“It’s been a while since I’ve caught the world beat/rootsicana of Bloomfield’s Blue Jimmy. These cats swung from honky tonk to funky tonk while the Friday night crowd at Sticky Lips Juke Joint swung from the rafters. And as varied as this band gets — “Blister In The Sun,” hello? — it’s all strung out and strung together with some hell-bound, angelic harmony.”

We’re brushing up the final mixes for our live album. It’ll include a dozen of so tracks from across our past 4 albums, all recorded live at various locations we frequent. We’d like to think of it as scrapbook of sorts, a collage of some great memories playing out for you.  Hey, every band needs a “Greatest Hits Live”, don’t they?

Next show is on Jan 26 at Mickey Finn’s in Victor, NY. We’re also happy to announce a couple of dates at Sticky Lips Juke Joint in Henrietta, one of our fav rooms. We’ll see you there on Feb 22.

Our experience at Rochester’s WXXI Public Broadcasting last week was incredible. The production of “OnStage” is first-class, and the production crew were a joy to work with. We can’t wait to see the episode when it airs.

Many thanks go out to all our fans that came out on a cold, wet, Wednesday night, and stayed late through the show and hung around for drinks and laughs in the WXXI reception area afterward. We’re lucky to have such great fans.

Taping for our spot is on Oct. 26 at 9:00pm. Guests are welcome to attend the taping, and can arrive as early as 8:00pm.
