Some of the simplest and most elegant career alternatives that might be calling to us, unheard, because they were talking in a whisper, and overpowered by that louder more familiar noise.

Your answers do not need to be eloquent, or elegant... They simply are your desired outcomes. Consider this an exercise in visioning, and exploring what the ideal end state looks like. Over the years, we have seen many a brilliant professional attach so much focus, activity, and fear to "What they DON'T want to happen, that they neglect to define the case for what they will do when the DO want this to happen. It feels better to think of a successful outcome, and throughout history, it is those able to vision a situation uncommonly satisfying to their objective that improved their options tremendously.

"Extreme" Conscious Careering is a study in opposites, and a deliberate awareness of challenging our thoughts and actions to finding the myriad of positive options that exist for us. Some starter tips are here, we will be sharing more:

"Feeling" good,is allowing good." If good and bad despite circumstances are both options, we can create, learn and appreciate, by identifying from this moment, the choices, and the milestones we will pass while achieving the end state objective.

Absorb the experience and appreciate progress in yourself and others. We evolve by accepting progress more than feeling stuck. Try an exercise of "over-response" Trade some of your deadlines, fears and judgements of failure for being trapped in overly responsible demands to explore the gentler process of recognizing what is the more attractive, fulfilling, and rewarding outcome."

"Progress" with a "Principle" is enjoying the positive action, rather than pushing out an unpleasant one. There are at least 5 alternatives we could explore that might be better than the approach, or results we would like to change. Challenge the thoughts, beliefs and limitations that start an automatic dance of "stuck". As a brilliantly conscious career agent, we have choices, and some of them involve choosing a more inspiring dance. We do not have to be unsensitive we simply have to be aware of our role, our choice, and our options. Not every song requires we dance, and we can challenge the rules, when we are conscious of them.

Nourish yourself and others with the tools of optimism, options, and creativity. Let us be a better reminder of seeing the good intent and capabilities and reminding one another than keeping score of metrics that keep us feeling "stuck" in the illusion of not good enough. Optimistic thinking does not involve ignoring your feelings, but it does involve managing the choices we take as a result of feeling stuck. "Feeling" and "being" are not the same thing, but we forget conscious choice, when we get too busy with our dance.

You have been productive far more than unproductive, so stop doing what you know is bad for you, and start being radical about meeting your conscious careering, "BEST" self! Stop chasing, comparing, judging, and assessing, and start appreciating, recognizing, and feeling progress.

TIPS:

Connect to others who have accomplished what you aspire to do, and are willing to share and inspire. If your choice is "limitation" or possibility, choose the extra care option.

Choose marketing, thoughts, objectives, and words that inspire and represent you, even by letting go of the lack, and attaching marketing agents that help you brand yourself.

Do something each day that stretches you. If it's got a glossy graphic, maybe a starburst or style distinction, is that enough to satisfy the buzz? Nope. Using Tim's definition as a jumping off point the jobs and employment market itself must come to reach the Web Business 2.0 model as well.

Web Business 2.0 is not a proprietary site, broadcasting out, a traditional medium with manual response and minimal relationships. It's become an interesting mash of intellectual content plus open sourcing and collaboration. The spinning of Web Business 2.0 produces a speed, and a richness of business interaction.

So how does the Traditional Job Search and Job Search 2.0 Compare?

Traditional Job Search
Resume In Microsoft Word
Register on Monster > wait for a call.
Fax your Resume > wait for a call.
Read the Want Ads> where next?
Resume Blasters> wait to be found
Recruiters as "resume collectors"
Job Board Ad > wait for resumes
Yahoo and LinkedIn Requests

Job Search 2.0
Social Networked: Naymz, LinkedIn, Lijit, FaceBook
Sound Strategy: JobHunt.org, JibberJobber, HFCN
Leverage the network of win win business networkers.
Microblogging Matters- Great blog by Cheezhead
Responsible quality, relationships, and service delivery.
Resumes, must be connected to credible talent.
RSS Feed Model and Recruiter community networking
Go direct to a community where supply meets demand.
Recruiters Partner and leverage Recruiter Networks for shared results.

Read More About It:
"Happy About" Books on Social Networking for Linked In and Facebook.
Helping Friends Career News Blog

In life, in our careers, and in our experience, we have choices...

Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of career optimism, produced by J. Howard Miller, during World War II, a representation of about 6 million women women who assumed the role of the real life, Rosie's. Sometimes in life, we are so busy trying to survive, we miss the beauty found in optimism and action. We need to celebrate more stories of possibility, like that of Rose Will Monroe.

Our original "Rosie", Rose Will Monroe was born in Coppell, Texas in 1920. During World War II she moved to Michigan and worked in manufacturing, as a riveter at the Willow Run Aircraft Factory. She did not choose to be an riveter because it was glamourous.. Her work was uncommon, but her choice to do this work was not so uncommon.

A job needs to be done. Let us not get bogged down in the story, let us just do that job to the best of our ability, we can do it!

The widower, Mrs. Monroe, joined the workforce to manage a difficult time. She was left with 2 young children after her husband was killed in a car accident. What made her special? She did. She chose to do what needed to be done. The sadness of the circumstances would not be near so compelling as the decision that regardless of what happens in life, we will find the abundant resources to make the right decisions. We can learn to employ tools that are familiar or unfamiliar to produce results that are uncommon.

Rose Monroe had lifelong dreams of becoming a pilot, and a working optimism to allow dreams to happen. She worked hard on many careers, providing for her family, while training towards her big vision... At some 50 years of age, Rose became a pilot, and the only female member of a local aeronautics club.

Do what you love. Do a little bit of it everyday, while you are doing what matters for your family, your community, your country, and your world.. This has expansive possibility in helping us to recognize our best selves.

Let us not get too bogged down in the doom and gloom news about how bad it is.. It would indeed be a sad story, if "Rosie the "Widower" was where the story ended. We have a celebration at hand, it's called living... let us do so with zeal.

5 Counter Productive Career Ideas We Shouldn't Try if Really We Intend to Fly.

Maximize the fearful threat, minimize the potential good.

Flaming anger at a seemingly repetitive situation feels great for a minute, then flames the fire of a gentler path that might be waiting you.

Those who try hailing a cab, dressed like the Grim Reaper, might have difficulty getting where they want to go.

Mis-spelling quality when emphasizing your 'attention to detail', in a resume, doesn't work.

Assuming the job won't pay as much, if the range isn't posted, or it might be looking only for top performers.

__________________________________________________________________________

Register at: HFCN Job Seekers Main Menu.

LinkedIn Groups: Business Network | Jobs Network | Recruiting Professionals |
Plaxo Groups: Business Network | LI2 Recruiting Professionals |
Yahoo Groups: HFCN Jobs | HF Career Talk | LI HF Business |Telecommuting Professionals | Women's Business Execs |

The organizational hero in IT seems to be the one person that scoops in at the last minute and saves the day. For a long time then, many of us lost ourselves in thinking that preparing for the worst case scenario and disaster recovery would be sufficient.

I extended this notion to the rest of my life planning, hence, I was prepared for what I would do if I lost my job like so many thousands of others. I could prepare for if the symptoms I had progressed into cancer...

All this hoping for the best and planning for the worst was what needed to be released however. Too many people are willing to tell you why you are a failure and are never going to make it in an effort. By way of returning the old beliefs that no longer serve, we will include some real live career limiting beliefs and inspirations.

Helping Friends Career Network was founded by people who believed in possibility regardless of headlines, and are grateful that others felt enough to represent their Business Beliefs. For those who presented their beliefs with such strong fear and limitations, we are Returning with appreciation for your desire to make an impression, and a sincere desire to pursue more productive options to what you would offer to dissuade others..

Honestly, I think you have too great an opinion of yourself and your skills.

Are you even sure you can solve this problem? You can't even speak normal English?

Why are you even in this business, I am of the belief you are incompetent?

What the heck are you going to do with another degree at your age?

Why do you think anyone else will pay you what we overpay you? You should be happy you still have a job in this layoff environment.

These beliefs are too often the kinds of things we take as proof that things are as bad as we let them be. Let us challenge the limitations with a few real life inspirations of individuals that would not back down to "Career Limiting Opinions" of others.

Summarized the heroes are those who challenge traditional limitations with uncommon success. Not because they are "warring" against negativity, but because they take so much genuine joy in what they do, that the critical words of another does not affect their stronger desire to be part of something more meaningful.

You are good enough to define your career path, and work for productive, deserving career stability.

You are smart enough to manage your own resilience, and your success was surely an indication of your potential, your setbacks, an opportunity to make a clearer decision.

Resources and stories of inspiration:

Jackie Streeter is a delight to know. She has inspired many in business at Apple where she worked in Cupertino CA as a senior Engineering Director, proving the belief that it is not the size of an organization, but results that matter.. Today she inspires the heart warming tradition of thoughtful business networking over a great cup of coffee! All who know Jackie can not help but feel she is THAT inspirational! Two years ago she and her sons became owners of the popular California Bay Area Coffee Society Coffee Shops.

Bob Love - overcame the limiting disbelief from others, and was a peak performer despite a serious stuttering problem. Humble beginnings to top in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls, to overcoming serious health setbacks, this champion was a winner at all times.

Career Success for Newbies

You might be a redneck if... you think Jeff Foxworthy was always just a funny hillbilly! He traded his career as an IBM Mainframe Support Person for a career in comedy... Hey, that's funny!

We knew his technical talent! IT Development Program Manager Tu Trinh helped many of us with the web stuff that we could not resolve on our own. He was a talent, but we never knew the depth or capacity of his dreams until he LEFT Sun.. Last year he won Vietnam Idol!

Too old for WHAT!!! Anna Mary Robertson was the wife of a Virginia based farmer.. She was perhaps better known as Grandma Moses, an American Folk Artist, sold her first painting when she was nearly 80 years old, she was shortly thereafter features on TIME and LIFE magazines!

Be Special, Be Anything, But Mediocre. Was the title of one of Carol Eacret - Simmons Art shows. She grew up in central IL, raised 3 kids, and went back to college when her last child left home, got her AA, BA, and MFA. At the time most of her friends were looking forward to retirement she accepted her first professional opportunity ever for Dickinson State in North Dakota. So what is it that IS expected of me, and what will I be willing to give my time, my value, and my resources to.

If our outer world mirrors the reflection of our inner creation, then doesn't it stand to reason that our thoughts do create our reality. Do you think smaller, limited, or "worst case scenario"? I don't know if you relate, but I recognize suddenly that I have given too much of my own life to creative and empowered living, who 'manages' her experiences to the "what is the worst thing that can happen".

Exploring the beliefs and the harmonic mirror of our life.. What are we doing to add to or subtract from our core values. I had to be willing to give up the time spent on what I would do if the worst case scenario happened... Now in program management and in business this has served me well... however for career resilience, I have got to be willing to also explore what is the best thing that can happen if I dare to articulate it?

If people mirror what is going on within us, the answers are resonating without having to fix them, we can just accept them, and manage our choices more creatively. What must we do to face our greater fears, and embrace our bigger self.

What if I try and fail?
What if I am alone and abandoned?
What if I am not really needed or necessary?

The real question is what if we are not so attached to the limitations? What would we do instead?

Claiming your universal vision by confronting those limitations, by calling them to higher ground, and becoming our best selves.. What does this look like for you? For me it looks a bit like this for me:

What would I be doing in life, in health and business success?
What does being complete and connected do for me?
What if I no longer held my important relationships hostage to my fears, my loss, and my need to control? What if we just loved one another?
