His writing covers many genres, he has a catalogue of over 80 original songs, and though he prefers to play originals he also covers many songs from the 50's to the present day.

Strummer is an awesome RL/SL musician. He can play keyboard, guitar, and his harmonica will blow you away! But what will really rock your soul his is voice. It is very powerful and moving. Although he can play a wide variety of music, he really brings it home when he plays the blues!

Dee suona in SL sin dal Maggio 2010. Si è esibita in dozzine di club e il suo fan group "Dee's Meepers!",è in continuo aumento ed attualmente conta un centinaio di iscritti.
Dee è una esperta musicista che usa una varietà di stili per promuovere la sua presenza musicale accompagnata da una presenza vocale davvero unica. using a variety of styles to . Le Chi la ascolta rimane davvero impressionato dal suo livello di bravura ed amano il modo in cui reinterpreta le loro canzoni preferite, permettendo loro di ascoltarle come mai prima.

Il materiale che esegue è un’ampia varietà di musica brillantemente arrangiata acusticamente comprendendo pezzi che spaziano dagli anni   60 ad oggi - perlopiù   mainstream a cui talvolta aggiunge qualche pezzo meno noto.
Dee affronta qualche arrangiamento abbastanza complesso come   Classical Gas.

Dee Taylor suona la chitarra da   30 anni e si guadagna da vivere con la musica da circa 9 anni viaggiando in tutto il sud est degli USA . Suona   basso, chitarra, tastiere , percussioni, e canta E’ anche uno scienziato ed un sound engineer e ha registrato molti pezzi. a good bit of I musicisti che lo hanno più influenzato sono stati Rush, Yes, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin e molti altri!

La sua prima band risale al 1981. Dee has been playing in SL as a solo acoustic guitar artist since May, 2010. She has played dozens of clubs and venues - always invited back. She has a continually growing hardcore following which includes (as of April 2011) 93 members in her group "Dee's Meepers!", and an additional 50 members of her Subscribe-o-matic notifier.
As opposed to many who simply strum, Dee is a well-seasoned musician using a variety of styles to promote a strong-driving musical presence accompanied by a high-caliber unique vocal presence. People who hear her perform are impressed with the level of musicianship, and many are thrilled to hear great songs done right that they haven't heard in ages. She does a lot of songs that are extremely challenging to perform, many of which will not be heard elsewhere on SL.
Material covered is a broad variety of music brilliantly arranged acoustically, from 60's through modern - mostly mainstream but adding in a few obscure selections. Hi I'm Dee Taylor - I've been playing guitar for 30 years and made a living playing music for about 9 years, travelling over the southeast USA region. I play bass, guitar, keyboard, drums, and sing. I'm also a scientist and sound engineer and have done a good bit of recording. I was heavily influenced by Rush, Yes, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and so many others!

My first band was back in 1981. After playing on and off, in 1998 I got into music heavily and went through several bands including an acoustic duo and a 70's & 80's dance/funk band called Short Bus. I played bass, ran sound, and sang about half the lead in Short Bus. I am happy to be back playing after a total 5 year break between 2005 and 2010.

NANCE ha uno stile originale:la sua musica è un po' blues, un po' roots ma ama anche illuminare di rock i suoi pezzi originali.

Jon ama da sempre l' Acoustic Sound, ed ha iniziato ad esibirsi all'età di 15 anni.
Si è sempre divertito a trasformare le canzoni rock in pezzi acustici ed ama la musica in modo appassionato.
"Mi piace condividere il mio passatempo" dice Jon,musicista della Pennsylvania, "la musica è a volte un vero balsamo paragonabile ad una medicina miracolosa,io la uso per stare bene e sopravivere".
Jon ha sempre suonato prevalentemente come solista, talvolta si è esibito in un duo acustico, inoltre è stato bassista in una 80's Classic Band .
E' aperto a tutte le sperimentazioni musicali anche se preferisce il sound acustico.
Nei suoi show Jon esege un repertorio di oltre 300 canzoni con materiale di grandi autori come Cat Stevens, Pink Floyd, REM, U2 e molti altri che reinterpreta da grande musicista.

Mamaa Saiz is a newcomer to performing in SL but he has played around Texas for many years including over a decade with Bowley and Wilson on the Greenville Avenue strip. He brings a unique treatment to a variety of music from jazz classics to country and western and throws in some comedy and tear jerkers along the way.

His acoustic guitar skills are amazing and he sings live with no back tracks. He has been influenced by many musicians including Carlos Jobim, Glenn Frye, James Taylor, and more.

Attualmente ha una Opera rock basata sulla novella di Dickens “Storia di due città” che è stata messa in scena lo scorso autunno a   NYC.

Vive in un’isola a 30 miglia dalla   east coast degli USA e trasmette in diretta streaming dallo studio di casa sua.

Pa Decosta is a guitarist/songwriter from Portugal, with a background of playing in rock bands.
He started playing in high school during the late seventies and hasn't stopped ever since.

His solo act in Second Life is a mix of his own acoustic songs with love songs from Brazilian composers and others, with the classical guitar as sole musical support.

He also plays synth guitar and improvises on more esoteric compositions when the mood is right.

Pa is also the vocalist and guitarist for the Produto Acabado Band, a four member band from Portugal with vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums performing original smoking and driving blues! Band members include: Guru - Guitar and Vocals, Cota - Bass, Mac - Keyboards and Jota - Drums.

Pa Decosta è un chitarrista e compositore portoghese dove ha suonato in varie rock bands.
Ha iniziato a suonare quando frequentava il liceo alla fine degli anni ‘70 e non ha praticamente mai smesso sino ad ora!

TB (aka Joao Frazao) è un musicista portoghese che suona un tipo raffinato di world music, risultante dalla contaminazione del tradizionale fado portoghese con influenze di jazz e di musica afro.Il suo strumento è l'ukulele elettrico che non è originario come molti pensano delle isole Hawaii, ma lì giunse nel 1879 insieme ad una nave proveniente da Madeira ,con a bordo 419 emigranti destinati a lavorare nei campi di canne da zucchero.Per festeggiare l'arrivo dopo 4 mesi e 15,000 miglia di viaggio in mare, Joao Fernandes, uno di quei lavoratori in cerca di fortuna,cominciò a rallegrare i compagni suonando la sua braguinha (questo il nome portoghese dello strumento).Affascinati dal suono cristallino provocato dalle agili dita saltellanti fra le corda, gli indigeni giunti sul molo apprezzarono l'inatteso concerto e subito ribattezzarono lo strumento col nome di ukulele, che in hawaiano significa "pulce saltellante".TB Andel è un musicista professionista che ha fatto concerti in tutto il mondo, dal Nord America all'India ,dall'Africa a ll'Europa, accompagnato dai migliori musicisti della sua terra, animato dal desiderio di diffonderne la cultura attraverso la musica.Nel suo tour virtuale ripropone il medesimo repertorio,basato sia sui suoi pezzi originali che sulle musiche folk tradizionali completamente riarrangiate in chiave personale.La sua è una musica che difficilmente abbandona la memoria una volta ascoltata...

You can use my RL name of course :) its the RL musician who is behind TB Andel so theres no problem at all call me João Frazão as well :)

Where are you from?/

I'm from Portugal but I live in England at the moment.

How long have you been playing music?/

I've been playing music for 29 years.. During all this years I've been playing with many well-known portuguese singers ( Rita Guerra, Roberto Leal, João Afonso and more... ) touring all over the world with some of them. I've been making some studio work as well as technician. I mixed and mastered "Joana Rios" CD and several other CDs

What instruments do you play?

Well my main instrument is Guitar, i started playing guitar with 13 years old... but i also play electric ukulele [ this isntrument is designed by me and builted for me... its unique :) ] , eletric bass and Piano [ this 2 instruments im not great eheh but i play enaugh to record my backing tracks... on piano sometimes i need midi editing help ehehehe and of course i use technology.. samplers midi programming and audio editing and mastering.

How did you discover SL?

Here it is a funny story.... first time i heared about SL it was in a TV show... im also a web programmer.. so i always spent a lot of time on computers, one day i was about to sleep ( my 6 AM ) and I was eating before going to bed, I turned on my TV and I found a TV program that was talking about a brand new "game" on t internet... well my "computer freak side" didn't let me go bed and I watched the program... at the the end of came back to my computer again to install SL instead going to sleep bed ! So well I am here now playing my music ( some original, portuguese folk music and now some blues and rock as well )... and of course I become SL addicted !

What has influenced you to get your to where you are today musically?/

Mainly my instinct. I always felt music like my main way to communicate. About influences... I got some... I've always been listening some Jazz, classical, some rock... loads of world music ,whch is my passion , but let me tell you during this 29 years playing music I never tried to copy any of the guitar players I listen to... I think I will never be able to feel the same as they feel.. so I guess it's better for me to play what I feel , and I hope that people will like it.

Do you think SL can be a valid showcase for your RL works?

Sure! through SL, RL people can listen my music played live. Like in RL, every show in SL is different, musician mood to play depends on the crowd mood, just like in RL. I guess musician can make real good RL contacts here in SL to play RL. I'm still looking for my opportunities. I have some hundreds of people here in SL following me in every show,. How would you describe your style?

Hard question! I don't know. I guess as TB Andel i would descibe my self as a world music player. I play portuguese folk music and original music. The portuguese folk music have a lot of influencies ( arabic, african, celtic) so i guess i mix a bit of all this styles in my music.

Which are the sources of your inspiration?

EVERYTHING !!!! all around me inspire me... if I feel sad for any reason i'll make sad music if I feel romantic I'll make romantic music etc etc... Every little thing might make me feel some music... thats why I love music I guess, I can express my self through sounds

Where are you from?

Well first of all, i would like to Introduce myself. My name in real life is Guy Noel and in Second Life I perform as Mats Milev. I am a singer-songwriter coming from Luxembourg. It's a very tiny country. They call it it the Heart of Europe.

How long have you been playing music?

Well the question is, at what stage did I think that I was able to play it ... I started, as mostly Kids do, practicing every day in order to be able to play some chords. I remember that I have an old guitar with only one string, i think it was the G side...I played it day and night until my girlfriend bought me a new one. Thanks to her ! So it took some years finally to be able to join a Band. But at that time, another Band member told me that i had a very good voice....so that's how i started to become a Singer and a guitarist. If i remember well, i was 20 at that time.

Let's start spending some words about SL :how did you discover SL? what brought you inworld?

I came into Sl due to a later friend called Cyberpiper, a well known inworld musican.
I remember that once I was sitting at home reading some magazines when I found a very nice report about him, who was used to playing in a virtual World in front of people from all over the Globe, but in front of his Computer. At that time, streaming wasn't so popular to the people and i found it very interesting. We met later in Sl and became friends. I remember that it was very hard to find out how to stream, which hardware and programs to use. I asked many people in Sl and a lot of them were very helpful. I played my first gig over the computer mic...oh God ! it sounded terrible and awful!. Then I finally found a stream program for Mac, called : Nicecast. It has a lot of features where you can mix your guitar and voice sound.

Did you ever think to use your real name for what you usually do in Second Life?

Of course. My music is my passion. People should also know my real name as I am selling my music also. It is available on Itunes and on amazon. I’m also distributing it inworld in Sl. I am presenting my originals in Sl when i play and that's why people should know my real name too.

I am juse country who wt a Singer-Songwriter from a littlants to share his original music with people from everywhere. A musician without this one and only dream..i haven't met him yet if you know what I mean

Can you describe your experience in SL:what did you like to do when you were not playing?did you like to go to live music events or to art exhibits?

Of course, my main reason for Sl was music. That is why I am trying to follow and listen to every artist in Sl. I am mostly standing in the back so people can't see me..i don't know why..but i am doing this also in my real life when I attend to some gig ..don't ask me why !
I liked very much going to concerts of Ayden Kruh who is not inworld anymore I guess
I like so much also the music of Craig Lyons. I’ve been listening a lot of concerts of Aminius Writer who is a very talented Artist too, even if he’s mainly focused on covers. I once sent him my cd to his home and when i arrived at his Gig in Sl he was covering a song of mine.... I felt so proud of it, since it seemed to me that people started appreciating my original music!!

What has influenced you to get your to where you are today musically?

I started playing in Sl around 2007 but I did only covers at that time. I was not that much able to write original songs.
A friend helped me...she was a fan of mine, she never missed But at that time there was a woman from the Uk following me to every Gig played :unfortunately I cannot remember her name, but...that’s what friends are for, so... Once, she just said to me,” your music makes me feel good every time I listen to it “and that was a very talented and gifted musician. She asked me why i didn't play my own songs and she convinced me to start writing. Due to her, my life music changed.I got a cd now, over 20 original songs.

Do you think SL could be a valid showcase for your RL works?
No, i don't think so.

How would you describe your style?
I think my style would fall into Rock, Pop, Folk with a touch of melancholy in it.

Which are the sources of your inspiration?
The music of David Gray, Damien Rice just to name a few

You have just released your last CD:in which is it different from your previous ones?
I have released my first CD whose title wasis ' Let Me Be Myself'. It is a Extended version of 4 songs that I wrote these songs in a time when i felt not that good. I took advantage of that and started to write. These are the most sincere times when your white paper starts to get filled with honest words coming from the heart.

Do you use other kind of digital promotions?
I started to use also Ustream last year so people can see me when I am playing. These concerts are mostly streamed together with Sl. I announce these concerts usually over my Facebook acount.

Where do you see yourself a year from now:will Second Life still exist?

I don't see myself much different in a year. I hope i will write my 12 songs a year and will record them on my next album.

I think Secondlife is very useful for artists, musicians like me in order to promote themselves but it is also very tired if you need to play in irregular hours. Means accepting Gigs at a much later hour just to reach more people with your music. But that is another thing where musicians in Sl surely agree with me. Doing this Gig after gig will let you make feeling very tired in your real life

I think people are still afraid to come into Sl because they think they will become addicted to it....and that's true :)

Saintess Larnia is new to the live music scene on SL. She is a British musician who will captivate you by the very first note with her strong, powerful, yet emotional voice. She delivers awesome and moving acoustic covers. She is poised to make a huge splash in SL with her dynamic sound. She has been singing all her life and is inspired by the likes of Eva Cassidy, Crowded House, Heart, and K T Tunstall.

SANDY:Where are you from?
SAINTESS: I'm from the United Kingdom.

SANDY:How long have you been playing music?
SAINTESS:I have been singing seriously for about 15 yrs. It all started singing along to Madonna in my teenage years.

SANDY:Let's start spending some words about SL :how did you discover SL? what brought you inworld?
SAINTESS:I discovered Second Life through a couple of musician friends of mine Lexie Luan & Blindboink Parham that were already performing many shows. They helped me get set up and I began doing some open mics and speaking to venue owners and quickly I was up and running as a performer.

SANDY:Did you ever think to use your real name for what you usually do in Second Life?
SAINTESS: think right now it suits me to be Saintess Larnia as I used to sing on another chat program with the name Saintess and I am making connections here on SL from people that knew me on there too.

SANDY:Can you describe your experience in SL:what did you like to do when you were not playing?did you like to go to live music events or to art exibits?

SAINTESS:When not performing I love to listen to other musicians and of course go shopping! I remember trying to rez my guitar and it ended up stabbing me through the stomach and my hair was flying beside me. I was giggling for quite a while about that.

SANDY:What has influenced you to get your to where you are today musically?
SAINTESS:I spent time listening to other live musicians and that inspired me to learn the guitar and they all helped me along the way.

SANDY:Do you think SL could be a valid showcase for your RL works?
SAINTESSI think Second Life is perfect for promotion of RL albums because the people listening are real fans in either world.I have written my first song called ‘Faded’ which has been really exciting for me as it has inspired me to write further. I wrote ‘Faded’ about a situation where someone’s personality is affected by another and how they feel themselves fading away.

SANDY:How would you describe your style?
SAINTESSI would say I have an original style and like to put my own twist into songs with power yet add delicateness. I play acoustic guitar and I feel this brings out extra creativity in me.

SANDY:Which are the sources of your inspiration?

SAINTESS: Many artists have influenced me but Eric Clapton & Serena Ryder are the main ones that really taught me about music and imaginative songwriting.
. I will be recording my first song shortly.

SANDY:Do you use other kind of digital promotions?
SAINTESSWhen I record my first single I hope to make it available to purchase through the main online music download websites.

La musica in SL e' affascinante ma talvolta puo essere frustrante quando l'artista si trova di fronte ai problemi tecnici : la qualità del suono è senza dubbio il primo obiettivo di tutti i musicisti e di questo argomento vogliamo parlare pensando di fare una cosa gradita ai tanti musicisti RL che sarebbero interessati ad iniziare una carriera in SL ma anche perche' no a chi in SL gia' ha iniziato a fare i suoi primi concerti.
Innanzitutto bisogna sfatare la convinzione che per avere un buon setup sia indispensabile disporre di un budget molto elevato ...si può ottenere una buona qualita'del suono con costi del tutto accessibili!

QUALITA' DELLA CONNESSIONE
Naturalmente dobbiamo iniziare parlando dello streaming: affinche' siano raggiunti buoni livelli qualitativi l'encoding dello streaming deve essere di 128kbps 44.1 KHz Stereo: tuttavia a volte emergono incompatibilita' con la reale connessione di cui il musicista dispone, ecco perche' bisogna essere assolutamente sicuri della reale banda di upload di cui si dispone.Ecco qui di seguito i rapporti ideali fra la ampiezza della banda e l'encoding:
128 Kbps Upload Bandwidth = Encoding 64 Kbps
256 Kbps Upload Bandwidth = Encoding 96 Kbps
512 Kbps Upload Bandwidth = Encoding 128 Kbps
Disponendo di tali valori non si incontreranno i tipici problemi come la perdita del segnale:in ogni caso si consiglia sempre di fare un soundcheck prima del concerto sia perchè non tutti i server di broadcasting sono uguali fra loro e sia perche' la distanza fisica dalla locazione del server puo causare problemi: non dimentichiamo che sulla piattaforma virtuale di SL si verifica spesso che l'esibizione di un artista avvenga in un altro continente rispetto a quello in cui il suo segnale viene trasmesso!

QUALITA' DEL SUONO
La qualita' del suono naturalmente si puo' perfezionare facendo ricorso alla giusta tecnologia:come abbiamo detto questo non significa affatto sobbarcarsi costi eccessivi, e se l'artista dispone gia' di un project studio sicuramente non incontrera' alcun problema.
Un setup semplice ma efficace si puo ottenere con una scheda audio professionale o semiprofessionale esterna (USB o firewire non importa). Questo elemento e' davvero molto importante per cui il suggerimento, nel caso in cui si faccia uso di una scheda audio standard on board e' quello di cambiarla: decisamente tale scheda non e'fatta per essere usata per produzioni musicali!
Comunque se ne possono trovare di ottime sul mercato, semi professionali, a meno di 100$. Un suggerimento può essere quello di disporre inoltre di un mixer tradizionale (o meglio ancora un mixer con interfaccia audio ed effetti on boards se non volete spendere poi capitali in effetti esterni!) con il quale gestire gli ingressi esterni.

Ingressi Esterni
Un esempio tipico di setup può essere:
- un ingresso determinato dall'uscita dell'effetto rack della chitarra (o basso o altro strumento),
- un ingresso determinato dall'uscita del pre microfonico (o anche dal microfono stesso);
- un ingresso determinato dall'uscita delle tastiere;
Con questos setup si ha un solo segnale input sul software del mixer della scheda audio: è preferibile usare il mixer come superfice di controllo nelle performances live in sl in quanto è molto più semplice gestire i livelli agendo direttamente sui controlli tipo volume, equalizzazione, livello di input, ecc..
Con un mixer esterno(da 200$ a 800$ per restare in una fascia diciamo a budget controllato) si possono aggiungere strumenti esterni facilmente controllabili con un unica interfaccia hardware.
Naturalmente controllate sempre i cavi di ingresso (suggerisco di utilizzarne di buona qualità) che in genere sono sempre la causa di fastidiosi rumori di fondo.

Mixing ingressi esterni e fonti interneL'utilizzo di tracks registrate rende possibile suonare da casa propria come se si avesse a disposizine una intera band , facendo la felicita' dei propri vicini!
Si puo usare un sequencer (Cubase, Sonar, Fruityloops etc), ma anche utilizzare track già registrate in formato wav/mp3 files. Un sequencer da l'opportunita' di cambiare qualcosa nella performance in real time, aggiungendo magari qualche effetto VST. In questo modo avrete un mix tra sorgenti esterne suonate o cantate live ed una base avanzata pre-registrata (naturalmente anche quella suonata precedentemente).
Nell'utilizzo di tracce preregistrate è preferibile usare la minore compressione possibile perchè il broacasting prevede già un ulteriore encoding e questo non fa che incidere sulla qualità generale del suono con classici effetti quali perdita della dinamica, minori sfumature nel range di frequenze udibili ed in generale un certo livello di compressione sonora.

A questo punto potete cominciare a diffondere la vostra musica in SL (e nel web) in diretta, comodamente da casa vostra!

One of the major stake that indie musicians have to deal with on the web is visibility. Web brings up a lot of opportunities for indies musicians, but as a matter of fact, we daily experiment that the web brings anonymity at first.

How can a musician can be visible when lost among thousand of others in huge musician directories ? How can he or she put up a social network which works, when thousand of others musicians are harassing the members of places like myspace ?

And if we try to watch things on the public point of view : How can people make a difference between real indie musicians, those who are mature enough in their art, and "bathroom singers" when anyone can register anywhere as an artist ?

- A good way to get more visibility is to gather in a group of high quality artists, give a name to that group, so that people can be sure that they will get something good when they will listen or buy some music of a musician refering to that named group.

- The high level of quality of the group has to be preserved, so we need to have simple and clear rules for attendance and acceptation of new artists in the group.

- Online live music is still an unknown territory whose best pionners are already involved in Second Life. At the same time, on line live music can surely be a good strategy to get some visibility on the web, on virtual worlds like SL, but also on other places, using web tv, as well as web radios, and other media that we dont know yet.

- Virtual worlds are also good places to experiment new relationships between artists and public, and to find out new ways to build social networks that really works.

- We have to use the best of the new technologies and put up some tools that will be helpfull for each artist joining the group. Those tools have to use the latest features of web 2, rss automatic feedings for exemple, so that we can interconnect what each one is already doing on his or her side, instead of trying to do doing something new, which would be too much time consuming. Thoses tools could be : a weblog, a webradio, a tvchannel, a 3D place in SL, and so on ...

spotlight on Sonorous Break

Fife based band, Sonorous Breaks rock hard enough to please, with melodic female vocals adding depth and meaning to well crafted, catchy originals to their own take on well known covers. Andrea, originally from California, provides a much needed feminine touch to Sonorous Breaks in the male dominated scene.

Sonorous Breaks are Andrea (Violet Whybrow) who plays ,as she says, her “vocal awesomeness”, Martin (Biggus Asbrink)at the drums , Dale (Chupacabra Beaumont) who plays just bass(even if he’d like to learn the trumpet though),Angus (Geo Yohogania) plays mainly guitar but dabble on the keyboard, (“II would say drums -he says-but my band members would debate that “)

They play in SL for the love of music, just for tips...respecting maybe the pristine sense of SL as the perfect place to create and share creativity with others.

Andrea only is from Petaluma California, while the others band members come come directly from Sunny Fife in Sunny Scotland .

They’ve been involved in music from different time:Andrea has been playing music for 25 years,Martin almost 7 years Angus about 18 years, while Dale got his bass for Christmas 2002, but he never really started 'playing' music until 2004.

They describe their style basically as a sort of grunge rock with a bit of metal melody and madness mashed together:definitely their sound is just energetic and lively,not too flashy, but at the same time a little unique.

Since I’m always very interested in the process of musical creation Ia asked them how long does it take to write a song or piece of music.
“It depends,-Andrea says- sometimes it ‘s fast and some take months and some songs evolve over time.” Dale instead just usually needs about 30 minutes to create a new song, even if of course it takes longer to perfect it though”

“It all depends on how inspired I am or how we feel.-Angus says -I can have an idea for a whole song just pop into my head and that's it but some take a little more development with help from the guys when its just an idea for a riff”.

Angus thinks of himself as being a good but not great songwriter,although he’s versatile ,as he was classically trained, so he finds he can switch styles of playing very easy. He’s quite proud to be one of those rare breeds of rock musician that can actually read music!

Except Dale, who just writes music (“ I wouldn't be trusted to write lyrics!”) the others band members are equally involved both in doing lyrics and music

Then I asked which acts have most inspired them.
“As a child Madonna -Andrea says-as I got older I would say the Black Crowes, Hole and Nine Inch Nails.”

Without any false modesty Martin says “Me personally(he laughs) but also Foo Fighters, Tool, 36 Crazyfists, Rage Against the Machine”.

Dale has been inspired by Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave but soon he learned to play bass and develop his style by listening to them.

Angus says:” The Black Crowes, is my favourite band ever, but also Rage Against the Machine, Skunk Anansie, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Faith No More, 80's/ 90's cock rock ...oh and not forgetting the musical powerhouse Britney Spears!!! (he says laughing)”

For these guys everything can be a source of inspiration and ideas for songs or pieces of music just come up with things, their lyrics come from experiences and other peoples stories.

Angus says :”Anywhere really can inspire me:I could be doing the most mundane thing and an idea just pops in there and I've gotta go get something down before I forget it. Most of the time I find things just happen when I'm just messing around on my guitar and Annie says she likes what I did....then I have to work out what that actually was “

For Dale everything starts from the music “ I usually just try to work around the guitar..”:”Playing gigs and seeing people enjoying our music inspires to play more..Angus got his inspiration from his mood and Dale says:”My source of inspiration are...peanuts. I suffer as Charlie Brown suffers!”he jokes

Definitely they influence each other as a band, “When it works it’s magic and everyone can feel it in the room.
they play together because they feel a sort of urgency that shows through Angus words:”i have a need to play. If I'm not in a band making and playing musical I get a bit stir crazy!!! I just need to do it.

Then i asked which song would they most like to have written, Andrea chooses Evenflow by pearl jam its song perfection!! Martin: Everlong - Foo Fighters.
Dale’s choice is Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, also known as the Moonlight Sonata. (I wish I wrote that.he says)
Angus: Ooh this is a tough one but probably "Groove is in the Heart" by Deelite, I love that song it makes me happy lol Shocking choice as it's not a rock song but hey it's my song yo!!!!

Then we started spending some words about SL first I asked them how did they discover it.

Andrea is the one who first discovered it off a music forum and then she introduced this amazing virtual stage to the others band members and shelped her band mates to create their avatar as well.

What basically brought them inworld has been their urge to do music on another platform.The idea of live musicians playing in virtual clubs intrigued them all so they had to check it out.

When they are not on stage they love exploring all around SL:

Angus tends to go see other musicians play and that's about it.
“Concerts mainly or any cool sims that people suggest to me, I like well built and creative things.-he says”

All the Sonorous Break agree that SL can be a valid showcase for their oRL works because of its worldwide audience!!
“It's a good promotion tool for people to listen to your music all round the world. an-Martin says-and to top it off its free to do that!”
“It has potential... -adds Dale-people have shown an interest, so if we work hard I think it can be.
Angus: Absolutely. It's an outlet to a worldwide audience and we tend to get more attending our SL shows than RL ones l”
The main reason by the way is just that they have a lot fun and they like to let people hear theirmusic,.”Of course Anrdrea says-if we can gain anything from it,that would be awesome. AySorry for the cliché”

Finally my last question:”Where do you see yourself a year from now:will Second Life still exist?”
“Second Life will still exist and we will conquer the world!!!-Andrea says and Martin: I “hope the band will be more established in real life and in second life. Yeah i think it will till be around as more people hear about it everyday.”
Dale adds“Definitely! I think we'll still be playing on Second Life - maybe even more often. The more we play, the more people will hear us. The more people that hear us, the more fans we'll acquire! And the more we play, the more fun we'll have. “

As he travels the inner sphere of Second Life, Chap blends a mellow concoction of acoustic music ranging from rustic old timey mountain melodies to jangly folk rock to the latest in Red Dirt music. Chap's voice converges with his blistering mountain style flat picking and graceful finger picking to bring you a musical experience unlike any other in Second Life.

Not to be outdone by a unique cache of cover songs, Chap writes his own music and lyrics as well. Ok... you found Blueron Clyburn here on SL. Well, Blue didn't pop out of the blue.. Forty years of journeyman musicianship backs up this SL avi.

A journey that has taken him from Buffalo NY where he formed his first group around a folk, early jazz and blues tradition. Blue, then known as Ron, accompanied himself acoustic guitar.

A journey that took him to Boston, MA to study piano at New England Conservatory.

Blue spent a lot of years on the road honing his playing and singing in front of audiences all across the eastern United States from New England. to New Orleans. From the gulf coast of Florida to Dusseldorf, Germany audiences have been captivated by his very personal approach to each song he sings.

Since the 1980s, Blue has lived in and around New York City, playing regularly at The Bitter End, and Kenny's Castaways as well as many others venues ranging from CBGB's to the Blue Note.

Relax to the live music of STRUMMER SWANSONG; a veteran RL/SL performer. The concerts include an eclectic mix of contemporary acoustic folk music, soulful ballads, meaningful and rare covers performed with a relaxed style and sensitivity. If you love to relax and listen to high quality music, then you will enjoy STRUMMER SWANSONG.

Strummer was part of a team that set up a highly successful Unplugged venue in his home town. The weekly concerts ran for nearly 10 years and featured local artists performing in a wide range of musical styles. Prior to the arrival of Unplugged, the venue had been home to several up and coming artists, the most notable being Mark Knopfler in his pre Dire Straits days.

Tech stuff: The RL strummer plays a Takamine EN-10 Accoustic/Electric (SL version is an ENA-10c). He broadcasts into SL via Winamp / Shoutcast / Wirecast / Logitech 2 meg/pixel web cam and mixes guitar and vocal (Samson C15 condenser mic) with an Edirol UA-25EX USB Portable Audio Interface. The most recent addition is a Behringer XENYX 1002FX Premium Mixer with reverb effects built in. The aim is to produce a clean, rich, clear sound with a good dynamic range and no distortion.

SANDY:Where are you from?
HAIRY: I was born and raised in Atlantic Canada, where I still reside today.

SANDY:How long have you been playing music?
HAIRY: I started playing at the age of 15, which would make it 20 years now.

SANDY:Let's start spending some words about SL :how did you discover SL? what brought you inworld?
HAIRY: I was made aware of SL via Rolling Stone Magazine, whom had an article about the emerging trend of live online performances, focusing on Frog and Jaycat, two RL and SL performers who were doing shows at SL's oldest live club, The Lily Pad Lounge (now closed).

SANDY:Did you ever think to use your real name for what you usually do in Second Life?
HAIRY: People who know me, my friends, know the real me and who I am, as we speak in SL and outside of it as well. I promote my music in SL, so there is no hiding your real self if you are an artist of any type. It is not possible to effectively promote your RL works if you are hiding behind an avatar. That only works if you keep all of the content strictly digital, and have no intentions of performing in RL in front of a live audience.

SANDY:Can you describe your experience in SL:what did you like to do when you were not playing?did you like to go to live music events or to art exibits?
HAIRY:When I am not performing live I enjoy DJing a lot and spending time with some close friends hanging out and acting silly. I enjoy taking photography and doing digital editing, and that alone keeps me busy with people looking for quality shots. I would love to say I do more in SL, but RL work and rehearsals do not afford me the time to do so.

SANDY:What has influenced you to get your to where you are today musically?
HAIRY: Oddly enough, everything! As a young musician there were not only the mainstream artists in the music industry, but people in my hometown that had a major impact ... lit a fire under my ass so to speak. Seeing great musicians perform sparks the want to practice and learn more, more chords, more voicings and more styles. Growing up I listened to everything from Elvis to Megadeth and everything in between. To draw from one style of music would lead to a very narrow and shallow view of music as a whole, which leads to a very limited repertoire of influences to let your creativity flow through. To pick any groups or musicians that have influenced me would take a long time, but a short list would include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Primus, the Grateful Dead, Megadeth ... god, the list could go on and on. I also produce and engineer recording sessions at our studio, so my influences go far beyond the actual performers. Producers like Butch Vig, Dr. Dre and the Neptunes, as well as mastering engineers such as Bob Ludwig have influenced the way I approach tones and music production and assembly.

SANDY:Do you think SL could be a valid showcase for your RL works?
HAIRY:It already has. Web traffic to the websites have gone up, I have sold a few MP3's as well as just getting the music heard. The best part of SL is if someone doesnt like your music, odds are they will tell you, unlike in RL where they are too shy to say anything. Sitting behind a keyboard empowers people to speak their mind, and that is usually a good thing.

SANDY:How would you describe your style?
HAIRY: A little bit of everything all at once :)

SANDY:Which are the sources of your inspiration?
HAIRY: Music. Music inspires. Music is life.

SANDY: you have just released your last CD:in which is it different from your previous ones?
HAIRY: Each and every release grows and encompasses all of the best from the past, with what has been learned to the point where the CD is released. To not grow musically would be to stagnate or even regress into the same old style and songwriting, which would grow tiring not only to your audience, but to yourself.

SANDY:Where do you see yourself a year from now:will Second Life still exist?
HAIRY: Second Life will exist until such a time when LLabs locks down the user experience to a point in which other virtual worlds take over and support the customer and its needs. As far as myself, I will be performing in both worlds still, and hopefully a little better each day.
