Look! Parrots!

I had the most wonderful surprise in one of my walks when I saw these two pairs of parrots hangin' out from each side of the trail. They were exchanging calls so loud you'd think they owned the place.

Oh, okay. I guess, they do. lol

I'm still amazed, and elated, that these beautiful birds remain free in the wild. Where I come from, they would've been caught and caged as soon as they're spotted. It's such a joy to see them as they should be: wild and free.

Taken at John & Mable Ringling Museum during its Paths to Paradise Exhibition late last year. Photography wasn't allowed, but I didn't know that. (Photography is allowed in almost all of the museum galleries.) I managed to take a few pictures before one of the museum hosts told me about the restriction. I got lucky!

A osprey keeps its balance in check against the wind. It was getting ready to feast on its new catch when I found it on its perch close to the beach trail.

Osprey
This large bird of prey is dark brown above with a white belly and head. In flight, the crook in its wings helps identify it. The large stick nests are usually built in dead trees, but are also found on telephone ples, channel markers and artifical nesting platforms. The osprey catches fish by diving in feet first.

I can find God in nature,
in animals, in birds and the environment.
