PacMan Party .. Inside the Goody Bag (PacMan Ghost Marshmallow Pops)

Continuing on with the goody bags. Pinterest several food items, and most you know that I like to put fun creations instead of toys. I found PacMan Dots Tube idea on Festa Teen and had to do for the party! I kept mine a little simpler to make the 20 I needed. Another HUGE shout out to KandyKreations for these amazing PacMan tents. This is one of the BEST sites I've come across for party needs and she has a ton of FREE downloads which makes this mom very happy!

Supplies:

Large Marshmallows

Card Stock (White)
Hole PunchPaper Cutter
Scissors
Candy Eyes
Royal Icing (glue for eyes)
Food Coloring
Twine or Ribbon
Small Clear plastic bag

I took the Extra Large Marshmallows and took some food coloring with a little water to coat them I used yellow, purple and blue. After they dried I added the candy eyes. I found the royal icing is the best due to it acts like glue (a lot of ppl use it for gingerbread houses). After the eyes are harden onto the marshmallows I then put them in a clear plastic treat bag.

I downloaded PacMan Font from DaFont, this is my go to place for font's. Now her tents were made to make a tent. I copied and put into a word doc to give me 8 per sheet. Since I was putting on the top of bags I didn't need to fold over or extra paper. PLUS I'm cheap and like to maximize my paper to the fullest .

I attached the label to the clear bags using twine.

Clear Tube (Bought on Amazon)
Mini Marshmallows (Or Small White Gum Balls)

Card Stock (White)

Cricut (to cut circles for PacMan)
Black Sharpie
Glue Stick
Hot Glue Gun

I looked high and low for small white gum balls. I kept finding bags with multiple colors which then I would have to waste other colors. So I went with mini marshmallows that were cheaper. I took the tubes and placed mini marshmallows standing up to look like the dots in the tube. For the strips I took my paper cutter to cut the black strips that were the size of the tube. I took my hole punch to white card stock to make the dots the PacMan eat. I used my cricut to make small circles. I took my scissors to cut out the mouth, and took a sharpie to make the eye. I took a glue stick to place the white dots on the black strip. I then took the glue stick to glue on the PacMan. Once dry I took the glue gun to attach to the tube.

PacMan Themed Birthday Day ... Apple Cookies

More on our PacMan party themed birthday party. I've shown the PacMan cookies and the Ghost Cookies today it's the Apple Cookies. What you Need:

Apple Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Red and Green
Pipping Bags

I had an apple cutter on hand from a Descendants party I did a while back for a friend. This has the bite taken out of it, which I made like PacMan took a bite out of them ... lol. I piped on the red for the apple and green for the leaf. Simple, easy design that was perfect for the theme.

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups butter, softened

2 cups white sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

5 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS:

1.	In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).
2.	Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
3.	Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.

Royal Icing what you need:

2 lbs Powdered Sugar

1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar

5 Large Egg Whites (or equivalent)

Flavor to Taste

Gel Icing Color

Mix powder sugar and cream of tartar in your mixer, just to make sure it is incorporated in. Slowly add egg whites, then whip start of slow then go to very high speed. She says around 2 minutes, my friend had an older mixer so it took almost 10 minutes. You want stiff peaks that hold on and won't fall off the spoon. Add in your flavor, I would suggest you use a clear flavoring. This would be the glue texture great for ginger bread houses etc.

PacMan Themed Birthday Day ... Ghost Cookies

More on our PacMan party themed birthday party. Yesterday I showed the PacMan cookies, today it's the ghost. I picked out a few colors and made these that turned out perfect for the party!

What you Need:

Oval Cookie Cutter (I cut the end off to make the ghost shape)
Royal Icing - Red, Blue, Green and white/uncolored (see recipe below)

I took an oval cookie cutter and the took a knife to cut off the bottom. I then took a piping bag of (blue, green and red) to make the ghost shape. Once dried I made two normal ghost and one dead one. I took a piping bag of white to make the face, for the alive ghost I took the blue an added to the eyes. Pretty simple cookies to make and perfect for the themed party!

PacMan Birthday Party ... PacMan Cookies (2 options)

I'm back, sorry for the delay on my post lately. Summer makes it so hard for me to sit and write a post before bed time. I try to write one and so it's ready to go for the next day, but me time right now has been hard to come by.

As you have seen theme going on is PacMan for my son's 10th birthday. Today I show the simple cookies made. These were a lot of fun to make, my son even got into the decorating process.

What you Need:

Round Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Yellow and white/uncolored (see recipe below)

Bake the circle size you would like, I used a medium size circle cookie cutter. One the cookies were ready for decorating I took some yellow food gel coloring (I use AmeriColor). Using a piping bag you pipe the PacMan shape. I then took a piping bag of white to make the circle the PacMan eats. Caden got his design on and took my black edible pen to make the eyeball. Simple but fun!

PacMan Party .. Inside the Goody Bag (Ghost Me spray)

Yesterday I showed you the outside of the goody bags, today is what is inside. I saw on Pinterest Ghost Me using hair spray .. I searched but that stuff is spendy. So Plan B came into play, Dollar Tree has Silly Spray so I changed it up.

Supplies:

Silly String Spray (Dollar Tree $1 Each / I did 20 bags $20)

Labels (Dollar Tree 1 Package for $1 / I've been using this pkg for a lot of projects)

I downloaded PacMan Font from DaFont, this is my go to place for font's. I found circle labels at Dollar Tree. NOW they are Polaroid which doesn't have easy templates like Avery. So I found the Avery compatible one and played around until my words and Ghost fit in the circle.

For the different color ghost I did a Google search for PacMan Ghost .PNG (.PNG are images with out a back ground so they are easy to copy and paste into documents). Once I got the labels set up correctly, I printed out. I then stuck a label on the silly string bottle. Each Goody Bag got one spray.

VERY simple and the kids LOVE Silly Spray.

PacMan Birthday Party .. Goody Bags (PacMan & Ghost)

Early I showed you the invites for my son's PacMan themed party. Today is the goody bags made. Now you've heard me several times say I hate goody bags, the party is usually crazy expensive and then you're expected to give guest a party gift. This is usually when we go to the dollar store toys and ton's of candy. So my thought is if I'm sending you home with hopefully something you will keep or eat right away so it's not thrown out.

I wasn't sure on who all was attending so I didn't put names on bags. Caden's bag I did add on wording. The other bags just had PacMan eating the power pills.

I did 2 didn't bag types, a PacMan and a Ghost theme.

Supplies:

Black Bag (Hobby Lobby 12pk $3.99)
Yellow Card Stock
Blue Card Stock
Purple Card Stock
Orange Card Stock
Black Card Stock
White Card Stock

Cricut - I used George Cartridge to cut circles, ovals

Googley Eyes
Glue Stick

Ghost Goody Bags:

For the Ghost bags I took oval cut outs (5.5 inches) in purple, orange and Blue. I then took my scissors to make the bottom of the ghost. Instead of cutting out eyes, I used googley eyes because I think they are fun! I cut out small circles using the cricut (1 inch). I used glue sticks we had left over from school and glued it all onto the bag. This really didn't take very long. The longest part is cutting them from the cricut.

PacMan Goody Bag:

For the PacMan bags I took the circle cut outs (3.5 inches) and took my scissors to make the mouth of PacMan. I cut out black circles for the eyes (1 Inch). I cut out small white circles using the cricut (1 inch) for the dots. Again I used the glue sticks we had left over from school and glued it all onto the bag. This really didn't take very long. The longest part is cutting them from the cricut.

PacMan Birthday Party ... Pacman and Ghost Invite

I showed you the plan invites I did for the classroom, here are the invites I made for my parents and me that I keep in the boys memory books. These took a bit to make but they turned out very cool!

I downloaded PacMan Font from DaFont, this is my go to place for font's. I did a practice run using my cricut to see where the circles and the ghost would be when I cut them out. This then showed me where to put my font so when cut the words didn't get cut off.

Supplies:

Yellow Card Stock
Blue Card Stock
Black Card Stock
White Card Stock

Word - to type up the wording

Cricut - I used George Cartridge to cut 3.5" circles, ovals

Googley Eyes
Glue Stick

Type up in word the invitation wording you want. Using your cricut to cut out a circles. I used a 3 inch for the yellow and 3.5inch for the black and a 1 inch for the eye. For the black strip I just used my cutting board to cut those out. For the Ghost I had to create my own design. I used a 5 inch Oval in blue and a 5.5 inch Oval in black. For the small circles I used a 2 and a 2.5 inch circles.

Take a pair of scissors to cut out the PacMan mouth and the Ghost bottom part. I used a glue stick to put this together. remember to put the strip in between the PacMan circles and the Ghost BEFORE you glue the backs on (the black). I forgot to do this and each time had to peel it back and stick it in which is hard once glued. I added a black dot for the PacMan eye and a googley eyes for the ghost. You can always cut out white and black circles but I loved this look better. Make sure so it can bend so the PacMan looks like it is eating the ghost. Play with the dots in the center before gluing down to make sure it closes right.

Very time consuming, but a very cool invite.

PacMan Birthday Invites

My son is turning 10 in July and we always do his party early so it's close to the end of school year so his school friends can come. I usually do fancy invites for friends and family and simple ones for the school since I usually need almost 30 of them. These PacMan invites are so simple.

Memorial Day Cookies ... Lady Bugs (using a heart shape)

We had our annual Memorial Day party at the lake. I love that each year we have some familiar faces and some new. This year I wanted to make some fun cookies, I went with the patriotic color themed. Yesterday I showed the Flag Star Cookies. Today are the patriotic lady bugs. I love taking a shape and turning it into something totally different. These were simple but so fun!

What you Need:

Heart Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Red, Blue, Black and white/uncolored (see recipe below)

Pipping Bags

I started with a basic heart shape and turned it into lady bugs. I started with making the head with a black triangle. I then added the red or blue (depending on what color I wanted). Before the Red dried I took a piping bag of white and made the dots for the back of the ladybug. I then made the eyes and the antenna's. For the eyes I made a small white dot and added a smaller black dot in the middle. The antenna's was a fancy looking V. Let them dry and you have some cute cookies!

I piped each cookie with the outline of the B. When the outline dried I flooded the center of the letter and made sure it was filled in. After the white dried I then added a little detail to match what I did on the dove. Simple but perfect for a young man.

First Communion Cookies ... Dove Royal Icing

What you Need:
Dove Cookie Cutter

Elephant Cookies for Charity (Birthday Dreams) ... Royal Icing Cookies

Another fun cupcake delivery for my favorite charity that brings birthday's to homeless kids in shelters around Washington State. If you ever have extra party supplies or toys please think of Birthday Dreams, we can all make a child's special day be just that special!

I've made Elephant Cookies for a baby shower before. This time I got to make fun ones for a special one year old!

What you Need:
Elephant Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Grey and Pink (see recipe below)
Black Edible Pen
Decorating pearls
Pipping Bag (w/ grey and pink royal icing)

I first outlined the elephant and let that dry to create a barrier. I then filled in with grey and smoothed out to fill in the elephants, BEFORE that dried I added the toes. I used small pearls on the feet to be the toes. I waited for them to dry to add the other details. I took a bag of pink to make the ears. When those finished I started on the last details. I added a tail, mouth, Eyes and details for the trunk. Since these were part of a cake delivery, I used as the toppers on cupcakes.

18th Birthday Candy Bouquet

A break from the cookies ... LOL! I just love giving a gift that you put effort into, I'm always on the hunt for something new or fun. I haven't done a 18th birthday in sometime, so I was excited when one of my favorite dance team members daughters had an upcoming birthday. I did a Google search and found a fun candy bouquet and added some fun things to it! Turning 18 comes with a few perks like gambling lol, why not start our youth off with some scratch tickets. And of course Starbucks gift cards ... LOL!

What you Need:
Plant Bucket ($1 Dollar Tree)

Dum Dums (5 Bags / $1 Dollar Tree)

Foam circles (2 - Dollar Tree)

Butterfingers Mini

Butterfly / Flower Cutouts (I found at Dollar Tree or you can cut on your Cricut)

Pipe Cleaner (Cut in half to make the Butterfly antennas)

Happy Birthday Sign (Dollar Tree)

18 numbers (found magnets at Dollar Tree that I glued on to sign)

Scratch Tickets

Starbucks Cards

Sticks (I used lollipop sticks Wilton)

Hot Glue Gun

I started with placing the dum dums to make a bouquet. I stacked two foam rings to get the height I needed and arranged the dum dums to make the rounded look. I started with 3 bags thinking that would be enough and found that it didn't cover. I had to run back to the store and buy 2 more bags to fill. I took the paper butterflies hot glued a butterfingers in the middle to be the body. Then cut a pipe cleaner in half to make the antenna's and hot glued them on. I took a long lollipop stick and hot glued it on the back and stuck it into the bouquet. I found a happy birthday sign that I hot glued the number 18 on to it. I took the scratch tickets I bought an hot glued a small lollipop stick onto the back and stuck them into the bouquet also. I also picked up 2 Starbucks GC and did the same adding a small lollipop stick and stuck them in.

StageCoach Royal Icing Cookies

My husband goes to CA every year to work security at Coachella and Stagecoach. Yesterday I told you about him being in charge of all deployments and running 2nd man in charge for event security. He's crew of 1,400 people ... yup free order so he only received 35 to pass out to the top people LOL. Here was the Coachella Hot Air Balloon's and today is the Stagecoach Boots.

What you Need:
Cowboy Boot Cookie Cutter
Royal Icing - Brown, Black and white (uncolored) (see recipe below)
AmeriColor Black and Brown Food Gel
Pipping Bags
Black Edible Pen

I piped each cookie first with the toe, heal and the detail of the side of the boot. I waited for that to dry and added the brown of the boot on after. I also added a little start of the top of the boot. When completely dry I took a food marker and wrote Stage Coach. I individually wrapped them and sent them to CA to my husband. I have found that Alaska and California take 3 days instead of the 2 days that USPS priority mail usually takes. But with good bubble wrap and packing peanuts they got there with out any breaking!

Hot Air Balloon Cookies for Coachella

My husband goes to CA every year to work security at Coachella and Stagecoach. This year he was put in charge of all deployments and running 2nd man in charge for event security. What you Need:
Airballoon Cookie Cutter (I bought on Amazon)
Royal Icing - Red, Orange, Yellow and Brown (see recipe below)
AmeriColor Red, Orange, Yellow and Brown Food Gel
Pipping Bags
Black Edible Pen

I piped each cookie first with the basket part of the balloon. I then got to work on the top of the balloons. I tried 2 different balloon designs to figure out what I liked best. I found the color scheme of the Coachella logo and did my best. When the balloon colors finished drying I took a black food pen to write Coachella on each one. I individually wrapped them and sent them to CA to my husband. I have found that Alaska and California take 3 days instead of the 2 days that USPS priority mail usually takes. Dragonfly Royal Icing Cookies Made

Yesterday I showed you the Butterflies I shipped to my amazing Blogger friend, today is the Dragonflies. She lives in Alaska and they shipped there with no casualties. These dragonflies were the ones I was really worried about with the thin tails but thankfully with bubble wrap they arrived safe!

Paintball Themed Party ... Goody Bag Insides (Paintball Ammo themed candy etc)

Yesterday I showed the goody bags (aka bags of teen approved things like candy and silly string). I of course had to have some themed things in the bag. I went on a Pinterest search and found several ideas for the candy. I then did google search for Ammo .png items (photos on a blank background easy to use with words etc). I had circle stickers I found at the Dollar Tree that I printed out and stuck on circles cut out on my cricut.

I googled Ammo, Paintballand skulls .png images and found several different ones I used on the candy. I added the words Ammo under the ones that did not say it.

Ammo Candy Dots - Placed in large clear bag, added a tag with Ammo and tied with twine.

Ammo Gumball tubes - Placed in clear tube, added a tag with Ammo and tied with twine.

Ammo Jumbo gumballs - Placed in small clear bag the extra gumballs leftover, added a tag with Ammo and tied with twine.

Ammo Jumbo Jawbreaker - Placed in small clear bag, added a tag with Ammo and tied with twine.

Ammo Mini Marshmallows - Placed in small clear bag, added a tag with Ammo and stapled shut.

Ammo Silly String - Placed a tag with Ammo on the bottle.

Air Soft - Printed Soft on paper and glued it onto Air Head candy, covering up Head with Soft.

Paintball Themed Party ... Paintball Goody Bags (Treat Bags)

Since these are all teens and I know my themed parties don't go over super well with them. I scaled back what I normally do. I did still do gift bags that I made for each kid. Filled with candy so that is a hit with any kid at any again.

What you Need:

White Gift Bag (Dollar Tree 2pk for $1)
Target (I googled png and printed on white paper) Click link to see the one I used
Glue (I used hot glue gun / You can use whatever is handy)
Colored Paint (Puff paint would be best / I only found colored hot glue)

Using your printer print out a Target and cut them down to place on the bags. I used a little hot glue to attach to the bags (you can use whatever girl you have on hand). I really wanted to use puff paint but I couldn't find so I used this glitter hot glue I found at Dollar Tree. I'm all about what you can find on a affordable side! Make fun splats on the bag on target and on the side. Have fun and do as many colors you want.
