Musa is a Bangladeshi people who have conquered the world’s largest Mount Everest for the first time amongst the Bangladeshi people. This is the first time the Red-Green Flag are flying on the top of the world.
Musa Ibrahim is a boy of Mugholhut, Lalmonirhat district of Bangladesh. Musa born in 1979. His father’s name is Ansar Ali. Mother’s name is Bilkis Begum. He passed his SSC and HSC from Thakurgoan and then got himself admitted in Dhaka University. Now, He is a sub-editor of a Bangladeshi English daily “The Daily Star”. His wife’s name is Umme Soraban Tahura (Asst. District Judge of Mymensing) and he has a one half years old child named Wasi Ibrahim.
Musa Ibrahim started his trailing life from the 2002. He got trained from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and got certified from two professional mountaineering courses.
Musa Ibrahim is the first people who conquered the Annapurna 4 Trail as a Bangladeshi people. He is a founder and general secretary of Noth Alpine Club.
He started the Everest trailing since the last 20 April’ 2010. In order to ease the Himalay journey he took help of “Himalayan Guides Nepal”. The managing director of Himalayan Guides Nepal named Iswari Pudel said that – “there was a team of 26 members who have been able to reach to the top of the Himalaya and musa ibrahim is one of them. The other members are – 9 Nepali Sherpa, 6 British, 1 American & 3 Montenegrin”.
It is the date of conquering the Himalaya is 23 May’ 2010 and the time is 6 AM.

Twitter is in great problem, and it may not be the standard technical hiccup that the site experiences once in a while.

The ppl When trying to connect to the site, get an error message from browser it has received several tips stating that around 10 p.m. Pacific Time, the site was hacked and defaced with a message from a group identifying itself as the “Iranian Cyber Army.” The group may be using a DNS redirect to accomplish this.

Some covering the story say it is likely that Twitter has been so compromised, that account passwords might have been hacked as well. Tec Crunch has included an advisory that Twitter users should change their other passwords if they use the same one for multiple services.

When you own one or more shares of stock, you are called a shareholder, and as such, you are entitled to a representative portion of the company's profits, which are sometimes paid out as dividends.

Stocks trading types:

There are basically two main types of stock: common and preferred. Common stock represents the majority of stock. It represents ownership in a company and a claim on a portion of profits, or dividends. The dividend amount fluctuates and is not guaranteed. Shareholders are entitled to one vote per share to elect board members, who oversee the major decisions made by the company's management. In the long run, common stock yields higher returns than most other investments.
Preferred stock represents a degree of ownership in a company but usually doesn't include voting rights. With this type of stock, shareholders are usually guaranteed a fixed dividend amount.

Purchasing Stock:

Once you've decided to invest in the stock market, you must decide how you'll buy stocks. There are two main ways to do this. The first is through a full-service broker. Full-service brokers offer you financial planning and advice on selecting investments, and are usually the most expensive way to purchase shares of stock. However, if you don't have the time or know-how to select and manage your investments, it can be a very beneficial arrangement.

The second way to purchase stocks is through a discount broker. These brokers work with investors who are willing and able to research and make their own investment decisions. Discount brokers do not offer financial advice and charge low trading commissions.

Stock Trading:

Most stocks are traded on exchanges. An exchange is a place where buyers and sellers meet and decide on a price. Most exchanges are physical locations, such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), while others are virtual or over-the-counter (OTC). Virtual exchanges consist of a network of computers where trades are made electronically. The NASDAQ is the most popular example of a virtual exchange.

Causes Stock Prices Change:

The price of a stock is generally determined by supply and demand. For instance, if there are more people who want to buy a stock than people who want to sell it, the price will rise. This is because shares of that stock are rarer, and people are willing to pay a higher price for them. The opposite is also true. If there are a lot of shares of stock for sale but no one wants to buy them, the price will quickly drop. Because of these factors, the stock market can appear to have great fluctuations.
Understanding supply and demand is easy. What is difficult to comprehend is what makes people like a particular stock and dislike another stock. Basically, the price movement of a stock indicates what investors feel a company is worth – but don't equate a company's value with the stock price, as that is not always an accurate indicator.

The Bulls and Bears:

Bull market is when the economy is in good shape, the unemployment rate is low, and stock prices are rising. It's easy to pick stocks during a bull market because everything is going up. Beware that bull markets can't last forever, and sometimes lead to disaster if stocks become overvalued.
A bear market occurs when the economy is in bad shape, recession is impending and stock prices take a dive. It is very difficult to pick high-performing stocks during such a time. However, some investors prefer to purchase stock in a bear market, while the prices are low, and stick with them until the prices go back up.

***JP-Morgan hires Jesper Koll as Japan research head

Nov 18 – JPMorgan said on Wednesday that it has hired Jesper Koll, a former Merrill Lynch economist, to head its Japanese equity research division.

Koll will take up the post at JPMorgan Securities Japan Co on Dec. 1, the company said in a statement.

Koll was previously chief executive officer at Tantallon Research Japan, a Tokyo-based investment advisory firm that he set up in 2007.

**APEC members express concern on unstable currencies

Nov 15- Some members of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation grouping, which includes the United States and China, expressed concerns over unstable currency movements at a summit, host Singapore said on Sunday.

"Currencies were part of the discussions amongst the leaders and some of the leaders expressed their concerns over the possibility of currency movements which would become unstable, and also the potential problems which could arise if governments had to intervene continually in order to manange their currencies," said Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsieng Loong at a post-summit press conference.

"But we did not reach a, we did not have an in-depth discussion."

Chinese President Hu Jintao has been under pressure to let the yuan currency appreciate, but in a speech at an APEC business summit on Friday he ignored the issue and focused on trade and investment protectionism.

The final APEC leaders declaration cut an earlier draft reference to "market-oriented exchange rates". An APEC delegation official said Washington and Beijing could not agree on the wording.

*BP Q3 results: Again exceeding forecasts
29 October 2009 | The group’s recent third quarter results (27 October 09) saw BP comfortably exceeding analysts’ forecasts. While the global economic downturn continued to impact, an improved operational performance combined with additional cost savings helped to cushion the fall. Third quarter profits on an underlying replacement cost basis (strips out gains or losses in inventories held) declined to $4.98 billion, down 50.2pc over Q3 2008. Excluding exceptional items, profit fell to $4.67 billion, ahead of the consensus estimate at $3.25 billion. The fall in both oil and natural gas prices continued to sit at the heart of the downturn. In addition, profit margins at the group’s refining business remained under some pressure. However, despite the fall in profitability against last year, signs of improving operational performance continued to show through. Reported production for the quarter was 3.917 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (mboe/d), more than 7pc higher than for Q3 2008 - +4pc when adjusted for hurricanes during 2008.

*Reckitt Benckiser Q3 results: Another polished performance
29 October 2009 | The group's recent third quarter results (27 October 09) saw the company retaining its reputation for reliability. Again, the company generated profits ahead of analysts' expectations – Q3 net profit rose to £357m (£285m – Q3 2008) against a consensus forecast of around £341m – but management was confident enough to raise its full year target for revenue growth to 6pc to 7pc against a previous target of 5pc to 6pc. Profit estimates were also raised to between 12pc and 13pc from 10pc to 11pc. Emerging markets again proved a growth driver, with strong free cash flow helping the company to reduce net debt (£423m against £1.1 billion as of 31Dec08).

*BG Group Q3 results: International growth spurs a move towards the US dollar
29 October 2009 | The group’s recent third quarter results (28 October 2009) saw the company exceeding analysts’ forecasts. Thanks largely to lower natural gas and oil prices, third quarter net profit declined by 43.5pc to ?484m, against ?857m in Q3 2008. However, as has been the case for some time, resilient performances from the group’s Transmission & Distribution division and from its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) business helped to cushion the downturn. On the production front, output materialised at 615,000 barrels a day, a rise of 4.8pc on the year, although below many analyst expectations of nearer 8pc, thanks mainly to a delay in the start-up of the Hasdrubal facility in

Tunisia

. As for the outlook, production targets over the fourth quarter are expected to come in around 700,000 barrels of oil equivalent, a 12pc increase on last year. Finally, given the group’s continuing international growth, like its major rivals, BG is moving during 2010 to report its results in US dollars.

27 October 2009 | The group’s recent third quarter update (20 October 2009) saw the group revising upwards earnings estimates for the full year. Group sales over the nine month period increased by 20pc, with operating profit rising by 19pc. However, the figures were flattered by currency movements, with sales on a currency adjusted basis gaining by 2pc and operating profit increasing by 3pc. Against a difficult backdrop of US state budgetary pressures, the group’s important Education division continued to prosper, gaining market share as the company’s digital learning courses continued to enjoy good demand. As an example, more than 2.5m students had enrolled in an online course provided by eCollege over the 9 month period, an increase of almost 30pc over last year. As for the remaining two divisions, both continued to trade in line with management expectations, with the FT newspaper division limiting a sales decline to 3pc on a currency adjusted basis and Penguin witnessing a similar 4pc sales decline on a similar basis.

27 October 2009 | A recent third quarter trading update (20 October 2009) revealed figures broadly in line with analyst expectations, with management confident regarding its performance for the current full year. Pre-tax profits for the nine month period materialised at $48.64m compared with $47.86m a year earlier. Revenues for the third quarter of 2009 totalled $191.6m, up 51pc from $127.1m for the third quarter of 2008 and included strong organic growth. Revenue on a geographical basis was broken down as follows: American revenue of $135.7m representing 71pc, with the rest of the world generating $55.9m (29pc).

The RBI maintained a status quo with respect to all policy rates in its 2QFY2010 monetary policy. More important, in our view, was the marked change in the tone of the policy. The policy did sound more hawkish, emphasizing concerns about inflation and describing the measures implemented as the first phase of an 'exit' from the extraordinary monetary accommodation of the past year. But this needs to be viewed in the context of the evolving dynamics of growth, inflation and liquidity.

28 October 2009 | Traditionally, Id and Diwali festivals augur a positive period for the auto industry in India, as buyer sentiments tend to go up amid the pomp and joy of the season. Fiscal year 2009 was a dismal exception, as automakers struggled between October and December 2008. This is all the more reason to look at the current monthly and quarterly growth rates with a pinch of salt. The Q3 results for FY10 are likely to look spectacular, though they are marked improvements from the January-April 2009. Take Ford Motor, for instance. This September, Ford India announced an impressive 50% year-on-year (y-o-y) sales growth in Sept ’09. It sold 3,405 units as against 2,273 units in Sept ’08. Without taking anything away from the American car maker, the growth in September over the same month in 2008 is not as staggering as the 50% y-o-y rate suggests. Ford continues to have a less than 2% market share in the Indian car market. But what is truly more heartening for Ford is that its recovery and ascent in India is now well and truly on. This is visible in its 38% month-on-month increase over Aug ’09. On a quarterly basis, it clocked a 24% rise over the same period in 2008. Now the real battle begins as it has launched its small-car called Ford Figo that will be up against top dogs Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.

*Indian 2QFY2010 Monetary Policy Preview
27 October 2009 | In our opinion, the RBI is likely to maintain status quo with respect to policy rates in the upcoming policy, reiterating that its priority remains growth rather than inflation at this juncture. An important thing to watch out for will be RBI's take on the potential acceleration of forex inflows going forward, and the resultant problems of high liquidity, the appreciating rupee as well as rising asset prices and demand-side pressures that the country may have to face all over again. Such inflows may necessitate CRR hikes in subsequent policies though, over the next 4-6 quarters at least, such hikes will, in our view, only manage to sterilize the excess forex-driven liquidity in the system, rather than stifling growth by choking off M3. Overall, for the upcoming policy, we expect the RBI to maintain an accommodative stance, as the key priority for the economy remains keeping interest rates low until a broad-based revival in domestic demand is firmly rooted.

27 October 2009 | The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) increased statutory liquidity ratio by 100 basis point from 24% to 25 %, effective from November 8, 2009. SCBs (scheduled commercial banks) are currently maintaining SLR investments at 27.6% of their Net Demand Time Liability (NDTL); as such the increase in SLR will not impact the liquidity position of the banking system and credit to private sector. Meanwhile CRR, repo and reverse repo rates have been left unchanged.
