The weather here on Magnolia Beach in sunny S. Texas has been hot and dry. I think it has been over 100 degrees since May, a very hot summer with no rain at all. This week we did have a few sprinkles here and there.

We are getting the park ready for our busy season coming up. We already have many winter texan reservations and we look forward to seeing our repeat customers and friends.

Also getting ready to add more spaces for our busy season.

The Firechief of the magnolia beach fire department decided to take his job back. Magnolia beach is quite a payton place for sure. If you love drama, you need to move to Magnolia Beach TX. The locals here fight and fight some more.

The 4th of July celebration on Magnolia Beach was really a sight to see. Thousands of beach goers with their own fireworks. Fireworks started at dusk and for hours you could see fireworks along the 7 miles of beach here. Every type and every color I am sure was displayed. Seems like everyone had a great time on the beach in a very orderly way for so many people.

Thunder Storm

Beach was very busy over the Memorial Weekend. We had many fishing guests at the park that took advantage of our great pier . Today we had a very bad thunder storm and lots of rain causing massive flooding on the road and our front yard. Hopefully, it will evaporate fast.

We are now in San Antonio hoping to visit the river walk tomorrow. Then heading back to the beach ..Steve is bored and wants to do some work :)))

We do have some reservations for the weekend. I think the beach will be very busy for the long weekend.

Magnolia Beach Assistant Fire Chief

Steve and I are in Del Rio Texas and weather is great. Dry and not humid like the beach. This area is growing like crazy. We come thru here at least once a year and cant believe the changes. Amastad lake is calm and just a great lake for boating.

Steve was offered the assistand Fire Chief job for Magnolia Beach and he gladly excepted.

Lots of changes to come within the next year to the beach. Any support would be greatful.

From Port Lavaca travel west on TX 35 to the intersection with FM 2433. Turn left (south) and continue to the intersection with TX 238, then veer right on TX 238 and travel a short distance to the intersection with TX 316. Continue straight on TX 316 and follow the signs to Magnolia Beach and Indianola. The prairie in this region is generally intact with scattered rice fields, and in winter Sandhill Cranes, Snow Geese, and a variety of hawks (including White-tailed) abound. The rice paddies should be searched in spring for migrating shorebirds (including Wilson’s Phalarope, Hudsonian Godwit, and Buff-breasted Sandpiper). The marshes near the end of the road (near Magnolia and the LaSalle Monument) are worth a look (or listen) in spring for rails, including Black. Wander from Magnolia Beach north along the bay, and search both the beach and bay for waterbirds (a number of interesting gulls have been discovered in the area, as well as the three species of scoters).
