Every couple that has made up their mind to have a tubal reversal will hope that they have made the right decision. This is true of those who are traveling to have the surgery performed. Even those that have spent a lot of time researching may have a tendency to begin to second-guess themselves. This is all very normal. As the time begins to count down to the approaching surgery date the questions and doubts will begin to start creeping in.

After the surgery is all paid for many begin to fear that the place they are going may be a “scam”. Even though they have read all great reviews and even checked with the Better Business Bureau they still wonder.

It is not uncommon for those that are beginning to get nervous ask others that are going through the same thing. They asked if this is normal to wonder these things and if others felt this way before their surgeries. After asking they are reassured and understand that it is just their nerves.

Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center has had patients ask the same thing. The tubal reversal message board has proven to be a place of comfort and reassurance. Women who are unsure will log onto the message board and ask if others worried about the same things. After asking the questions they are met with those who have been through the same and offer reassurance.

If you have questions regarding Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center feel free to visit the website at http://www.tubal-reversal.net.

Yeast infections seem to go
hand-in-hand with those that suffer with PTLS. There are so many
changes that take place in some female bodies after the ligation. Not
only do their periods become irregular they also become unbearable.
Bleeding through and cramping becomes a dreaded monthly event. For
those that really suffer the effects of PTLS the periods can happen
twice a month or they are plagued with the never ending spotting.

One of the symptoms that have been
noted with Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome is experiencing all of the
symptoms of a yeast infection with the absence of yeast. Although
there is no explanation to this (as with many of the other symptoms),
women on the leading tubal reversal message board discuss it
regularly. Many have come up with ideas that will help ward the
symptoms off. Unfortunately, to be rid of the symptoms permanently
these women had the tubal reversal procedure.

For those suffering with Post Tubal
Ligation Syndrome it is important to understand that although the
medical community may not acknowledge PTLS there are certainly many
suffering with it. The tubal reversal surgeons at Chapel
Hill Tubal Reversal Center have been performing tubal reversal
surgery to help these women who are suffering. The great thing with
CHTRC is that after the surgery the staff is staying in touch with
the patients. The staff is following the patients and keeping track
of how the patient is feeling. All of the feedback is being
meticulously documented. Dr Berger, the Medical Director of CHTRC, is
using this information to report how PTLS is reduced with tubal
reversal surgery.

With enough medical evidence the
medical community just may begin to acknowledge that PTLS dies happen
to women. This is something that has been happening to women since
physicians began performing this type of surgery.

If you are a woman who is suffering
from Post
Tubal Ligation Syndrome the CHTRC has many personal stories from
patients. These women literally were at wits end trying to get
doctors to believe that there was something wrong with them. They
have finally found relief.

There are women that have had a tubal ligation or their tubes tied and regret the choice they made. They want to have a baby but they are not sure how to go about it. Some hope and pray that their fallopian tubes will just grow back together. Others begin looking into what is known as herbal remedies. Do herbal remedies work to unblock tubes? Probably not. Science and medicine have not shown that herbal remedies work. The only evidence we have is those women who say it has worked. Normally they state their fact on the HSG results. The problem with this is that the HSG results are not right many times. Having the test results read and interpreted by another expert is imperative.

The only two proven ways to become pregnant after a tubal ligation is with IVF or tubal ligation reversal. With IVF being so expensive and the success rate so low, many couples are just not able to afford this. But once they find out the facts about tubal reversal surgery the hope iis restored. The tubal reversal procedure is not only less expensive the pregnancy rates are much higher. Couples do not know any of this until they are able to research it. The problem is that many of today’s physicians are not taught this in medical school and there are very few doctors who actually perform this surgery on a full-time basis. Those who perform just this type of surgery are considered the experts as they have had the opportunity to repair some of the worst damage.

Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is considered the leading tubal reversal center in the world. With the price of the tubal reversal procedure being low-cost and the surgery being outpatient many couples are able to have this procedure. Time away from family and work is kept to a minimum. After the healing is complete the couple is then able to begin trying to conceive.

For more information visit the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center website.

When you hear “tubes
tied reversal” what comes to mind? A woman having her tied tubes
untied? Well, it is right, in a way. Having ones tubes tied is having
a tubal ligation. Having the tubes untied is the repair of those
tubes.

When a woman has a tubal
ligation she is choosing the procedure as a permanent form of female
sterilization. Her and her partner have chosen not to have any more
children. The procedure blocks the fallopian tubes so that the egg
and sperm cannot meet.

When a woman has her tubes
tied the surgeon does not actually tie them in a knot. There are
different procedures used such as clips, rings, cutting and burning.
Other forms of sterilization also include the Adiana and Essure. All
of these forms of sterilization can be successfully reversed.

So, when a couple chooses
to have the tubes tied reversal procedure they are choosing to have
the fallopian tubes repaired. In most cases the couples are choosing
to have this procedure to restore fertility to have another child.
There are women that have this procedure to get relief from Post
Tubal Ligation Syndrome.

When a couple chooses to
have the tubes tied reversal procedure to have fertility restored
there are some factors involved. Success depends on the experience of
the surgeon performing the reversal, age at the time of reversal and
the amount of damage to the fallopian tubes.

Chapel
Hill Tubal Reversal Center is the world's leading center for
reversal of tied tubes. Thousands of couples have traveled from
around the world to have Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith perform tubal
reversal surgery. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center has the advantage
of having two full-time surgeons. Having two experienced surgeons
that are able to work on the more difficult cases together makes the
success rate that much higher. Not only have they both dedicated
their careers to this type of medicine they are able to be in the
operating room together. Two-thirds of CHTRC patients are pregnant in
the first year following reversal surgery.

Having tubes
tied reversal has allowed couples to be able to have children
after a tubal ligation. Having hope restored is one of the best
things that can happen to a couple that wants to have children
together.

A great video describing how to get tubal reversal questions answered by the leading tubal reversal surgeons. It can be hard trying to find the answers to questions that you may have regarding this procedure. Dr. Monteith and Dr. Berger of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center personally answer all questions that are sent to them. Why do they do this? They believe the more a person understands about tubal ligation reversal surgery the better informed decision they are able to make.

When a couple wants to have a child after a tubal ligation what are their options? The option most commonly given is in vitro fertilization (IVF). Although IVF works for some, there are others that are not comfortable with it or just cannot afford the procedure.

What many in the medical field are not aware of is that tubal reversal actually has a better pregnancy success rate over IVF. This is shown in the Tubal Reversal Pregnancy Report 2009.

So, for those searching for answers about tubal reversal ask the doctor. There are no right or wrong questions.

When we
think about tubal ligation reversal surgery we think of the woman or the “patient”
having the surgery. What we seldom think about is the husband and the range of
emotions that he has.

Recently
reading a tubal reversal husband's story that was very heartwarming, I began to think
about things. How the reversal journey changes them as husbands. They worry about the same things that their wives do. They may not
express it the same way, but they certainly have feelings and emotions that can
be quite startling.

One of the
biggest things is the worry when a man’s wife heads into surgery. Although they
can be told that everything will be fine, there is still fear. As they wheel
his spouse away for the surgery room there are many thoughts taking place. Will
she actually be okay? Is this surgery really worth it if it means something
happening to her? I can’t imagine my life without her. The minutes tick by like
hours. And finally he receives word that she is out of surgery and doing just
fine. He breathes a deep sigh of relief.

As he is
escorted to see his wife he just wants to see for himself that she is okay. She
may be a bit pale and still sleeping. He wants to talk to her. Having just
woken from surgery she may be groggy and not quite fully awake. This, of
course, can cause alarm in the most masculine of men.

Once his
spouse is released back to the hotel room he has some unease. He will be the
only one with her. What if something happens? While his spouse was in surgery he was receiving specific instructions for monitoring his wife during recovery and knowing that he can always call for any questions or concerns. All of these instructions have helped him breath a bit easier. He now knows what he needs to be aware of. This is a
huge role reversal; he is now responsible for monitoring his wife's care.

After she is
back home and getting into the swing of things life begins to return to normal.
This husband is now beginning to relax a bit and realizes just what his wife
has gone through to have a child with him. He has a new view on things.

Time passes
and a baby or two is born. As the children grow he remembers how this all
started. He has projects that take place and the children help. This is the
family he has asked for and always wanted and always dreamt about.

It is
important to remember that men go through the tubal reversal journey just as we
women do. Men have their prayers and dreams answered too in the tubal reversal
journey.

Dr. Monteith of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center writes about whether dye testing or tubal stents should be used. Although different surgeons will use different methods, Dr. Monteith explains why they choose the method they do. After reading this article couples will be able to make an informed decision. There are many couples who question which is better and hopefully this will help answers some of the questions.

Having your tubes tied and wanting another child can be
disheartening. Discussing this situation with a physician can lead to being
told the only option is IVF (in vitro fertilization). IVF does work for many
couples and they are joyous to be given the chance to have a child. Then there
are the couples that do not want to use IVF. What are their options?

There is adoption. This is a wonderful option because it
gives a child a home and family. Although this is a great option, there are
still couples that want to have their own child. This is where tubal reversal
surgery comes in.

Tubal reversal surgery is when the damaged fallopian tubes
are repaired. A surgeon will remove the part of the fallopian tubes that are
damaged and then connect the healthy remaining parts. This opens the pathway
for the egg and sperm to unite.

Tubal reversal surgery has excellent pregnancy success. The
leading tubal reversal center reports that two-thirds of patients become
pregnant within the first year; this is seen in the largest tubal reversal
study conducted to date. The Tubal
Reversal Pregnancy Report 2009 has proven to be an excellent guide to physicians
as well as the general public.

So why don’t doctors
tell their patients about tubal reversal surgery?

The fault is really not all in the doctor’s hands. The
problem seems to be that many doctors do not get to witness tubal reversal
while in medical school. There are only a small amount of surgeons that perform
this procedure. Due to the complexity of the surgery it has to be their specialty.
Having a tubal reversal surgeon with experience is extremely important. There
is only one chance to have the fallopian tubes repaired right. Having the
surgeon with experience improves the pregnancy odds greatly.

What is the cost of
tubal reversal?

As with anything else the cost will vary from surgeon to
surgeon. It also depends on where the surgery is performed. If the surgery is
performed in the hospital, the cost can be triple the cost of having the
surgery performed in a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center.

The cost of
tubal reversal surgery at the leading center is about $7000.00. When
choosing the surgeon to perform the surgery it is important to know what is
included in the cost. If there are hospital fees this should be stated. Too
many times patients are not told of all the costs involved and get a surprise
after the fact. Facing unexpected bills is not something that should be part of
this new beginning.

Understanding that tubal reversal is available is important.
The fact that many couples do not know this is available is concerning. There
are many women who are quite happy with the fact that they have their tubes
tied. Understanding that there are women that live with regret daily because
they feel they have made a huge mistake is also important. There are couples
that are clueless that this surgery is even available. By helping to spread the
word we are a catalyst in helping to restore hope.

When a couple decides they are going to have the tubal ligation reversal surgery they want to find the best doctor. Although there may be surgeons close to where they live they know that they need a surgeon with a lot of experience. And they will travel to have the best chances of conceiving after a tubal reversal. It is no secret that the best chances of a successful tubal reversal will come from the surgeons with the most experience.

This is true of one such woman who travelled from Scotland to the United States to have her tubal reversal surgery. On the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center blog a tubal reversal patient named Caroline gives her story. She first researched having her tubal reversal surgery in Scotland and was told that she would need to be cut hip-to-hip and then be out of work for six weeks. She also researched IVF and realized that it was very expensive for just one treatment.

After researching a bit more Caroline knew she wanted a specialty center. And Chapel Hill was the place she wanted to have her surgery done. She still had a concern with the time since her tubal ligation. Her surgery went very well and lasted about 50 minutes. Her fallopian tubes lengths were excellent. After surgery she was discharged to a local hotel. The morning after Caroline was evaluated by a staff member and was doing very well. She was then on her way back home to Scotland.

Caroline’s chances of becoming pregnant after tubal reversal are excellent. Tubal reversal surgery restores hope to those who want children after a tubal ligation.

The circumstances behind the ligation may be different for everyone but women know when they are just not right with something.

One of the main reasons for tubal ligation regret is because the woman has chosen this procedure due to the relationship she was in at the time. If the relationship was that bad then the reasoning was certainly justified. But hen life is never predictable and changes happen.

Women will get into new relationships and often the new partner or spouse will not have any biological children. Although IVF does help couples will infertility issues it may not always be the right option for those with a previous tubal ligation. Many just cannot afford the IVF expense as much as they would love to. Others, for religious beliefs, do not want to use the IVF treatments.

One of the main questions women will ask if it matters how long the tubes have been tied? If the tubal ligation was performed over 10 years ago will the tubes be impossible to repair? Have my tubes shriveled up? The correct answer is that the length of time tubes have been tied does not matter. The things that matter at the time of tubal reversal are the type of tubal ligation that was performed and your age.

The type of tubal ligation will tell the surgeon how much the fallopian tubes were actually damaged. If the fallopian tubes have been damaged beyond repair then a woman would not be a good candidate for surgery.

The age of the woman at the time of tubal reversal does matter. As women age their eggs also age and become less healthy. Women are born with all the eggs they will have in a lifetime. As women age the quantity and quality of the eggs diminishes. This does not mean it is impossible to become pregnant. If a woman is still ovulating and having her periods then she is still able to become pregnant. The thing to keep in mind is that it may take longer.

When women approach the age of 40 years old they know their time of fertility is being lessened. If you are a woman researching tubal reversal surgery and are approaching this age then it is wise not to procrastinate.

The length of time between tubal ligation and tubal reversal does not mean that the fallopian tubes cannot be repaired.

Most choose this type of surgery in order to restore fertility after a tubal ligation. Tubal ligation reversal surgery is actually the surgery to repair the blocked or damaged fallopian tubes.

When couples begin informing others that they have decided to have this surgery they can be met with a variety of comments or opinions. Those who are closest to the couple will often be those of greatest support but this may not always be the case. There are usually those with at least one of the following comments.

Why now after all of these years? Your children are almost all grown.

Why would you want to start all over again?

Will you be able to afford this?

Don’t you two want to be able to enjoy life now that you are getting older?

Aren’t you too old to be trying to have a baby?

If you have have heard any of the previous comments you can just join the club! If you haven’t yet then be ready for them when they hit and don’t say you haven’t been warned.

The thing to remember is not everyone understands what this is all about. When you and your partner have made the decision to go through with this surgery it was after much though and research.

Another thing to remember is to seek support. Support can be found in groups as well as tubal reversal message boards. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center has a tubal reversal message board that is super active. Although the tubal reversal journey may not always be easy, it is easier when you have people that understand what you are going through.

The greatest piece of advice is to remember that this is your journey that you and your partner have decided on. If you decide to have a ligation reversal it is a personal decision and should be treated as such. There will always be people that will have something to say that you may not like but many do not have the knowledge about the procedure that you have.

This is when a woman has chosen to have a tubal ligation or her “tubes tied” so that she cannot have any more children. The blockage can be diagnosed by the surgeon reading the tubal ligation operative report. Many women and couples who have decided to have a tubal ligation will regret the decision and want the fallopian tubes repaired rather than seek IVF. This type of surgery is called tubal ligation reversal and an expert tubal reversal surgeon is able to make the repair so that fertility can be restored.

Other reasons why the fallopian tubes may be blocked are a bit harder to diagnose. There are two ways that a doctor can look to see where the blockage is. The first is in the operating room where special instruments are used to find the exact blockage. The other method used is by having what is known as a hysterosalpingogram x-ray (HSG). A technician will be performing this test and the results will be sent to your physician. This test is performed by placing dye through the fallopian tubes in order to find the blockage. The dye will not flow past the point of the blockage.

If the fallopian tube is blocked at the very beginning of the fallopian tube it is known as a proximal tubal blockage. The most common cause of this is SIN (salpingitis isthmica nodosa). This is where there are little bulges inside the fallopian tubes. The surgeons are able to repair this type of blockage using a technique called tubouterine implantation.

The next type of blockage is known as tubal hydrosalpinx. This is where the end of the tube is closed or blocked and can be caused from a previous infection. Tubal reversal specialists are able to repair this type of blockage using a technique called ampullary salpingostomy.

The surgeons at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center specialize in the repair of blocked fallopian tubes. Many are under the impression that the only type of surgery that is performed at this Center is the tubal ligation reversal or “untie tubes”. The fact of the matter is because they have performed so many surgeries they are able to repair fallopian tubes that others surgeons did not want to attempt. Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith are able to repair fallopian tubes in 99% of all cases.

Although couples are still able to have children after a diagnosis of blocked fallopian tubes using IVF or in vitro fertilization many do not want to go this route. Many will want to have more than one child and the cost of IVF is too expensive for them to afford. The Tubal Reversal Pregnancy Report 2009 provides evidence that tubal reversal surgery actually has a better pregnancy success rate over the alternative treatment of IVF. This in itself has helped many couples choose the best way to have a child following the diagnosis of blocked fallopian tubes.

For more information on the repair of blocked tubes the tubal reversal nurses can be contacted by calling 1-919-968-4656. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center also has a very active tubal reversal message board.

If we didn’t we wouldn’t be human or we would just be extremely lucky. And for women who had their tubes tied and now wish they never had have the same feelings.

Contrary to popular believe many women who now regret having their tubes tied did not make the “initial” decision on a whim. Many were in circumstances where they were pressured to have the tubal ligation by their partners and/or family members. Often, they were not the ones who actually wanted the tubal ligation. Of course there will always be those that say that they should have never agreed to have it done. That is easy to say when you are standing on the outside passing judgment. Being in a terrible relationship that can be abusive is reason enough. Add to this relationship others pressuring you not to have anymore. Add in the fact that you are about to have a baby and hormones are flying and being sleep deprived doesn’t help.

Things do change in our lives and luckily for the better. Many women will move on and actually begin a relationship where love is involved. And if her partner does not have children the desire to have one together is something that is very strong. Problem is women feel they have done something terrible. They have anger and frustration because of their pasts. The person they were with in the previous relationship has moved on and they are stuck being the one that is now infertile.

There is hope and it is called tubal ligation reversal surgery. The cost is about $6000.00 at the time of this article. Pregnancy success rates are excellent for most and the more research that couples are doing is lifting a burden off of women’s shoulders. Yes, their past can be mended and the past is not going to stop them from having a bright future. Every day is a day to look forward to having reversal surgery. It is a day to take better care of her body because she will hopefully someday be pregnant and carry another child.

For more information on tubal ligation reversal be sure to visit Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. Which one will help them have a baby faster and what is the cost of the treatments?

There are factors involved when trying to make the choice. Price, of course, is a huge concern especially in this economy. The price of IVF can be overwhelming for many couples and often leads to loans that have to be paid back. If the first treatment does not work then it is back for more treatments. This is not to say that IVF isn’t the better choice for some women. If the fallopian tubes are too damaged then the tubal reversal surgeon will not be able to repair them. Another factor is the woman’s age. Age affects the women’s eggs. As we get older the egg quality as well as quantity diminishes. Male factors must also be taken into consideration. If a low sperm count is present then this will also affect the pregnancy success rate.

Tubal ligation reversal may be a better option for those couples that do not have any known fertility issues. This is a much more natural way to conceive and there is a chance of conceiving each cycle. For those who would like more than one child after a reversal there is no treatment needed. The cost of tubal reversal surgery at this time at the leading tubal reversal center is $5900.00. This is far less expensive than the alternative of IVF. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center answers the question of what is the chance of becoming pregnant after tubal reversal? At Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center it stands at 70%. Two-thirds of patients become pregnant in the first year following surgery. They have everything lines up like the ovulation predictor kits as well as the basal thermometer to begin charting their temperatures. They are ready to begin the journey as soon as they are aware that ovulation in about to happen. Ready, set, go!

Much to the couples dismay they are trying to conceive for a couple of months and nothing is happening. What could be wrong? The woman begins to think maybe one or both of her fallopian tubes is blocked. Maybe she should get a test to see if they are still open? Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center don’t recommend the HSG this early following tubal reversal surgery. Maybe it will just take more time to get pregnant. In the meantime the waiting and trying is being to takes its toll on your patience and your relationship with you significant other. It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

Does any of the above sound like you or someone you know? If it does then this is certainly a topic that is discussed every single day.

After tubal reversal surgery there are couples that do get pregnant right away. It is also very important to keep in mind that many do not conceive that fast. It normally takes a couple a year to conceive. And a year can seem like forever for something that you want so bad and have waited so long for.

“Just relax and it will happen.” Great words of wisdom but a couple trying to get pregnant and hearing those words do not help. The truth of the matter is many tubal reversal patients did get pregnant after they gave up. Was it because they relaxed and weren’t so stressed? Although there may not be any “medical evidence” to back this up it seems to happen to a lot of tubal reversal patients.

Are you stressed while trying to conceive? Your body needs time to heal. What happens many times is after returning back home you are feeling great. You may be a little tired and you may notice some slight pulling here and there. And the bloating will still be there. Problem is you are feeling great and want to do things. Be careful and listen to your body!

One of the biggest mistakes is when you are feeling great and then you begin to push things a little too far. Of course you know that you are not supposed to be lifting anything really heavy. Here we go…just lifting this bag or moving this over won’t hurt. And it usually doesn’t…until later.

Tubal reversal patients at the leading tubal reversal center, Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, know this routine all too well. And after they have learned there is usually a woman on the tubal reversal message board about to do the same thing. They get home and feel excellent and the day after doing a bit too much feels like they have been run over by a truck. Truth is, this happens many times over.

Because this is a one-hour outpatient procedure many may think it isn’t as “taxing” on the body as a major surgery. Keep in mind that surgery is surgery whether outpatient or major surgery in a hospital. Your body needs the time to be able to heal and get you back to full recovery.

Although Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith use the most advanced microsurgery methods known, it is still surgery. Lets not forget the stress and nerves that may have lead up to the big surgery day. Your body may also need to recuperate from that too.

You have been through quite an extraordinary journey and now it is time to take just a small break and let your fallopian tubes and muscles heal. The more you allow your body to heal the faster you will be back to your old self!

Has anyone reading this just happen to overdo it right after surgery?

These are those women who know they would never be able to afford IVF or adoption so they try to make the feeling go away. The problem is that the feeling doesn’t go away but just keeps gnawing at your insides and at your heart.

This is the same woman who is determined to find a way to have a child. She will not give up hope and begins researching through every piece of material that she can get her hands on. This is when she stumbles onto tubal ligation reversal and finds some very interesting facts.

Reading the Tubal Reversal Pregnancy Report 2009 it is quite clear that tubal reversal has a pregnancy success rate that is higher than IVF. She also finds out the center that conducted the study has a fallopian tubes repair success rate of 98%. Hope is finally beginning to come back.

The cost of the tubal reversal procedure is about $6000.00. For anyone that has researched IVF the cost of the reversal procedure doesn’t even come close to one IVF treatment.

With all of the excitement she wants to talk to others that have been through the procedure. They will begin to worry that they are not ovulating because their periods are not regular. First, it may take a couple of months for your period to get back to “normal”. Now when stating “normal” even that “normal” may change. Those who were suffering with Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome will consider their periods after tubal reversal better which was not normal for them. Normal meant heavy bleeding and cramping and being plain miserable.

On the opposite side of the spectrum are those who have periods that are irregular for a while following surgery. They may have a short cycle and then a longer cycle. Then they will see where their cycles will become regular again.

When wanting to get pregnant as soon as possible after tubal surgery there are a few things that can be done. The first is to purchase and use ovulation predictor kits or OPK’s. There are a few brands and you will probably have to try a few to see which ones you like the best. Once you know which ones you want to use there are websites where they can be purchased cheaper and in bulk. The patients on the tubal reversal message board are very good at giving their opinions as to which ones are best and/or easy to use and read.

Another method that women use is the BBT (basal body temperature) method. Taking your temperature at the same time everyday when waking up is how the basal temperature is recorded. Although it may seem a bit confusing at first it will only take a bit to catch on. This method is quite reliable and many use this along with the OPK’s until they get the swing of things.

Those patients that have had their surgery will tell the ladies who are waiting for the surgery to begin finding where in their cycle ovulation takes place. The reason for doing this before surgery is so that you will be better in tune with your body’s signals after the tubal reversal surgery. You will have some idea of the changes that take place when ovulation is pending as well as when ovulation has taken place.

Many find it amazing that they never picked up on the changes that their bodies go through each and every month. The human body is quite amazing.

What if she knows she made one of the biggest mistakes of her life? Is there anything other than adoption or IVF? Trying to come up with the money for IVF is something that this couple can’t even think about but would do anything at the chance to have a child after a tubal ligation. IS there a better way?

The answer is there is a way to have children after a tubal ligation or having one’s tubes tied. There is a way that is more affordable and less taxing on the woman’s body. The answer is found in tubal ligation reversal surgery.

Couples all over the world travel to Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center to seek surgery to have tubal ligations reversed. Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith are known as the experts in the reversal world. When asked what the repair success rate is the surgeons are able to repair 98% of all cases that they are presented with. There are very few tubal ligations that these surgeons cannot repair.

There are a few factors that will need to be considered when researching reverse tubal ligation. The first is the type of tubal ligation that was performed. The less damage to the fallopian tubes the better lengths of healthy tube that will remain following surgery.

The second is the woman’s age at the time of reversal. As we age our eggs decline in both quality and quantity. There are tests that can be done to check for both. Some surgeons will not even discuss tubal reversal with women that are forty or over. This is not true at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. At this center women can decide for themselves. If a woman is still ovulating and having her period then she can still conceive.

Another factor that isn’t brought up many times is the experience of the tubal reversal surgeon. Because tubal reversal is the only type of surgery performed at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center this is what Dr. Berger and D. Monteith concentrate on. There are times when women have stated that another surgeon has told her that her fallopian tubes are unable to be repaired. Upon having their surgery at CHTRC their fallopian tubes were not only repaired but they were able to have successful pregnancies.

For more information on tubal ligation reversal surgery the tubal reversal nurses can be contacted by calling 1-919-968-4656. There are certain things that a couple should be aware of before making their final decision.

There are physicians that will state they perform the tubal reversal surgery. The problem is when the couple speaks with the physician at the consultation they are pushed towards IVF or in vitro fertilization. Although IVF does help many couples when the woman’s fallopian tubes cannot be repaired it is not the best answer for everyone. IVF can be very expensive and many couples are not comfortable with choosing this procedure to have a child together.

The Experience of the Tubal Reversal Surgeon

The experience of the tubal reversal surgeon makes a big difference in the successful outcome of the tubal ligation reversal. Surgeons that strictly perform just this type of surgery have more experience as well as see many more cases a day. The more experience then helps if the surgeon runs across a situation that many other surgeons may have ever encountered.

Pregnancy Success Rate

When looking for a tubal reversal surgeon be sure to ask for the pregnancy success rate. Where do the facts come from? Is the surgeon giving you medical history based facts? Or, do the facts come from a study that was performed by another tubal reversal surgeon or center? Be sure to obtain concrete evidence as this procedure may just hold the key to having another child.

Patient Reports and Feedback

Does the surgeon or center have patient feedback posted on their websites? Many couples do not always think to try to ask other patients questions they may. Who better to get information from then someone who has already been through the journey? Couples realize how bad other couples want to have that second chance at having a child and they will certainly help answer questions.

Frequency of Patient Interaction

Does the surgeon have a website where the patients interact? Do the women interact with each other and the staff on the tubal reversal message board often? Are questions that couples post concerning tubal reversal surgery answered in a timely manner? Although this may seem trivial in the mix of things it is very important to those who have questions and would like them answered.

For more information on how to find the best tubal reversal doctor visit the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center website. For some it is due to a new relationship or marriage while for the others the decision is die to just wanting more children. Many times a woman will choose to have her tubes tied because she is not in a good relationship. Once that relationship has ended and she finds herself in a loving relationship she begins to regret what she has done.

Couples go into a tubal ligation reversal procedure understanding that pregnancy is not guaranteed. What they do understand is now they have a better chance due to fertility being restored. The possibility of pregnancy is now there and this is what they want.

As the day of surgery approaches there is a wide variety of emotions coming into play. The couple may be nervous due to the surgery itself and there is often fears that can pertain to the tube length after surgery. One of the things with tubal reversal is that the better length of fallopian tubes you have after surgery the pregnancy success rate is better. It is not uncommon for women to worry about how much healthy fallopian tube she will be left with.

One of the most shocking things is that women will go through the surgery and only have one fallopian tube. Or, she will have the surgery and then experience an ectopic pregnancy and lose one of her tubes due to rupture. At this point the fear of never being able to get pregnant becomes very real.

The good news is that women do get pregnant and go on to have very healthy pregnancies. As a matter of fact many women with only one remaining fallopian tubes will go on to have subsequent children.

Many believe that if there is only one fallopian tube the only way pregnancy is possible is if the woman ovulates from the same side. This is a myth and has been medically proven. The egg can actually float to the other side and go into the fallopian tubes. Many believe that when ovulation takes place it happens from opposite sides each month. A woman can ovulate from the same side as the month before. This not ovulating on opposite sides happens more than we think according to the experts! This is great news for those who are trying to conceive with just one fallopian tube. The chances are very good that conception can occur at any given cycle no matter which side releases the egg.

For more information on one tube following tubal reversal visit the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center website.
