VANESSA HUDGENS ALMOST LOSES HER BIKINI TOP ON THE BEACH WITH HER BOYFRIEND

Vanessa Hudgens took a dip in a bright bikini during her Hawaiian getaway yesterday. She was joined on the beach by boyfriend Austin Butler and the couple showed PDA on the sand when they weren't in the water. They shared a laugh when Vanessa almost lost her bikini top, but she avoided the wardrobe malfunction by retreating to a cabana to retie her suit. Vanessa made the tropical trip to promote Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, but now that she's done with press it's been all about relaxation. Vanessa and Austin cuddled on lounge chairs last week and were spotted sharing a romantic sunset moment over the weekend. The duo will soon return to the mainland, where Vanessa has more work to do ahead of the Feb. 10 release of her adventure film.

Jeremy Renner reported to the set of The Bourne Legacy in the Philippines yesterday. He was joined by bodyguards and costar Edward Norton for a day of shooting at the Navotas Fish Port in Manila. Jeremy is taking over the lead role from Matt Damon, who starred in the first three films in the franchise. He won't be playing Matt's Jason Bourne, though, since he's being introduced as a new character named Aaron Cross. Jeremy's packing in a lot of action on the big screen lately after the 2011 release of Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol and he'll keep it up when The Avengers hits theaters in May followed by The Bourne Legacy this August.

Reese has something to celebrate, too, now that she's been signed to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in Big Eyes.

Afterward, the guys shook hands and parted with their respective friends. David had his latest sporty outing after recently hitting the field with the Galaxy. He renewed his deal with the soccer team, and we can look forward to a couple more years of David in his jersey. Victoria, meanwhile, is focusing on outfits of her own. She's prepping for not one, but two shows during the upcoming New York Fashion Week. She's storing up energy with the help of a new snack. Victoria tweeted about kale, writing, "I'm addicted to kale! Wash, break into small pieces, sprinkle a little salt and roast — it's so good and amazing for you!"

She kicked things off at Good Morning America, talking about both the feel-good film and her upcoming nuptials. Drew's still "daydreaming" about the wedding and hasn't yet set any plans in stone. She and Will have only been engaged for one month, as he popped the question over the holidays during their vacation in Idaho. Her nearly four-carat ring was on display last night, and she paired the jewelry with a Ports 1961 gown.

MEL GIBSON Temple Tries to Shake Him Down!

A Southern California temple is trying to shame Mel Gibson into undoing a mess it created by taking out a jumbo loan on its synagogue -- a loan it can't afford to pay back.

Congregation Beth Shalom, located in Corona, sent Mel a letter -- obtained by TMZ -- in which it is requesting big money from the actor to prevent foreclosure.

Now here's the shameful part. In a move resembling a dude accosting you for money at a gas station, the letter reads in part, "Our proposal to you, Mr. Gibson, is since you have been cited as an Anti-Semitic, and have denied those allegations, what better way to prove to all your fans and the nay Sayers -- than to endorse and help raise funds for our cause -- SOS, Save Our Synagogue."

The letter ends with this: "Mr. Gibson, we offer you to be a Mensch and make a sizable contribution to our cause."

We know Gibson has contributed a fortune to a bunch of L.A. charities, including $5 million to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- a Jewish hospital.

Mel's rep tells TMZ ... he knows nothing about the request but wishes the temple all the best.

The real issue .... Who knew there were Jews in Corona?

A rep for the temple tells TMZ, "We weren't trying to shame Mel Gibson into giving us money. We are approaching many celebrities and people of the community as well. We thought because of his situation he would be very much interested in supporting our cause."

ASHTON KUTCHER The Party's Over ... Returns to LA

Ashton Kutcher finally touched down in LA -- two days after Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital -- looking far more concerned than he did earlier this week in Brazil.

Ashton was spotted partying hard at a Bruno Mars concert -- the day after Demi was hospitalized when she fell into convulsions at home. She was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital ... where she's been getting treatment for substance abuse.

Demi announced her plans to divorce Ashton back in November.

Since stepping out as a couple in early December they seem to be splitting their time between Jason's home base in NYC and Olivia's West Coast pad. Jason and Olivia celebrated New Year's Eve together in the Big Apple and just returned from a weekend getaway to Palm Springs. Things got extra cozy for Jason and Olivia on Saturday night when strong winds knocked out the electricity at their luxury hotel. Guests were supplied with flashlights and candles to move around the property during the blackout. According to sources at the resortJason and Olivia remained in high spirits throughout the storm, and didn't seem bothered by the power outage.

Jennifer shared that her daughters have already started thinking of names that are "definitely Disney" and that the whole clan is excited for the baby's arrival. Ben and his girls will have something else to celebrate first though, if the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl. They'll be playing the New York Giants on Feb. 5, which is sure to be a big day in the Tom Brady-loving Garner-Affleck household.

Thankfully, it's all for a good cause -- the party's proceeds will go to benefit the Angelwish Foundation for children afflicted by HIV/AIDS.

KARDASHIAN STORE 911 Some Creep Is Terrorizing Us

The Kardashians are so famous ... even their store has creepy fans -- this according to a recent 911 call ... in which a K-Klan clothing store employee begs for police help ... because some weirdo won't stop knocking on their door.

The call was placed on Monday by an employee of D-A-S-H in L.A. -- a clothing boutique owned by the Kardashian sisters -- but by the time police arrived at the scene, the creep had already taken off.

Sources tell TMZ, the mystery man in question had made a bunch of inappropriate comments that made the girls in the store feel uncomfortable. So when he left the store, they locked the doors behind him.

According to the 911 call, the man came back again and knocked persistently, demanding to be let in -- so one girl phoned police.

We're told the Kardashians are aware of the situation and are currently working with local authorities to track down the suspect. So far, no arrests have been made.
