The Indiana Chamber of Commerce designated a total of 70 companies as part of the 2012 “Best Places to Work in Indiana,” for creating a productive environment in which employees feel valued. The program, in its seventh year, is presented by Comcast Business Class. Bluefish Wireless was selected as a top small- to medium-sized company. Bluefish came in at 24th on the list.

All selected companies received an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees, which will be used in developing and enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs within Bluefish moving forward.

“It’s a privilege to be part of such a great list of Indiana companies,” said Scott Kraege, director at Bluefish Wireless. “We value our employees and always recognize their hard work and accomplishments. Our goal is so continue to provide a work-friendly environment so that Bluefish can expand here locally while also building a national brand in the mobile, wireless and IT industry.”

It’s not easy being a wireless carrier. Offering great products and services can lead to success, but customer retention also relies on a high level of customer satisfaction. By focusing on customer relations, our carrier partner, Sprint Nextel, has topped the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) charts again, taking first place among the big carriers for 2012 with a score of 71 (out of 100).

Following three years of swift ACSI progress, Sprint has been holding steady working hard to dramatically improve customer relations.

Every year the ACSI surveys more than 70,000 customers in 47 different industries to see who’s leading the way in high levels of customer service. The survey also covers consumers’ attitudes about handsets, fixed-line phone service, subscription TV service, computer software and information and entertainment choices.

This year, Sprint’s top marks edge out competitors AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, and CEO Dan Hesse points to the company’s improvement in customer care as one of the carrier’s signature achievements.

You can find out more information about the ACSI survey and the 2012 results by checking out this link.

Stipends don’t reduce wireless costs,” is just one of the unorthodox claims Brandon Hampton, Director at Bluefish MGMT and MOBI, makes during his recent interview with CIO.com.

Now, if you’re reading this, I’m sure you’ve been hearing a lot about the pros and cons of BYOD, so here’s a PDF version of the article for your own consumption. If you have any questions, I encourage you to leave a reply or contact us directly at mgmt@bluefishwireless.net

As you may know, in October of 2011 Sprint took notice of the successes that MOBI was having in the mobility management market, and asked to rebrand that exact solution as Bluefish MGMT. Today, Bluefish MGMT is sold exclusively through the Sprint Mobility Management Program (MMP), and information such as this is what can be expected when working with the well-educated Bluefish MGMT/MOBI team.

At Bluefish MGMT, we’re very experienced in navigating the muddy waters of BYOD, so if you are considering such a transition at this time or in the future please don’t hesitate to leave a reply below or contact us directly at mgmt@bluefishwireless.net.

Bluefish landed in Houston last week for the South Texas, All Hands meeting. While there, we had a chance to visit the West Houston office and get a sneak of The Map Room.

The Map Room is a space that Steve Smith, Strategic Opportunity Manager, repurposed as a war room. Steve began gathering and documenting (on the walls no less) information on the many ways that oil and gas customers are harnessing mobility. The goal is to identify additional ways that Sprint can leverage its network and technology, and to have a place to collaborate on next strategic step(s). We thought this was an idea worth sharing.
