HELLLOOO!!! Sorry for not being an active blogger, I suck!

SO I(sean) moved up to the lovely city of Chicago! I will show you a few of my pictures, which i need to take more of.

Of course living in Chicago requires the use of the CTA. It has been interesting learning the routes and making sure to get on the right trains. I would say I have done a fairly well job!

If you didn't know I am a chemical engineer! This is a sneaked picture during my chemistry lab!

Chicago at night is beautiful! There are so many wonderful places to see and there is something to do everyday. I sound like a travel AD. hahaha

Jessica and I being cool and skyping! I miss her so so so smuch, but we have enjoyed are college lives. We are still as close as we were, it just sucks not seeing her beautiful face!

More CTA pictures! Going to Chinatown is amazing, especially the wonderful foooood! YUM!

I still feel like a tourist walking around the city taking random pictures, but who cares!

I want to be able to appreciate the architecture and city still!

College has gone really well, but I have been incredibly busy with homework, events, and meeting new people! It is such a great experience! Hopefully I will be a more active blogger and learn to balance the two. Also, to take more pictures!

Hello! We are finally doing a post together; it has been quite a while!

We have just been busy with stuff, but we still hang out a lot!

We decided to make ice cream today!

I am making green tea ice cream! First, you have to heat up the milk and steep the green tea bags in it.

Since, we don't have an ice cream maker we have to manually make ice cream. We put our ingredients in a small bag, then inside a larger one with ice and salt!

You know, use the old middle school science experiment way.

I made chocolate ice cream!

It has begun!!

Jessica might have enjoyed making the ice cream too much!

No, I was just excited to eat it!

I was unleashing my anger on the ice cream!

Now I feel much calmer after doing that for 20 minutes!

Voila! Here is our ice cream! Mine was a little bitter and not quite as green as normal green tea ice cream. It was still delicious!

Patience is obviously a virtue I do not have, that is why mine is not done!

We were hungry today for junk food, but there was no ice cream or chips here at my grandma's!

So, along with the ice cream, we also made homemade tortilla chips!

They were awesome!

Château de Chambord & Château de Chenonceau

This part of my Franc trip we visited a couple of château's(castles in English) and other cities o France. They are beautiful and so extravagant. People a few hundred years ago really knew how to be ostentatious!

This is the Château de Chambord it was used as a hunting lodge. Not really something you would picture a hunting lodge to be! It was the place to be during the time. It has 400 rooms and a gran staircase. Unfortunately, we did not go inside because we just made a quick stop to see it.

This is the winery we stopped at after the château. It has been in operation since 1500s!

It was in a cave because of the consistent temperatures they have.

We got to taste some wine, too! We tried 7 different types! hahah

I drank white, red, and sparkling wine!

Back on the bus to travel to our next destination!

We were traveling through the country side. The scenery made me want to go hiking!

The next Château we went to was Château de Chenonceau!

I was so excited to see this one! It was always my favorite château and getting to see it in person was breath-taking!

Throughout the garderns and courtyards of the castle there were roses!

The original castle consisted of several towers at each corner of the castle. This tower is all that remains today.

Each owner would add something to the castle. After the towers were destroyed, then later a large square castle was built to it. Then they built a bridge over the river with archers. After, the bridge galleries were built on top of the bridge to give it the look it has today, which you will see in later pictures. This is the shortened version of the story of Chenonceau, but it passed many owners throughout its existence.

The day we visited was so perfect!

These were on the ceilings in some of the rooms. If they didn't have this they would have another intricate symbol on the ceiling.

This garden was beautiful! Why can't we create something like this today?

The full view of Chenconceua! It was absolutely incredible! I loved how the water reflected it.

The castle also has trails and one of them led us to this labyrinth. It was shorter than I am, but it was still fun going through it.

The Château had other buildings it, too. They were mills and barns for the animals. This was a vegetable and flower garden.

Sean's France Trip: Part 2 (Avignon, Pont du Gard, & Tours)

Now we move onto the second part of my trip!

This part I went to Avignon, Pont du Gard(aqueduct), and Tours.

As the trip progressed I understood the different parts of French culture. Paris is usually the initial thing someone thinks of when someone brings up France. Taking French for four years and learning about the culture I still focused more on Paris. I am glad that the trip moved from southern France to Paris because it showed me other great things besides Paris.

This is the half-bridge(Not sure of the real name) in Avignon. The currents of the river caused the bridge to collapse, but they kept rebuilding. They finally gave up on it and it gained fame from this so they just left it like this!

We walked to the top of a palace, that looked like a fortress, and there was a beautiful view of the fields across the river.

There was good views of down the river, too!

It led to a park that had many statues.

After exploring the park, we got to explore Avignon!

Every town that we visited was amazing!

I thought it was funny they had a restaurant called the American.

The next day, we went to Pont du Gard. It is a Roman aqueduct built in the first century. This is the largest section that is still standing. It has withstood floods and storms that have reached. They sure knew how to build things back then!

We go to swim under the arches. The water was freezing and it looks a lot closer than it really is. It was so worth swimming underneath it. When can you swim underneath an aqueduct?!

After Pont du Gard, we went to do some calligraphy and fencing! We just practiced some letters and I did better then I thought.

This is the instructors calligraphy! I wish I could say this is mine, but he did it so effortlessly.

We learned the basics of fencing, but did theatrical fencing.

We had to practice different moves and put them together to create an interesting fight scene! I am showing who is boss by knocking the saber out of his hand!

More food! I attempted to take pictures of every meal, but sometimes I would just skip them on accident! This is a yummy quiche!

I starting eating the pasta, then I was like, "Oh crap! I need to take a picture!"

Can't have a dinner without a desert! The 9 days I was in France I probably ate the most deserts/pastries then I would in like 6 months!

Hello, Jessica again! Hopefully Sean will post more of his beautiful France trip pictures soon. Until then, I thought I would post again. We were planning on making a post about this, but we didn't get a lot of good pictures and we just changed our minds. But I decided that I would bring up this issue, because it is something Sean and I are both passionate about. The issue is Gay Rights. On Saturday, Sean and I went to Cincinnati's Gay Pride Parade to show our support for Gay Rights.

Myself, on the Purple People Bridge, wearing a cute pin I got at the parade. It is sticking into my backpack... not my arm... I swear. Just keep scrolling... scrolling, scrolling.

Sean, looking awesome and proud, as he should. He is an amazing person. He is intelligent, kind, and passionate about what he wants with his life. He hasn't let any of the negativity associated with being gay get to him because he doesn't let being gay define him. It shouldn't define him as person. It is just a part of his life that he lives with. We are greater than the sum of our parts.

The parade was a pretty good time, but since we don't live in Ohio, we couldn't sign any of the petitions. That sucked. And we aren't 21, so we couldn't look cool walking around with a beer in our hand. (Kidding) And I am not 18, so I can't vote on any of these issues... YET.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I hope that you don't hate gay people. You should just let them be who they are. Let them marry who they love. Let them walk down the streets--dressing however they want to, holding whoever person's hand they want to, doing whatever they want-- without being judged solely because of their sexual orientation. Seriously people, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. And if you believe there is, then your reasoning is invalid, because everyone should have equal rights, no matter what.This is 2012, wake up, we live in a changing world, and we should be working toward equality and peace.

I would love to start a discussion in the comments of this post. There is still a lot to be said and done about this issue.

Esquire Theater/Moonrise Kingdom

Hello! This is Jessica, and I thought I would make a quick post today since Sean hasn't had enough time to post more about his France trip! Anyway, I saw the preview for this movie at the Esquire in May when I was seeing another movie called "Boy" (A lovely, adorable, and simple movie, by the way). After seeing the preview for Moonrise Kingdom, I became obsessed with it, and it took forever for it to get to the Esquire! The Esquire is a movie theater in Cincinnati on Ludlow Avenue. It is my favorite movie theater of all time. For about two years now, my dad and I have went to see movies there together every few months. Now, Sean and I go sometimes too. And of course, you can go here every two weeks to see a live performace of Rocky Horror Picture Show! All around, it is a great movie theater. They put REAL BUTTER on their popcorn. They play great b-movies. The staff is really laid-back and nice.

And it looks awesome as well! It's in the best location, too. There are three Indian restaurants on that street. THREE. Of course, I only love Ambar. And there is also an old Skyline Chili that is open late for those nights after RHPS. There's a couple cute clothing stores. Really, if you've never been there, you are missing out.

Okay, I wasn't planning on going into full detail about the theater, but I seriously went off on a tangent there.

BACK TO THE MOVIE! I don't want to give any spoilers because I am seeing the movie again in a few weeks with some lovely chaps for my birthday and I don't want to ruin it for them.

Basically, the movie is about two twelve-year-olds who are in love and exchange letters back and forth, through which they later plan to runaway together. The boy is an orphan khaki scout and he escapes from camp. The girl--well, her parents call her "troubled"--escapes from her parents and little brothers. When the camp leader (Edward Norton!!!!) discovers the boy is missing, he calls the small town's police officer, and they set up a search party to find them. After the girl's family is questioned about his whereabouts, they discover their own daughter is missing as well. The whole town goes into a frenzy about finding the two children, all while a storm is brewing near the island in which they live.

If I had to describe the film in three words, I'd say: adorable, hilarious, and nostalgic.

I would rate it five stars.

And I would rate my review one star. I apologize if you actually read my sad attempt to write a movie review. Though, I hope you will watch the preview if you haven't already, and go out to see the movie as soon as possible. It was incredible, and if you have never seen a Wes Anderson movie, I suggest you to also go watch them. He is a brilliant director.

Okay, I am done trying to be a writer for the day! I will stick to taking bad pictures and writing bad captions for them. Thank you for your time, I appreciate it!

Sean's France Trip: Part 1 (Nice, Nîmes, Aix, , & Arles)

Hello, Sean here (remember I type in italics)!

I would first like to say sorry for not posting a lot!

I took my trip to France, which caused a gap in our posting. I have been working a lot since I got back, too. We will get back in our groove (I am lame!) and post more!

This post will be about my trip to Nice (pronounced like niece), Nîmes, and Aix, France. I went to France because my French teacher set up an education travel where we toured from the South of France to Paris. I will be splitting up the trip into 5 posts so I won't bombard you with all the pictures I have taken. Hopefully, you enjoy it and see how great France is!

The flight there was hectic to say the least. We were supposed to fly from Cincinnati to Washington, then to Nice. That did not happen, instead we flew from Washington to Houston, then to Frankfurt, Germany, and then to Nice.

Once we got there, though, the flights were well worth it.

The first city we went to was Nice, which is right on the Mediterranean.

Many of the buildings are old, but look beautiful. There are many buildings that look similar to this with modern buildings scattered throughout.

My first meal in France! It was a regular salad, so nothing crazy.

It was still delicious!

For the main course I had some yummy pasta!
You have to have some french bread, too!

Desert was amazing! I am not sure what to call it, but it was like a mouse layered cake.

After dinner, we explored the town a bit and walked through the streets.

In the square they had these statues to represent each continent. The statues face the direction the continent is located. At night they light up different colors.

They have many elaborate fountains!

As it was close to the Mediterranean and Italy, it felt like what a person would picture as Italy to look like. Excepts, with the French language!

We walked to this square, which was awesome! Every restaurant had outdoor seating and the atmosphere was lively. There was too much good food!

Of course, after you eat dessert you have to get more dessert!

This beautiful ice cream is lavender and pistachio from Finocchio! Lavender ice cream is amazing, it tastes somewhat minty and similar to how it smells (the actual plant not in perfumes).

Another picture of the streets and architecture! I could just explore all the streets for days!

At night they have these vendors that sell all kinds of stuff!

Jewelry, artwork, soap, purses, clothing, etc.

Auer, is a well-known chocolate shop. I couldn't get a good picture through the window, but there was sooo much chocolate in there!

The next day we went to the city Nîmes.

The streets were so tiny, but they had so many different shops!

This market was right in a square. There were so many different fruits and vegetables.

It is comparable to a farmer's market in the USA.

An old advertisement on a building that I thought was cool!

They have flower markets where people sell fresh cut flowers. I thought it was cool because we usually just have a garden center that you go to to get plants.

This pizza was amazing! It was huge, but I am proud to say I ate the whole thing!

Later that day we went to Aix-en-Provence!

More vendors selling all kinds of stuff!
I wish I had done more shopping, but we were constantly busy!

We visited this roman temple. I didn't realize that France had Roman buildings.

This arena was huge! I never imagined seeing this in France. Many people just picture Paris immediately with France.

The top of the arena had great views of the surrounding city. It was a perfect combination of nice weather, great view, and historic monument. I could have stayed up there forever!

Later that day, we went to Arles! Another beautiful city in France!

We stayed at a family owned hotel that was in this square with restaurants and shops.

After this post I shall post each post a day after! I just don't want to miss anything because it was such a wonderful trip.

Jessica and I will be doing more stuff, too! We will continue making posts!

The Starbucks Before

Bonjour! Aujourd'hui, Sean left for France!

(I tried to type in French, but that is about all I learned in my four years of taking high school French).

I woke up early so that I could see Sean for a few hours before bringing him to the airport.

Although, there isn't a whole lot to do on a Monday morning in Florence, KY.

Of course, there is always Starbucks.

Caramel Macchiato!

Did you know this is the proper way to drink your coffee? You didn't? Well, now you do.

We are alive and happy!

Sean had to go back to say goodbye to his pup! She couldn't handle the pain!

But his other dog didn't even get off the couch. Ahah, we still love you Zacky.

I wish I could have fit in his suitcase :(

I even drove today! Well, obviously, since I dropped him off.

And that isn't necessarily a good thing... Just different.

But really, there is nothing to do in Florence. We did have an exhilarating time at the mall, though.

We drove around a bit more. Finally, we headed over to the airport.

Aww, Sean was so excited. He even put a little French flag on his backpack.

I didn't get one of him walking away because the airport people scare me.

An Uneventful, Relaxing Day

Greetings! Today, we didn't do much. But our goal is to post daily, so why not post random photos?

Sean came over this morning and looked like this for a few hours.

Hey!! I got up to eat or go to the bathroom a few times!

I read a yoga magazine. Just as effective as doing yoga, right?

It was yoga for the mind.

Frisco (he is my grandma's cat, by the way) is convinced that he is a dog. I had let him out the day before and he seriously jumped off the deck... lesson learned--do not let this wild beast outside.

He pretends to be a very calm dog while inside, just laying around. Then when he gets outside he is like "Freeeedommm!!!"

I had a refreshing glass of tea and there were little fishies in it! Mmmhm, protein.

I still wish your grandma had mint to put in the tea!

A terrifying photo of the leftover spaghetti I had for lunch.

It took me a second to figure out what it was.

Even though it is odd looking, it tastes very good!

We had a good day with page views! It made us pretty happy. Thank you page viewers!!

We got Starbucks, as per usual. Iced coffee with soy.

I can drink a venti iced coffee in like 20 seconds.

Then we decided to go to the gym!

It makes our day seem less lazy!

We shall reap the benefits of going to the gym soon, hopefully!

We decided to go in the Cardio Cinema. They were playing Fast and Furious or whatever it is called. I learned that is not a good movie to run to. Why? Because I was already out of breath and the movie had parts that made your heart jump, and I would almost pass out when they happened. Sad, right? I'm just a bit out of shape.

I hate going into the room while the movie is playing because it is pitch black! Once you reach the machine then you can't even see the controls!

We were pretty much dead afterwards.

We must replenish our lost energy!

Now we are back home. I had a turkey melt. Now the hours of Tumblin' begin...

I ate a bowl of Mini Wheats, but I will eat more later!

Jessica Keeps Her Promise

Hello everyone! In a previous post, I promised to make Sean food!

I lived up to the promise and made Sean some veggie spaghetti!

I was quite doubtful she would make me a meal! Just Kidding!

Here is proof!

Volunteering: Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show

Greetings everyone! Hi everybody!

Today, we volunteered at Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park for their annual Butterfly Show!

We made crafts with little kids!

Gotta represent.

Origami looks easy, but it really is not.

This "goldfish" (I say it is a shark) took me forever to get it right!

I am now considering a career in butterfly crafts.

While we waited for more kids we would make crafts for ourselves.

Come to me butterfliesss!!

They told us these flowers would attract the butterflies. THEY LIED.

My sister! Just kidding.

Sean is creepy, but she got a butterfly and we were jealous.

The butterfly stayed on her head for like five minutes.

Now on to the conservatory!

We were with the butterflies so long that we became them!

"I'm a beautiful butterfly!!"

We are going to explore the vast wilderness of the conservatory.

How To: Survive a Rainy Day

Well hello there! Today, the weather is quite gloomy in the old KY.

My dogs even know what that means.

We decided that we would create a how-to post on surviving a gloomy day!

Hope you enjoy!

Jessica thought it was story time and decided to read the book to me, as well. I made her put the book away so we could eat a delicious meal!

He is so insensitive! :(

Step 1: Make food!

I made boca burgers and mac&cheese! Jessica read the whole time.

I promise, dear Sean, I will make you a meal next time!

Next, enjoy your food! Don't be shy, dig in!

There were still some harsh feelings about her reading.

Alright, control yourself.

Step 2: Have a marathon of your favorite television show!

Ten hours+ of television never killed anybody, right?

Some televisions shows that we watch on Netflix are Skins UK, Weeds, 30 Rock...

Umm... sorry, we aren't really up-to-date with all of the cool shows you kids are watching these days.

Spongebob is still cool, right?

Imaaaaginaaation!!!

Step 3: Make espresso!

You are going to be tired after burning your eyes out with all of that TV!

Remember kids, Caffeine is your friend.

Look how energized we look!

Instead of watching a marathon, we could go run one! (Not really...)

LUSH Fresh Face Mask Time!

Hello readers-so-far-that-we-are-eternally-grateful-for!

I know I already posted pictures of us using this mask, but we wanted to devote a whole post to it, because we both agree that it is quite wonderful! First of all, we love going to LUSH because they have all natural, handmade cosmetics and mostly everything smells amazing. This is the third Fresh Face Mask that we have tried, besides Cupcake and Brazened Honey.

Here is what the container looks like!

At the store, you get them out of a little refrigerator and they are made fresh, so they only last about three weeks.

Here is a lovely picture of me applying the mask!

I was just trying to pass the time until I had a chance to put the mask on.

And a ravishing photo of me with the mask on!

It feels so good on the skin because you leave it in the fridge, and it is cold and refreshing when you put it on!

The coldness and lavender/minty smell of the mask made the slight headache I had disappear.

You leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, but we usually forget to time it.

When you wash it off, it works as a great exfoliator!

Look how shiny and pretty my skin looks now!

It felt so soft and smooth!

It makes the skin feel awesome!

Also, it doesn't irritate it at all or cause any redness.

Overall this mask is absolutely wonderful and we love it!

Hyde Park Adventure

Hello! Jessica here, and this will be our first collaborative post!

Sean here, and I will be typing in italics!

Today we went to Hyde Park to try a new frozen yogurt place.

AKA "fro-yo".

Here it is in all of its neon glory!

On the way there Jessica said, "The sizes are small they are only 10 oz., that is like a little more than half a cup." I was like, "Wait.... don't you mean it is a little more than a cup?"

Hahaha! Oh, the little brain-farts we have!

Mine is on the left!

And mine is on the right!

I focused on the chocolates, because that is where it's at!

The frozen yogurt flavors are: Red Velvet, New York Cheesecake, and Chocolate.

The toppings are oreos, coconut shavings, chocolate chips, and brownies!

The flavors I got are: coconut, strawberry, and peach-mango tart.

The toppings are: strawberry, mangoes, and pineapple.

No chocolate for me, it wasn't that time of month.

(A fruity treat for a very fruity guy).

First bite -- it was delicious!

It was sooooo amazing.
Usually, I don't like deserts, but when I do I really like them!

Then we decided to walk around Hyde Park.

I was looking at a car driving by, and Sean was... well I don't know what he was doing.
I was trying to have a picture where it didn't look like we were posing!
Obviously, I just looked awkward!

This was pretty!
Summer days are the best days!

Art 4 All(I could be wrong on the name) is the project that displays art throughout the city.

Then we went to Eden Park, where I discovered the Panorama feature on my camera.

Ahem, I discovered that a long time ago, slow poke.

I was very deep in thought, so deep I can't really remember.

Sean's First Post

Thank you Jessica for the first post, now it's my turn!

You can't go to King's Island without getting a blueberry ice cream!

In my pictures you might notice a lot are of food, but food is awesome!

Maifest was held in Mainstrasse, a historic part of Covington.

If you enjoy people watching- go to Maifest!

FIYAAA!! We love to play with fire, but we do so safely(if that is possible haha).

Unfortunately, I have a slight addiction to coffee and the Iced Dirty Chai is my fix.
We do go to Starbucks a lot (free refills are awesome), but this drink comes from Windmill.

I got this delicious desert, a Nutella Marble scone, which was made by our friend Abby.
F.Y.I. she is an awesome baker!

As Jessica told you, Mitchie is a bit wild and killed a mole.
After we wanted to hide the evidence; so. she got a bath.

Darling-she has the utmost level of sophistication.

The night we did our face masks we watched Never Been Kissed. The the next day Jessica, her dad, and brother came into the Danbarry(where I work) to watch 21 Jump Street. After, I got off work I went to watch it with them. During the movie, I realized that the two movies were similar! Here is why:

1. James Franco in Never Been Kissed and Dave Franco in 21 Jump Street

2. They both have adults going undercover in a high school

I told Jessica when I realized and she was like, "Whoa! That is weird,"(not her exact words haha). Also, we both can't deny that the Franco's are very attractive. We tried to share the epiphany with her brother, but he didn't quite appreciate it as much as us.

Jessica's First Post- Our Summer So Far

It has been nine days since we both graduated high school!
Here are some photos and some stories about what we have done so far together with our time!

The day after the last day of high school, a bunch of seniors went to Kings Island.

Here is Sean being his natural self in a costume shop.

This is me being... me.

I'd like to say we were cool and got a picture during a crazy ride, but this is just us pretending to be scared while riding one of the least-intimidating rides at Kings Island...
Top Gun (I don't know the real new name for it).

The next night we met our friend Katie in Covington to experience a lovely event called Maifest...

There was vomit, fighting, people passing out, and other fun sights.

But oh, it did bring some nostalgia for the times when fair rides were actually exciting.

This was during Sean's graduation party at his sister's house.
Her dog had puppies and they looked like little polar bears.
I could have cried of happiness!

The next day we drove to Cincinnati.

We went to Whole Foods and had a nice lunch.
Vegan Veggie Pizza (The cheese was not real cheese, I was confused!)

Yep, sounds about right.

Oh yeah, we drink a lot of starbucks...

Sean has the Rewards card so we get a million free refills every time we go.

Sean had a lot of leftover s'mores from his party, so we have eaten s'mores every night since then.

We decided to use our Fresh Face Mask from Lush (the best store ever!) that night.
This is called Love Lettuce... Appetizing, right?

Attractive, I know.

The next day, Harry Potter was on, and we had to watch it!
Oh, Neville... ;)

Then, after spending the entire morning cooped up inside, we decided to head to a local coffee shop called Windmill.
Our friend Abby was working, it was nice to see her in all of her cheery delightfulness.
I got the Almond Oolong Blossom Tea, it was refreshing and delicious!

Then we went back to Sean's and he made vegetarian chili cheese coneys!

He is a vegetarian BTW, and he loves making new vegetarian meals.

These were fantistico!

I painted my nails with my new cheapo nail polish!
Looks like I never did learn how to stay inside the lines...

Meet Sean's dog, the adorable, crazy, tiny Mitchie!
She may look so prim and proper, but the day before she had killed a mole in their backyard!

Sean got a haircut, looking fresh like always!

Two nights ago we made a fire on my drive way... not exactly the smartest thing to do, but it was cool!

And of course we made more s'mores!

Yesterday morning, I was cranky and in need of coffee!

But Sean had to venture to the mall to get pants.

By the way, we live in Florence, KY. This is our landmark if you didn't know

...and the reason I grew up thinking that water towers were called y'alls.

...I still believe it.

We traded up our usual iced coffee for some passion tea because it was extremely hot that day!

We also tried some cake pops! Raspberry Truffle- they were wonderful!

Then last night Sean came over after work with a greasy face and greasy Chinese food.

(He works at a movie theater so that explains the face grease)

Well, there you have it. Not the best ending for my first post.

But I hope you enjoyed reading and looking at our lives!

Next time, I will make my post smaller and more focused.
