-fi router. Here is the following simple steps to Do this work.

First of all we have to make our network connection so that any other device can use the Device to connect to the internet.

Just Go to START->CONTROL PANEL

You will see a screen Like This

Select VIEW NETWORK STATUS AND TASKS

You will see active network connection there click On CONNECTION

Then Select PROPERTIES->SHARING

Check the Book of allow other network users to connect to internet through this computer's internet connection

Now select option Wireless network connection From HOME NETWORK CONNECTION drop down menu.

Now congratulations you have done Half Part.Now You have to make your Ad-hoc network so that another wi-fi device can find your network connection to connect to the internet.

You can do this by following steps

Hey guys....... good news for those who use google chrome as their default browser. Hope they would suffer from this problem that how to download youtube videos directly without copying their url address or embeded code.
Here comes google chrome direct download thread shortcut. You may apply that in your browser aftr giving such a small script to your browser.

Steps to follow

Create a bookmark in chrome and give that bookmark name as "download video".

You have to fill the address space which it demands then you have to paste the below script.....

Tips to create Remote Connection

What is Remote Desktop:

Basically when tou are operating another computer through your pc which is far away from you. When you do that you have to establish a connection that connection is called to be Remote desktop connection.

Remote Setup:

Remote Desktop is disabled by default,

so the first step is to activate it on the system youwant to control. From the Start menu, right-click Computer, then click Properties and next click Remote Settings.

You must change the Remote Desktop setting from "Don't Allow Connections to this Computer" to one of the "allow" options. Which ones you choose will depend on what kind of system you'll be using to connect to this one. If you know you'll always be using another Vista computer to access it, choose the latter (more secure) option. However, if you think you will need to use an XP system, choose the former (less secure) option.

You must makethis choice in advance because Vista's version of Remote Desktop uses an enhanced security method called Network Level Authentication that's not found in Windows XP. If your system is configured to automatically go into standby or sleep mode, you'll get a warning reminding you to disable that, lest your system be unable to respond.

Administrator accounts automatically get access through Remote Desktop, but if you want to give remote access to a non-administrator, you must first add the account.

You can't pick from a list of existing accounts, But after you enter one, click the Check Names button; if the account you entered becomes underlined, it's a valid account. After you're finished, close out of all open dialog boxes. Be sure to note the IP address of this system because you'll need it to make the connection.

Create a Connection:

Now it's time to try remotely connecting to your system, but before using Remote Desktop across the Internet, it's best to test it from another computer on your network. Some extra steps must also be taken to make it work across the Net, which we'll get to in a bit.

Head over to another system and launch the Remote Desktop Connection software from the Start menu. You'll find it under All Programs, Accessories. To get to it more quickly, you can also type "remote desktop connection" or "mstsc" into the Start Search box.

Enter the IP address of the computer on which you configured Remote Desktop, then click Connect. A dialog box will prompt you for a valid username and password. A moment or two after you enter them you should be looking at your remote system's desktop.

From this point you can interact with your far-flung machine more or less as you would if you were using it directly. Bear in mind that you will not want to try things like playing games or streaming audio or video because the connection's not really fast enough for that.

Remote Desktop defaults to a full-screen view, but you can change that to a window or minimize it with the controls on the right side of the yellow bar at the top of the screen. Clicking the pin button on the left side of the bar will auto-hide it; in this mode, just move the mouse cursor to the top edge of the screen to summon it back.

When you're done using Remote Desktop, click the close button and confirm with OK. That ends your remote session, but your remote system remains logged in and running.

Customize:

Before we get into how to configure Remote Desktop for Internet access, let's look at a few of the configurable settings available via the Options button. From the General tab, you can pre-enter the IP address and user name you want to use so they'll always appear when you launch Remote Desktop Connection. From the Programs tab, you can select an application to automatically run when you connect, although you'll have to know the full path to it.

According to a report in Digitimes; Intel is on track of the announcing of a product built usingIntel/Android 3.0 Honeycomb in the third quarter of this year. Tips and Tricks: Handle the infected pendrive

It has always been a constant threat to copy data from a pen drive that has been used on an infected pc. In my this post on Reddtech I will Tell you how to handle the infected pendrive.

Formatting using linux:

There are several means of formatting your pen drive without letting the virus infect your pc. The most popular technique is to format it using operating systems other than windows, such as linux.

1. The reason we use linux as the primary means of virus elimination is that there aren’t too many threats that can affect a linux machine.

2. Insert your pendrive, locate the 'autorun.inf’ file that is infected and simply delete it from your pendrive.

Tracking the infected ‘autorun.inf’ file

Virus often travel across computer on USB drives by taking the form of the ‘autorun.inf’ file. This file is used to launch the ‘autorun’ dialog box when the pendrive is inserted into the usb port. Once infected by such a virus, a copy of the same is made on all drives of the affected pc. Every time the drive is inserted. The virus is executed. Hence it is best to prevent the ‘autorun.inf’ feature in the first place. After doing that we will see some tools that can help avoid infections.

1. The first step is to disable the autorun feature. Click ‘start>run’. Enter ‘gpedit.msc’ and Hit Enter

2. On the left panel of the ‘group policy’ window that opens navigate to ‘computer configuration>administrative templates>system’.

3. Under the ‘system’ section look for the entry called ‘Turn off autoplay’. By default, this entry has its ‘state’ as ‘not configured’.

4. Double –click ‘turn off autoplay’.

5. Click the ‘enabled’ radio button on the dialog box that opens up.

6. From the ‘turn off autoplay on’ dropdown list select ‘all drivers.’

7. Click ‘ok’ to save the setting.

8. Beside blocking ‘autorun’ we can also take the aid of external software that help us to tackle the most common problems faced with USB.

9. Visit the site here.

Click the ‘download the latest version’ link.

The file that we will be downloaded will be in zip format. Right click on the file and extract it.

12. Double click the setup.exe file and install the application.

13. Click start after making sure that the removable media checkbox is checked. This application is quite effective in eliminating the most common threats that we face via usb.

Formatting using dos

Just like we had removed the file using the linux there are many ways that we can remove a virus with the use of DOS. However this process is little diagnostic but it is safe to use when you have conformation that the file is already is your computer system.

1. After detecting a file on your pendrive restart your computer.

2. Keep pressing [f8] during boot up process.

3. From the menu that comes up. Select the ‘safe mode with command prompt’ option using your arrow keys and press [Enter].

4. In the DOS prompt type ‘c:’ and press [Enter].

5. To display files that are hidden type in ‘DIR/AH’ and hit [Enter]. If you do not see the file called ‘autorun.inf’ then your system is not infected.

6. If you do then type in ‘autorun.inf’ in the next line and hit [Enter].

7. Type in ‘DEL C:\autorun.inf’. This will delete the infection from ‘c’ drive.

8. Once done type in ‘MSCONFIG’.

9. This will open up the ‘system configuration utility’ dialog box.

10. Click the ‘startup’ tab and uncheck the entry ‘sample-virus’. Click ‘OK’ and restart your machine.

These are the some steps so that you can get rid off your infected pendrive.
