I'm not sure why Kimora was on MTV's TRL yesterday, but it looks like she was having a lot of fun. You can catch reruns of Season 2 of Kimora: Life in the Fast Lane on the Style Network. The show is actually worth watching. You can also download both seasons on Itunes.

She's sold millions of records as part of pop group Danity Kane, and she's toured the world, playing for screaming fans. Now, Aubrey O'Day is getting ready to trade in her hair extensions for some "Hairspray."

On Friday, the sultry songstress will make her Broadway debut in the stage adaptation of John Waters' 1988 film classic. And when she takes the stage for the first time, she'll have plenty of supporters in the audience, including the rest of her DK bandmates and the man who discovered them all: Sean "Diddy" Combs.

O'Day, who became an official member of the cast about two weeks ago, says acting has always been a passion of hers. Before pursuing a music career, she was more involved in theater, so this stint on the Great White Way is something of a dream come true.

originally started out in musical theater when I was 4 — I did 'Annie,' " she said. "I've been doing it for a very long time, and this is my first love. My dream in life was to be on Broadway, so this is actually allowing me to fulfill my dreams."

O'Day will be portraying Amber Von Tussle in the production, a role previously played by Haylie Duff, Hilary's sister.

Former President Clinton said Thursday he is eager to campaign for Barack Obama whenever the Democrat needs him, but has not given any thought to whether he wants to speak at the party convention in Denver.

"I told him that whenever he wanted me to do it, I was ready, and so it's basically on their timetable," Clinton said. "He's got a lot of things to do between now and the convention, of which this is simply one, so I'll do whatever I'm asked to do, whenever I can do it."

Relations between Clinton and Obama have only just began to thaw since Obama defeated the former president's wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, in the bruising Democratic primary that ended last month. Throughout that bare-knuckle race, Bill Clinton had portrayed Obama as too inexperienced to be president.

Since Obama clinched the nomination, it has remained an open question as to what role Clinton would play in the campaign.

Just weeks ago, Obama called the former president to ask for his help in winning the White House.

Sen. Barack Obama paid tribute Monday to the black leadership in the civil rights battles of the '60s and '70s, but reminded members of the NAACP that those leaders "were not much older than many of you when they made their mark on history."

"If I have the privilege of serving as your next president, 100 years after the founding of the NAACP, I will stand up for you the same way that earlier generations of Americans stood up for me -- by fighting to ensure that every single one of us has the chance to make it if we try," Obama said.

"That means removing the barriers of prejudice and misunderstanding that still exist in America. It means fighting to eliminate discrimination from every corner of our country. It means changing hearts and changing minds and making sure that every American is treated equally under the law."

The Illinois senator's speech was a historic first: an African-American poised to be the presidential nominee of a major party addressing the nation's oldest civil rights organization.

As he did in last year's speech to the NAACP, Obama said Monday that "we have more work to do" even after the gains made from the struggles of the older civil rights leaders. Americans must demand that government and business take more responsibility "to break the cycle of poverty and violence gripping this country," he said.

"But we also have to demand more from ourselves," he said. "Now, I know there's some who've been saying I've been too tough talking about responsibility. But here at the NAACP, I'm here to report I'm not going to stop talking about it. Because ... no matter how many 10-point plans we propose, or how many government programs we launch -- none of it will make any difference if we don't seize more responsibility in our own lives."

"Teaching our daughters to never allow images on television to tell them what they are worth; teaching our sons to treat women with respect, and to realize responsibility does not end at conception; that what makes them a man is not the ability to have a child but to raise one," he said. "That's a message we need to send."

DEATH ROW RECORDS SOLD FOR 24 MILLION

Death Row Records, the hip-hop label that released seminal gangster rap albums by Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, has been auctioned for $24 million.

The New York-based Global Music Group Inc. said in a statement to The Associated Press on Monday that on June 24 it purchased Death Row, including its enviable back catalog and current artist contracts.

The purchase concluded the roller-coaster saga of one of hip-hop's most famous labels. Under owner Marion "Suge" Knight, Death Row sold tens of millions of albums in the heyday of early `90s rap — its artists often flashing the spoils of the high life in music videos — before collapsing in debt and mismanagement.
