    Our brains create mental models based on prior experience. When faced with novel situations, they have to make a huge effort to update these models to accommodate new evidence. When the effort becomes too high they trigger fear/anxiety, prompting us to retreat to comfort zones.

    Wonder if there's any data on this. Are people happier with their overall career when they A. Work at 1 company for 35 years B. Switch companies ~ 2-3 years C. Switch companies ~ 5-10 years Tech leans towards (B) but I don't know if it's better for employees or employers.
