Alex was one of my first friends when I moved to Atlanta in 2004. We met in small group and she was still a studio who wanted more than anything to become a writer. I would later photograph her wedding and now got to celebrate with her by creating unique “head shots” for her new books being published. Her second book in her series was just released. (Coal Bin images were taken in front of pieces of the set of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, which was filmed on the property where my studio is located, the boys just had a blast playing with the bins)

The past few months have flown by and I had an amazing fall and winter season at the studio, however, I have not had the time to share many of the sessions here on the blog, so here is my start at playing catch up on the blog.

The Thompsons are a dear family, Mark and I have worked together, at my day job, for eight and half years! It was a joy to have them into the studio for fun family portraits complete with all personalities displayed ever so clearly in the images. It was also great they brought Santa Hats for their holiday portrait!

In July, I got to work with an Atlanta artist, Matt Armstrong, to create a few images for references for a new series he is working on.
