Et voilà encore un gros coup de coeur! Vous commencez à savoir que c’est comme cela que je fonctionne! Quand cette robe est apparue sur Simply Be, les plus accros à la mode y ont vu une belle occasion d’avoir une pièce inspirée Prada, mais pour moi c’est un énorme coup de coeur car j’ai grandi dans une famille de collectionneurs, et plus particulièrement des jouets des années 50/60. Cela ce voir certainement sur certaines tenues, je suis toujours attirée par ce côté un peu rockabilly. Je vous ai donc fait quelques photos dans une petite partie de notre “grenier”, là où se reposent de nombreux jouets après avoir fait le bonheur d’enfants. Ils y ont une retraite bien méritée.

Watch out! Another dress that was love at first sight. You’re starting to know that’s how I roll. When this dress appeared on Simply Be, the most fashion savvy of us, saw the opportunity to have something inspired by Prada. But for me it was more than that because I grew up in a family of collectors, and most of all collectors of 50s/60s toys. It probably shows in some outfits that I am drawn a little to everything that’s rockabilly. So I took a few pictures in our “attic” where toys are resting after playing long hours with kids. They are having a well-deserved time off.

I am in Coachella mode today… You know that festival that takes place every year in the desert in California? Well I think that’s what I’d wear for that… Minus the denim jacket because it is the desert after all. ;) I had been looking for a pink maxi skirt for a while and finally found one at New Look. They have quite a few elasticated skirt for the moment so it’s worth trying in 18.

C’est la bonne nouvelle du week-end: Simply Be livre enfin en Belgique ainsi que dans 24 autres pays européens (frais de port €7,50)!

Simply Be est une enseigne très importante sur le marché anglais, et depuis quelques mois ils commencent à y ouvrir des boutiques (on croise les doigts pour Londres). Cela va faire plusieurs années que j’achète leurs vêtements par eBay ou grace à des amies là-bas, et j’ai toujours été ravie de la qualité. En plus ils font un réel effet pour suivre les tendances sans les épurer. Vous trouverez aussi sur le site de la lingerie, chaussures et maillots de bain! Hâte de passer une première commande! The prices have increased a bit at Primark but I think that the quality of the dresses is much better. They don’t do plus size (yet) but depending on the cuts it’s possible to find a few things. You know I often mention Debenhams for clothes as I love to wander around the departement store when I am in London. Il y a une semaine, j’ai été contactée par Claudia, propriétaire de la boutique Hyphen Store, me demandant si je souhaitais faire un concours en partenariat avec elle. Je crois que toutes les blogueuses belges parlent de la météo pour le moment mais c’est juste horrible. Il fait froid, il pleut,… J’ai l’impression d’être en novembre. Et non, après 32 ans passé en Belgique je ne suis toujours pas habituée à cette météo. J’ai donc eu très difficile avec mes photos vu que le soleil n’arrêtait pas de disparaître… Enfin c’est une tenue assez basique, pas besoin de 1000 photos non plus!

J’ai égayé ma journée avec mon pull fluo ASOS et surtout avec mon gros coup de coeur chez Veritas, ce superbe foulard. Il est immense et surtout j’adore le patchwork des différents imprimés. I think all the Belgian bloggers are complaining about the weather but it’s just awful. So cold, so rainy,… It feels like november. And no, even after 32 years in Belgium, I am still not used to that weather. So my pictures didn’t turn out great since the sun was playing hide and seek… But that’s alright, it’s a pretty basic outfit, no need for a thousand pictures anyway!

I tried to brighten my day with my neon ASOS jumper but also with this awesome scarf I found at Veritas. It’s huge and I am in love with the patchwork of prints. Au passage je vous montre aussi deux de mes produits préférés pour le moment. Le pigment Beguile d‘Illamasqua. Impossible de le prendre convenablement en photo mais il s’agit d’un pigment à paillettes (très fines) avec reflets vert, rose,… Vraiment superbe. Je l’avais repéré chez Sprinkle of Glitter et je ne suis pas déçue de l’avoir acheté. Et puis le rouge Caresse l’Oréal qui est un peu un hybride entre un rouge à lèvre et un baume en Impulsive Fushia . La tenue est moyenne mais il hydrate vraiment bien.

Btw here are two of my favourite products for the moment. Illamasqua pure pigment in Beguile. It’s really hard to photograph but it’s a very finely milled pigment with green, pink,… reflects. Really nice. I had seen it on Sprinkle of Glitter and I am not disappointed. Also the hybrid lipstick/balm from l’Oréal in Impulsive Fushia. It doesn’t stay super long your lips but it’s quite hydrating.
