It's been a while!

I haven't used this blog in about 3 years and I miss it! I have recently become unemployed and am going to start school within the next month and so many things are happening to me that I feel like I should document it somehow. I already take pictures constantly and I love to write so this is just another expression of myself. Time to update the blog on my current life. I am unemployed right now, for the first time in seven years actually, and I start school for my associates in science for veterinary technology in less than a month. It's been about 5 years since I left school and I am so nervous that I'm not smart enough for this but I guess I should just believe in myself at this point. Everyone else does. Babycakes has been so supportive of everything going on and just wants me to be happy and feel like I am a whole person. I don't think I could survive one day without him. We're celebrating our 7th anniversary this year and currently starting the plans for our wedding! It's going to be on our 8th anniversary with a steampunk theme. So Much Excitement!! Quite a bit of time is going into planning our wedding and it will a small intimate affair with only our closest circle of friends. I'll keep this updated with what's going on in the wedding world for me. haha

One of the biggest things going on in my life right now is that I have no idea what to do with myself when I have free time. I've been so focused on working that I haven't had time for anything else in my life. So now I'm trying to figure it out a step at a time and the first thing on my list is figuring out what my hobbies are. Music and crafting are winning right now. My friends suggest I should revisit my MUA days because of my skill. I gave away a lot of my makeup/skin care products to random people though, nowadays I usually do a simple cat eye with lip balm. I think I may buy some supplies after some research and coupon clipping. I'm going through some ignored unloved boxes at my house and see what I used to be into that intrigues me now. I'm leaving myself open to the universe to see what happens.

My mission today is to do a spring clean on our apartment and do some studying. Wish me luck.

Day Three: Views On Drugs And Alcohol

You've heard it for as long as you can remember, "Drugs and Alcohol are BAD and will ruin your life!"
I think that most of us just didn't care because it's such a normal things to do (well where i am from it is) and almost everyone you know drinks alcohol or does drugs. Its become normalized in today's society.

Is it bad to do them? Yes and No.

Yes because some people don't know how to moderate things in their lives and let the drugs and alcohol take over everything and sometimes make them into vicious but mostly dumb people. This is the average outcome for most people in my experience.

No because alcohol is legal and when you drink smart and in moderation, its fine. No more harmful than a soda with your meal.

As far as drugs go, I've yet to meet someone who is on drugs and not let it take over their life. Whether it be weed, meth, pills, coke, or whatever they may be on, It slowly just consumes people and that's no way to live.

I'm not going to sit here on a high horse and say I've never done anything because that would be a ridiculous lie. I don't do anything anymore because, to be honest, it got old. It's expensive and it's not always like it's portrayed on television and movies to be. It's a lifestyle I know I would definitely never go back to.

Day Two: Where You'd Like To Be In Ten Years

I honestly don't know where I'd like to be tomorrow, no less ten years from now. hmm, I'm just going to vomit whatever comes to mind because I'm too indecisive to put too much thought into it ;P

In ten years, i'll be 30 years old. thats a long time for a lot of crazy things to happen. I'll be married to Mr. Robert Fitchett and we'll have 2 beautiful children in our townhome located somewhere up north, near a big city of course. We'll still have Skarlette, our chowchow puppy, and new additons like a turtle and 2 sun conures.By then, i'll have finished schooling to be an LPN and should be done with my business bachelors degree. The bakery of my dreams should be up and running around this time and i'll have my Jeep Wrangler. This is what I imagine in my head as the ideal outcome in 10 years.

The most important thing to me is that in ten years, I want to be happy.

Day One: Your Current Relationship

I am currently in a relationship with a Mr. Robert Anthony Fitchett, est. September 15, 2007

Robert is more than just my lovable boyfriend, he's pretty much my sanity. It's funny how in the beginning, he was just this punk ass gangster boy in my homeroom who liked to go through my stuff every day and now he's the love of my life. We didnt start going out at school though. It just so happens that in 2007 I turned 16 years old and that means it was time to get my happy ass a job somewhere. A girl in my science class told me about her last job at a crappy bbq joint near my house so after school I went to go fill out an application at the oh so wonderful, Sonny's Real Pit BBQ. It was an instant success. I got the job on the spot and by the following Tuesday, I was a smiling cashier (: It was soo funny on my first day, they stuck me in the dish room so i knew what the back of the house guys did. My manager pulls the guy out and its Robert with a very confused smile. I worked my first shift ever with him all night and it was fun (and gross) as hell. After a while, the girls at work seemed to think that Robert and I should start going out so this is when the pestering started. I was HARASSED for the longest time to give him my number and to go out with this boy. I caved. I gave them my number and was told to expect a text after work. That night I went home and waited and waited and waited til I passed out. NOTHING. I woke up feeling like such an idiot and dreaded having to see his face again. The giggling smiles at work were met with my low annoyed eyes. I tell them the texts never came and away they ran, back into the kitchen with a fury that would make Satan hide. I laughed and went about my work day as usual until one of the girls pops up with a small piece of cardboard box. It has HIS number. Isn't that some crap? I'm the female therefore I should be wooed. I take it anyways. When I get home that evening, I consider not texting since I got no text the day before ... but something makes me do it anyways. "Message Sent" it says. The beginning of a crazy change. Thousands of texts, emails, calls, voicemails, letters, notes, dinners, movies, and random adventures later ... here I am. Still with my babycakes and loving every second. This guy knows how to make me smile and laugh like no other can, he knows just what to say in every situation. We're complete opposites in many ways and we're oddly the same in many others. He completes me. Even though sometimes I want nothing more than to jab something sharp through his juggular but thats natural for any couple. He's the sweetest thing I've ever met. Once he wraps his arms around me, its like i'm lost to the abyss of just pure happiness. Not to sound mushy or anything. :P

The Turtle

My boyfriend and I went to a local pet store called Creature Castle and looked around at the assortment of animals they keep in store. (note- this isnt the best pet store around) He fell in love with the sun conure they had there and I found myself watching the cute little turtles in their tank. I've always thought turtles were cute and interesting, even though they require a bit of smelly matinence. I started researching what kind of turtle i might want until my friend suggested a painted turtle. they are so freaking cute and a good first turtle for a beginner, like myself.

They can grow between 4-10 in and live for an average of 30 years (:

The only problem (kinda) is that the habitat is rather expensive, like jeeeeeeeeezus. I looked up estimates of about $700-$1000. I really want one but im not sure my pocket can handle that right now. Things have been a little rough lately and I may have to delay it for awhile but it just gives me time to collect the things needed slowly (: First on my list is to find a nice tank to keep the cutiepie in. :D

I FAIL AT FEEDING MYSELF

no lie, i cannot cook a meal to save my life!

Now, I can bake for an army but on top of the stove is a whole different story. I am slowly learning new ways to feed myself WITHOUT a microwave. This is very very hard for me. I didnt realize how much I used the stupid thing til I quit! It's been okay since food does taste better coming out of the oven but I came home from work and i was craving some ramen noodles. We only had the cup o ramen so for the first time in my life, I boiled water. lol I read an article a few days ago on stumbleupon about the many things that ramen can become with a little effort. Ramen Noodles 2.0 in my opinion. It inspired me to make boiled eggs to add to my ramen so I managed to boil the eggs (i wasnt sure how long they take so i did it for 8 mins) and then i boiled more water to add to my crispy noodles. It came out freakin awesome! i was soo proud of me. Its a small accomplishment but it was progress. :D yay progress !!!

My friend started this event on FB that for 1 week you improve on yourself and try 100% on everything you do so this is me kind of improving on myself. I am 20 years old and these are skills I need to learn to survive out in the world lol Especially for when my bf and rents aren't around. So I'm going to put extra effort into my life for a week and see where that gets me.

Time To Get It Together

I am twenty years old and I didn't graduate high school. To this day I still dont have any sort of diploma or g.e.d. so i decided to finally get off my arse and try to get it. This was a little harder than I had predicted. The first thing I had an issue with was trying to find someplace to actually take the test. Whenever I called schools to find out more information, they always tell me that noone is in to help me... EVER. Even with me calling at different times so I finally just say fooey. I started looking at technical schools to take the test and found one about a 30 min drive from where I live so now I have a place to take it. My advice for others in the same predicament, just keep looking for the testing site. I started just by typing in google, G.E.D. in Florida (where i am located) and started from there. I will say that Florida's websites for G.E.D. are not the best at all. It was frusrating to find sites that DIDN'T look like scams. I have learned in my seaching that you CANNOT take the test online so ALL those sites are scams.

I first had tried "the stepping stones school" online and gave them my debit card number and they sent me my first packet. how they work is you fill out 6 packets at home and take the test and send it back and they send you a diploma (each packet is about $45). I am grateful I only sent for one at a time because when I sent it back, thats the last I ever heard from them. I emailed them with no luck and it was just frustrating to lose $45 that way but you learn from your mistakes.

Your Brain Memory Archives Are At 0%

I never realized how much of what I learned I would forget but lordy, if you dont use it, you will lose it. I have been taking practice tests online at 4tests.com and its kinda of making me think in a way I haven't for awhile so I've decided to kick it up a notch and am using a G.E.D. study guide book at home so I can get enough practice. Since they charge to take the test, It gives me a little more push to do really well so I dont lose money in this. (well anymore money)

Bigger And Better Things?

my current goal is to take the test one month from now and then enroll into college and start working on getting a degree in something though im not entirely sure what yet. I have a few ideas but im hoping everything works out okay (:

Something Beautiful?

Soo about a month-ish [2.25.11] ago i started the experiment (:

I've been wanting to do something interesting and when I saw these cute little pots at Target, i was inspired to try and start my own flower garden. I will be honest, I know NOTHING about gardens and the things that go with it so everything was just trial and error. The first error I made was putting too many seeds in the tiny pots (I thought that since i paid $1.00 US for each of them, that the seeds were probably duds) and when they started growing, they ALL started growing. I needed new pots and I needed them fast. Within 2 weeks of planting my seeds they already needed to be repotted into a larger home. I decided against planting them into the ground because of the wild things that wander into our yard at time and our soul just kills things instead of bringing life. I had a few pots already so it was a cinch ;)

New Homes !! [3.5.11]

Trying to pick out a soil for them wasn't too hard, i picked Miracle Gro and bought some plant food (same brand). Really simple and probably not the best but since I'm just a beginner I'll take it slow. I read up on how some people make the mixes themselves to cater to the individual needs of the plants and quite frankly, i dont know how they know where to begin. Sooo Many Ingredients!! :O I was considering it but it was just tooo confusing. The pre-mix bag I bought has been doing pretty well with them, they rooted into their new pots wonderfully and I cant wait til they start looking more like flowers though. I didnt create the plants but I tended to them and am growing something beautiful. The world, well my world will be a prettier place thanks to my hard work and effort. Thats the feeling I was looking for, the warm smiley feeling of smelling the elegant beauty of a flower and the feeling of accomplishment.

This week has been awesome and such bullshit! I cant remember the last time i've felt like this ... It started off good though and it had its great moments but the badtimes this week just spread through the week like the plague. Monday was just your everyday errand and recoup day for me so nothing exciting except i made a blog ;) tehehe

Tuesday, I honestly slept through most of it but i woke up with enough time to chill with Reina and work on Robert's christmas gifts ;) a short but productive dayy ... i will not mention the hothothotness that is work in my blog lol

I did have some parental time this week too, my lil old Mommy had an eye appointment so i went and helped them out with moving around and stuff. i kinda forget how they have aged. kinda breaks my heart. i love my parents, no matter how irritating they get sometimes <3 Mommy found out she has some bleeding in the back of her eye so off to more doctor time on another day. After the appontment, we went and had some yummy denny's (:

(: Next thing we know, we're in a car on our way to St.Pete for some girly time of sushi and a movie ... this weeks movie, Due Date. it was pretty funny though it had its WTF moments lol the sushi out there is great! this time we ordered hungry and forgot how much sushi comes with each order. i bought freakin $50 worth of food before we left, but i did buy the bf a bento box togo.

sooo much sushi!! ugh.

The night was awesome as always and when we were back in town, i decided to go chill with the bf and his spiffeh people for a night of gaming on his new ps3 that i bought him as an early Christmas gift (: He was soo excited when we bought it on thursday and has been playing it pretty much non-stop since then lol im glad he liked his gift so much, it was completely worth every penny <3 late night gaming was pretty fun too. A great way to start the weekend (:

My Saturday's always start the same, B&M at 7:30 am. ugh. These mornings always seem to drag ass!! ): So i spent most of it talking to Crystal and Marco about the night ahead of us :D Crystals housewarming party was that night and we had decided to pitch in for a bottle of patron ;) this made time bearable and once we were off, crystal and i ran our errands for what felt like ages and left us no naptime ): so it was finally partytime and it was cool. 2 bottles of patron nd some corona (: a good ass night.

After waking up on Crystal's couch at 5:30 in the morning so robert could drive me home to mii casa , we got breakfast and i went to bed until 1 in the afternoon ... i honestly cannot remember the last time i slept for such a long period of time and it was great (: I lazed around with my cousins til Robert got off of work and then we just chilled and played with his ps3 most of the day but not without random dominos and dairy queen time <3 Castle Crasher's is a fun game and screw you C.O.D. .... i really suck at playing you. 12 deaths with not one kill ... i am ashamed ): this has been a great weekend and a great begining to my week. (:
