国产偷拍视频Lincoln Christian University is pleased to announce that Dr. Frank Dicken has accepted the call to serve as Vice President of Academics effective January 1, 2020.

国产偷拍视频Dr. Dicken is Associate Professor of New Testament at LCU and has served here since 2013. He follows Dr. Barney Wells, who has served as both Graduate and Seminary Academic Dean and Interim Chief Academic Officer since June 1.

国产偷拍视频Dr. Dicken is an accomplished member of our faculty as well as a graduate of the former Lincoln Christian College (East Coast) and Lincoln Christian Seminary. He also holds a Certificate of Advanced Study from St. Mary’s Seminary and University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh. He has served as the School of Bible and Theology Representative on the University’s Academic Council, as the Program Director for the B.A. in Biblical Studies, and the Faculty Athletics Representative. He is the author or editor of a number of publications on Luke-Acts, which was also the focus of his doctoral work. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and the British New Testament Society. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at many institutions including TCMI, Hope International University, and Mid-Atlantic Christian University, and served six years as the Preaching Minister at Creswell Christian Church in Bel Air, Maryland.

One of our most popular undergraduate faculty members, Dr. Dicken will continue to teach undergraduate Bible courses, a reflection of his belief that “LCU will prepare you for your chosen vocation, but at the heart of all we do is reflection on Scripture.”

国产偷拍视频Dr. Dicken and his wife Jill live in Springfield, Illinois, and attend Southside Christian Church.

国产偷拍视频Fred Hansen, LCC ’97, LCS ’02, LCS ’09, is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies with the TCM International Institute, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Heiligenkreuz, Austria, where he has served since 2011.

When not traveling overseas teaching and volunteering for
TCM, Fred and his wife, Dr. Cindy Hansen, reside in Minnesota with their two
children, daughter Madeline and son Parker.

国产偷拍视频Fred completed his Ph.D. in 2019 at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. His dissertation entitled, “The Alpha and Omega and Lampstands Metaphors: A Linguistic Theory of Metaphor as Applied to the Book of Revelation,” was the culmination of studies he began with the late Dr. Robert Lowery, Academic Dean and beloved Professor of New Testament at Lincoln Christian Seminary. In a soon to be announced and celebrated appointment, TCM will install Fred as the Robert Lowery Faculty Chair to honor Dr. Lowery’s legacy of preaching, teaching, leading, and disciple making at TCM as well as at LCU.

Dr. Mark Mangano and Dr. Fred Hansen

Not only did LCU partner with TCM and Dr. Hansen through his
previous education, but during the dissertation process, Nancy Olson and Leslie
Starasta, librarians at LCU, provided research assistance. Additionally, Dr.
Mark Mangano, Professor of Old Testament at LCU, traveled with the Hansens to
Nijmegen to serve as one of Fred’s paranymphs for the Hora Est, the Dutch
version of the doctoral defense.

Fred continues to minister and teach with TCM in the US, and will also travel to Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the coming months, teaching in several countries there as well. More information about the ministry of TCM can be found at tcmi.org or tcmi.edu. Feel free to contact Fred at fred.hansen@tcmi.edu.

Roger, LCC ’84, and Teena (Danley), LCC ’84, Foster started in ministry and have taken a circuitous route to the ministry they currently serve in central Vermont.

国产偷拍视频They left LCC after graduating with one child and another on the way. Roger preached for almost two years at Cooperstown Christian Church (which later transitioned to Cornerstone Christian and then The Crossing) in Mt. Sterling, IL, before entering into a church planting internship with Christ’s Church of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ. They later planted Christ’s Church of Goodyear on the west side of the Valley of the Sun and led that church for nine years. Roger resigned from exhaustion in 1998. Unfortunately, the church closed its doors, which was a low point in Roger’s life and ministry.

国产偷拍视频In 1999, they relocated to the state of Vermont to be closer to family. Roger worked as a patient advocate and Executive Director of the Vermont Chiropractic Association for about two years. The churches in the area were doing little to reach families with young children. Roger and Teena knew the time had come to start a church in their community when one of their four daughters came to them and said, “I feel like I am losing Jesus.”

In the fall of 2001, Roger and Teena pulled four families together to discuss planting a church in Brandon, VT. They officially launched LifeBridge Christian Church in a school cafeteria in April of 2003. With God’s amazing help and provision, LifeBridge purchased a 4500 sq. ft. building on 31.4 acres of land 10 years later. LifeBridge is currently looking to expand its staff and move toward a transition of leadership in the pulpit. Roger and Teena are currently engaged in an exciting business venture that can support them and their desire for lifelong ministry into their retirement.

Richard “Rick” A. Hobkirk, LCC ’69, passed away from the result of a massive stroke on October 29, 2019 at Desert Regional Memorial Hospital in Palm Springs, California, with his loving family at his side.

Rick resided in Palm Springs with his wife, Margo L. (Rector), LCC, since his retirement in 2007. She survives.
